| | | Cleese Prefers Bond To Harry Potter - Cleese Prefers Bond To Harry Potter Summary:
Nearly Headless Nick Prefers Bond To Harry Potter Article: Quote: JOHN CLEESE prefers his role as Q in the JAMES BOND franchise to his work as NEARLY HEADLESS NICK in the HARRY POTTER movies - as he enjoys having a greater input in the script.
The 64-year-old actor prefers working on movies like THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH to HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN as he is given free rein to add more humour to the dialogue.
Cleese explains, "Bond is brilliant as you are allowed to have a say in the script, but with Harry Potter everything is in the hands of the special-effects team.
"No one knows what's going on except them - not even the director because he doesn't know if the take works." Note Mr Cleese is NOT in POA. www.hpana.com |

Honey, I've seen both James Bond and Harry Potter and John Cleese has only played Q once in Die another Day and played Q's assitaint in the World is not Enough. in the World not enough he only appered once so I don't know why he is whining but he should have some more dialouge in Harry Potter :sorcerer:

first off John Cleese is simply stateing a fact.
He is a legend a comic genius!
He is much bigger that Bond and Potter.
If any of you had seen any of his monty phython stuff you woud know what I mean
he's not winning about the lines he gets. he's a writer as well as a actor/comic he want to make it better he want to write and he should he's writen the funniest stuff I've seen in my life!

Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.

I hate him in Bond.
He is not at all funny.
In fact I hate the recent Brosnan Bond films with a passion, except for 'GoldenEye'

Well, I think he is right. I don't believe he has a lot of interactions with other actors in H.P.
But I should agree with LemonDrizzle. The most recent Bond movies are awful.
