Audience Seating

https://s26.postimg.cc/mlguq4vkp/aud...ing-banner.jpg
After presenting your ticket to those manning the entrance, you are quietly handed a surprisingly thick programme -- the cover featuring the play's title written in elaborate cursive weaving between the main cast and a beautiful fountain -- and are ushered inside an enormous, warmly lit theatre.

Soft music, presumably the production's main theme, instantly fills your ears as you walk past rows and rows of red seats. Your usher then stops abruptly, making a gesture toward the row you will be sitting in. Before departing to bring in others waiting outside, they remind you to look at your ticket for your seat number and tell you that the show will be starting momentarily. Taking your seat, you find yourself immediately comfortable in your plush chair and are satisfied with your view of the stage.

Currently everyone is taking their seats and getting settled in. The curtain will be opening soon!

OOC: This thread is reserved for all audience members. You may play multiple characters here.

for anyone and Alisha...

Accepting a very thick play programme for the Fountain of Fair Fortune from one of the ticket people by the entrance Laurel made her way into the enormously uplit theatre in company by her usher. Sometimes the room of requirement was extremely handy to have at your disposal like on a night like this.

Walking along the rows of red seats the blond divination professor and Slytherin Head of House clad for the night in a light green dress, was looking down at her programme and thus missed when her usher stopped causing her to collide with them with a SMACK before taking an unceremonious tumble to the floor. Quickly picking herself up from the floor Laurel quietly followed the ushers directions to her seat, trying to hide her embarrassment as she found her seat and sat down. Hopefully nobody saw her tumble.

Leo was in very good spirits as he stood just ouside the theatre with the play tickets in hand, while he waited for his wife Cassie to arrive with the snacks and refreshments. They were having a date night out without the children and he had a little surprise for his wife after the play's end. It brought back memories to be there at Hogwarts again and he wondered if Cassie thought so too. It'd be nice to see Paul again though, he was apparently the director of this play that they were going to be seeing. Eyes dropping to the tickets Leo read the play's name again out loud "Fountain of Fair Fortune? Why does that sound familiar?"

someone play with one of my kiddos please!

Even after seven years of Hogwarts, the Room of Requirement never failed to impress him with what it could provide. Today it contained a rather vast theater for a play Henry was not about to miss. In fact, he even carried a bouquet of peonies to give to Charlotte, one of the stars of the play, once the performance was finished. He had heard that was traditionally done on the opening night of a theater performance, but he also liked an excuse to bring her flowers.

He wasn't so sure about the seat he was shown to, as it seemed a little further from the stage than he had hoped, but once he sat down in the cushiony chair he found that the view was much better than he initially expected. Flipping through his program, Henry casually read about the performance and performers as he waited for the show to begin.

Even though he hadn't tried out for any of the parts in the play, Levi actually enjoyed theater and was looking forward to the show -even if his invented brand of cool and collect might not readily admit that. The fifth year Ravenclaw casually followed the usher to his seat, looking around to see if he knew anyone sitting. Still early yet, maybe. Looking through his program, he realized he hardly knew anyone in the play, at least not that well. Maybe it'd still be good though. Eh... Flynn Kowalski was in this? Unimpressed.

A play sounded fun and Noémi felt like she missed out by not auditioning. Maybe next year though, as long as she could convince her mother to come back. She was of course here to see her roommate, Jessa, in one of the starring roles. Noémi was sure her fellow Ravenclaw would be simply amazing.

As she was escorted to her seat, the nearly fifteen year old noticed she was sitting near the Divination professor. "Hello, Professor Vance!" she greeted the woman pleasantly, the light French accent still apparent in her voice. Divination was one of her favorite classes and it was nice that the teachers came out to watch.... though she hoped one of her friends would be sitting nearby too.

Andi wasn't all that into plays or anything, but she figured she didn't really have anything better to do and she also figured it was a good excuse for putting off her homework for a little while longer. Maybe there would be some cute boys in the play too, but she really didn't know anyone who was supposed to be in it. Or at least she didn't think so.

