Selena looked up at the clock on the wall, and sighed, getting up and making her way onto the train. She looked around for an empty compartment, not really feeling in the mood for socialising. Plus, no one really spoke to her much anymore anyway. They call her immature... just because she didn't want to lose herself amongst the things they all were... just because she had some dignity left... She sighed, plonking herself lightly down on a seat, and pulling out her book. (Evernight by Claudia Gray).

Annabelle looked around, noticing people starting to get onto the train. Her eyes flicked to the watch on her wrist, and she sighed. "Jay... come on... On the train we go. And.... your girlfriend left..." She guessed that's what that girl was... She hadn't taken lightly, Annabelle's interruption to their meaningless conversation. Seriously, Jay needed to up his standards! The girls he went with didn't seem to actually have... brains....

Parker was drawing up some new plans when he heard a knock on the door. It was Megan, fellow Ravenclaw and pureblood elitist. She rarely talked to him, well, it was more like he didn't talk to most girls. He took out his wand and pointed it at the door and it slid open.

"Megan," Parker said with a nod. He motioned her to take a seat. He tucked away his papers in his coat. He didn't usually let anyone see his plans. Even if she was a fellow Ravenclaw. "How was your summer?"

Meg entered and held the book at her side. "Good. Spent most of it in the United States. Father bought another house." Not that you could call what he bought a house. It was the size of a small town. "Anyway. I found this." she said holding up the book. The cover sported a quidditch team and a team banner. "It's the playbook for one of the American teams. I don't remember which one. It's amazing what people sell for money. Anyway, I know you don't need the extra help, but I figured you'd like it." she said holding it out to him.

As Matt continued his way down the train, he spotted someone alone in a compartment. A pretty blonde somebody. Selena? Sabrina? Something along thoes lines. He leaned against the doorframe of her compartment and smiled a little. "Any good?" He asked, nodding towards the book. He crossed his arms over his chest, and smiled kindly at her.

Selena jumped slightly as someone spoke to her. She looked up to see the guy that had been sitting on the bench before. She shrugged, and closed her book. "It's alright I guess. A little on the odd side, but it's good," she replied, putting the now closed book on the seat beside her.

"What was your name again?"

Parker took at the book and immediately began flipping through the pages. "I can't say their style is entirely original, but it will most definitely be an interesting read." Parker smiled, which was a rare thing. He looked up at Megan. "Thanks!" He shut the book and put it to his side.

"My summer was okay..." Parker shrugged. "Found out I'm going to be an uncle. Which I suppose is good news. They've been married for just a year. I think they're rushing into things." Parker sighed. He never understood why someone would want to settle down before their 30s. Though, Parker wasn't one to go out and date a lot of girls. He remained single and for the most part, socially awkward during his time at Hogwarts. He just needed someone to keep up with him and understand his love for Quidditch.

"The Chudley Cannons had a last ditch effort to get me to drop out of Hogwarts, but mum and da' were furious and wouldn't let me." Parker slumped down further in his chair. He certainly would prefer being on a broom and training for the season than be on this train right now, but he only had another year.

Laughing lightly, Matt took a seat across from her. "Matt." He said with a smile. "Yours?" He asked. It wasn't like him not to remember the name of a pretty girl, but it had dissapeared.

Selena smiled at him as he sat across from her. "Nice to meet you Matt. I'm Selena," she replied. "I think I may have seen you in classes before. Seventh Year?" she asked. Yeah, she was sure of it. He sort of had one of those looks you don't really forget, a little different than most around Hogwarts.

"Seventh and final." Matt replied with a smile. Of course. Class. Thats where he remembered seeing her. "I believe we were paired up in transfigurations once last term." He said, looking her over.

"No problem." Meg said with a happy smile. "I figured every little bit helps." And plus I really hate losing. "So you're already getting offers? That's fantastic." she said. And now to the point of why she was really there. One of the reasons they were in the states was because her daddy felt she was old enough to have a mild investment. She now owned a quidditch team. "So what are they offering?"

"Right now the Chudley Cannons have offered me Seeker on their reserve team, but they say I have great promise," Parker said. He really wished they'd just offer the position, but the only way he was getting that was if the current seeker retired or died and that was really rare. "I wish I could just leave school and have the position, I don't think mixing potions is going to help many any, when I've already decided what I want to do."

Parker felt a little weird. He was actually having a conversation that lasted more than a few sentences. "What plans do you have after school?" Parker asked, somewhat curiously. He thought Megan still had another two years or so, or was that someone else? He had lost track of so many people. He didn't really make an effort to converse people and frankly, they seemed to do the same to him.

