Katrina walked into the conference room and peeked inside both ways before seeing the department head. Okay, so she wasn't late but there were only two people in there. She smoothed out her hair and her not-so-neat-work-outfit -anymore. She fiddled with her necklace nervously and then walked inside, her bag swinging on one arm, a smile on her face.

"Hello Mister Recard," Katrina said politely, as she took a seat at the table. So... this was her first meeting... nervous? Yup. She glanced around the place, giving a glance at the department head's scar before averting her gaze. Because, you know, it would be rude to stare, especially at those scars there. Eep. Katrina wondered how that got there. "And everyone else..." she added. Not her fault she didn't know anyone here.

Royce raced to the conference room when she got the memo. She really hoped she was on time. She was getting better, but she was still always late wherever she went. She slowed down and took a few breathes and pushed open the door to the conference room. Royce looked around and was pleased that she was one the first people there.

Brooke entered the conference room, her heels clicking as she walked towards an empty seat. There were only a few people. At least she knew she wasn't late for anything. As she took a seat she cleared her throat and smiled at the Department Head.
"Mister Recard." she made a slight gesture of her head still maintaining the smile. She then looked at the rest of her co-workers. "..And people..Hi." she managed to say. She wasn't used to these things yet, being new and all but she was bound to get a taste of it someday...

Jamie was positive he was late. Again. He really needed to buy a watch or something, because his timekeeping was actually awful. Pushing open the doors breathlessly, and stopping just inside them, and looked around.

Oh. He wasn't late.

Flushing slightly, Jamie spotted Katrina and walked swiftly over to take a seat next to her. "Mr Recard." He said quietly, nodding in his Department Head's direction, and then looked at his peers that were in the room. "Moorning." He said, smiling at them all. He smoothed down his Armani suit, and removed the sunglasses from his face, before flashing a quick grin at Katrina.

Armen turned back from Cris and their small intoduction when a .... experienced looking woman entered the Conference room. "Oh hello there, ma'am." he smiled smally, thinking that maybe she was lost, she looked more like a senior Ministry worker in a higher Department but she came on in and joined himself and the other Level 6 worker at the table.

"Oh if you work in Transportation, then you are in the right place." he grinned at the older woman, and then went back to his folders looking for the memo that told him about this new hire. He must have missed it. Oh well.
The next person to enter the Conference room was Katrina, he was very impressed with her work against the Figurines, especially her being so new to the Level and all. "Welcome Katrina, go ahead and take a seat, we will begin shortly, ok?" he nodded to her.
"Morning Royce, glad to see you can make it." Armen said as he had finished welcoming the few newer employees, glad to see at least one employee from a while ago was still here.
"Good Day Brooke!" Armen grinned nodding back to the woman as she took a seat. "We will begin shortly and get those pesky new employee introductions out of the way, ok?" the 32 year old chuckled as Brooke too, had entered the room really only knowing himself.
And just as Armen was getting pretty sure almost all of his employees were there, Jamie entered the room. He nodded happily at the guy as he greeted him and had joined to sit by Katrina. Out of all the people in the room, these two seemed like they new each other best, a possible romance? Armen thought to himself, not that it was important to him just wondering.

Standing up from his chair at the head of the large Mahogany Conference table, Armen rubbed his hands together and opened his mouth to talk looking out at the employees around him. "Ok well, seeing as alot of you are pretty new to the Level 6 team, I think it would be great to start out with introductions. Just stand up and tell us something about yourself and that way we get to know a little about you before we move on to the big task I have laid out for us to work on." Armen spoke about the task ahead of them carefully, trying to make sure he worded it correctly, wouldn't want to mess up on that.

"Is everyone ok with this? I thought it would be best seeing as alot of you were hired and had just came in when those bloody figurines were attacking the office." Armen had a clever thought just then, 'Blame it on the Figurines!!' "And for those of you who have noticed these unsightly scars on my face, were from those figurines, they seemed to have shown up later than I expected but alas they are here." he grimaced. Nope, not from a cruel man that had just visited him, and told him to hold this meeting. Nope.

"So to start out the introductions....My name is Armen Recard and I am the Department Head of Magical Transportation." he said placing a hand on his chest and then chuckling. "Now I didn't start off this high, I was in the same position as you all at one point. I was hired as a worker in the Apparation Testing Center and then eventually was promoted to Porkey Division Head, I then was fainally hired on as Department Head as my Predicesor retired. I attended Hogwarts and was in ravenclaw house." he finished and then sat down, opening his hands towards the rest of the room, inviting anyone who wanted to go next.