Following the usher to her seat, she frowned noting how far away her seat was to the stage. She was pretty short, okay? And what if someone tall sat in front of her? There were rows and rows of people that could potentially to that. But one she sat down, the thirteen year old noticed that she actually had a really good view. Huh. Must be the magic.

kayquilz 11-24-2017 08:57 PM

Astrea was HAPPY to see Junia perform and the whole rest of the play seemed interesting, too. She didn't currently see anyone to sit by, not even any of her roommates, but she was more concerned with SEEING JUNIA! She even had bought some flowers for her for after the show. She wondered if Junia's family was here since....yeah. All the tiny Botros babies had been pulled from school.

Sigh.

She fidgeted in her seat a bit, waiting for it to start.

There were several reasons for Michael's presence here this evening, the largest being his reluctance to miss his daughter in a starring role she'd spent the greater part of the winter break studying when she was home. Another, equally obvious reason was checking in on the welfare of his youngest who'd assured him she was fine waiting out the rest of the term.

The man was in no tremendous rush to pull her but at the same time...he didn't need anything else setting Jessa off. Merlin knew there was already enough to contend with.

Michael accepted the programme, wondering how long the play must've been to have a one this thick but the man wasn't in any damned rush so he supposed it didn't really matter. He muttered something of a thank you to the usher once they were taken to their seat, helping his granddaughter into her own before taking his. It meant a lot that Lex had opted to come. The two hadn't gotten on in the past but he was proud of the massive strides they'd made in the past few years. They were finally acting like the sisters he'd always hoped they would.

Holy kneazle why were these so THICK? Lex scowled down at the programme, trusting the usher to know her father's muttered words of gratitude went from them both because she was much too preoccupied with trying to remind herself why she'd bothered to come at all. How upset would Jessa really have been if she didn't show up? Sure, she wanted to check on her sister after, make sure she was alright in light of recent events but....maybe she should have come after, or tomorrow. Tomorrow wouldn't have been so bad.

Lex sunk into the seat by her father. She didn't know why they'd bothered to get a seat for Emm when the little girl was simply going to stand on it like she was and keep switching between the seat and her lap. "You planning to do this all show?" She asked the soon to be 3 year old, a brow raised--but of course she was. Emmerson couldn't sit still for long, a play was going to be a nightmare for them both.

Good thing she'd come prepared for plenty the little girl could do. Somehow they'd make it through the evening.

Apollo wandered into the Room of Requirement and adjusted his leather jacket so that it fit perfectly on his shoudlers, the jacket creaked as he moved, but he enjoyed the sound of it.

Usually plays were more of Sy’s thing, since she was the aspiring actor, but since Skylar was in the play as well as Flynn, he felt like he needed to be here. Moral support and all. Though.. truth be told. He wanted to be here. He wasn’t fully sure why, but whatever the reason was, here he was.

He nodded to the Usher as he showed him his seat, and he settled down into the remarkably comfy chair, her green eyes scanned the room to see if he could see his sister. Perhaps she and Charles were snuggling somewhere? He inwardly gagged, and turned to face the front, before looking down at the Program, he needed to see which characters his friends were, so he knew when to cheer.

Kalen wasn’t sitting, He was standing in the back looking things over, and adjusting light angles at the last minute, he wanted to make sure everything was perfect for this play. Everyone deserved it with what had been happening.

He pushed those thoughts from his mind and looked around the auditorium one last time.

Everything seemed to be in order and so he headed back to his spot.

Regina, as per her duty to the school, was in attendance among the crowd. Black dress, black heels, and a golden necklace were all accounted for. There was even a smile on her face, though that was more for looks than anything. Truth be told, the headmistress was more worried for the play's debut than excited about it. Though things had been rather quiet in one regard for over a month, her mind was still not at ease.

"After everything that's happened this term, here we are," she stated to her date quietly, their usher long departed. There was neutrality in her voice. She admired Paul and the casts' determination for the show to go on, though the incident that happened nearly two months ago...

