It is definitely very different to have a Divination class not in the brightly lit Divination tower and not in the afternoon, but this class is very different than the classes you have had this term with Professor Kitridge, yes, this class is set in the spirit room and after dinner for a reason.
As you make your way into the room you will notice that the only light is coming from candles that have been placed around the room and the faint smell of spices comes and goes with the flicker of those candles. The room is empty for the most part, except for a large round table in the center with enough chairs for all the students. Professor Kitridge is seated in a chair already wearing darker than normal robes. A floating board behind her instructs students to keep voices at a very low whisper and to find a seat. It also states to place all items at ones feet and not to put anything on the table this evening.

After she grabbed them a spirit board, she returned to her seat and angled herself so she was facing Heath.
"Do you have anyone in particular you want to try to talk to?" she asked. Were there any requirements as to who was able to be a spirit and who wasn't? Could they literally pick any witch or wizard? She wondered if there were any qualifications for a dead person to become a true spirit, or if anyone was able to become one. And were they supposed to ask the spirit about the future, or just questions about themselves? But Avalon didn't really care who they talked to, as long as it was someone interesting. She supposed they'd just have to try to summon one and see how it went.
Heath was just going to ask if Avalon wanted him to get their spirit board when she left to get it herself. Okay, that worked too. It didn’t matter who retrieved the board, as long as they had one! He blinked confusedly when Avalon turned her chair to face him. Didn’t Professor KItridge say they were supposed to sit on the floor for this? “I, uh… I think we’re supposed to sit on the floor,” he said. He could be entirely wrong, though. This was all a bit confusing!
As for who to talk to, Heath had no idea! All of his loved ones were still alive. Sure, there were a lot of old muggle actors he’d like to speak to, ask them questions about their craft, and get some pointers, but it needed to be someone Avalon could talk to also. Besides, were they even allowed to summon muggles? Did that somehow break the Statute of Secrecy? He thought back to the important historical figures he knew of. One thing was for sure: he did not want to summon someone like Voldemort or Bellatrix Lestrange! Why were so many of his classmates opting for dark wizards/witches? That made about as much sense as everyone wanting to go back to Jakku! No, whoever they got, it should be someone kind and easy to talk to, someone like…
Aha, he had it! “How about Lily Potter?” Heath suggested. “She seemed nice… at least based on what I’ve heard about her.”

