JKR accused of "humiliation and harassment" by eBay The internet auction site, eBay (formerly known as bazee.com in India) has charged author J.K.Rowling of “spreading misinformation” about it and causing it “immense harassment and humiliation.” The complaint filed by eBay in the Delhi High Court states, Quote:
eBay has said that it should not be held responsible by JKR for the content in its website, as the website is a Quote:

that is so totally mean of them to accuse JK of that!!! :hairpull: Plus they really shouldn't be selling pirated:arg: HP merchandise anyway!!! 1st to post!!!:woot: |
thats ridiculous im on JKR's side entirely on this |
I find that un-fair. Jo doesn't deserve to be acused of something like that. |
Oh for goodness sake! They started this whole mess! |
That is so totally mean of them to accuse JK of that!!! JKR's side entirely on this |
That's is so rude of them! They shouldn't have been selling pirated Harry Potter merchandice anyway. |
Hang on didn't i read somwhere the E-Bay has a policy about selling pirated stuff? So why are they complaing about JKR telling them off for selling pirated stuff, they weren't exactly sticking to their own rules in the first place!!! Nicola |

I totally side with JKR on this - it's her books, her stories, her own original ideas and she shouldn't be having eBay cheating her own and breaking their own rules/policies! |
Ugh, those people are dummies :) I'm on JKR's side, duh. :) |
I seriously dont know why they're blaming JKR for this supposedly "hummiliation its their fault in the first place for letting pirated stuff even go on sale!! I swear some people just get me so frustrated:hairpull: |

Jo is just fighting for her rights! Ebay has no reasons to accuse her of anything! I am on Jo's side all the way! Ebay is just so...grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....I am just so mad right now! Jo is going to win any case they decide to take to court so I think Ebay is just wasting their time! |
Ebay some scum balls that sell through them, we had problem before. I'm glad Jk and Warner went afer them! |
man, JK's not to blame, they shouldn't be selling pirated crud in the first place. those darn mean people (I'd say something really bad about them, but swearing is against the rules here) |
I hope JK crushes them. Law's the law, and it's stupid to go around it. I hope they'll be known forever as an untrustworthy company. |
This is not a good thing! I am definitely on Jo's side! |
Oh for the love of GOD JK has every right to protect her interests. What is it with the courts in India, first they want Richard Gere arrested for smooching a woman now this crap? (Note, that is NOT a dig at the country of India or her people, it's just the fecked-up legal system they seem to have.) |
totally Ridculious!!! |
Ebay is not selling pirated stuff. Other people are. By attacking Ebay they aren't doing anything to stop the selling of pirated materials. I do think that JK's people have gone too far. Normally I'm on her side, but until they decide to attack the people selling the pirated material, and not the medium, I'm not going to back them on this one. |
That's so unfair! JO deserves so much more respect than this! And anyway eBay shouldn't be allowing people to sell the books! JO worked hard on the Harry Potter series and she deserves the profits! |
*gasp* No wai! JKR worked hard on the HP books! How very..... rude of them. :/ eBay can give us a hard time..... gits...... |

And Jo rocks. *shnugglesher* |
Authors have the right to decide how to sell their work, and as far as I know Jo hadn't autorized that selling, nor did any of the publishers of her works, so I really don't understand e-Bay's complaint. |
My goodness! <_< |