It was then she casted a look over to Roderik, more or less to distract her mind. All was going to be fine.

To be totally honest, Robyn did not want to watch some silly play. Theatre just wasn't her thing. But it was her adoptive number-loving mother, constantly watching her since being hired, that insisted she attend. She had even used the school paper as a reason for her to be part of the crowd. In the end, it came down to her going on her own or them showing up together. So, there she was, on her own, out of defeat.

But someone must've put some Felix Felicis in her drink at supper. Her seat was right next to Apollo Kennedy. The Slytherin was not disappointed in his presence, considering she could have wound up next to their bimbo Head of House and Divination professor. Things could have been far worse, needless to say.

"Fancy seeing you here," the fellow fifth year said as she took her seat.

ArianaBlack 11-25-2017 04:23 AM

mentions of levi & headmistress but OPEN POST PLAY WITH US PLEASE

Yooooooooooo this was dope!!! Mateo was here for it. Not for the production, but for all the money he was gonna make for selling filmed copies of the production once he had a chance to go through his footage and adjust some of the audio settings. No where was there a sign that said 'no filming' and Mateo was taking that as his 'go-ahead'. The Slytherin kept his equipment in their respective bags, which he slung over his shoulder.

First order of business was finding a place to park and he needed premium seating for his camera. Much less interested in the orchestra, his eyes were scanning the rows of seats. He spotted a kid (Levi) who he vaguely recognized as that hot, Hufflepuff Prefect's boyfriend. What a shame, really. And while Mateo wasn't a (super) bitter person, he still sent a slight scowl the boy's way. They didn't actually know each other, but still. Kid needed to have some better control of his girl, all Mateo was sayin.

He then noticed the beautiful Regina Hawthorne and sent her his most dazzling smile and maybe a wink too. Man, if that woman was blonde Mateo would've wifed her up instantly. Instead of choosing to sit in his assigned seat, he took to setting up his tripod at the back of the auditorium in the aisle. He was about to make baaaaaaaaaaaaaank!!!

Also, did they sell concessions up in here? 'Cause the cereal bars he snuck in would not hold him over.

Mention of Snakes from Slate.

Slate was here because he had a few friends in the play. But, he was keeping a special eye out for Juni. He'd been worried about her recently, for obvious reasons, and just being here made him feel better about the situation. Not that he could help in any way if something were to happen.

But at least he'd be here and that's what mattered.

He might have also had some flowers. Because. That's what you did when you had a friend in the play.

He sent quick waves in the direction of his fellow housemates before taking a seat.

------

Clarissa scanned the audience before taking her seat. She was here to support the arts. Plus, any gathering of students was bound to have drama. She found way too much amusement out of the casual public misfortune of others. This was a trait and a hobby she would not apologize for.

sweetpinkpixie 11-25-2017 06:25 AM

just a few kidds in to start and some mentions and such ^^

This was not his scene. Hogsmeade wasn't his scene. Most things about Hogwarts in general were not his scene but he had to be here for reasons. Reasons that went beyond his obligations as an Art student - and his additions to the play were in stark contrast to those of his peers, but Jaecar hardly gave a Blast-Ended Skrewt's behind about that.

Strolling into the seating area, his hands shoved into his trouser pockets, the Gryffindor looked for a seat near the back when he heard a familiar voice (ugh, and speaking to the Divination professor. Ugh) and his feet changed course of their own accord. Then, without another word, he slid into the seat next to the familiar Ravenclaw, tugged down on the sleeves of his sweater, and kept his eyes forward.

Especially when he caught a glimpse of Astrea - fists balling up inside his pockets.

El teatro!

A part of Amaia was disappointed that she had transferred to Hogwarts midyear and therefore not had the opportunity to try out herself, but then again she had found plenty of other ways to preoccupy herself and trying to keep up with Diego's ridiculousness as well as her own budding social calendar was more than enough.