In the darkness of the room lit only by candlelight, Isla was starting to get really, really uneasy. She really didn't want to do this. She imagined her facial expression said as much, but maybe it was well-hidden from all the others. The last thing she needed was somebody like Bernie or Claudine to see.
She turned her focus back to Ewan. Anybody she had mind? "Uhh, not r--...actually, yes," she said. "Fiona found a news article in the Great Hall not too long ago. It was this article about Queen Victoria." Isla then launched into what she remembered about the story. "It was kind of weird to find such an old article lying around the castle. Maybe we can summon Queen Victoria and ask her some questions." It was a thought.
She nodded when Ewan questioned what she'd said about not wanting to do this. "Not really my thing," she said. Yet here they were, about to do it anyway. She felt relieved when Ewan, a seventh year, said the same. "Well, let's get this over with..." She placed her two fingers on the...whatever it was called, sighed, then waited for Ewan.
It was strange how the aura of the room had some changed, almost switching entirely from relaxed and mellow to eerie and foreboding. Maybe it was just because he personally didn’t want to be there anymore but it just didn’t feel right. He had a bad feeling and it just wasn’t going away. Taking a deep breath, just did his best to listen to Isla.
Despite the fact she didn’t actually want to be there, she had come up with an idea of what she wanted to do pretty quickly, although he couldn’t exactly complain. It wasn’t one of his relatives that they were possibly going to speak to so what did it matter?
”Article?”
Ewan considered the article for a moment, his mind going back to the days when he actually studied Queen Victoria at his muggle school before he had ever known about Wizards. What little he remembered wasn’t all that interesting when you consider what the article now brought to light. Was she a witch? How did she really die if there were healers there? Honestly, the questions were endless and they had, if somewhat reluctantly, piqued his interest. ”Queen Victoria?” he repeated again, as though the sound of her name would somehow dictate his answer. ”Sure, why not. I can’t think of anyone better and that news article...It just sounds a little fishy to me”.
Reaching out, Ewan placed his index and middle finger on the worn, wooden board in between them both and paused for a moment, considering what he wanted to say to call the spirit towards them both. Finally, with the imagine firmly in his mind of the stout, humourless Queen in her black robes, the prefect looked at Isla and gave a small nod as a signal that he was ready.
”Alexandrina Victoria”, he whispered lightly first, because that was her actual name, although, it did sound somewhat weird. She had always been know simply as Queen Victoria. Maybe she wouldn’t come unless you used her full title? He clearly hadn’t thought this part through properly.
With all of this flickering through his mind a in the blink of an eye, the prefect had decided finally to just go her most popular name, figuring that it would most likely reap better results. ”Queen Victoria, We would like you to come visit us”,his voice firmer now with a slightly steeled tone behind it as his eyes bore into planchette. Repeating it twice more, the prefect waited with a mixture of excitement and incredulity at what they were about to possibly do. Would she accept their invite and visit them? He wasn’t sure but if the shiver that had just run down his spine was a sign, something was about to happen. He wasn’t superstitious but wasn’t that a sign that someone had just walked over his grave?
"Oh well, it would be rather cool if they could help." Blake added to their Professor, he would have found Nearly Headless Nick in about 2 seconds flat if he could have helped.
And then turning around to see who was available to be his partner, he noticed Tom. They worked together in several projects this year alone, mind as well join up once more. It was nice to have a male 'friend' to talk to instead of all the girls in his life ... although truth me told he hadn't spent much time with Bernadette lately and he kind of missed her. "Hey Tom, want to work together again?" Blake added with a smile and a board under his arm.
Tom smiled as Blake came over to him. "It would be awesome to work with you again." Tom loved working with Blake, he thought back to their last assignment together and he nearly burst out laughing, seriously it was so much fun and now they would do this together.
Tom was now trying to figure out who he wanted to bring back to chat with, that was what they were doing right. "Any suggestions?" Tom couldn't think of anyone in particular, so maybe Blake had some idea.
Missa wished Eiji or Nettie or Keenan or Alex or anyone was around. Because clearly she was now very much left partner-less, and this was just very embarrassing.
Awkwardly looking around, she considered her options - before dragging her feet to the nearest pair.
“Do you guys mind if I join you?” she asked the two (Heath & Avalon) with a polite little smile.

Naya was pleased that she had gotten the answer right. There was something to be said for being the first to respond. All of the good answers hadn’t been taken yet. Now though, it was time to get to work and communicate with some spirits. For some reason, Naya was not creeped out about the activity to come. She supposed in certain situations she might be. For now, she was good. She thought for a moment about who she would like to speak with. She had an idea, but Divination class was not exactly the place she wanted to have that conversation.
It seemed that they would be using Ouija boards to make their connection. Naya had had the occasion to use one once or twice, back in her muggle world. But for this task, she was going to need to find a partner. Her first thought was to pair up with Cole. Then she saw Jina, who looked to be in need a partner. So she decided to volunteer.
“Hi”, she said to the older girl. “Do you need a partner? Want to work together?”
"Hi, yeah sure!" she replied with a bright smile. Jina was glad to have a partner, and Naya was in Gryffindor too! Members of that house were least likely to be creeped out about communicating with spirits, right?
She went to get a board for the two of them and returned quickly. "I guess we'll need to sit on the floor ..." she whispered as she looked for an empty space on the floor. She didn't like it much - the floor did not look very clean and it seemed a bit unnecessary. When she sat down on the floor and set the board in front of her, she looked up at Naya again. "Who should we talk to? Someone famous, or um perhaps anyone you personally knew? I don't really mind."
Aha, he had it! “How about Lily Potter?” Heath suggested. “She seemed nice… at least based on what I’ve heard about her.”
Oh, yeah. Professor Kitridge had told them to sit on the floor. Avalon just thought they could talk about who their spirit was and what questions they wanted to ask first. But Heath already had a good idea for which spirit to summon, so she supposed they could move to the ground awhile. "Yeah, you're right," she said, moving to the floor. She sat cross-legged and put the board in front of her, so that Heath could sit across from it. Was that how it was supposed to work? "I like the idea of Lily Potter. I've always admired her." Lily might have been a Gryffindor, but Avalon always admired her bravery and love for her family. Plus, she seemed nice, and she would probably be willing to talk to them. Unlike some evil wizards, which she had overheard some of her classmates talking about. Why were some students trying to summon Voldermort? Wasn't that a little dangerous?

