Hey! It's everybody's favorite annoying person who has too many fics (except for Tara! Love ya!) That's right, it's Katie! Got a new idea for a Dr/Hr fic! Wait till you hear how this one came about!

I was posting on my fic, when Bells posted an idea for a new pic, and I thought that was a great idea, so we PMed back and forth for awhile, and now I think we have something worthy to be called a fic! Hope you like it!

The basic gist of the story is: Harry and Hermione have been dating since Harry and Ginny broke up. Ginny has fought tooth and nail to stay at Hogwarts, but with the death of Dumbledore, and since Hermione doesn't like him that way, Ron has allowed himself to be pulled out of Hogwarts. Ginny is still wanting Harry for herself.

But that's not the whole story.....

See, Harry is taking more special classes, but this time with all the teachers, so he can up his skills in order to defeat Voldemort. But by an act that no one was prepared for, Hermione suffers a blow to the head, and has amnesia. Because Harry doesn't have time to look after her, Professor Slughorn offers the help of his favorite student, a familiar face....Draco Malfoy!

But wait, it get's better...

Since Hermione has no idea who Draco truely is, they fall in love, and Hermione must choose between old love and new love! WHOO HOO!

Harry was glad for one more year at Hogwarts. Without Dumbledore there though, it was going to be different, and probably difficult. But now that he had Hermione at his side, Harry felt a sort of calm. Because now he had someone to relieve all his worries too, and he knew that Hermione would listen.

The fact that Ron had been taken out of school depressed him to no end. Ron was his best friend. But for their own reasons, the Weasley's hadn't wanted him in school if Dumbledore wasn't there. They had wanted to take Harry out as well, but Professor McGonagall would not allow it. So all Harry had left was Hermione...

Harry boarded the train to Hogwarts alone. He didn't know where Hermione was; she hadn't sent him an owl yet. Which was odd for Hermione, but maybe she had slept late, or something. Either way, he saved her a seat next to him in their compartment. Ginny, who'd ranted and had multiple tantrums throughout the whole summer just so she could go back to school, had walked into the compartment followed by Luna and Neville.

"Uh, Harry? Can we come in here? Everywhere else is full..." Ginny asked nervously. She and Harry had been rather cold since their breakup.

"Sure." Harry said, a little abrupt. Neville nervously put his suitcase up on the rack, noticing the tension. Luna, as usual, noticed nothing, and pulled out the latest edition to The Quibbler.

"What's new this month, Love?" Neville asked Luna, putting his arm around her shoulders.

"Nothing Neville. Only that The Ministry is now using Straight Gibbed Johnpers in our owl post, to control us." She gave him a Look. "Please don't tell me you didn't know that."

"Of course not..." Neville looked at Harry. Harry hid a giggle. Just then Hermione burst into the compartment, looking exhausted.

"Hi Ginny, Neville, Luna. Harry." She gave Harry a kiss, and Harry moved over for her. She flopped down on the seat and leaned in Harry's lap. "Slept late, and mum couldn't find her cell phone, and insisted that I take mine. Even though I told her that it doesn't work on Hogwarts Grounds."

"That's ok Hermione," Luna said dreamily, "Cell phones are the Ministry's weapon to control the Muggle world."

"Oh really?" Hermione asked, and put her hand on Harry's knee. Ginny turned a deep red, her ears turning pink, the universal Weasley sign of embarrassment and rage.

"Yes. They're not satisfied with the Wizarding World." She did not elaborate, but continued to read. Neville rolled his eyes, and then kissed the top of her head.
Ginny looked away from Harry and Hermione.

The talk after the train had left was light and somewhat dampened with Ginny's mood. It lasted the whole ride, and even the weather was moping, for it had started to rain. Hermione was now wearing Harry's jacket, and that made Ginny all the more frustrated.

Finally, the train arrived at Hogwarts. Harry helped Hermione up, and proceeded to get Ginny's suitcase down.

"I can do it myself!" Ginny snarled, and grabbed it, knocking down Neville's suitcase, and narrowly missing Hermione. "Oops, sorry Neville." She flounced away, as much as her suitcase would allow her. Harry looked at Neville.

