Deathly Hallows supermarket rules violated in Czech
We previously told you that a special agreement had been reached in Czech, meaning that Deathly Hallows, for a period, would only be available in bookstores. Tesco, a major supermarket chain, have apparently broken their word.
They are also being accused, by publisher Albatross, of selling boot-leg copies. A complaint has been filed to the police and it has been requested that Tesco take the novel off their shelves. If Tesco do not respond, an injunction will be delivered. Quote:
"Albatross didn't conclude any agreements on delivery of the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ with the Tesco administrator and therefore did not deliver any books to them,“ said Michal Krejcí, Albatross general director. “No existing agreements with our other partners make this possible.”

Tesco can prove the copies are bonafide, according to chain spokeswoman Hana Matoušková. She declined to say where the books came from. "I can only say that the source of the books has the license to sell original copies of Harry Potter," she said.