“Do you guys mind if I join you?” she asked the two (Heath & Avalon) with a polite little smile.
Avalon looked up with a smile as another Ravenclaw approached them. "Of course, Missa!" She scooted over to make room for the Prefect on the floor next to them. They could all sit around the planchette. "Heath and I are trying to summon Lily Potter," she added to catch Missa up with their plans. But what exactly would Avalon ask Lily? Maybe she could ask her about the Order of the Phoenix. Or about becoming Head Girl. But wait, were they supposed to be asking the spirit about their own futures, or the spirits themselves? Avalon was a little confused about this whole thing. Maybe Missa or Heath would want to ask the first question.
"So I think we need to try to summon her, and then one of us can ask a question if she responds. Who wants to ask first?" She placed two fingers on the planchette. "I guess we can go ahead and try to summon her.....I think we just all have to say her name a few times." Did they all say her name, or just one of them? Maybe if all three of them asked her to visit, it would work better? She really didn't know - the Ravenclaw had never tried to speak with a spirit before. Avalon looked at the others and gave them a nod for them to start speaking. "Lily Potter, we would like you to visit us. Lily Potter, we would like you to visit us. Lily Potter, we would like you to visit us." She stared at the planchette intently, waiting for something to happen.
Aboli was glad Islay said yes! It was also nice she had a dead mother - not like...actually nice, but it was good to have someone else to contact. Aboli was sureeeee glad she hadn't said that aloud. "Let's do that. Your mum. Sure. Wonderful. GRAND!" she beamed and nodded. "Now..what do we have to do - " she squinted around at the groups around them. "I'll go fetch the board!" With much enthusiasm, she hopped up, grabbed a board, and plopped back down next to Islay.
"What's your mum's name? We have to say it three times and ask her to nicely come chat. Will you need tissues?" Aboli pulled some out her back pocket. "There. I didn't know you had a dead mum. Sorry about that." She shrugged, casually, and decided they should move one. She wasn't actually sorry, but it was the appropriate thing to say, wasn't it? Aboli didn't know Islay well enough to care that deeply....but if the girl cried suddenly...well...THEN Aboli would care just a tad. That would be sad! "You should do more of the talking. She might be easier to contact that way." Did this require them to hold hands? Aboli didn't want to, but whatever. If it was part of the routine, then she would.
Islay wouldn’t have been offended by Aboli being glad she had a deceased mother to talk to – sure, it was an odd way to put it...but really, she was glad she was able to communicate with her as well. More so she was glad that she knew she was her mother. “really, you’re okay with that?” she asked and couldn’t help to hold back her smile. “Oh, her name was Ceridwen Vaughn,” she nodded a bit as she said her name, more to herself for saying her name properly.
When Aboli asked if she’d need tissues she just felt her heartwarming to the little Slytherin girl. “Maybe? Possibly, I don’t know if she’ll say anything, Aboli thank you for offering...you know, if you’re ever hurt or need someone to talk to, I’m here for you.” And she meant those few words of support. She gave her a kind smile, “thank you, honestly...i didn’t know until last year, I thought she was my aunt but it turned out I was adopted by my aunt?” she admitted even though it sounded utterly batty.
Okay, more of the talking. She was going to do this.
Standing Islay collected the spirit board and placed it between them. “I hope its actually her that comes and not some...nefarious spirit,” that was the thing about spirit boards. You never really knew who you were communicating with.
Taking a deep breath she placed their planchette in the middle of the board and placed her fingers on the wooden piece. “we call upon Ceridwen Vaughn, we would like them to come visit us, we call upon Ceridwen Vaughn we would like them to visit us, we call upon Ceridwen Vaughn we would like them to visit us” she spoke and waited a second before asking “Ceridwen Vaughn are you here?”

