A young girl by the name of Maddie has gone missing, and several celebrities are doing what they can to help her be recovered safely. J.K. Rowling is one of the donators to the "Find Maddie Fund," which is a cash reward to whomever helps rescue her.

I really think that this will bring whoever has her the courage to step forward, after all, over one and a half million pounds is a lot of money... Also a load of bikers are going to drive all theway across Portugal in an attempt to raise more money, and to find people who know of Maddie's whereabouts. What makes it even more depresing is that it was Maddie's fourth birthday yesterday, and her parents spent the whole day praying for her in the local church. Well done J.K

Thats a lot of celebrities. Whats sad is when you look at some of the amount given, it looks tiny (especially to those who buys sports cars n such). But then you quickly think, "oh, its fine. Better to give something than nothing."
Hope they let her go, darn it! I think they deserve a public beating!
I think its all a conspiracy really. (pls don't clomp me -_-") Why such high profile for this one cute girl? There's more missing persons that can't afford such advertisement, poor families on the street, children used to beg for money, families who can't afford to get a computer, let alone pay for their child's hospital bills/ heart transplant - and so on... (don't don't clomp me  i'm just bias when some who can, don't help more) Thought this was a real o_0 moment...

It's 10 days today since Maddie has dissapeared and it's great that Jo is helping out, i don't know about the U.S, but it's all over the news in the UK about poor Maddie

Maddie's story is heartbreaking, and yesterday was her 4th birthday.. I really hope shes found soon, but its great what these celebritys are doing. I heard Richard Branson and Wayne Rooney added to the fund.

Thats really good of JKR, but i really can't help but feel why on earth was the girl left alone in the first place?
I feel so sorry for the parents and for Madeline, but...why leave your child alone, in a foreign country...on a family holiday?
