As you continue along the carnival looking at the lights, food, and just enjoying the environment you will want to stop by and check out the carnival games. It truly wouldn't be a carnival without winning your special someone or yourself a big stuffed Hippogriff.

Games are set up in booths that line a section of the carnival. As you walk through looking for the perfect game to play you will see all the lights, prizes, and workers trying to bring you to their game.

If you like throwing darts at balloons, trying to get the leaping chocolate frog into the dementor mouth, or racing to spray water from the plastic wands to fill a bucket first then here is your chance. With these games and many more, there is no way you can leave this area without being a winner.

He was well and truly lost for words at this point. She was delusional and anything he had to say only seemed to make matters worse! She needed to hush her gob because if anyone overheard the wrong snippet of convo they were going to get the wrong idea here. Sure, he had a girlfriend who was younger than him, but not THIS young.

Slightly panicked, Max shoved a hand in his pocket and produced a handful of sickles and knuts. It was all he had, okay?

"Here," he thrust his hand in her direction. "Just take my money and GO. AWAY. Leave me alone." He couldn't have made it any clearer. Merlin, help.

After begging her parents to let her go play some games, Stella was finally alone looking at the games. Hm... she wouldn't be good at leaping chocolate frogs into the dementors mouth, she knew that forba fact. Walking around a bit longer she bit her lip looking at the balloon dart game. Seeing a big stuffed wolf hanging up caught her eye, she loved wolves. Although she wasn't sure she was going to win it, she wasn't good at this game either.

Her eyes not leaving the wolf that was hanging up she walked over towards the game looking at something else for her to win. Hm... nothing seem interesting to her, and she really wanted the wolf, too bad Phoenix wasn't here he was great at this game. Sighing she looked at the wolf she giggled as it howled. "Aw... how cute! she said liking the wolf creature more and more. Hm... worth a try, I want that wolf!" she thought to herself.

GAMES!

That was where this twelve year old wanted to be! Oceanus had managed to slip away from his family after several long long loooooong minutes of insisting that he was indeed old enough to go off on his own for a little bit. He had to let his parents know exactly where he was going to be and had to promise to check in with them every half hour or so but that was okay with him!

With a small handful of coins in his pocket he headed straight for the games. Weaving his way around some older teens and adults with really loud little kids he finally got to where he wanted to be. Now the only dilemma standing between him and some real fun was deciding which game to play first.

Walking around a little bit to check out what games were there, Oceanus spotted someone he knew from school. With a large grin on his face he headed straight towards the girl with long brownish blonde hair. "Stella!" Maybe they could have a good time playing some of the games together.

Her attention was drawn away from the stuffed wolf as she heard a familiar voice calling her name. Looking around she smiled when she seen Oceanus. "Oceanus! Hi!" hugging him cause she always did that when she seen him. "You playing some games as well?" she asked him grinning. Looking at the wolf once again she sighed.

"I stink at these games, Phoenix is the one who's good at these games, I,swear he can play these with his eyes closed!" she said chuckling shaking her head. "See any games you want to play?" she asked him looking back at him. She wanted to try some, even if she stinks at them they were still fun to play. She never won anything big, but hey something was better than nothing.

Biting her lip she giggled once again as the wolf howled. Isn't it cute? I love wolves, my favorite animal hope my patronus is one, how cool would that be?" Stella was happy and having a good time she loved carnivals.

Oh. My. Merlin. What was that mime doing now? Why was he dancing around them like that?

He had suddenly gone from mildly amusing to rather embarrassing and she blushed bright red as she covered her face with her hands. "I don't know," she hoarsely whispered back to Dorian, peeking at him through her fingers. "He's SO weird."

But what he did next wasn't nearly as embarrassing and she actually let out a little giggle again and let her hands drop from her face as he pretended to lasso the very unicorn she had been eyeing. And her attention was soon drawn to Dorian again though as he prepared to throw one of the darts.

"Oh, darn," she said softly, her face falling a bit when he missed. Maybe this game was actually harder than it looked. But she gave him a small, but reassuring smile as he laughed lightly, though her expression turned to surprise as he offered her the next dart.

".....me? I, um.... okay." Hesitating slightly, she reached out her hand to take the dart. What if she missed and messed up his chances of winning anything? She might feel bad. But she had wanted to try so that was really all she could do.

Biting her lip, she took aim at a soft pink balloon and threw the dart, frowning slightly as it bounced and then clattered to the floor. "Oops... sorry." Cue tiny, sheepish smile.

Oceanus grinned widely returning the hug without a moments thought. His friend was a hugger and he didn't mind that one bit. "How are you? How's your summer?" He hadn't expected to see her here as he knew all about her going to America for the summer. "Yup! I have no idea where to start though! All the games look like fun." Maybe if he had enough coins he could play each game once?