Oh yay! She had a partner. Naya smiled back at Jina, happy to be working with her. “Great. I guess we’d better get started then.” After Jina went to get a Ouija board for them, Naya joined her on the floor. This was going to be interesting, for sure. When her partner asked who they should talk to, the Gryffindor was unsure. She was pretty sure that she didn’t want to talk to anyone she knew, not now anyway. So who should they choose?
”Ummm. That’s a good question.” Naya thought for a moment more and then threw out some ideas. “Harry Potter? Hermione Granger? Albus Dumbledore? Too obvious? I’m mean, we should choose someone that we are really interested in hearing from.” Thoughts partner? Preferences? Anyone you’ve been wanting to talk to?

SPOILER!!: Spirit reaction for Bernie and Flora
Seeing as they weren't saying his name correctly and seemed to be not very focused the Planchette stayed still.

The planchette wasn't MOVING yet and Bernie was growing frustrated as to WHY. Was this FAKE? She almost burst out laaaaaaaaughing at Flora's insinuation that Moldy Voldy was busy on the toilet. "I bet he goes into Myrtle's loo," she whisper-giggled back. HE PROBABLY WAS BUSY! FARTING and POOPING UP A STORM! All in between OPENING AND CLOSING the Chamber of Secrets JUST FOR FUN! And what if he didn't make it to the bathroom in time? Maybe, under his spirit!bed, he had THE CHAMBER POT OF SECRETS!!!!! HEHEHEHEHE!
She almost fell over from laughing at her own thoughts again. But Professor Kitridge was popping up beside them and Bernie had been trying SO HARD to NOT lose points this class... that she swallowed her laughs until they became mere hiccups.
"Okay, HIC, Profesor," she answered solemnly, well, as solemnly as she could between hic-hic-giggles. Bernie closed her eyes one more time to picture Lord Voldemort, the man without a nose, and red eyes, and a bald head, and.... er.... why was she imagining his nostrils looking so strange?? And he was sitting on a loo, that was for sure; it was the loo in the girl's bathroom, and Bernie was, unfortunately, now picturing him conversing with the whiny ghost from the second floor girls' bathroom....did she ever go torture boys the way she cried and wailed at them, she wondered...
"Lord VoldeHICmorrrrHICrrrrt," she intoned much more seriously this time, one hand still on the planchette, eyes still closed, imagination fully running wild as though she herself were about to be possessed, "SPEAHIC TO US, SIR!"
What was Professor Kitridge even TALKING about?
Couldn't she SEE that she WAS concentrating!? Look at how TIGHT her eyes were closed! And to prove to the woman that she was concentrating, Flora opened her eyes up REAL WIDE, as WIDE AS THEY COULD GO and then SLAMMED them SHUT again. Concentration was written all over her FACE!
Of course, it probably just looked like she needed to use the toilet, but she really didn't. Although, after hearing what Bernie had said about the bathroom, she kind of did want to go and SEE.
Myrtle. And Voldemort. IN THE BATHROOM TOGETHER? That was SO FUNNY!!! "Maybe they like each other. Like, like like each other." Was it even possible for two DEAD people to fall in LIKE? Flora had no idea, but she DID know that she was going to find out either by asking Myrtle in the bathroom, or Voldemort whenever he would decide to GRACE THEM WITH HIS PRESENCE.
Somehow, she thought getting possessed would be a whole lot easier than summoning the Dark Lord.
Okay. Right. Real concentration. Don't laugh at Bernie's hiccupping. Or maybe just a few laughs at Bernie's hiccupping. HEEHEEHEE."VOLDEMORT WE NEED TO SPEAK TO YOU. VOLDEMORT WE NEED TO SPEAK TO YOU. VOLDEMORT WE NEED TO SPEAK TO YOUUU!"
SHE WAS GOING TO THROW THE PLANCHETTE IF IT DIDN'T WORK THIS TIME.

