Seventh-Floor Corridor

Because the seventh floor is the gateway to Hogwarts' biggest towers, you can expect to access quite a bit of the castle from here. The most notable areas that this corridor provides passage to are the Owlery, Astronomy Tower, Divination Tower, the common rooms for both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, and, if you know where to look, the Room of Requirement. Sweeping views of the Quad below are available thanks to a series of large windows.

After stepping onto the seventh-floor corridor, a statue of Lachlan the Lanky immediately greets you. There really isn't anything overly special about him, but one can hide behind him and not be easily found if you're playing hide-and-go-seek or are just wanting to completely avoid someone. A renowned tapestry and numerous portraits, ranging from a mother and her baby, various wildlife animals, and the chivalrous Sir Cadogan adorn the walls. The latter portrait, should you ever need help getting around, is always eager to assist those who are, allegedly, in distress.

Zara sighed and looked out the window, flicking her long reddish hair over one shoulder while she brooded. This was becoming a common activity for the teenager, this moody, broody languishing behavior.

But she wasn't just brooding on the windowsill, thank you very much. She was waiting for her friend(s). And maybe munching on a few Bertie Botts while she waited...

SPEW Activity Group ^_^

“Clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere…” :music:

Norman was practically bouncing down the halls as he led Emily (Emmeline), Fifi (Phoebe), and whoever else wanted to join his group to the seventh floor corridor. Thank goodness Amy put him in charge of his own group! He didn't want to be stuck with Grumpy Gus or the Ice Queen. Those two threw off his groove big time!

There should be no groove-throwing with this group, especially if he found a way to make the job fun. Even more fun than Amy's game with points and prizes! But what else could he do? His aquamarine eyes darted about the corridor in search of something fun and - Aha, he had an idea!

"Listen up, my dudes and dudettes,” he addressed the group. "How about we add even more fun to Professor Adarius's game? For every cleaning job you do, you get not one but two pieces of candy!” He jiggled the candy bag for emphasis. “We'll start on this floor and work our way down, okay?”

With a wave of his wand, he conjured a feather duster with a long handle. He busied himself cleaning the ceiling, using the feather duster with one hand and vanishing cobwebs with his wand in the other. As he worked, he resumed singing. “Clean up, clean up, everybody do your share…” :music:

Professor Carton was practically bouncing or was it a sort of old man dancing as they made their way to the seventh floor corridor. Emmie did her best to keep up in Prof Carton's wake, being glad that at least one professor was in a chipper mood and not all grumpy-pantsy like the DADA professor was.

As they halted Emmie stared in confusion at Prof Carton. What was a dudette? Did he mean her and Pheobe? After glancing over at Pheobe to see if she was as confused as Emmie felt, she decided that it wasn't worth mentioning, and stayed silent to await instructions. So they had to clean, and would get pieces of candy as they worked. Turning to Pheobe as Prof Carton began singing his cleaning tune again she asked "Pheobe, want to clean together? We can use scourgify or tergeo unless you want to clean by hand with a cloth?"