"Where is Phoenix? Is he here too?" The twelve year old glanced around looking for Stella's older brother. When asked what games he wanted to play he looked around again. "What about that one?" He pointed towards the one where you threw darts at balloons. "Those are usually not to tough to win something."

A grin spread across his face when the stuffed wolf howled. Oceanus didn't collect stuffed animals or anything like that but he knew most girls and little kids liked them. "Are you trying to win one?" Since it was her favorite creature and all. "That would be wicked! I have no idea what mine might be... maybe something water related." Now that would be awesome to see!

Stella smiled as he returned the hug back, she missed his hugs they were always warm and welcoming. Stella missed her best friend she haven't seen him since the pool party and missed him terribly. Of course they chatted through two way mirrors almost everyday but it was good to see him in front of her instead in the mirror. " I'm excellent, and it been going great!" she said happily. "We're going back to the states and California the week before school starts, I was told I could invite someone would you like to come?" she asked him hoping he'll want to. She nodded. "Yeah... they do, but I'm not too good at them but still fun to play!" she said looking at the other games.

"He was over here by the dementor game playing it, I think he's trying to win something to send to his girlfriend Aggie." she said shrugging. "Do you want to meet him or just curious where he is? " Stella asked him her head tilted in curiously. Stella looked at the balloon dart game and bit her lip. "Looks like fun, but like I said I stink at these games, so fair warning!" she said laughing. "You and Phoenix both, he said that as well!" she said chuckling.

Stella looked at him and nodded. "Yeah... it's really cute and it howls." she said looking at wolf and back at him. "That would be wicked, like a dolphin or so that would be so cool!" That would be cool to have a dolphin patronus that would be really cool.

Well. That was rather anti-climatic, wasn't it? If only Enzo had a musical instrument to play the sad trombone sound when the boy missed. Instead, he settled for wiping away his imaginary tears on his sad, sad face. How disappointing!

And the girl was not much better. Too bad! Must be up to Enzo to show them how it's really done. He exaggeratedly pulled and pulled at the corners on his frowning mouth until he wore a wide smile. And then, with a flourish, he picked up the third of the boy's darts. Don't worry, children; Enzo the Mime was here to save the day!

Without letting go of the dart just yet, he aimed....and aimed.... and aimed. And then threw the dart, clapping his hands together as the balloon popped. Was that thunderous applause?? Enzo began taking his bows for his adoring audience.

Oceanus had to admit he was a little envious of all the traveling his friend was getting to do. He went places with his family too but America was something completely different! Every time they talked on their mirrors he would ask questions about everything she was doing and seeing... he couldn't wait until they had time to look at all the photos she was going to show him. Whoa! Wait. What?! California... and she wanted him to come along?! Heck yes! His blue eyes went wide and he nodded fast unable to get words to form just then. "Yes! Totally! I'll have to ask my parents but yes!" He laughed grinning at her. Hopefully his mum and dad would say that it was okay.

"Uhhh... I don't mind meeting him if you want me to?" The main reason he had asked what he had was maybe if they found her brother than he could win her that wolf she wanted since he was so good at the games. "Come on then. Let's give it a try together... it's okay if you're bad at it. I'm bad at cartwheels." He grinned at her jokingly.

"We can try to win one together if you want?" If he ended up being the one that won it he would gladly give it to her seeing as to how much she really liked that wolf stuffie. "Yeah! A dolphin would be pretty cool!"

Stella looked at Oceanus happily she hoped he was able to go with her to California. She was sure he was going to enjoy it more then she was. Hello they were going to see the ocean and his name is Oceanus! "Yay! I hope you're going to be able to come, we're going to have so much fun!" she said happily. They were going to have a good time if he was able to come, she couldn't wait!

"He's over there playing games right now, so it's ok." she said waving at Phoenix. Seeing him smile and wave back she smiled. If they won something together she would treasure it forever cause they won it together. She giggled. "Hey... you're learning and you're almost there, you're doing great!" she said smiling at him.

Stella nodded. "Okay! That'll be nice and fun."she said looking at the game and back at him. If they worked together maybe they could win something the both of them worked hard for. " Ooh... that'll be cool, can you imagine it 'swimming' around here? That'll be awesome!" she said. Although she knew all patronuses were cool though.

Whatever he had to do to get his parents to agree to let him go, he was going to do. If he had to do extra chores, get perfect grades the entire year when he returned to Hogwarts, beg! Yeah, he would beg if it came down to it. Hopefully it wouldn't. "It's gonna be the best! I'll find a way to get them to say yes, don't worry." Cue the widest most excited grin ever. And he wasn't even sure he was allowed to go yet.

