Bonnie Wright donated a pair of her shoes for the
Small Steps Project, where proceeds from the auction go to benefit children and their families on rubbish dumps around the UK. The
Harry Potter actress attended the charity auction in London this past weekend; photos of Bonnie with her mother and Amy Hanson can be seen here.
Bonnie was one of dozens of actors, including
Harry Potter alum Helena Bonham Carter, who donated their shoes to the organisation this past year.
Bonnie recently
chatted about her new character in the upcoming children's feature,
Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg?, which is being filmed in the UK.
On her role as the somewhat-villainous camp manager Susan:
Quote:
“As an actor it’s been exciting to play a character like Diane who has an evil edge to her and has been different for me,” Bonnie added.
“It’s great for any director to show an actress in a new way and that is something Tim and Danny have achieved with my role in Nelson Nutmeg.”
“It’s brilliant having a set like this is in a great location right on the edge of the Dorset coastline with beautiful cliffs and scenery – the film is bound to look much more interesting and off the wall,” she said.
On being her experience of a child actor from the
Harry Potter series, and instilling knowledge to her new young costars:
Quote:
“We didn’t know how big or crazy the platform for Harry Potter would become; it was a safe environment with lots of people similar to the Nelson Nutmeg set,” she added.
“Because we were all children we learnt together and the same thing is happening with the young cast of Nelson Nutmeg. The kids have been so great and worked so hard; it’s been great to work with them.”
Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? currently has no set release date.
