Girls' Dorms Banner Credit: Kita "Our dormitories are in turrets off the main tower; our four-poster beds are covered in sky blue silk eiderdowns and the sound of the wind whistling around the windows is very relaxing.”- Robert Hilliard Up above a set of spiral staircase from the common room rests a set of doorways leading to the boys dorms. Each of these dorms is divided up by year with wooden plaques on each of the doors to tell you which one is which. Enter the dorm and you'll find that it's been decorated in a similar fashion to the common room below. A number of four poster beds have been placed to fit the right number of people allocated to said dorm. Beside each bed is a nightstand; at the foot of each bed, there is enough space for a trunk. The furniture is made of the same walnut wood and sky blue eiderdowns can be found here, along with silk drapes around the poster beds. Blue upholstered armchair sits near the nightstands and the same arched windows that are found in the common room can be found here as well, each giving the inhabitant a spectacular view of the grounds below. It's interesting to note that these windows often emit a soft whistling sound that is reminiscent of the whistling of the wind outside. While it may seem distracting, these sounds are often said to be relaxing and hardly noticeable after a while. These dormitories are strictly for the girls of the house only. Absolutely NO boys allowed. |
Hopefully you listened to Headmaster Scrimgeour's words during the feast and took the phrase 'make sure you get plenty of rest for your first day of classes' to heart. Bright and early, before the sun was even up, a blaring noise fills the entire castle. It is so loud that it is sure to wake any heavy sleeper. "EVERYONE IS TO REPORT TO THE QUIDDITCH PITCH FOR THE DAILY S.O.R.E. — SPECIAL OBLIGATORY RUNNING EXERCISES — IN TWENTY MINUTES," booms a gruffy voice. "THOSE WHO DO NOT SHOW UP WILL FACE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES." The sound and the message continue on repeat, only the amount of time decreases with each minute that passes by. Hurry up, throw on some running clothes, and get down to the Quidditch Pitch! |
Dizzy groaned and buried her head under her pillow. It was still dark! What was going on!? And running? Why? Running was not a thing Dizzy did. Riding a bike was better, and anyway it could wait until AFTER SUNRISE! So far, Hogwarts wasn't making a great impression on her. They never had to run at sun-up at Beauxbatons! Disgruntled, Dizzy forced herself to get up, and tossed her pillow at Runa in the bed next to her. She hardly cared about whatever consequences Headmaster whoever was shouting about, be she did care about Mama being upset with her for getting into trouble on her first day. |
It had been a long-term, but as the term kept going Chloe had decided it wasn't a horrible. She had been practicing every chance she could get and hiding from all the trouble that was going on Chloe had been getting better at her magic. She was actually feeling very confident in some of her spells now and was starting to think maybe these more strict professor weren't so horrible after all. Was her brother right? She headed up to the girl's dorm, but instead of going into the second years she went looking for some of the older girls. Maybe they would want to do something fun. Maybe they'd paint her nails. |

And no professors here at the moment. She spotted Chloe the Little lurking in the door and waved her in. "Hey, C1. What's the story, morning glory?" |

"I was just... well bored and didn't feel like going outside the dorms to find something to do. So I was... well.. hoping to find someone to hang out with and possibly do nails or makeup or something." Could she be that person, please, please, pretty please. |

"I'm bored too. So we should find an adventure to do, and since it's so hard to have adventures around the castle, we'll find an adventure right here in the dorm. How about a... fashion show?" |
Quote:
"A fashion show? That could be really fun, but what clothes would we use?" She knew Chloe had the most amazing clothes, maybe she'd get to try some of them on, maybe Chloe would do her makeup and she would look like one of the older gorgeous girls. "This is going to be so fun!" |
Quote:
Hopefully. "My clothes. Aren't you interested in seeing my clothes? My auntie is a very famous fashion designer." And she sent things to Chloe that she'd never been brave enough to wear, mostly because she didn't hardly feel like herself with them on. But little Chloe might enjoy seeing the pretty dresses and things and trying them on. "In my trunk. Go on." |

Oh poor Reese! IT WAS GOING TO BE HER CLOTHES!! OMG OMG OMG OMG The little twelve year old tried to calm down before she spoke, "But isn't it more fun to wear someone else's clothes, I mean I get to wear yours but you will wear your own too." Though she was saying this and trying to keep a straight face to show that she truly did want Chloe to have fun to, her little feet were already on the floor and she was headed to the trunk. Throwing it open she gasped as she saw on the beautiful material. |