Sans her football - a rare sight indeed but had she brought it with her she would have been far too tempted to try and juggle it in her seat rather than pay attention to her classmates (particularly her dormmate, Jessa) and the production. Spotting Noémi, the Ravenclaw nearly went to sit with her so they could support together, but her attention was drawn to a certain Slytherin and her eyes twinkled with that eager sheen that always seemed to come over whenever she spotted him. "Hola, Mateo," she grinned as she slid up behind him and gave him a an affectionate hug around the neck from behind before noticing his tripod. "What is all THIS for?" Although that was rather obvious, she was not clueless to these sorts of things. "Are you the official cameraman for the production? Did you also take head shots of the cast for the program? Are you going to upload this all online to your vlog too? OH! You know...you should have SEVERAL cameras...for multiple angles...and then you can splice together the best cuts of things and look even more professional," she rambled on, arms still around his neck as she gently swaaaaaaayed back and forth.

Oh. And there was Apollo! She waved in his general direction. Thought of him to hand out roses on Valentine's Day, ulterior motives or not. She still had hers on her desk back in her dorm, charmed to last.

Maybe she could find one of her boy toys and pull them into the back row to sit and snog during this whole play to pass the time. Technically she was still in attendance.

Scanning the rows to see who the lucky receiver would be (Apollo? Hmmmm.....), she spotted instead that unfortunate Gryffindor girl and...well....hmmm...she supposed that could work too since getting that one all riled up was FUN - even if the Slytherin was still convinced that this one needed a Marauder's Map to figure anything out. Sitting down next to her and crossing her legs all laaaaaaaaady like because mini skirt, she turned her bleached blonde head towards Astrea and grinned oh-so-sweetly. Laurel was glad and full of admiration for Paul, her other colleagues and the students in the plays casts determination to see it through to the end. She had read the future many times for the play and it had always been a rosey debut. Laurel really hoped that that prediction would be TRUE. The last incident had happened a month ago now.

She was about to dip her head into the programme and refresh her memory about the first act of the play when one of her top students slipped into one of the seats next to her. Turning to flash a smile at the fifth year Professor Vance said "Good evening Noémi, are you excited to see the play?"

When a certain Gryffindor boy sat down into the seat next to Noémi without adressing either the girl or herself Laurel frowned and greeted. "Hello Jaecar, is some of your artwork on display tonight?"

Laurel took note of Regina's presence the moment the woman entered the seating area with Roderik. It was hard not to notice the headmistress since she always seemed to light up a room. Raising a hand Laurel waved and smiled to her boss to show that she was there and on the alert. Now where was Kay she wanted her bestie to see the play with her.

Kolyander 11-25-2017 05:09 PM

Just these two to start... anyone can claim them :D

After months of preparations from both student and staff alike, the day of the play had finally arrived. With all that had been going on a few months earlier, Camilla wasn't sure if the play was going to take place. She was glad that it was, the students deserved this after all their hard work. It was going to be so nice watching Emmeline up there on the stage, she was very proud of the young girl. She was proud of them all!