"No idea yet. Daddy wants me to go into business, just like him." Meg said. "They bought me a house for my birthday last spring and now he bought me a quidditch team. What in the world am I going to do with that?" she said a little frustrated. She still had two years of school left. And plus she was never a huge quidditch fan either. Wait, why was she telling him all of this? They had barely acknowledged each other before this. Oh yeah, she needed his help with her business venture.

Alyss stared out the window and then down at her new watch. 'Where in Merlin's beard are all the other prefects,' she thought. She was told she need to be in their compartment before the train left the station, but she was the only one there and it was quite annoying. She could be in her usual compartment with Meg planning. Shaking her head, she continued to stare out the window. 'Seriously, if no one shows soon. I'm so leaving for the comforts of my own compartment,' she told herself.

Parker completely looked over the house part and immediately went to the last bit. "A Quidditch Team?! You're daddy, I mean...father bought you a quidditch team!?" Parker was absolutely flabbergasted. The most his father ever bought him was a whole broom, but an actual Quidditch team! "Well, which team? What are you going to do? Are they any good?" Parker's mind was racing a mile a minute. This was absolutely insane.

"I know, I know," Victoire nodded, still smirking as her gaze turned towards the window once more. "But like I said, tradition can be broken." Laughing a little after her statement, she turned back to her cousin. "I say you start something with him. Just for sport?" She knew what Rose's answer would be, but Victoire would still push the issue.

"Yeah." Meg said as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Which for her, it was. "They are in California somewhere." she said not remembering the detail. She really didn't care where they were from. "They won the club championships a few years now, they just haven't had the money to go professional. But now they do. I have no idea what to do. I need to find a trainer, design the stadium, create the team name, logo, and mascot." she listed off everything she could think of. "I can't believe dad is making me do all of this. I have no head for business. Unless it involves clothes. I am very good when it comes to finding a steal when I'm shopping. Not that it matters, I have enough money to buy the stores..." she rambled. She then realized she was sitting and was actually having a conversation. Weird. She never talked like this to anyone. She must have been really stressed out. "Anyway, if you don't mind playing in the states... I can offer you any position you want. Daddy wants me to have everything ready by next summer so they can begin playing that season..."

"Victoire... please... Like I would do that... You know mum and dad still have a thing against Slytherins." Rose said stealing a glace into the corridor.

Parker was at a complete loss for words. An opening position on a brand new team handed to him on a silver platter. What are the odds of this happening? "Well, Miss Megan Isley, I think you have yourself a new Seeker!" Parker said with the widest smile he'd ever had. He felt like he was floating on thin air!

"Well, the first thing you need to do is sort out your players," Parker began to rant. "October is trading season, and I'm not saying you don't have a good team to start out with, but that's where your start. Training needs to begin almost immediately. Well, I guess you need a stadium to design...The Australians have excellent designs in soundproofing, the Swedish have added more elegance to their stadium, a bit of a modern edge really. Oh and the Greeks! Talk about keeping with tradition, they really understand the heart and soul of Quidditch and you can see it through their architecture!" Parker had to catch his breath.

"Sorry, I am getting ahead of myself, but I would be happy to help. And you said you like clothes, just think of every element of Quidditch as a piece of clothing. It you don't put on the right things or coordinate correctly, you'll be on the top of the worst dress list!" Parker hope that sounded right. He was never really good at analogies.

"Why not rebel?" Victoire couldn't help it; it would be too much fun to witness Rose having fun with one of the Tuck twins. "Uncle Ron and Aunt 'Mione never have to know. Mummy Fleur and Daddy Bill never knew about me and Teddy until... a while after our time together was over. What makes it different for you?" Speaking about Teddy still gave Victoire chills. She wasn't sure whether she missed him or didn't want to see him.

Meg's eyes lit up and she clapped her hands together. "Clothes!" she said excitedly. "That's brilliant. No wonder you're a Ravenclaw." she said. She had been worried and stressed all summer and now her head was flowing with ideas. She'd make her team light blue and silver. Maybe she'd design an old-fashion type stadium. Maybe even using a theme. Maybe Ancient Roman-style architecture. And she could name the team the Titans. "I'm excited. I already have my first player. Daddy will be so happy." she said genuinely excited. "Thanks for doing this for me." she said. "I know we usually travel in different circles... but if you need anything let me know." she said hoping that that was a good enough favor exchange. He was doing something for her and she would do something in return. "Oh... and would you be willing to help me run try-outs? Daddy's going to get me out of school a couple weekends. And then after that I can get you out for team practices." she said. she clapped her hands together and squealed excitedly again.