The connection between the girl and the spirit was a strong one so it was no surprise when the Planchette started to move.
SPOILER!!: Bernadette and Flora
Don't know where your post went, but it is somewhere under spoilers!
The girls were speaking correctly and the board seemed to be vibrating, was the spirit they were calling coming?
Going to push this back another 24 hours for the fun we are having before we move on!
After leaving her loo, Myrtle swooped through the pipes, looking for students from her favourite House, or her old House, or any House, to torture.
But today's entertainment was actually to be found in the Spirit Room. Were they doing necromancy in here? Myrtle hadn't attended a school sanctioned necromancy since 2068! And no one had thought to invite her to today's show?
How ruuuuuuuuuude!

"HA HA, aren't YOU a CLEVER GIRL!"
Myrtle burst through the floor, the planchette, and into the Gryffindor first year's face, where she moooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaned at her. "TOM RIDDLE, TOM RIDDLE! COME SPEAK TO US A LITTLE!"
Myrtle floated up to the ceiling next and let out the longest, highest pitched *WAIL* ever heard in this room.
"Woe is me!"
She was still being bullied over a century after her death!

"What if we tried to summon Newt Scamander?? Would fit in with the theme of the History of Magic lesson .... we would take a picture with the mini Newt with the spirit Newt ..... or maybe he wouldn't actually materialize?" Blake was kind of excited to try this now.
"I think we place our hands over it and just try to get him to come." Blake placed his hands over the board waiting to see what Tom wanted to do.

Isla could not believe she was doing this. She'd heard horror stories of people summoning the dead and getting possessed or something. She was already planning on sleeping with one eye open tonight as it was. Would Ewan consider it weird if she suddenly jumped into his lap and held on for dear life? She couldn't promise she wouldn't if weird stuff started happening.
She nodded when Ewan agreed to her idea. Queen Victoria it would be, and maybe she'd shed some light on this article and how it ended up on the floor in the Great Hall. When he nodded in return, her heart began to pound. To her, it sounded like drums being beat in her chest. She was on the verge of a panic attack but the fact that she was amongst her peers and would probably be made fun of until her graduation held her back.
Isla was really glad that Ewan was taking the lead on this. See, she knew partnering up with a seventh year had its benefits. Was she supposed to call the woman, too? When the planchette moved just a bit, Isla spoke up. "Queen Victoria, we would like you to come visit us," she said, repeating Ewan's words. Deep inside her mind, though, she was pleading.
She nearly jumped a mile when Myrtle swooped down on Ewan. They DID put respect in her name. What the heck did Myrtle want them to call her anyway?! Isla's eyebrows narrowed in annoyance. Myrtle was literally the most annoying ghost in this entire castle. Except for Peeves. He was a poltergeist, though, so that didn't count.

"She is a Muggle QUEEN!" Myrtle swooped down to the boy - a BOY! A TALL BOY! A TALL RAVENCLAW BOY! - next. "Put more respect on her name!"
He had not even said please! Myrtle let out another wail, an ear-splitting *WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO* of agony.
Wow, Flora was SO GOOD at this! She wasn't even HICcuping like Bernie! "Hehehichichichehe," the third year chuckled along again to the Voldie/Myrtle jokes. And WOW #2, Bernie wondered if it might be more helpful for her to go ommmm or something, or do a different chant or hum, if that might make---
"It's working!" Bernie almost fell over when the planchette started vibrating, popping her eyes open just in time to see the ghost come through the board.
She SCREAMED and scooted away from the thing. "FLORA, THE WRONG SPIRIT CAME OUT!"
MERLIN'S BEARD it was a real ghost though!!! Was this THE Moaning Myrtle?! Bernie had NEVER EVER spoken to her before, and for good reason. Number one, her bathroom was pretty far away from everywhere Bernie went, and number two, she kinda had a bad reputation. Wonder what THAT's like? Was it just Bernie, or did she seem angry with them? OR was she HELPING them? Bernie was going to go with that answer. This class was too good to get scared in. But also, she was a Gryffindor, so she never got scared, not even of spirits or Dark Lords or anything.
"Myrtle! Put YOUR hand on the planchette and say what you just said again!" Bernie shouted to make sure the ghost could hear her, since she was already bothering someone else again. "Come on, Flora, she likes you!" Right?