After receiving her program to the show, Cami looked for her seat having decided that would be the best thing to do first. Once she had found her seat she settled herself down, brown eyes scanning the large seating area for her colleagues or any others she might know.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hadleigh smiled warmly as she accepted the rather thick program, adjusting Nova in her arms. "Look at this thing... it's huge," she laughed passing the program to Frankie. "Much larger than I thought for a school play." Really how many acts was this going to be? Hopefully the seven month old in her arms wouldn't act up and they would be able to see the entire show.
"Any idea where our seats are?" The brunette glanced at her husband before letting her gaze sweep over the area. As many many times as she had been in the Room of Requirement while she was a student here the room always managed to amaze her.
Astrea watched as the pretty Slytherin took a seat next to her. "Oh...um..hi Sachiko. I like your blonde hair. And thank you." That was a huge compliment from SACHI. What a night, really.
She snorted at her comment. "These are for Junia. Not you. Her debut to the acting world!" And Junia might not think her part is big, but to Astrea, she was the world. And so....yeah. Junia was the most important part! Jessa, too, who actually had a main part....her cheeks flushed just thinking about the girl. She wondered if anyone else she knew would come...Ethan? Levi? Sam? Eh. But she was glad to have company, even if it was Sachiko. "IF you like jewelry, though, I might not be the girl for you, babe," she winked.
It was hard not to be concerned about this play, especially after all the things that had happened recently. He half hoped that the show wouldn’t go on, just because it seemed like the safer option - a thought that would make his teenage self cringe. But this concerned the lives of the students; it was hard not to feel slightly worried all the same.
Was that...... Laurel? An instant smile spread across his face as he gave her a wave before turning to Regina again. "Here we are," he said softly, settling into his seat, "It’s been a difficult road. I’m surprised that this is still happening, considering everything." She would, hopefully, understand what he was talking about. It was what she was referring to as well, after all. "On the bright side: this means that the term is nearly over." She had to have plans she was looking forward to, even if it was to not talk to an underage student until the 1st of September.
And speaking of student, there was one (Mateo) looking their way. Actually, looking towards Regina with the air of someone who clearly had a lot of self-confidence about them. Amused, Hirsch smirked slightly and glanced over at the stage as the play begun. Regina was definitely going to hear about this.
While he waited for the play to start, Levi read a little more of the program. Or it would be more accurate to say that he read it cover to cover now and was getting bored. When was this thing starting? And where was Etta or literally any of his roommates?
He first glanced up at the stage and then around at the seats, looking for anyone he knew and liked. It was then that he caught sight of some boy scowling at him. Who even was he? No one Levi knew, so who did he think he was giving him a look like that? In return, the Ravenclaw gave him a bright smile and obscene gesture before leaning back in his seat and turning his eyes back to the stage. Loser.
"I've never seen a performance of this story, have you?" She knew the story of course, what young witch didn't, but she was looking forward to actually seeing it live.
Not that she minded conversing with a teacher, especially one as nice as Professor Vance, but the Ravenclaw did still hope that one of her friends would show up soon too. Taking a moment to look around for whoever else might be arriving before the show, Noémi caught sight of Mateo setting up a camera. She watched him a moment, realizing that she had never heard from him again after that date they had. She had rather enjoyed herself, but couldn't help wondering if he didn't, or maybe he just didn't like her... which was totally fine too! she told herself. She had only signed up for that dating thing to meet some people and make some friends since she was new here. And... she had accomplished that, right?
She noticed too, that Amaia seemed awfully familiar with him, and she watched them for a moment. She supposed she shouldn't be surprised - her dormmate was so vibrant and beautiful. Who wouldn't like her? Noémi sent a bright smile and finger wiggle her way, then glanced back at the program on her lap again, idly flipping through the pages. She really needed to get her insecurity in check.