Jamie listened to Armen as he introduced himself, and as per usual the 'whatdoIsay' was chanting through his head. He hated these introduction things; they were always really awkward, but necessary, which sucked. When Mr Recard had finished, he looked over at Katrina, then stood up. Why not? May as well kick things off. "Hey, everyone. I'm Jamie Gerrard, in the Floo Network Division. I'm originally from Liverpool, as you can probably tell from my accent. I attended Hogwarts as well, but was in Gryffindor. I graduated.. 3 years ago now. This is my first job." He sat back down, grinning. That wasn't too difficult now, was it? Next please.

Pierre sat in a seat near the back of the conference room. He looked around at all of his fellow co-workers and couldn't believe how many there were.

He listened to Armen talk and nodded his head when necessary. He wasn't going to be the first person to introduce himself, so he waited for someone else to stand up. When a woman named Jamie did, he waited for her to finish before standing up himself. "Hello I'm Pierre Devereux. I'm in the Floo Network Division. I'm originally from France, the accent probably gives me away. I did transfer to Hogwarts and graduated from there 3 years ago as well." He sat back down and waited for the rest of the people to introduce themselves.

Cris grinned. "I came ready to work and ended up cleaning the work place. Seemed like a hurricane struck there." But he knew all the fuss caused by the little figurines. "Anyways, there we had time to introduce ourselves." He said, regarding what Armen had commented about waiting for the rest of the members to come in. "But I think, yes...that we need to make our backgrounds clear seeing as so many are new in this division." Cris mentioned, remembering some of the new guys coming in and asking where their desks could be at.

A few minutes later, the rest came in. Cris waved at them and grinned. There were lots of new people to meet. Sigh. Armen started the meeting, introducing himself, then a few others began their small introductions.

When he noticed not many had stood up, he kind of pushed himself and looked around. "My name is Cristobal Romero, I come from Italy. I used to work at a Muggle Newspaper, then I applied for this job, now working at the Broom Regulatory Control division. I'm happy to be here, no doubt about it. And I hope to stay here for a long...very long time, since I've been away from the Magical World for most of my adulthood." Yeah, ever since he turned 17, Muggle jobs were his priority, at times.

Iris raised her hand up slightly, as a small wave and put it back down on her knee where she continued to rub. "I guess I'm in the right place finally." She smiled. She opened her mouth again to say something but it looked like the man was about ready to start the meeting of sorts she had walked in on just in time. A meeting? Great. Let's see what this is about. She thought to herself as she pulled her desk chair up to the table closer. At least she was close to the man who seemed to be in charge.

Introductions? Are we all first years again? Iris rolled her eyes slightly and gave herself a mental kick in the knees. She was supposed to be paying attention, well, it was a good idea at least. Iris half listened to everyone introduce themselves, attempting to store their names away in her mind the best she could.

Finally, after all who wanted to speak for the moment was done speaking, Iris stood up slowly from her chair. "I made it right in time." She chuckled, "I went to the wrong floor a couple of times, took me a while to get here." She explained. "Enough about that..." she trailed.

"I'm Miss FitzGerald, I'm 72 years old...yes, 72." She told them all looking at each face quickly before moving on to the next. "I was sorted into Slytherin all those years ago, after I graduated I went to live in India. I've spent the last five years in Scotland. I have a pet turtle named Judith who's quite nice. She loves to eat this special type of salad you see, I forget what it's called. But she just loves it." Iris paused and thought quickly what else to say. "Do any of you know how to tell if a turtle is male or female?" Iris asked looking around the room, "I'm not sure..."

"Oh, and I have a bunch of snakes too." She added on. If two and a missing snake counted as a bunch.... "Next!" Iris exclaimed as she slowly sat back down in her seat. She looked up and down the table with wide eyes waiting for the next person to get up and introduce themselves.

Katrina smiled and blushed a bit when she saw Jamie and then turned when the department head started talking.

So as everyone stood and introduced themselves she figured she might as well do the same. Katrina listened, trying to catch everyone's names and then when they were done she stood.

"Erhm... so hi everyone, my name is Katrina Rayne, I'm in the Broom Regulatory division," she started, cringing inside at how... nervous she sounded, "I'm from New York City but I moved to England a while back, I went to Hogwarts as well, I was a Slytherin," Katrina continued, "I graduated from Hogwarts about two- no three years ago," Katrina finished and took a seat.

Everybody seemed to have taken turns already so it was time for Brooke to make a little introduction of herself.
She slowly stood and took a deep breath before starting, "Erm..Hey guys.. I'm Brooklyn Clark and I'm in the Floo Network Authority..," she started. "I was born in Bradford but I'm currently residing in London and I too studied in Hogwarts and graduated about seven years ago. I was in Slytherin and was the House Prefect and the Head Girl." she finished off with a smile and sat down. Doubt they be needing to know about her dog and love life..

