Duelling Arena When not being used for some of your Defense lessons, the duelling arena is available for those who want to get in a bit of extra training. There are several dummies available for you to have a go at, as well as a bookshelf to the far corner filled with resources should you decide to get in a bit of extra study. |

So he settled himself on the stage in the room to catch his breath. "Well," he looked to Ivy expectantly, "I don't see any monsters. Do you?" |

Ivy stopped babbling and gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. What if he had already taken them to the forest? Without explanation, she ran to a high window facing the grounds and started jumping trying to see out of it, but she was too short. Taking out her wand, she cleverly thought to use the charm they had just learned. ”Ascendio!” she said as she pointed her wand in the air. In her panic, she was a bit overzealous and ended up rising past the window, but as she did she saw what looked like red sparks over the trees in the forest. Coming back down hard, she wobbled a little and turned back to the professors. ”Look! Looook!” she urged them as she pointed to the window. ”Someones sending up sparks in the forest!” |
apologies for the delay <3 No monsters. Just as Finneas had expected Case and point, today seemed to be an off day for the lot of them. He looked over at Williamson, in hopes that the Creatures professor would find a way to end the concern sooner rather than later. In doing so, he had completely missed the dramatic use of the 'ascendio' charm and simply heard the young Hufflepuff declare a discovery of red sparks coming from the forest? Errrr...? Okay, this peaked his concern. Finneas Schmoe is now tuned in. He quickly hurried his way over to the windows with concern, looking out towards the--"Ah. See, Ms. Taylor. Everything appears to be alright." Did she see the mass exodus of students leaving the forest? The Headmaster following along behind them? "Your headmaster looks to have it all under control." |
Yeah, being unprepared for a lesson was hardly reason to be suspicious. Nor was taking the students outside? All of HIS lessons were outside, right near the edge of the forest. Did that make him a Dark wizard? "Sparks or no," Williamson also missed the unnecessary ascendio charm there, as he was looking around the room for anything out of the ordinary, and then slowly standing up again, "I think your Defense class is about over. So you'll be needing to head to your next one, then, Miss Taylor." Or would she be needing to see the Healer for her obvious paranoia? He exchanged a glance with Schmoe to see what he thought of this. |

....................? "Yes, well, er, as Professor Williamson just said," he looked back to his former professor. "Best get to class." Why was she standing like that? It was making him uncomfortable. |
Right, Williamson didn't have all day to faff about here with first years. He had a stack of essays he'd left in the staff room, not to mention that drink he really wanted to finish now. He sighed at the girl's antics. "I think you will be the sorry one, Taylor, if you keep talking to your professors that way." He gave the first year a stern look and directed her to the door, leading the way himself in fact. "Back to class. You can ask your parents to book you a weekend at St. Mungo's if you feel you need it." Was there a note of sarcasm in his tone there, or...? He glanced at Finneas and shook his head. The children this year were SO dramatic. |