She wasn't really reading her program, more like trying to keep busy, when she felt a presence sit beside her. Looking up, she was somewhat surprised to see the Gryffindor in the seat next to her. But it was a pleasant surprise. "Oh! Jaecar... hi," she said, offering him a warm smile. She did notice that he hadn't exactly greeted her, nor was looking at her, and she wasn't exactly sure how to take that. But it didn't escape the fourth year's notice that he had chosen to sit next to her when he could have sat elsewhere, and she was rather pleased by that thought. "Do you like the performing arts also?" She knew that he had quite the affinity for visual arts, but often people liked a variety of the arts. "I kind of feel like I missed out by not auditioning." But she enjoyed watching too.
Free for anyone!
It was nice to finally have a day off for a change. Even better that said day off afforded her the chance to come and check on Ronan in person, even if it was from a distance. She knew he kept saying he was fine in his letters, but reading it and seeing it for herself were two different things. Plus, the news she had heard coming from Hogwarts was particularly worrisome and had her in 'mama bear' mode.
Anyway, Roxanne took a program from the usher with a 'thank you' and found her seat amongst the other adults in the room. Of which there was oddly few of. Hmm....
'Oh well, not my problem', she thought, opening her program and beginning to read.
Hiii to the ones Vivi knows, but open post! ^_^
Vivian was a total stage friend. When three of your dormies and loads of your other friends were actual stars for the play, who wouldn't be?
After presenting her ticket, the prefect was a little confused when a really thick brochure of some sort was given to her. It took her a while to realise that it was just a copy of the programme for tonight's show. Nonetheless, she really admired the design. Pretty, pretty.
Oh! And she was being ushered, too. Kinda cool. The blond allowed herself to be escorted to her seat, her eyes scanning the audience for familiar friends. The fifteen year old spotted a couple of them, some of them being people who weren't even at Hogwarts anymore. Honestly, it made Vivian a little hyped. "Good evening, Professor Vance," she said as she passed by. Other staff members (the Headmistress, Professor Kennedy, Professor Hirsch) got greetings as well.
... Was that Miss Hady? Vivian's eyes widened at the sight of the former she-snake, and the blond waved her hand enthusiastically at her, Sir Frankie, and ickle Nova. Cutie! It felt like one big reunion of former Hogwarts students in here. Her fellow fifth year snakeys, Apollo and Robyn, got tiny waves and smiles as well.
Vivian thanked the usher once she reached her seat, offering a smile too, before she watched him walk away. Then she took a seat and opened her pretty programme. Distraction before the start of the play, of course.
But it was her adoptive number-loving mother, constantly watching her since being hired, that insisted she attend. She had even used the school paper as a reason for her to be part of the crowd. In the end, it came down to her going on her own or them showing up together. So, there she was, on her own, out of defeat.
But someone must've put some Felix Felicis in her drink at supper. Her seat was right next to Apollo Kennedy. The Slytherin was not disappointed in his presence, considering she could have wound up next to their bimbo Head of House and Divination professor. Things could have been far worse, needless to say.
"Fancy seeing you here," the fellow fifth year said as she took her seat.
Apollo raised his eyes from his programme when he saw who had been seated next to him. Truth be told he had been sort of worried about his potential seat mate. What if it had been a Professor? That would mean he would have to be on his best behavior.. and really who wanted to do that.
So he was instantly relieved when he saw Robyn being seated next to him, and a slight smirk made its way over his lips. “Didn’t expect to see you here.” He said with an amused grin, plays didn’t seem to be her scene at all. Nor his, if he was honest.. but he had to support the dormmate and the friend..
Wasn’t he such a good person?
Vivian’s wave caught the corner of his eye and he nodded back at her, noticing as his head was turned that Amaia had waved as well. A smile and a head nod went her way, before he turned back fully to the girl next to him.
“So either you got dragged here, or you are supporting our fellow snakes. He said as he raised an eyebrow at her. Hoping he was right in his guesses.
He first glanced up at the stage and then around at the seats, looking for anyone he knew and liked. It was then that he caught sight of some boy scowling at him. Who even was he? No one Levi knew, so who did he think he was giving him a look like that? In return, the Ravenclaw gave him a bright smile and obscene gesture before leaning back in his seat and turning his eyes back to the stage. Loser.
The Slytherin rolled his eyes at Levi’s antics before continuing his way up the aisle. It probably wasn’t the best idea to get under the dude’s skin since neither of them really knew each other at all. But Mateo was still bitter that Etta still went around flirting with everyone and their mother when she was clearly whipped. Levi needed to control that. It just perpetuated all sorts of false hope. Totally unfair.
