Laundry Room https://i.postimg.cc/kgTHHMD9/laundry-room-banner2.jpg Ever wonder where your dirty underpants wind up? Just down the corridor, not terribly far from the staircase to the kitchen, the door to the laundry room can be found. What you will find in this room will, likely, not be a surprise. There were no Muggle washing machines and dryers around. Instead, front and centre, are large tubs with accompanying wash boards and sticks. A bizarre system of clothes lines fill the back of the room, beside which tables and large hampers await. |
Eva! Sarika had always been used to doing her own laundry, mostly after she had moved to India for a bit for studies and commencing her journey as a professor and tutor. It was then indeed safe that one could make the assumption that the woman continued the trend despite Hogwarts’ House Elves being ever present to tend to it. The Divination professor entered the laundry room carrying a basket of her clothing. Perched on the topmost robe was her one year old part kneazle, Catpuccino, whom she was talking to in Hindi. “Yes, I understand that you miss Laz. I do too. Tell you what, pretty little baby.” Sarika placed the basket atop one of the washers. “When we’re done here, we can Mirror Call him and Woofie.” There was a low, brisk chirrup that she took to mean a thrilled ‘yes, mama’. “Excellent! Now, are you going to help me sort these?” |

Looking around, and seeing no house elves the badger girl asked her professor with a sigh. "Should I have left my laundry by my bed in the badger den, since there are no house elves here that can help me?" Ariadne was not going to try washing her own clothes since there was a possibility that more red paint would come on more than just the clothes in the basket. |
"Quirly is here. Quirly do the laundry for the missus." The petite elf had popped into the laundry room seemingly from nowhere. "Give it here, here." She waved her spatula around, waiting expectantly and would not hesitate to use it should the ladies resist. "Oh my that is quite the stain..." Large orbs widened at the sight of the paint - if widening the eyes was possible for an elves eyeballs. |
SPOILER!!: Ariadne & Quirly! <3 Not a chirrup, not a meow, not a single sound to that next question. Sarika knew what that meant: Catpuccino had no intention of helping her in the least. This was further proven when the cat buried its cute tiny head under a layer of a bright pink saree {yes, gifted to her by Krittika}. “Noted,’’ she said cheerfully. “Make yourself cosy, my love. But after I have gotten my clothes from the basket, please.” Whether Catpuccino verbally acknowledged her words, Sarika didn’t know since the sound of something solid hit the floor filled the air. Turning, the source was identified. “Oh, hello, Ariadne! Do you need some help?” Her words had switched to English now. The blushing was purposely ignored; the Hufflepuff need not be embarrassed. “Part kneazle,’’ the woman corrected lightly, looking over her shoulder. Catpuccino was now peering from inside the basket, front paws against the top edge so that he was peering over it at the girl. “I think he likes you.” Just then, Quirly popped up. “Ask for help and it shall be given,’’ Sarika remarked. “Hello, Quirly. Your timing is perfect.” The spatula wasn’t needed though, was it? "Thank you for your offer, my dear; you can focus on Ariadne's. I enjoy doing my own laundry, as you may know." The only person she allowed to help her with this was Laz. |
