My friends say that I'm a good poet. I only hope that I get the same response from here.

This was one of my first poems I ever wrote:


She didn’t think





A sad song.

A poem full of sorrow.

A beautiful hazel-eyed poetess

Saddened by the events in the world.



Everything is so complicated.

She just wants everything to end.

She can’t seem to find a way out.

Then it all becomes so easy.

Just to forget about everything.



She didn’t think first.

Just opened the case and took the blade.

She put the edge to her wrist.

Didn’t think about who would miss her.

Didn’t think that it would get better.



She had started to bleed.

Blood, red as roses, began to trickle down her hand.

She quickly dropped to her knees in mercy.

Mercy.

Mercy for her sins.

Mercy for her pain.



The funeral is here now.

Her mom and dad are crying.

She was their baby girl.

They didn’t understand,

Why a woman of thirteen would want to escape life.

They decided nothing is that terrible.
