Gary Oldman has had a "good life"

In a new interview with Empire magazine, Gary Oldman talks about his life and losing his father.

Gary, who plays Sirius Black in the Harry Potter movies, says they've made him quite popular with the younger generation, including his kids.

Quote:

“They love me being in the Harry Potter films,” says Gary. “I’m now part of a phenomenon and you become incredibly cool to your kids. You get a young fan base, so you become the cool dad at school. You’re suddenly hip.”

Also, Gary's dad, who left his family when he was seven, talks about losing his dad twenty-three years ago.

“I’ve had a good life,” he says. “And my dad would have liked to share it, to travel, come on set, and be abroad. I’d have liked him to share some of that – come to New York on Concorde. He’d have got a kick out of all that.”

Oh yes...he's just an amazing person. I've also heard that he doesn't go to parties like other actors; he always stays home and eat dinner with his kids. Every day. That's what a real father would do.