yeah, there's one thing about me that you should know________________________________ __________________________________________that I can't help from speaking my mind
Aboli nodded over at Islay. "Thanks for the offer. I don't cry much, but I will keep that in mind." It actually depended on Aboli's mood if she cried a lot or not, but Islay didn't need to know that. Aboli had APPEARANCES to keep up.
That, however, was a WHOLE lot of information Aboli hadn't asked for. It sounded quite complicated, too. "Well.......that's......unfinished and unanswered business you should probably speak to her about then!" She smiled gently and got ready to summon her. She held Islay's hands, and chanted with her. She fumbled over the name a little, but it seemed....the spirit was indeed here! They had made connection! "Looook, Islay! it's moving! Now's your chance to ask her questions!" she smiled over at the girl.

IT WAS WORKING!
The planchette was actually moving, she could FEEL it. She hadn't even thought for one second that it could have just been Bernie moving the thing, because they had been concentrating so hard on calling for Voldemort that it just HAD to be him!
SOON! Very SOON they were going to be talking to HIM. The Dark Lord. The Prince Lord of DARKNESS. Lord Voldemort himself! She was SO excited and she just couldn't WAIT until--
"AHHHHHH!"
Flora was screaming because Bernie was screaming, even though she still had her eyes shut tightly and had no idea what the WISE and BRAVE older girl was screaming about. It had to be the most terrifying thing ever, right? One eye peeked open, though. And then the other eye. And next thing she knew, she was crossed eye to ghost eye with Myrtle. She definitely was the wrong spirit.
And she sure was doing a lot of moaning. At least she did get rid of Bernie's hiccups. "You're not VOLDEMORT." Myrtle had a NOSE. But LOOK! SHE was calling for him. They were definitely in LIKE with each other. "Myrtle. Myrtle. Myrtle!" Get back here! "You won't have to cry anymore, we're gonna get Voldemort for you!" She nodded her head and glanced over to Bernie just to make sure they were still in agreement. Forget about all those questions they had planned to ask him. They were going to solve all of Moaning Myrtle's WOES!

Even though he was doing something that creeped him out and made him feel so uneasy he couldn’t quite describe it, Ewan was still focused as he called out to the old lumpy Queen so much so that he didn’t quite see the nervousness in Ilya’s face. Nope. His eyes were firmly on the planchette and his mind was focused on his voice and the way it sounded. He didn’t want to sound rude but at the same time, he also wanted to sound in charge as though he was the boss. If a spirit did come then he wanted to have the confidence to speak to it and deal with whatever happened even if he was absolutely scared stiff at the idea.
As both him and Isla got to the third and final chant, he could have swore he felt the planchette move ever so slightly and boy did it creep him out. This did not seem like the friendly ghosts around the classroom. This seemed different. No natural. But before it could move more, his concentration was snapped away from the planchette as a ghost.
It just had to be myrtle didn’t it. Why couldn’t it have been the Grey Lady instead! ”Be quiet Myrtle. I’m trying to actually call a proper ghost here”, not really caring if he upset her now. They may have been in the spirit room but this was a Hogwarts lesson. Not some kind of drop in session for attention seeking ghosts. ”Why don’t you go back to the girls toilets?” he said finally as a parting dig before returning his attention back to Isla. He may be putting respect on Queen Victoria’s name but Myrtle, he would not. He wasn’t sure why she had gotten under his skin so much. Maybe it was just because this whole thing freaking him so much.
”You ready to try again?” his eyes now on the Slytherin, actually taking in expression now. He could tell that she didn’t want to do this as much as he did but still…they had to. This wasn’t exactly an optional thing, was it? Maybe he should have asked before hand. Either way, he didn’t want to stop now. He’d heard stories of people who half summon ghosts and then haunted with a load of weird things happening and he wasn’t about to let it happen to him.
Placing his hand back on the planchette, he took another deep steadying breath and give Isla a small nod of encouragement, this time, waiting for her to begin the chant. God, he was glad Chloe was across the room because his palms were all sweaty. He felt disgusting and gross and cold as though he was ill. Not attractive attributes if he was being honest.
Fiona nodded when Claudine requested that she ask the next question. "I will do that for sure." Fiona placed two fingers on the planchette next to Claudine's. "I think saying her name together is a good method to try." At the same time as her partner, Fiona said in a soft voice, "Bellatrix Lestrange. Bellatrix Lestrange. Bellatrix Lestrange."

