Dan Radcliffe explains challenges with two Deathly Hallows films In a recent interview with TV Guide, where he was promoting the US television debut of My Boy Jack for Masterpiece Classic, Daniel Radcliffe commented on the decision to make Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows two movies, which he called a "positive thing." Dan also talks about the challenges to film the two-part end to the series: Quote:

That is true .. I actually hadn't thought of that before. I can't think of a logical half-way point in the book, so that might be difficult. I suppose anything that is something of a "cliff-hanger" will work, though! :) |
Either when Ron leaves or when they are just about to go into Malfoy Manor before they get captured. Both are high points to leave as a cliffhanger. I would prefer Malfoy Manor. |
Dan has a good point. But I would have to agree with Antwone. |
I think that when Ron leaves would be a great breaking point. Although Malfoy manner would be good too. I'm so pumped that they're going to make into two films tho! :woot: |
I think the breaking point will be when Harry & Hermione go to Godric's Hollow.. |
Either way, it's gonna be wicked wherever they eventually decide to put the breaker,I can't wait!!!!! |
Yeah, I'm thinking of the possible part where the movie breaks off too... Maybe right after Ron leaves? |
So True... |
Malfoy Manor would be a good place to break it. Nice cliffhanger. |
In my opinion, the best (if not the only) breaking point would be Ron's return and subsequent destruction of the locket. There isn't a better part to do it, either before or after this. |
Wow, Dan's done with HBP filming already? I'm happy they're making DH into two movies. I heard a few people comment that a good place to break it is when they're escaping on the dragon. Not for sure what I think yet; I'll think about it as I reread. |
I think the BEST place to make the split is when Harry buries Dobby. I feel like it's a suitable ending. After the buriel it gets more exciting and crazy so I feel like that should be left for the second movie. |
I agree with CatDGame, that part makes us think a lot about what might happen in the second movie....snif snif.. |
Yeah I was thinking about that one. I really cant think of any place where they can stop the first part:no: |
Wow.....I can't imagine where they could stop the first part of DH. I'll just have to read it a couple more times. |
That is true indeed. Now with two slip movies they can show us more then just having a crammed up one movie with many skipped important things that was in the book. |
Its good that we won't get to miss out on anything but i hate it that the second part won't come out until a year after the first part does. we gotta wait 1 YEAR!!!!!!!!!! |
Dan has a good point |
thats cool |
he's got a big pt..haf 2 b v careful whr they split it..need a real good ending 2 pt 1 and then a real good start to pt 2. i wonder how long each film. |
yeah , he's right ~ it's hard to stop the film at one point ! wish them luck , |
Well said. And the last book should be adapted completely to help the viewers that are not fond of reading understand the last installment..... |
I agree. I think a nice breaking point would be when Ron leaves... |
I think a good breaking point would be when harry falls into the lake and then is saved, but don't "tell"us who saved him, that can start the second one!! Even if you have read the book, it will leave everyone in suspense, but it is not totally in the air! |