"What's eating her?"

"Dunno. You got everything, Luna?"

"Yes Neville. Are you two joining us in our carriage?" Luna asked Hermione.

"Sure." Hermione answered for both of them, and together they walked to the carriages.

Ginny stormed through the castle, trying to mask her anger, and not succeeding. Just seeing Harry with Hermione was enough to make her blood boil. How he could still want to make conversation with her was...irritating.

"Anyway, she can't possibly love him more than I do...no-"

"Uh..Ginny?" Ginny yelped, and faced...Harry?!?!

"What do you want?" Ginny tried to cover her anger with calm assurance.

"Well, you don't usually talk to yourself unless your upset. Now, what's wrong?"

"Nothing that you don't know. How dare you." Ginny tried to walk away, but Harry caught her arm.

"C'mon Gin, tell me."

"Harry, I just can't believe you. You break up with me, go out with my best friend, and have the audacity to ask me why I'm upset. You're crazy. Out of your mind!"

Ginny broke free of Harry's grasp and ran.

"GINNY! PLEASE!" Harry called after her, but she ignored him. She ran out into the courtyard and sat down on a stone bench. The tears came hot and fast. She sniffed, and stopped.

"That sounds like...." Ginny looked around the corner and saw...Hermione and...Malfoy??

"What do you mean, WHAT'S MY PROBLEM? What's yours? Coming down here, insulting me, and wondering what my problem is!" Ginny jumped at the sound of Hermione's voice.

"Oh so he doesn't have time for you." Ginny heard Malfoy reply smoothly.

So Hermione was talking to Draco Malfoy...Ginny couldn't believe her. Why, of all people, would-

"...You know Granger you look pretty good considering your a mudblood."

Ginny ralphed. Now that Malfoy thought Hermione Granger was good looking, she didn't know what to believe anymore. Suddenly, Hermione came past, and Ginny barely had time to hide. When she had gone, Ginny went to leave. She bumped into Malfoy.

"Now I'm gonna have to wash...again. What's your problem?"

"What were you two talking about?" Ginny demanded.

"Why you're so wierd and unnecessary." Malfoy pushed past her, and continued walking.

Ginny shook her head, and stuck her toungue out at his retreating back.

Hermione was still in shock when Ginny came running up to her.

"Were you just talking to Malfoy?" Ginny asked as though she hadn't been eaves dropping. She fell into step beside Hermione.

"No-well...yes, err...kinda. Have you seen Harry?"

"Yes just now he was that way," Ginny pointed in the direction where she had left him, "so about Mal-"

"Great I should go catch up with Harry." Hermione said cutting her off, "Thanks Gin, talk to you later!" and with that she hurried off.

"She's hiding something and I'm going to find out what." Ginny muttered to herself and walked off with a devilish smile.

Hermione was still trembling when she reached Harry. She had a million questions swirling in her head. Why was Malfoy so civil to her? Will he keep it up or was it a one-time thing? Did he mean it when he said she was pretty? Now that she thought about it she did find Draco quite attractive.

"All you alright love?" Harry asked. She didn't look too good.

Hermione jumped. She forgot he was there, "Yes I'm fine."

It was then she started wondering what Harry would think of all this, "Umm Harry," he looked at her expectantly but she changed her mind, "we best be off to class."

"Yeah," Harry replied, "I can't believe we have Potions with Slytherins all morning!"

"W-what?" Hermione stopped dead in her tracks. "What did you just say?"

"We...have...Potions...with...the...Slyth-" Harry spoke slowly. Hermione cut hi off with a sigh.

"Arrggh! I know! I was just...it didn't register. Are you sure?"

"Positive. Are you sure you're ok? You look....pale."

"Fine, fine. But I'm not going."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Harry had to drag Hermione to Potions. She kept insisting that she was ill, on the verge of death. But Harry just shook her head and attributed it to nerves. Hermione sat grumpily next to him, her cauldren empty. The rest of the class filed in, laughing and chatting among themselves.

"Good morning students!" Professor Slughorn came bustling in, holding a sheaf of papers. "As a morning excersize, I want you all to whip me up a Sleeping Draft. Not too difficult for a morning warm up, eh?"

