Boys' Dormitories Down the long corridor to the left of the Common Room are the boy's dorms. Torches on the walls light the way down the dim corridor, we don’t want any tripping now do we? |
Hopefully you listened to Headmaster Scrimgeour's words during the feast and took the phrase 'make sure you get plenty of rest for your first day of classes' to heart. Bright and early, before the sun was even up, a blaring noise fills the entire castle. It is so loud that it is sure to wake any heavy sleeper. "EVERYONE IS TO REPORT TO THE QUIDDITCH PITCH FOR THE DAILY S.O.R.E. — SPECIAL OBLIGATORY RUNNING EXERCISES — IN TWENTY MINUTES," booms a gruffy voice. "THOSE WHO DO NOT SHOW UP WILL FACE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES." The sound and the message continue on repeat, only the amount of time decreases with each minute that passes by. Hurry up, throw on some running clothes, and get down to the Quidditch Pitch! |
Anyone? ^)^ Y I K E S S S S S S Lucas luckily was used to waking up early to jog in the morning but...it was the FIRST morning back and like....he wanted to sleep in a LITTLE BIT. Not exercise today. Just get acclimated to his new lessons and stuff? But NOOOOO this new headmaster bloke (who Lucas didn't know how he FELT about) apparently...wanted them to run? Literally? What was this, an episode of My Hero Academia????? Please. Lucas collapsed back into back an covered his head with his pillow. He could take the consequences....if he were more awake to think more clearly he'd disagree. But right now...he was too tired to care. |
Mention of dormie Ryder Patrick rolled out of bed with a start. “I WILL NOT MAKE BREAKFAST!” He shouted before stopping to listen to the blaring noise again discussing their required attendance at the quidditch pitch. He was seriously considering not going. But he was quidditch captain and had to set an example. Rubbing his eyes and sitting up from the laying position he found himself after the startling noise. Glancing around noticing he was the only one awake in his dormitory. At least this far. He stood up and began walking toward his trunk pulling out his baseball apparel from the summer. “Aye, y’all get up. Get up. I don’t need him taking points on the first day or having you thrown out. I need enough people to play quidditch if we even get to play it.” With a quick tug he pulled on the shorts and a long sleeve shirt to keep away he cold of the morning and walked over to Ryder’s bed he had to make sure they were all up. Then he’d have to remember to check on the first years. “Dude Ryder get up.” |
FOR THE LOVE OF---- Ryder started, sitting bolt up in bed and tense as all get out. As much as he was used to be woken up early at home, he did not appreciated whatever loud business this was so early in the morning that was causing him a mini heart-attack. Nor did he take the new headmaster's words to heart the night before, deciding to fall back to his bed and curl under his sheets. Angry morning defiance. "Noooooo." |
Ryder and the firsties Seriously he was not looking forward to this. He was rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. He watched Ryder open his eyes and took that as good enough. “I’ll be back around in a minute Ryder. I’ve got to go check on the first years and make sure they’re up. No need for anyone to be expelled on the first day.”. His bare feet smacked against the floor as he walked over to the first year off shoot. These kids picked a great time to start at hogwarts. This guy might mean well but he was 100% certain that being up this early with threats of punishment would have scared the peeves out of him back then. He had zero confidence then. “First years! Up, up, up!” he hoped they understood this was for their own good. |
He fell silent for a moment, comfortably wrapped in his sheets and brain ready to shut right back off into sweet unconscious oblivion when he started to wake up again. This wouldn't have been a very good impression for their quidditch captain if he wanted to get on the team, to be honest. The only reason he was slowly dragging his feet out of bed with as little effort as possible, groaning all the while. Otherwise expulsion sounded great. Eyes half closed, he tugged on some sweats and grabbed his shoes, sitting down on his bed to put them on but ended up just laying back down. A moment longer of some shut-eye couldn't hurt. Five more minutes. |
Patrick scrambled around making sure everyone he could see was up. He skirted back into his dorm to find his dormie... well kind of up. He wasn’t sure if he should wake him up or not but he glanced at his watch to see they had 8 minutes to get down to the field. “Hey Ryder, cmon we have a few minutes before we could lose points.” With a quick glance at his athletic apparel but really he was checking to make sure he had on two matching shoes. That would just be tragic to not have them match. He jogged down the stairs to the common room to clear out any stragglers that may be hanging around. He did not need to start this term on a bad note. |
Just a few seconds total relaxation before he slid his eyes open again. It wasn't nearly enough. "Yea, I'm up, meetyathere..." Ryder lifted his arm to wave a bit before it fell back to the bed, feeling as though it were as heavy as a boulder. On the plus side of being in another house away from his brother, he wasn't being physically dragged out of his bed, though he still had the sense in the back of his mind that it could happen at any moment. Sliding out of his comfort zone, he grabbed his shoes and hoodie, and headed out. He'd eventually get those on as he went down to the pitch. |
Just casually posting a reply to myself/Lucas hearing the commotion Lucas still wasn't getting up. No way, Jose. He normally enjoyed the running in the morning thing but this was the first DAY BACK and he was pooped. So he was still hiding his head under his pillow, but it still didn't keep out the yelling from the prefect trying to wake the others up. Specifically, the first years, yeah? Good lord, Lucas was wondering why everyone was so compliant in something so miserable! He just prayed the prefects didn't come in HERE to wake HIM up. He was busy ignoring all this. And really...he wanted to see if he'd get punished for not partaking in forced exercise. <.< |