Mateo continued up the aisle, admittedly looking over at their fit Headmistress for a few seconds longer than he should’ve, but he was perfectly aware that the DADA dude saw him Yeet. Let’s be real, Hirsch probably wanted to wife her up too. Mateo called dibs tho, for the record.
A part of Amaia was disappointed that she had transferred to Hogwarts midyear and therefore not had the opportunity to try out herself, but then again she had found plenty of other ways to preoccupy herself and trying to keep up with Diego's ridiculousness as well as her own budding social calendar was more than enough.
Sans her football - a rare sight indeed but had she brought it with her she would have been far too tempted to try and juggle it in her seat rather than pay attention to her classmates (particularly her dormmate, Jessa) and the production. Spotting Noémi, the Ravenclaw nearly went to sit with her so they could support together, but her attention was drawn to a certain Slytherin and her eyes twinkled with that eager sheen that always seemed to come over whenever she spotted him. "Hola, Mateo," she grinned as she slid up behind him and gave him a an affectionate hug around the neck from behind before noticing his tripod. "What is all THIS for?" Although that was rather obvious, she was not clueless to these sorts of things. "Are you the official cameraman for the production? Did you also take head shots of the cast for the program? Are you going to upload this all online to your vlog too? OH! You know...you should have SEVERAL cameras...for multiple angles...and then you can splice together the best cuts of things and look even more professional," she rambled on, arms still around his neck as she gently swaaaaaaayed back and forth.
Oh. And there was Apollo! She waved in his general direction. Thought of him to hand out roses on Valentine's Day, ulterior motives or not. She still had hers on her desk back in her dorm, charmed to last.
She watched him a moment, realizing that she had never heard from him again after that date they had. She had rather enjoyed herself, but couldn't help wondering if he didn't, or maybe he just didn't like her... which was totally fine too! she told herself. While Mateo was busy setting up his tripod, it seemed like the auditorium was starting to fill up. The Slytherin vaguely wondered if Misha was gonna show up at some point, seeing as his supposed tonsil-hockey partner / tutor had a pretty hefty part in the play. Tbh if Misha didn’t show, ‘Teo would sell him a copy of the production for the low cost of you’re-family-so-you-ought-to-pay-more-to-support. Heh.
With his tripod now set up, he worked on twisting the quick release plate onto his camera so that he could slide the DSLR into place. Fortunately he had just finished setting up when he heard his name being called, but before he could turn around to see who it was (though the Spanish was a pretty easy giveaway), his neck was being hugged and he couldn’t exactly sneak a peak. “Amaia, sup?!” he smiled, trying to play it off as if he were totally cool and way used to girl’s being this touchy-feely with him.
Before he could get to answering her first question, she went into a rapid, spitfire round of more AND then some. He laughed, letting his body move from side-to-side with hers as she swayed. “Totally,” he may have lied, but how lame would it be if he had to admit to being the UNofficial cameraman?! Myers didn’t think to ask him, which was lame af anyways, but Mateo was cool with it ‘cause it meant he could sell his copies for profit (which was a liberty he probably wouldn’t be afforded had this been an official endeavor). “Nah, I’m just the film guy.” That sounded like a perfectly reasonable and understandable excuse for the fact that he didn’t take headshots… Yeah? “Whoah, whoaaah, slow down, chica!” he laughed.
“I’m selling copies. See the old guy down there?” He pointed to some man who was probably the father of someone or another. “They’re suckers for these things," parents loved any memorabilia of their children’s glory days. Mateo was just here to exploit that for cold, hard cash. "Wanna sit back here and keep me company?"
Amaia’s arms were still wrapped around him when he made eye contact with Noémi, who he def forgot to hit up after their date. Y i k e. It really wasn’t his fault tho, he was trash at this ish. The feelings department was more of Misha’s thing (even though Mateo was too much of a wimp to admit it). His cheeks went slightly red in embarrassment, but he did take the awkward, uncomfy moment to send her a brief smile and wave. Maybe he’d try to catch her after the play and explain (a partial truth?). But right now he couldn’t really go off and talk to her because a) all of his equipment was here and b) a pretty girl had her arms all over him and he’d be an idiot to mess that up.