Oceanus looked to where Stella had waved at a boy a few years older than themselves. Wanting to be polite he waved at Phoenix also giving the guy a light smile. "I'm still working at them. I fall a lot but I'm getting there." If he kept practicing like he had been he might just be able to learn it by the time they returned to school.

"Let's go throw some darts then!" He grinned at Stella. Whatever they won she could have, he was cool with that. If they won more than one prize working together than they each could have something. "It would be funny seeing it 'swam' through this crowd of people."

Nodding she hoped he was able to come, it was going to be really fun. They could walk around the beach swim in the ocean, her mind was going wild at the possibilities. " I hope so, I invited you cause I wanted to invite someone I knew I'll have fun with!" she said as if it wasn't nothing. Stella smiled back at him happily with her eyes sparkling at him, there was excitement in her sky blue eyes.

Seeing Phoenix wave back at Oceanus she smiled even more. "Ooh... a wave back, thanks goodness I was afraid he was going to glare you down." she said sighing in relief. He knew how her brother was, she told him all about how Phoenix was. [B]"I fell alot too when I was trying to master them, I twisted my ankle a few times doing it, so watch how you land and be careful." She didn't want him to hurt himself, that wouldn't be good.

"Okay let's do this!" grinning back at him she paid and got some darts. "Ok... here goes nothing! she said as she threw the dart. Seeing it go above the balloon she frowned. She was so close, she almost popped one of them but that was a almost. "See? Told you that I suck at this!" she said frowning.

Jorgie instantly began to cry. And scream. And the mixture of the two sounded much like a yodelling sob. And also a noise that no person wanted to witness or would witness from another child.

She smacked his hand out of the way, sending the coins flying and screamed for her father who was definitely not around here.

But oh boy, Jorgie would scream for Adam Stemp until her throat ran dry.

What he was really looking forward to though was getting to hangout with his best friend that wasn't one of his siblings.

There was crying and there was screaming - if that's what you could even call that awful NOISE - and his coins were rolling in each and every direction. He probably should've seized the opportunity to quickly scarper, but instead, without really thinking of any potential consequences, Max drew his wand and cast his best silencing charm.

And it was a good one. Charms were his THING.

Huzzah for being officially of age. Take THAT crazy screaming psycho girl.

Working for the Russian Ministry with the Specialized Magical Beasts Command Unit had been everything he hadn't realized he wanted and needed. Though it also meant that the number of scars on his body had increased, it was of little consequence to him. Though that slash across his chest from a nundu was particularly nasty and had put him in critical care for a time. Not that the blonde in which he shared company with was privy to. She already fret so much about dragons and him potentially turning into toast as was - and that had been an isolated instance at Durmstrang in which, Andrei was still convinced, had been of the fault of the professor.

"Darts," says easily as he glances around at the stands. Chocolate frogs into a dementor's mouth seemed a bit too juvenile to him, though he had no qualms against the water racing game. "Which stuffed animal do you want? I'll win it for you."

Smiling back she looked at him and shrugged, he was her best friend why wouldn't she invite him? They always had a good time together, even if they had a little misunderstanding with each other, they always work it out in the end. " You don't have to promise me anything, I know we will!" she said nodding. She couldn't wait to take pictures and walk around the beach as well as surf! There was so much they could do, it was going to be awesome!

She shrugged. "Yeah maybe, but I think he knows that you would never hurt me, we're best friends and best friends don't do that to each other." she said simply. Stella knew alot of boys at their old muggle school were scared of Phoenix although she never knew why, other than knowing he was expelled for fighting. Stella didn't care about no boyfriend or anything like that, she was young and like she said her and Oceanus were buddies and best friends. She just wanted to have a good time and the best of the rest of the summer with her best friend. She nodded. "Ok... sorry I worry about my loved ones and friends, I don't want them to get hurt." She never liked when her friends and loved ones gotten hurt it made her upset and sad.

Biting her lip she nodded. "Ok... aim alittle bit lower. " she said taking another dart and aiming lower. As she threw it she closed her eyes.

Opening her eyes suddenly at the sound she seen that she popped one. She did it, she actually popped one!
"I did it Oceanus! Did you see that?!" she askes him happily. Ok....so it was just one but she popped it!

"Darts," says easily as he glances around at the stands. Chocolate frogs into a dementor's mouth seemed a bit too juvenile to him, though he had no qualms against the water racing game. "Which stuffed animal do you want? I'll win it for you."

Vivian was working on getting used to it, to Andrei's kind of work. It has been almost a year now and while she was never entirely sure where in the world Andrei Romanos' job would take him, the blond was also learning to just be okay with it. Even when it probably bothered her sometimes. But, hey, it must mean something if he was able to graduate and come out of Durmstrang alive, right? Surviving potential dragon toast situations and dark arts lessons. That must account for something. But on top of that, the former Slytherin was nothing but confident of his fire taming skills.