Royce bobbed her head in acknowledgment of Armen's hello. She gave him a friendly sort of smile and quickly found a seat. She listened to her coworkers introducing themselves and she waited her turn. When it was her turn she stood and waved at everyone. "Well hello everyone. I'm Royce Norwood. And as you can tell from my accent I'm an American. My father plays football in the NFL and my mom is a Nobel Prize winner in medicine. I went to Salem School for Witches. I'm engaged to Prince Sébastien of Luxembourg. And I'm a broom regulator." She told them. She flashed them all one last smile and sat down.

The figurines gave Armen those marks? Well, Laura couldn't know for sure. She had only seen him briefly after the fight. She had slipped in quietly after the meeting had been called. She wondered for what obscure reason every Level Six employee was gathered here now.

"I'll go next, if no one minds. I'm Laura Miller, division head of Broomstick Regulatory and Control. I started out here at the Ministry as a Portkey employee, and eventually was promoted to the position I'm in now," Laura said. "But outside of work, I care for a koi pond recently put into my garden. Oh! Aaaand, I'm a Magpies fan." She pumped her fist in the air cheerfully.

Scarlett had slipped into the conference room just after the meeting had started. She had had to finish one last thing before joining her co-workers. The dark haired woman listened as employee after employee stood and introduced themsleves to the room at large.

Then Laura raised her voice and spoke which opted for Scarlett to go next. With a blink to her fellow division head she said "I'm Scarlett Sinclair, division head of the Apparition test center. I started at the ministry recently after being hired as division head. Before joining the ministry i worked several years in a magical transportation company who works directly with this department."

Scarlett paused and then continued "Outside of work i'm learning how too cook and I like reading romance novels." the last had just slipped out. It wasn't anything she had planned to say.

Armen was really pleased with the turn-out. He had sat down and crossed his fingers over the shiny tabletop as his listened intently to each of the introductions. How had he recieved such great employees all in the same Department. Those witches and wizards down in the Employment Office sure did him a favor. In the slight and awkward breaks between speaking Armen smiled and encouraged someone new to talk and while it was decided who would go next, he begn to worry about how they would take the meeting's subject matter.

After everyone was finished talking Armen grinned and then spoke. "Excellent! Now I don't feel like Im in a stuffy conference room with a bunch of strangers who keep calling me Mr. Recard." he chuckled and then raised his wand. He flicked it twice and a large tray of sandwiches and fruit appeared in the center of the long table and a small assortment of drinks popped up next to it. "Since this is our first kind of get-together I figured we would have a working lunch. Go ahead and help yourelves to some snacks as we get ready to begin." he said taking a few strawberries for himself.

After chewing a strawberry, the 32-year old Department Head stood up, stuck his hand in the pockets of his trousers for a nervous second, and then placed both hands on the table. The man's demeanor switched from happy and excited to a bit morose and slightly anxious. "Today....we will be discussing something we don't really talk about too often in this Department....Muggles." he paused thinking of where to go with this next. He was given explicit instructions by those 'in charge' of the bloody group he was dragged into and he couldn't afford to get anything wrong, literally. "Does anyone have any ideas as to why Muggles are related to the field of Transportation?" he asked looking up and into the eyes of his employees.

Jayden tilted his head to the side. Muggles? He did enjoy good muggle transportation (like his precious beloved car)... but surely that didn't have any mention here at work. "Do you mean... along the lines that we don't want any muggles to see any of our transportation?" he asked. He didn't see any other connection other than keeping the Statute of Secrecy... but they were doing a good job of that, right?

He then helped himself to a few snacks while awaiting a response.

Mmm. Don't mind if I do...

Laura picked up a few grapes and popped them into her mouth. Sweet and a little bit tart was the perfect way to go. She finished off a couple more and looked over at Armen.

"Muggles? Well, their transportation is much different than ours, isn't it?" she said. "We wouldn't want them to notice our forms of transportation. Especially when so many magical people use them on a daily basis."

Pierre listened to all of the introductions of his fellow co-workers. There were definitely a couple of people that he didn't recognize. He guessed it was a good thing they had this introduction thing. Maybe he would actually get to know a few of his co-workers now.

Armen then offered up food. Of course Pierre wasn't going to turn down food. Food was great. He grabbed a sandwich and a glass of pumpkin juice and started to eat. The sandwich was actually one of the best he'd ever had, for a sandwich that is.

As he took a swig of pumpkin juice, he thought about Armen's question. Two people had already said the obvious answers. He really didn't no what else to add. He didn't want to repeat answers, that would be completely uneccessary.

Scarlett wondered if Armen had heard her stomach grumbling when he announced that it was going to be a working lunch. Taking a sandwich and a pouring herself some cold pumpkin juice into a glass. Munching away at the sandwich Scarlett pondered Armens question about muggles. Stopping she said trying out a trail of thought. "The muggles use transportation like trains, busses, cars and planes. Don't we have to know how muggles means of transportation works to be able to hide our own?" She had no idea if that was what Armen was after but she threw it into the discussion anyway.

