Actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have made Empire magazine's 20 Stars Who Weren't Even Born When Empire Started list. Dan came in at number one; Rupert at number ten; and Emma at nineteen.
As to why the trio were chosen, Empire said: Quote: 1. Daniel Radcliffe
You know him from: A little series called Harry Potter; December Boys.
Why's he good? Because he brought one of the world's most popular characters to life over five movies (to date) and has largely been acclaimed for his efforts.
Will he have an adult career? Well, if he doesn't he'll still never have to worry about money, which is something, but the endlessly curious Radcliffe has barely gotten started on an adult career. His decisions outside of Potter - TV drama like My Boy Jack, his stage turn in Equus - suggest that he's not one to be typecast, and will be pushing boundaries for some time to come.

You know him from: Driving Lessons. And there was that little role in Harry Potter.
Why's he good? He's supported Daniel Radcliffe's Harry Potter through thick and thin, and has a likable everyman quality which should allow him to avoid typecasting.
Will he have an adult career? Well, so far out of the HP triumvirate Grint has the most solo-projects under his belt. That said, he is ginger, and anti-redhead sentiment remains the last socially acceptable prejudice, so he'll have to keep working at it.

Why's she good? Having grown up on the big screen as struggling muggle-born Hermione Granger, Watson has shouldered immense pressure to come out smelling of roses. Now she has started to make a niche for herself outside of the franchise with a leaning towards costume dramas and a rumoured leading role in Napoleon and Betsy.
Will she have an adult career? Will she want one? Judging by her sickeningly good exam results and place at Cambridge, she may crave something a bit more challenging.

Yea, I think Dan is okay with the type cast thing, since he is also involved in major productions. Sure, he will always be known as Harry Potter, but I believe he is in safe water.
Not sure about Rupert Grint, I think he is in the most danger with the type casting just because he hasn't been in a lot of other things.
Emma Watson (from reading interviews and such) shows more interest in school and maybe doing something else besides acting. She might even do both (wish I hope!) I believe she is safe though too.
Of course, everyone will remember them from Harry Potter, but if they put themselves in other major movies or productions, I believe they can convince us otherwise  | |

Since they started the Potter movies, Rupert's done the most features outside of the series (at four), while Dan's done three (unless you count his Extras cameo), and Emma two. Plus, given what Rupert's filmed, type-casting won't be a huge issue.

I think that whatever these three, and any of the other young stars associated with Potter, decide to do.... they will do great. I think Potter has taught MOST of them a great work ethic and given them dedication most people there age still thrive to discover. I think they are all talented and intelligent and wish them all the best of luck Post-Potter(it hurts to say Post-Potter..... I DON'T WANT IT TO END!!!).

I never knew about redhead prejudice until I became a huge fan of Rupert. It's really weird. I don't really get normal prejudice either so go figure. I think Rupert is talented enough to overcome this prejudice.

I think so. There's no need to say that he's "in danger". I didn't mean that he didn't have the talent, because he certainly does! I was referring more to how movies have a "red head stereotype". Also, he hasn't done anything BOLD I suppose, like Daniel getting naked on stage.
Emma has the advantage because she is an attractive young woman, so she is already a targeted actress.
But yea, I love Rupert, and I hope he escapes the Typecasting alive! | |

well...congrats all three of you...i am sure you three will make it to any success list that any media will come up with...all i want to say is best of luck for your career after Potter. no matter what you guys do whether continue acting or go on a academic way i believe you three will make it to the top...we all are truly happy for you...
