| | | Rules & Guidelines ► Be punctual. Over thirty years working in the education system during which professor Botros was never late to his class, ever. ► Be respectful. The classroom is not the place to build friendships or find love lives. Swooning, making kissy faces, snide comments, and using your wand to add a tail to your fellow student's bottom, will not be tolerated. ► No chatter. Discussion is good, chatter is not. ► No shouting. Professor Botros has a hearing aid planted in one of his ears and you do not want to make it ring by shouting excitedly that you got an answer right. ► Know the rules.

| Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War | ► Classroom participation is encouraged. I understand that everyone cannot be online all the time answering each question. Missing something does not mean you will not get points. If your character have been active in class, you will be rewarded with fair amount of points. ► The first answer is not necessarily the best. You do not have to rush to be the first to respond. Points will be assigned for effort rather than speed. Out-of-the-box or creative answers are likely to be marked higher than copy & paste ones. ► Stay in character. I cannot stress on this strongly enough; If your character is not the kind to answer a question, that does not mean you will not get points. Quality over quantity. ► Do not plagiarize. Plagiarized answers can result in a deduction of house points. This includes copy & pasting answers from a fellow member (do not edit your answer after submitting it either). I made sure to include almost all the information you need in the textbook, please take some time to find the answer and re-word it accordingly. ► Do not hog. For example, If I ask you to give me the meaning of a particular rune, please give me only one meaning. This ensures that others get a chance to add something new and useful to the discussion. ► All SS & General Classroom Rules apply. Take a few moments to go through them again.

| Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War | ► Do NOT PM me your homework. A PMed homework will deduct 5 points from your house. ► Go Here to submit your homework. ► Include your character's name, house, year and member ID To see your member ID, click on your username --> Your user profile will open --> Look at its URL --> The bunch of numbers at the end, is your User ID. ► Do NOT plagiarize. Do not paste things word for word and exactly as they were used originally from the source. Do not copy another member's ideas. If you don't understand something, PM me. I'm here to help. ► Late homework will, as a general rule, not be accepted. If you're less than 12 hours late and your homework is exceptional and well thought-out, I will consider it. ► Grammar and punctuation are important. Nobody is perfect, but if you are willing to take time to do an assignment, please take out a few extra minutes to make sure I can read what you've written. ► Don't strain yourself. Don't kill yourself trying to make your homework the best. If it follows the rules and nicely written, it will get full credit I promise.

| Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War | Lesson Points Distribution Ancient Runes lessons are generally worth 15 points in total (without homework) and they are divided as follows:5 pts for 5 theoretical questions (could be only one big question that requires five-part answer, or three questions with two sub-questions...etc); not too much stress on the correctness of the answer but rather on the RPing*. 10 pts for the activity; it usually requires 5 posts; 1 pt for writing at least a paragraph + 1 point for creativity** * as long as you're sensibly playing your character thinking and giving out an answer they think is correct, you'll get the point to that question ** creativity means you play your character reacting to their surroundings from time to time during the activity rather than just hurrying along to do the assigned post number. |
