Exclusive video: Matthew Lewis confirms Deathly Hallows II reshoots in December
SnitchSeeker's EmmaRiddle and correspondent Lauren got the chance to chat with Matthew Lewis, and an assortment of actors and celebrities, at this Sunday's EA BAFTA Children's Awards, where Matt gave out the Young Game Designers Award. Matt revealed that he will be reshoot a scene for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II in a couple of weeks, though at the moment is not aware as to which one it is. He stated that he received a phone call this past Friday from the production team telling him to head back to the studios to shoot said scene, which will apparently require him to have longer hair than he currently sports.
Matt, who admitted was quite critical of his portrayal on screen, said that he'd like the chance to reshoot all of his scenes in the Harry Potter film series if given the chance. He also explained what being the media ambassador of the BAFTA Young Game Designers Award entails. In terms of other projects, Matt revealed that he will be starring in a production of Agatha Christie's Verdict, which he will begin work on in a couple of weeks, after Deathly Hallows reshoots. He also noted that the Northern England premiere of his film, The Sweet Shop, will take place at the Halifax Film Society on Sunday, December 5, 2010. SnitchSeeker also spoke to young actress Chloe Moretz of Let Me In fame, who listed some of the current projects she is working on. When asked who she'd like to portray if cast in the Harry Potter films, Chloe said she'd love to be Hermione Granger. Georgie Henley, who is currently promoting the third installment of The Chronicles of Narnia series, admitted she saw quite a bit of herself in Luna Lovegood, and would prefer to play the eccentric Ravenclaw.
Asa Butterfield, of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (produced by David Heyman; starring David Thewlis) and Nanny McPhee Returns (starring Emma Thompson, Maggie Smith, Rhys Ifans, and Ralph Fiennes) said he'd like to play Severus Snape, if approached to take a part in the Harry Potter series. Karen David of BBC's Waterloo Road and Matt Baker of Strictly Come Dancing voiced their interest in the film series as well, and discussed upcoming projects on the line.

It is interesting to hear him be critical of his own work in the movies over the years. I would imagine that it is probably pretty common for movie actors to look back on their scenes and to wish that they had done things differently. Particularly if they were scenes that were shot when the actor was a young kid.
I saw some rumor on the web that said WB's was upset at Emma because she cut her hair and i guess they had some scenes they needed to redo. But it was just that one so is there any truth to that?
Wow, Matt's going back too. I thought they were originally just reshooting the Epilogue. Obviously they are doing more if Matt's going back too. Interesting!
I find it very interesting when an actor or actress is critical of their work, and is willing to do things in order to 'grow' as an actor/actress. It makes me feel as if they truly care about the character they portray. If Matt is going to re-shoot a scene then it might be more interesting now, than it was before? ^^ I wish him lots of luck.
