Imelda Staunton thought it was "fun torturing Harry Potter"
 

In a new interview, Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge) reveals that she enjoyed playing Umbridge, also admitting that her popularity has increased with her 12-year-old child since appearing in the new Harry Potter film.

lol!! Am so looking award to see her in the movie.

She is on the London origional cast recording of Into the Woods as the baker's wife... if you want to hear her sing.... as for the interview it is fun plawing villians... trust me... torturing harry great i can cringe in my seat close my eyes and plug my ears... thank you for warning me.

i've read the book a million times and it never occoured to me that she would torture Harry

She is so UMBRIDGEish in the movie "FREEDOM WRITERS" with Hilary Swank. She was brilliant in that movie.

I wish she could really do the part well!!!

Hopefully this will work well in the movie. However, she doesn't look like how I imagined Umbridge.

That was one of my favorite parts in the book. (my gosh is there something wrong with me?)

I love Imelda!! She's such a gifted actress... Can't wait to get to watch her as Umbridge... even if she does tortures Harry :P

I agree, I thought she'd be more gaunt and scarier looking, but I think it will work in the movie because like Staunton said, she looks what she isn't and that will help with the 'predictability' element.

I've pre-booked my cinema tickets, so I'm really looking forward to watching this movie.

I saw her on the movieFreedom Writersthe other day and she a total witch (keeping it G here people!) there to...ugh I just wanted to strangle her when I saw that movie!!

Even if she is probably my most hated character, yea...she does sound fun.
