The cast and crew answered a few questions from fans around the world.
Dan Fogler said it was all right being a no-maj among wizards. After all, “Han Solo wasn’t a Jedi.”
Ezra Miller said his most memorable day on set was the first one when he saw 1920s New York come to life.
J.K. Rowling (with a very hoarse voice) praised Eddie Redmayne’s portrayal of Newt Scamander saying its as if Newt “walked out of her head.”
J.K. Rowling said the future films for Fantastic Beasts are “not mapped out to the point where all the screenplays are written – but I do know where the endpoint is.”
Katherine Waterston said Tina is “a wonderful oddball, which is hard until you find other oddballs – which she does.”
Katherine also said if she had a magical case like Newt’s she’d “put a really good lock on it. And I’d put my family in there on a tropical island.”
Carmen Ejogo described the MACUSA set as “epic and detailed.”
J.K. Rowling on writing the Fantastic Beasts script: “The biggest challenge was everything – because I didn’t really mean to do it.” She only meant to send a few notes about Newt to Warner Bros and it turned into a story.
J.K. Rowling explained why fans love the story so much: “It’s the perennial appeal of magic and the idea of hiding in plain sight – that there is a world within a world.”
What’s your favorite fantastic beast? Eddie and Katherine – bowtruckle, Dan and Alison – niffler
J.K. Rowling thanked Kevin Sujihara [Warner Bros CEO] “without whom this movie would not have happened” and “Steve Kloves who wrote seven of the eight Potter movies.”
I've just finished watching it... it was absolutely amazing and emotional!!!
The same world, the same square, 5 years later... it fills my heart to see nothing's changed (as David Yates said)!
Jo was about to cry, I'm so happy for her!
I'm sure we'll all have fun!
