The first international box office numbers are in for the first
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, where it already made a reported $6.9 million on Wednesday in countries like France, South Korea, Indonesia and Sweden.

• France debuted to $1.8M with 209K admissions on 805 screens
• Indonesia had a $480K start on 690 screens
• South Korea opened to $1.7M on roughly 1,090 screens
• Sweden lift-off was worth $446K from 300 screens
This Thursday will see one of the biggest openings for the film around the world, hitting around 40 countries including the United States (evening screenings), Germany, Italy, Russia, Brazil and Australia.
Harry Potter fans will see the film open in UK, Spain and Mexico on Friday; and the two big Asian markets - China and Japan - will have
Fantastic Beasts open next week.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is projected to make around $80M in the U.S. and Canada domestically, and up to $200M internationally this opening weekend.