Did she feel that too? Claudine hardly dared to believe that a spirit was, Bellatrix Lestrange’s spirit, was there among them.
There was a momentary break in concentration as Myrtle appeared. Ugh. Must she always be that loud? Claudine pared her a glare then tried to refocus on the board. “Bellatrix Lestrange, we would like you to come visit us. Bellatrix Lestrange, we would like you to come visit us. Claudine was sure that Fiona would also do the same.
Tom was listening to Blake when he heard a voice, he turned around to see Myrtle the ghost in the room. Maybe they needed to call Ghostbusters, that would be epic.
"Or we could try and call a Ghostbuster?" Tom whispered to Blake, before he smiled and thought about having Newt in the lesson. "Yeah I agree Newt in class would be amazing."
Tom placed his hand like Blake told him and then he looked down at the floor, was they supposed to be doing something else as well or not.

Fiona could swear that the planchette had moved under her and Claudine's fingers. A brief look at her partner seemed to confirm that she wasn't imagining things. Working with her dormmate was amazing!
As Myrtle made her presence known, Fiona gritted her teeth as she saw Claudine glare at the ghost. The two of them readjusted their focus as together they chanted, “Bellatrix Lestrange, we would like you to come visit us. Bellatrix Lestrange, we would like you to come visit us. Bellatrix Lestrange, we would like you to come visit us.’’

Islay was excited to work with Aboli, really, it was a nice way to get to know the slytherin girl. “I mean, even if you don’t cry...hugs can be nice” she smiled, “but if you don’t want them I also understand, I know a lot of people that aren’t touchy-feely-at all” she shrugged and grinned at her. Still, if Aboli ever felt she could let go of pretence with her, Islay would of course offer her a shoulder to well, cry on.
Yes, it was complicated and for some reason islay was giving up the information was because, well, she felt like her mothers spirit might ask about it. Ask why she hadn’t communicated with her in any way before this. She had, after all thought she was her aunt.
Islays eyes flicked to the planchet as it moved. IT WAS MOVING, “okay...did you know about the lie that aunt Tegan told my dad?” that was a heavy question indeed but asked so subtly. Since she really didn’t want the answer. She didn’t want to know that her mother had been a part of the lie that separated her from the rest of her family. Her eyes flicked to Myrtle as she yelled and cried.
She just wanted her to stop yelling. THIS WAS DISTRACTING.