Getting a cut from a nundu encounter would be an entirely different story, though. All those things aside, Vivian was pretty glad to take Andrei out for a breath of fresh air. Literally and figuratively.

"Darts, it is," Vivian replied. It was one she preferred better than the others. Chocolate frogs into a dementor's mouth? That's a no from her as well. Andrei's offer, however, made the blond beam. "How cute. You already won my heart already."

..........On second thought, maybe that sounded a bit too cheesy, even for a romantic like Vivian. She couldn't help but make a face at what she herself just said. "They've loads of hippogriff ones. I'm okay with those, but do you think they have thunderbirds or cruppy ones too?" Letting the indecisive decide was going to be difficult, but she was very much okay with any creature if she were to be honest.

Owen was at the carnival again today, this time with his lady friend instead of his family. Despite the favored company, however, the former ex-Hufflepuff was...distracted and frustrated due to some things. But in order not to ruin the mood, he was trying hard not to show it by way of his usual grinning self...smiling at the balloon man's creations, the mime's antics...

In a way, he was hoping today's little trip could somewhat divert his thoughts from the source of its aggravation but currently it was not doing much more than a drop of water for a thirsty man.

"See anything you like?" He asked, turning to his companion, but his eyes were not on her or at least not entirely.

See? This was just another reason he enjoyed hanging around with her. They got along really great and always had the best time when they were together. "Of course we will!" There was noway they wouldn't have the best time possible.

"Good, thing too cause I wouldn't do that." He wasn't that type of person. Plus they were besties. Nothing Stella did to him could make him purposely be mean to her. Everything they did together was done out of friendship and to have fun. Oceanus grinned widely at her, "That's alright. You're supposed to worry about people you care about."

Oceanus laughed quietly under his breath as she closed her eyes while throwing the dart! There was a loud pop that could only be made by a balloon as the dart hit one of the balloons. "I did! Told you that you could do it!" He smiled at her happily holding one of his hands up for a high-five!

The Worple and Warmsley Carnival.

It had been a welcome surprise to hear it was back in town, remembering it’s last visit when she was growing up. Cassie had been sure that she wanted to attend at least once this season, she just hadn’t expected to be there with someone. At least someone that wasn’t related to her. But here she was, slowly strolling through the sights and sounds of the carnival with Owen, trying to take it all in. There seemed to be an animal theme this time around, a cute way to make it new each time they came around.

Cute creatures both real and stuffed…and balloon shaped…all around.

Owen spoke and she was drawn back to her companion. “Um…nothing that singularly jumps out at me,” Cass remarked, inwardly wondering if she didn’t just jinx them with a literal surprise. “What about you?” He had said he’d previously made it to the carnival on his own. Maybe there was something he wished to go back to.

Stella smiled. "I wouldn't want it any other way, but we're going to have a blast!" she said happily. They could be hanging out for the rest of the summer and she'll still have a good time with him. It didn't matter what they did, she always had a good time with her best friend. She liked spending time with him, they always had a good time together.

She knew that some people were backstabbers to their best friends or friends, but she wasn't that way. Oceanus could never hurt her on purpose, he didn't seem like that type of person, he felf guilty when he pulled her under at the pool party. She smiled at him. "Good cause I'm going to worry, so better get use to it!" she said giggling.

Giving him a high-five back, she smiled happily at him het sky blue eyes sparkling happily. Taking another dart she looked at the balloons before her. "I'm going to try again!" Throwing the dart she watched hoping that it popped another balloon.

Pop!

"Yes! So far so good!" she said happily.

It wasn't nice, really, nor was it respectful that he was having such wayward thoughts when he was here with Cassie. He didn't want to deal with them either, if only had a choice. So Owen shoved his personal problems into the back of his mind and shifted his focus on his lady friend. Not that refocusing his attention back to her was difficult to do. Not at all. He was very attentive towards her these days, if he was being honest.

In her taking everything in, Cass wasn’t readily aware of Owen’s distraction. Not that if she did it was any of her business. This wasn’t a date where she needed her companion’s full attention on her. Just two individuals out for a bit of fun outside the workplace. Now just where to begin said fun in all the games scattered around?

She didn’t know what to make about the arm around her shoulder but she didn’t push it away from her either. They were friends…right? Not just fellow ministry workers that Cassie had to admit made her second year a bit better than the first. Not that it was hard with the drama of the previous minister…but still. “Sure…” the former Ravenclaw agreed with a small smile, trying to remember if she knew anything of his accuracy skills. "You can try..." she mused with a touch of jest.

At least it would be fun to watch either way.
