great news that students are reading something other than assigned books. Although the real impact of HP is how the series has introduced a new generation (young & old) to reading books of all kinds!

Obi-Wan K'Lari 05-06-2008 08:15 PM

BreBear 05-06-2008 09:05 PM

Heeeey now. Girls love Harry Potter just as much :P Well, I do anyways.

Pottermaniac 05-06-2008 09:40 PM

That's a surprise to me. The girls vs. boys thing. Because if you take a look at the amount of girls and boys here on SS. According to my experience, there are way more girls in love with Harry Potter than boys. I guess they haven't spoken to my brother. :poke:s him.

Hermione-is-the-best 05-06-2008 10:00 PM

I think the girls should've spoken up, but hey, it was there!!! That's very interesting...

Crazyness, I would have thought that more of the females would like HP rather than boys, but goes to show, you never really know!!!!!

RemusBlack 05-07-2008 05:18 PM

I didn't expect boys prefer th series, I must say.

Mrs_Molly_Weasley 05-08-2008 07:58 PM

Sorry? I am a little confused

Liisa 05-09-2008 07:04 PM

Well, of course they're reading HP. You should see all of the copies checked out at the school libraries. And Deathly Hallows has been out for almost a year.

Maxilocks 05-10-2008 05:46 PM

Moe boys? Interesting... If you look at SS, you wouldn't quite feel that way, you know!

laura-tonks 05-10-2008 06:09 PM

i've always thought the series more popular with girls (in england anyway)...that's interesting...

TheGreatWiz 05-14-2008 08:46 PM

Wow. That is really awesome. To be honest I never thought boys would read Harry potter. I thought it was more of girls reading it, lol. But that is awesome that more boys are reading the books. :woot:
