Daniel Radcliffe criticizes Newt's 'Fantastic Beasts' wand, Eddie Redmayne reacts
In an attempt to tie two eras of J.K. Rowling's Wizarding world with Harry Potter to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Eddie Redmayne was interviewed recently, where he was told that Daniel Radcliffe had some not-so-nice things to say about Newt Scamander's wand, especially compared to Harry's in the film series.

I have to bring out the wand now. This is the Newt Scamander wand. But I will tell you, we gave to Daniel Radcliffe recently.
Katherine Waterston: [gasps] Eddie Redmayne: Right...
He didn't like the wand...
Eddie Redmayne: NOOOO!!
How did this compare to your wand?
Daniel Radcliffe: Ha, what a question! This seems a little bit smoother. I don't know what I feel about this silver bit at the end.
Katherine: Obviously he's jealous! Eddie: No, that's heartbreaking! Dan, I'm literally heartbroken! Well, yeah, he did have a great wand. I kind of love my wand for my own specific reasons. It's made of shell, and Mother of Pearl.
He didn't know what the metal, shiny bit was -
Eddie: Did he think it was a bit ostentatious?
Dan: Yeah, I prefer mine. Mine was sort of more rough-hewn from a tree. What is it, Ikea?!
Eddie: All right, Dan, it's Mother of Pearl. It's nothing too sparkly. We're not getting all bling. It's made of wood, it's got a few marks on it, from use and the wild.

Eddie Redmayne not only held that wand, but he also put it in his mouth. Suddenly that mass produced wand is priceless
also i'm at the friendly rivalry they did with the editing here. but i bet once Dan gets wind of this he'll gonna apologize profusely and praise the Newt wand to the high heavens
also tbh Newt's wand reminds me of Hermione's and Sirius' wands, they have the same silhouette.
