Hermione entered the Gryffindor common room, and curled up on a lounge chair with one of her favourite books, Hogwarts, A History. Whilst delving into the great detail, she was interrupted by a most annoying giggle from, what seemed to be, in the corner of the room. She looked up grudgingly to identify who was making such a racket. Her eyes came across Ron, and Lavender. With a frown, she closed her book, and stormed up to the girls dormitory. Sitting on her bed in peace, she sighed, and went back to reading, slightly bothered after seeing Ron and Lavender together. |
19. Wand. Hermione walked behind Ron and Harry down near the lake. They had just passed a pack of giggling first year girls, at the sight of Harry. Harry rolled his eyes, and Ron laughed at them, so they scuttled off. “Ron, you should really keep your wand out of your back pocket,” Hermione said, while walking behind him. “And you should really keep your eyes off my bottom,” he replied with a smirk. Hermione flushed, “My eyes were not on your bottom Ronald,” she retaliated, and quickened her pace so that she was standing next to the boys, rather than behind. |
33. Classroom. Hermione, after chasing after a rodent who had stolen one of her S.P.E.W badges, threw open a door to a classroom. She stopped in her tracks, and glared at seeing Ron and Lavender entwined on a desk. Apparently neither of them had heard the door slam wide open, for they were still in each others arms. Hermione then grabbed the door handle, and slammed the door shut. “How did I ever think that he wanted me?” she asked herself, and hurried down the hallway, not noticing the door opening a crack, Ron peering through, a forlorn look on his face. |
3. Transfiguration. Hermione sat next to Harry, during Transfiguration, and Ron was sitting on his other side. She hadn’t spoken to Ron since that night, and didn’t think that she would again. Hermione constantly gave Ron dirty looks, and Harry sighed from in between them. “If you don’t sort this out soon,” Harry whispered, “I’m going to walk out of this room, and you will have to sit next to each other.” Hermione folded her arms and did not look at Ron once during the rest of the lesson. In doing so, she missed the longing looks that Ron had given her. |