Armen was really glad that all of the employees were eating his food and seemed to be generally enjoying themselves. Points to him for hosting a cool working-lunch meeting with awesome food! He would be even more excited if that counted on his side in Gevrik's eyes. Thinking of that creep of a man, Armen's scars tingled and he turned his attention to the handful of employees speaking up and beginning to answer his question.

He first called on Jayden and listened to his answer and smiled. Then before he would give any spoken approval or disapproval he called on the next person to raise their hand, Laura, his Broom Regulatory Division Head. He almost winked at her but felt that was inappropriate. "Very good answers you too, but that is only partly correct. Indeed, as you are ALL employees of the Magical Transportation Department I wouldn't be unfair in pressuring you all to know the basics and many details concerning all forms of Magical Transportation." he smiled at those two and moved to the next person.
"And your answers, Miss Scarlet, are both partially correct and exactly the opposite of what I was looking for." he said addressing his Apparation Division Head and then the whole room at large. The young Department Head swallowed hard as he prepared to deliver undoubtedly some rather unconventional plans.

"Many of us travel to this building everyday for work, am I correct? How do you do it? Yes most of you either Apparate or use the Floo Fireplaces attached to those of ours in the Atrium but you ALL have used or at least visited some form of muggle transportation in the past." he paused and licked his lips before continuing. "Whether it be a bus stop or a train station what is the most noticiable thing there?" he didn't wait for an answer. "The LINES! Lines, and lines of Muggles waiting impatiently to get along with their business in the crowded London Work rush. These traveling conditions have been brought to the attention of the myself and others well versed in Transportation and we are going to be implementing a plan to help those less fortunate in regards to magic." he paused to let this sink in, and his voice was becoming more impassioned and he began to use hand gestures and get into what he was saying.

"Now you may be thinking, what about the Statue? Legislation... can become out-dated. Im not suggesting we break laws but something must be done. I have been given the tools and instruction necessary to do what I need in order to bring about a new age in Muggle/Magical Transport!" he said the idea of being in charge of somethign so revolutionary so vibrant and exciting hitting him in the head that he momentarily forgot his previous opposed stand on this plan. He felt in charge for real now. And he liked it.

Gevrik had lingered just outside the door of the conference room, watching and occasionally checking his unique watch as he waited for Armen to get a move on with things. Introductions and....snacks....were all fine and dandy, sure, but they were more appropriate for a tea party than an important office conference. Was the man with a scarred face supposed to be holding a tea party?

No he was not. Ikenna had nearly lost his patience with the Head of Transportation's games until the man finally turned toward the correct topic. At last, he was cutting to the chase and starting in on their assignment.

Intrigued by both the passion in Recard's tone and the employees' reactions that were sure to come, the invisible Head of Security took a few more steps into the room and stood off to one side.

If anyone had been able to see Gevrik's face, he or she might have noticed the proud smirk playing at his lips.

What in Merlin's beards name was Armen suggesting that they do? Meddling in the everyday life of muggles was against the law. Outdated legislation had her boss lost his marbles? Baffled Scarlett opened and closed her mouths several times before asking unsurely almost dreading the answer "So what your basically saying is that you want us to ease the life of muggles with the use of our magic. To go against the law that forbids us from doing exactly that. To make the queue's shorter and the trains, busses etc to run more efficiantly?"

Scarlett shook her head wondering if the figurines had somthing to do with this borderline insane idea. Was this idea approved by the Minister herself? Focusing on eating her sandwish and drinking her juice Scarlett wondered how the other employees would react to this latest turn of events.

Okay, so this was getting weirder and weirder.. But it's not like Brooke did not want to help the muggles with their.. kind-of-a-problem but it was going to be a difficult task even if there's a lot of them working on this plan.
"So how are we going to do this..without breaking the law? Make more bus stops..?" Brooke asked. Really, really curious on how they're going to do this.

Pierre really didn't what to say. How on earth were they supposed to help Muggles using magic without them noticing? That had to be pretty difficult. He couldn't think of anyway that this could really work. "Is there any specific way that you were planning on making this happen?" He wanted to know along what lines Armen was thinking. It would make this so much easier.

Huh?

Laura looked around at the reactions of the employees around her. Many of them seemed to be feeling quite like she did at the moment: baffled. Sitting back, Laura waited it out and listened to everything Armen had to say first, before raising a hand in response.

"Uhm, I'm a bit confused, Armen. You want us to use magic to help Muggle transportation become more efficient?" she said, eyebrows drawn together. "But why exactly? We're the Department of Magical Transportation. Our involvement with Muggle transportation extends to understanding how our ways impact theirs, and vice versa."