Heath was completely open to other ideas if Avalon had any, but he was pleased when she accepted his suggestion. He nodded, smiling slightly. “Thanks. I admire her too,” he replied, realizing too late that that was probably obvious. Otherwise, he wouldn't have suggested her! From what he’d read, Lily seemed like the good kind of Gryffindor like his mum and uncle: not too arrogant or aggressive, the type who would stand up to bullying, even when it came from their own house. In a way, he sort of envied her - not the whole dying young at the hands of Voldemort thing, obviously! He envied her courage.
Heath had just settled himself on the floor when Missa joined them. He looked around at the sound of her voice, nodding his approval at her joining. So, was Missa okay with summoning Lily or…? Before he had the chance to ask her, Avalon took charge. Okay, looks like they were going with his idea then.
Heath thought about what he’d ask Lily if she appeared; two main things came to mind. He remembered reading that Lily’s relationship with her sister became strained after she got her Hogwarts letter, and he wanted to know how she handled that. Maybe something she said would help him work things out with his own sister… or at least come to terms with no longer having her in his life. Most of all, he wanted to know how Lily found the courage to stand up for what’s right. It was something everyone in his family had, but he just didn’t for some reason. Every time he tried, he was scared into silence!
The more Heath thought about it, he realized that he couldn’t ask either of those questions without airing his own insecurities in front of Avalon and Missa. Not only that, but those questions sounded a little… forward. Lily might get offended and leave if he asked something like that! What was something safe that he could ask? Hmm… he supposed he could ask how she felt about being sorted in Gryffindor. Maybe that would help him settle his own mixed feelings toward the house.
Before Heath could think much more about it, Avalon’s voice jerked him out of his thoughts. “I will,” he replied when she asked who wanted to go first. It wasn’t so much that he was dying to go first. He just offered to give the girls more time to think of questions, since he already had a few of his own in mind. He placed his fingers on the planchette, concentrating on the red-haired woman he’d seen in his History of Magic book as Avalon spoke, and… nothing happened. He blinked confusedly. What were they doing wrong? Maybe it would help if he tried calling her too… two voices are better than one or something?
Heath was about to speak when loud moaning and wailing cut him off. He looked up to see Myrtle yelling at some of the other students. Uhh… okay, just gonna… go back to what he was doing. Luckily, his acting experience had trained him to be pretty good at blocking out distractions - odd things happened onstage all the time! Clearly envisioning the green-eyed redhead in his mind, Heath said, “Lily Potter, we would like you to come visit us. Lily Potter, we would like you to come visit us. Lily Potter, we would like you to come visit us.” Please?

QUOTE=Sunflower;12457662] "Hi, yeah sure!" she replied with a bright smile.
Anyone you’ve been wanting to talk to?[/QUOTE]
The people she listed might have been too obvious, but no one could deny that they were fascinating witches and wizards. Jina particularly liked and respected Hermione Granger, and ... well, she wouldn't say that she would absolutely love to talk to Granger's spirit (it was still all a bit creepy), but if she had to talk to a dead person the former Minister for Magic would be her top choice.
"I'd like to talk to Hermione Granger, if that's okay with you," she whispered back to Naya.

“Works for me. Hermione Granger it is.” Naya placed the board between Jina and herself and put the planchette on top. She placed her fingers lightly on the planchette and said to Jina, “You can ask the first question if she decides to join us.” Then she told her partner, “Ok, say it with me.”“Hermione Granger we would like you to come visit us. Hermione Granger we would like you to come visit us. Hermione Granger we would like you to come visit us.” Now they would have to wait and see if Hermione Jean Granger Weasley deemed them worthy of her presence. Hopefully she would because Naya was starting to get excited about speaking with the former Gryffindor.

Days of Potter 2023:___________________________ Which Bertie Botts Flavour Are You? You are Salt!
Myrtle was NOT going to help her fellow students call anyone else to this spirit room! "We have enough ghosts here!"
The perpetual fourteen-year-old waaaaaaaailed again, louder this time, because none of the students were giving her the attention she was seeking. They all wanted to talk to the WRONG people!
"I will NOT say Tom Riddle's OTHER name! My MURRRRRRDERER!"
Did the Gryffindors forget that Tom Riddle was the reason Myrtle was here right now?
She let out another big, whiny waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaail, working herself up to tears, all because the BOY from her OWN HOUSE told her to GO AWAY.
*SOB SOB SOB WAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIILLLLLLL*
"Bbbut Queen Victoria doesn't know anything about H-h-hhogwarts," she blubbered, fat, shiny tears rolling down her cheeks now. "It's Nearly Headless Nick who knows! And the F-fat Friar, they've seen red skies bbefore!"
But nooooooooooooooo would anyone listen to poor, moaning moping Myrtle? Neeeeeeeeeeveeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr! She floated over to the pint sized Professor for comfort. The professor definiteeeeeeeeely appreciated the spiritual presence of Moaning Myrtle blessing her class right now.
