J.K. Rowling donates signed Deathly Hallows deluxe edition to charity
 

Author J.K. Rowling donated a signed copy of the deluxe U.S. edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to the Little Auction that Could, the proceeds from which will benefit a shelter for abused and neglected children set up by the organisation's head, Karla Preissman.

We have received photos of the autographed book, which can be seen below.

Several of the books, including Jo's, will be auctioned through eBay from November 9-18 via bidders winning 'phone tickets' to bid during the Laughing Out Loud For Literacy show at the Elliott Museum in Stuart, Florida on November 20. One phone bidder for each of the top 12 books will be invited to participate in the live auction.

Awesome I love her! I need to purchase the deluxe edition! I already have two copies of the regular version, but I really want all the deluxe editions! :D

I got a signed deluxe edition on the first day DH came out. So ecstatic :D!

Anyways, good for Jo!!! That's why we love her!

I have two, and they're just the book but with different covers. When you take the cover off it's all black. When you open it up there's the US cover in it. Then there's chapter art in the back, as well as a picture of Jo's vision of how she sees Snape. :) I got them when they were on sale for around $13 last summer! :D

Extra art, depending on the book, plus a box case for it (with Jo's stamped signature on top). I have the HBP deluxe edition, which included the box, the jacket art (of Harry and Dumbledore in Bob Odgen's memory going to the Gaunt house), and a coloured photo of Bella and Narcissa walking toward Spinner's End in the beginning of the book, all done by Mary Grandpre. There are also larger versions of each chapter photo (this is the US edition), at the end of the book.

I think I want to just go to that auction xD It's on the other side of the state but whatever. Only a three hour drive if I speed!