"What makes you think there's even something between us?" Rose asked with a raise eyebrow. "I've never even spoken to him before!"

Abigail entered the platform in a huff, feeling scattered and rushed with her mum right beside her. It seemed like it had been one thing after another this morning. First, it had been her hair. While she wasn't prissy or vain, she did like to look nice. She'd had to settle on her natural curls and a ponytail. Then at breakfast, her parents were arguing over her father's silence towards her, their only daughter. That had been repeated several times throughout the meal...like that little fact made any difference. Gregory Whisp could ignore her all he wanted to, Abby really wasn't that broken up about it. Better silence then scathing remarks.

She approached the train, irritation finally taking its place on her face. Her mother was still right behind her, talking so fast that Abby hadn't really heard a word she'd said. "Mum, I've got to get on the train before I get left...or my Prefect status will be shot." Giving her mother a quick kiss, she boarded the train looking for familiar faces.

"Um...yeah sure I could help with try-outs!" Parker didn't see why not? This was exactly what he wanted to do with his life and the opportunity couldn't be more clear. He could quit school right now and be completely happy. Parker did feel a little selfish because he was helping her out just as much as he was helping himself out. He could practically coordinate his own team. "You'll definitely have to get out of school during the Quidditch bid, it's always the weekend before Halloween!" Parker had always heard it on the wizard radio, but to actual go, that would be bloody fantastic. He actually had some great players in mind.

"Sven Skarsgård of the Nordic team is an awesome keeper, he's young and just on the the reserve team, but I think he would be awesome if he actually played. Louis Febvre, he's at Beauxbatons as a Beater, the French National Team has offered him a spot, but I don't know if he's take it yet. Oh! The Morgenstern twins of Transylvania would be a good investment. They're looking for something new, they're tired of being on a losing team."

Parker knew it would be a long shot to get all of them, but what a team they would make. And from the sound of it Megan's daddy definitely had a lot of money to possibly make this winning team. This was weird he was actually getting along with someone else...and a girl no less. Parker laughed to himself at the thought. "I can't wait! This is going to be a fantastic year!"

Kyle heaved a sigh and looked around the train again. It was going to be a long ride, especially without Matt. He glanced back up at the compartment where the two Weasley girls were talking. He overheard the words 'Slytherin' and 'rebel' mentioned several times and laughed to himself, shaking his head. Great. They were still laughing at the 'slytherin-pureblood-turned-muggle-reble' who nearly knocked over the daughter of one of the infamous Trio. Lovely. Just what he needed. Something else to make the already socially awkward Tuck twin even more ... socially... Awkward. Ugh.

"Fantastic." Meg said getting up. "The new broom catalog comes out next month. It's supposed to have next season's brooms on it. So you can get whatever you want a year early." She thought for a moment. "I think that's everything. I'll write daddy and have him let the headmaster know when we'll be out of school. Did you know if you have a business venture they let you out of school? That's so crazy, huh. I hope the team does well this year. I'll be sitting in the first row. I'm sure the owners of other teams will be there with me. I am excited to rub it in their faces that I booked you first." she said happily. Oh yeah, she loved bragging about her wealth and everything she had that noone else did. And plus daddy would be so proud. Maybe enough to send her her own house elf! That would be fabulous. The ones at the school were always messing up her laundry.

New Team. New Broom. New Country. New Everything! Parker grabbed his chest. "Wow, I feel like I could be having a heart attack!" Parker was joking of course, but his heart was beating a mile a minute. And Parker would get the opportunity to get out of school. That would be refreshing. He didn't see the use of school anyways. "Well, feel free to boast all you want. And I will be happy to make my...I mean our team look like the absolute best." Parker would love to see the look on his parents faces when he told him the news. His older brothers would be so jealous! Ha!

And, maybe this year he could be more social. It was definitely an upside to things. Yes, talking would be a good thing. "Why are you even in school if you have your life pretty much set for you? I would just leave a focus on the team!"

Meg shrugged. "I've never been into the kind of life. It's dull." she said. "I've always been more into social things. But as soon as I'm outta here I'll be whisked away into that life anyway, I'd like to postpone that as long as possible." She hated not being able to decide what she was doing with her life. But there wasn't anything she could do about it. Who knows, maybe she'll actually like it. But until she learned to like it she was glad Parker was there to take care of everything. He even referred to it as his team. That would be a relief if she didn't have to pick the team or the brooms. She had no idea what any of that stuff meant.