The students got to work, heads bowed over their books, mixing ingrediants and stirring. Hermione's focus wasn't on her potion. It was on a certain blonde who had chosen to sit right...behind....her.

"Hermione! Use these roots, you've....erm...well..." Harry couldn't bear to point it out, and Hermione gasp. For the past ten minutes, she was cutting nothing! And their time was almost up! Harry quickly switched roots with her, and began to chop hastily.

Hermione barely finished her potion in time, but at least it looked like it was supposed to. But she could still hear Malfoy's soft laughter. Then she realized that Malfoy was laughing. At her!

"And what, pray tell, is your problem?" Hermione hissed at him while Slughorn was grading their potions.

"OH...nothing. Only-"

"Back off Malfoy." Harry cut him off. "Leave her alone, she's having a rough morning. Turn around 'Mione." Hermione turned around, Harry's arm around her shoulder. Malfoy sniggered again, then fell silent as Slughorn came their way.

"Ugg...that was brutal...." Seamus sighed heavily as the class left. Harry fell into step beside him, Hermione's hand in his.

"You're telling me. Gosh, my arm hurts from all that stirring. I didn't even know what I was making...." Harry groaned. "What about you love?"

"Huh?" Hermione stuttered. She had been watching Malfoy again. He was leaving the room, and she couldn't help but notice his muscular arms, or his tight legs....or-

"Earth to Hermione!" Seamus whispered loudly in her ear. "Harry, I think she should take it easy. Seventh year is a killer, and she doesn't look too good."

"He's right. Wanna go back to the Common Room?" Harry asked Hermione, concerned.

"Yea...that'd be good." Hermione agreed softly.

Hermione finally noticed Draco's shmexiness!
I've been around that 7th grade punk/emo girl too much... (I never say 'shmexiness'... she does and I was around her all yesterday).
Anyways, YAY! Hermione took notice of him

Can't wait to see what happens when Harry figures it out!

The days passed. Hermione got back into the swing of school, and the happiness of being able to see your boyfriend every day and all the time. The happier Harry and Hermione got, the more unhappy Ginny became. She was determined to fix that.

Ginny paced back and forth in one of the hallways.

I need to make sure Hermione forgot Harry...I need to make sure Hermione forgot Harry...I need to make sure Hermione forgot Harry...

Suddenly a door appeared. Ginny smiled and entered the Room of Requirement.

Once again, the room was able to make Ginny's worst dreams of revenge come true. She sighed, and began to search the room. She stopped at a bookcase.

"Hmm...How to get Your Man...looks good." Ginny picked the book off the shelf and began to read.

Harry and Hermione were taking a stroll through the corridors on their break. They weren't saying anything, just basking in each other's company. The subject of Malfoy was brought up.

"Honestly, I can't believe he has the nerve to come back." Harry said, disbelievingly.

"I know. Especially after what he did to Dumbledore." Hermione agreed.

"I hope he leaves early. I hate him." Harry stopped and punched a wall. The wall squealed. "Sorry."

"Harry, please, don't take your anger out on the wall. It never did anything to you." Hermione pleaded.

"Maybe, but Malfoy did. He took my mentor. My Headmaster, my father-figure...ever since Sirius died...Dumbledore-" Harry broke down and wept. Hermione held him tightly.

Just then, Malfoy turned the corner.

"Well well...I was right, you two are going together." Malfoy sniggered. "Aw, how cute. The mudblood and the orphan."

"YOU!" Harry said, all tears forgotten, only blind rage was there now. "YOU'RE GONNA PAY!"

"For what?" Malfoy looked amused.

"FOR BEING A SLIMY GIT!" Harry yelled as he launched himself at Draco.

Draco dodged and took out his wand, Harry took out his. They stood facing each other, wands at the ready.

Ginny went to a small table in the corner and sat down with the book. She flipped through the pages until she came to the first chapter entitled, Step 1: Sizzle His Senses - Make Him want You more than his Girlfriend. Ginny smiled as hopeful thoughts filled her head. I can make him want me! He would forget about Hermione and would be mine! She began reading.
