HBP: NOT the Final Product
 

The Leaky Cauldron have exclusively revealed that the picture of a copy of 'Half-Blood Prince' which we saw yesterday, was in fact fake.
Sources say the book has not yet been printed therefore it is impossible for that image to have been photographed.

Oh well I suspected it would be real. Too early for the books to be out.

I wished it were real, it would be weird to see it now....well not really, am i making any sense.?

*sigh* I do wish people wouldn't try to fake us out like this.

Well the edge of the book near the spine seemed a bit too shiny to be real. Nevertheless, I think the image is pretty close to how the real thing will look.

Ugh! shame, but it' only a few more days...

I dont think they ment to do that i think they are trying to advertise the book all book shops are doign there own things, ithink the last thing they would want to do would be to upset fans..

although it is free publicity

I had a feeling it wasn't the 'real deal', but it was very nice to get an approximation of what we will have in our hands come July... I don't think it was meant as deception either, just an advertisement.

I had a feeling. I just couldn't imagine them publishing it when the final edits were just done because they'd have to go back and re-publish everything. lol Although I'm sure it's going to be quite similar... I figure that the size of HBP would be around the size of putting SS and CoS together.

I can't wait to goo to the midnight release at Barnes and Noble! I've gone there for the release of Goblet and Order... Tee hee. I'm not obsessed. NO! Not in any way at all. I only have it covering ALL of my bedroom walls. Hmmm.... The cieling... I havn't covered that yet...

wow.. i never would've guessed that it was a fake! the image of the book looked so real.. i think the book will actually look like that though.. or just really similar.

yeah, just a marketing tactic to reach buyers.

It was probably just some made up book cover covering another book probably OotP or something. Though the picture looks a little CG(computer generated) who knows.
