J.K. Rowling talks "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" film, Lumos charity
J.K. Rowling, for the first time since the announcement in September, discussed her return to the Wizarding World with the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, which she is currently writing the script for. More on that, which she admitted will have many new characters though still in the same world as Harry Potter, and her work on the Lumos charity, can be viewed in her interviews with the BBC and Sky News on Saturday during the fundraising event at Warner Bros Studio Tour London.
News has also come out that Rowling will donate every penny made from sales of The Tales of Beedle the Bard to Lumos, which helps fight against institutionalised orphanages in Eastern Europe and Britain.
Quote:
Every penny of the £18.9million from the sale of Potter spin-off book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, went to the multi-millionaire’s Lumos charity, which works to end the horrors suffered by kids caged in institutions.
And next month, the writer’s “Lumos Maxima” bracelet with gold and diamond charms is expected to raise another £20,000 at auction at Sotheby’s in London.
