Even with a month until the film's release, Eddie Redmayne
allegedly confessed that a scene he shot for
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was already cut from the final movie, out November 18th around the world.
The actor stated he shot a scene where Newt Scamander had to remove his shirt, which would have revealed scars and bite marks as a result of his worldwide magical creatures expedition. Though, according to Redmayne who has seen the movie with the rest of the cast, that scene never made it to the end (but could show up in the Blu-ray extra deleted scenes).
Quote:
Eddie Redmayne: “I had to flipping work out for seven months because there was a scene – which is tragically no longer in the film – in which Jo was like, ‘I want you take off his top and see that he has been bitten and has all these war wounds and, even though he looks like this, is actually ripped.
“I got to that scene and thought, ‘Oh great.’
“So I did months and months of training and now it’s cut from the film, which is probably a better thing for the world.”
The official
Fantastic Beasts Twitter page also announced that the European premiere for the movie will take place on November 15, 2016 in London. The full cast and crew, and author J.K. Rowling, are expected to attend. The world premiere will take place at New York City's Lincoln Center on November 10, 2016.
