Only if you and Jaren snitch! *stares at you* I suppose its reasonable for all the students to know the state of the professors, but how much would the outside world know before those students went home? And... how much do you as students know about WHY and HOW these things happened this term? Not a whole lot, I hope. :) |
I donno, in my experience rumors spread like the plague (gah). Nah, Jaren is very quiet and hardly says anything, though considering that he was there at that time says something about the underground network of information...I say no more. Somebody's probably figured it out anyway. |
*gives them a big ol' pat on the back* Good to know! No, I wasn't doubting your abilities of sticking to time but I was wondering if you were thinking of adding a day to the schedule. Today is the last day of school but maybe not of 'staying at school' *wink wink* EDIT: I can see why you cancelled the yuleball, though. *nods nods* This is the thing, and which I also thought when in Nadia's first term, aka 3th => There's absolutely no way the Ministry would be kept in the shadows about all of it and, any case, would be conspirational to the school staff (hehe). Why, it is not easy to keep secret the many deaths - in the third term they were about 3, now they are seven or so, including the disappearance of Sir Spot (just after being awarded this same year), and most of them being kids (in the third term the only kid was orphan(is she?) Marcella)! How will Hendrik explain to the parents and not communicate the happenings? Plus, nobody would notice the fact that the once-ghost have returned to life? Oh, c'mon! One look at their bodies from only a couple of students (which already passed by there) and the rumours would have fled though the school - Not a comon happening, not even in the Wizarding World. Now, maybe not outside the school just yet, but surely once they do you have another problem to face: How will you explain that the professors came back from death without revealing the mystery of the Book of Mysteria and its whereabouts to the Ministry and, even, to the Daily Prophet? You have pretty much blow your cover up and, once the fact that such a secret book is held within Hogwarts walls where students are involved, the parents, authorities and wizard community would sure ask for the book to be (at last!) removed from the school! And then... what? I wouldn't be too surprised if Hendrik was sacked by order of the Ministry if he dared not tell them from before. Or even if a couple of professors land on Azkaban for dark illegal activities in a public place. As I see it, if you play they, the Ministry, didn't know from the beggining then you are getting in the worst problem ever. And there's pretty much no way out: how can you explain a couple of were-to-be dead bodies walking around the place? News will just... fly. |
Yes, well... as I said... those are interesting questions to be bringing up, and we've had next term mapped out for a little while now. You'll have to see if those issues unfold next term. In the meantime, you can make assumptions based on what I posted above: the general world knows about the newly-alive teachers and the student deaths, but doesn't know how or why. More will come out next term, I assure you, but the only thing the general public will know is what the students can share and what the professors choose to share. THUS... the professors choose to share nothing and the students know only the tip of the iceburg. Of course, I'll completely understand if your parents refuse to let you come back next term, students. *waves sadly* I'll miss you. |
The virtue of having an uncle who doesn't, to put it kindly, care two pence about his nephew, is that Jaren will indeed be back for another series of unfortunate events next school term. Looking forward to more wackiness, Backslash, AKA Jaren, AKA whatever else you may know me by. |

I know the fun of it! *snickers* Nadia just loves to revealing secrets - no, wait, I love HER unfolding secrets! And here she wants to be an Unforgivable... tsk. There's more than one reason why Nadia might not be coming back, or at least not as always (aka, obsessed 24/7) but I won't tell for sure - she looks like take over my body and do her will everytime I play her, lol. But on the other hand... she might be coming with a good excuse for the protective parents she has... only also she would need a plan not to let them realize it's a lie. she probably won't be coming back to that magic summer school she always goes to. Lol Anyway, I am rambling. Thanks for the tips, Erin! Maybe we can work for that now... I just need some way to explain the Ministry of Magic knowledge. (My Seer Eyes sees.... not telling you, but I already made a prediction of what is happening^^) And so I bid you good by and good night. Don't let the mosquitoes bite you! |
Ah... *poke* But if you don't tell, then we'll never know if you correctly predicted things or not. *shrug* Oh well... guess you'll have to wait and see what we've cooked up. |
Haha, Ashlie is a Muggle-born. She only lets her parents know what she wants them to know. So, she will of course be back. And if her parents tried to refuse, she'd flag down the Knight-Bus or run away to another friend's house. A bit of a persistat one isn't she? |
Okay, now that the term has ended I'm going to go ahead and rename and lock this thread. Jaren will go ahead and start the new "What in Merlin's Beard" thread for next term when he gets the chance. Thank you everyone for your contributions. *claps* |