Walking along the rows of red seats the blond divination professor and Slytherin Head of House clad for the night in a light green dress, was looking down at her programme and thus missed when her usher stopped causing her to collide with them with a SMACK before taking an unceremonious tumble to the floor. Quickly picking herself up from the floor Laurel quietly followed the ushers directions to her seat, trying to hide her embarrassment as she found her seat and sat down. Hopefully nobody saw her tumble.
Leo was in very good spirits as he stood just ouside the theatre with the play tickets in hand, while he waited for his wife Cassie to arrive with the snacks and refreshments. They were having a date night out without the children and he had a little surprise for his wife after the play's end. It brought back memories to be there at Hogwarts again and he wondered if Cassie thought so too. It'd be nice to see Paul again though, he was apparently the director of this play that they were going to be seeing. Eyes dropping to the tickets Leo read the play's name again out loud "Fountain of Fair Fortune? Why does that sound familiar?"
Talking, yes she was talking lots. This was SOOOOOOOOOOOO exciting and Cassie was soooooooo excited to be back.
She was snapping like crazy and talking to everyone she saw. How amazing was it to be back and to be watching a play? The now head of the secondary school was dressed in her signature color and she was just beaming.
Having a date night from her own children just to watch the children of Hogwarts was priceless.
Finding her husband she grinned and gave him a quick kiss. "Because Hogwarts has done this one before. It didn't end well though, but this time will be different." She heard his words as she had come up beside him so she thought she'd chime in.
"Shall we find our seats?"
Was he a proud father? Well, he wanted to be but after his daughter was cursed not that long ago Julien couldn't be the proud father because the protective father wouldn't let him. He had gotten his tickets and had Sundae's hand as they walked to find their seats. He looked around smiling at some of the students he did recognize.
He wasn't sure if Sundea wanted any snacks before the play started, but he was too worried something was going to happen to his daughter again he just wanted to find his seat. Though he did see a certain slytherin boy (slate) that he nodded towards. He had been around more lately and Julien wasn't sure how he felt about it all, but Sundae assured him it was all fine. So he would trust her... for now.
Come play?
Well then. It was finally time to come and review the Hogwarts' production of The Fountain of Fair Fortune. Her notepad and quill were already out from talking to people in the foyer, and the Daily Prophet reporter took some notes about the orchestral arrangement ("an interesting theme, though feasibly overpowering depending on the actors' stage presence") whilst she waited for the usher to take her from her seat.
Once there, she was pleasantly surprised to find herself as central as one could get in the theatre, which was hopeful for both the view of the stage, and the acoustics. If these youngsters knew how to project, at least. And now her attention turned to the overly large programme the usher had given her, possibly better used as a doorstop than as gentle introduction to the cast. She flicked through it idly, already recognising some of the faces and names from interviews previously. She was much more interested in what was about to unfold on stage.
UGH. Whatever.
Examining her nails as she sauntered in, Sachiko didn't know what had possessed her to come. Attention was going to be elsewhere and she hadn't even made the cut for this STUPID play because of her behavior or some other load of dragon dung excuse. Whatever. Maybe she could find one of her boy toys and pull them into the back row to sit and snog during this whole play to pass the time. Technically she was still in attendance.
Scanning the rows to see who the lucky receiver would be (Apollo? Hmmmm.....), she spotted instead that unfortunate Gryffindor girl and...well....hmmm...she supposed that could work too since getting that one all riled up was FUN - even if the Slytherin was still convinced that this one needed a Marauder's Map to figure anything out. Sitting down next to her and crossing her legs all laaaaaaaaady like because mini skirt, she turned her bleached blonde head towards Astrea and grinned oh-so-sweetly. "I prefer jewelry to flowers if you are trying to flirt with me." Just saying. "Your nails don't look terrible today. Good for you."
She snorted at her comment. "These are for Junia. Not you. Her debut to the acting world!" And Junia might not think her part is big, but to Astrea, she was the world. And so....yeah. Junia was the most important part! Jessa, too, who actually had a main part....her cheeks flushed just thinking about the girl. She wondered if anyone else she knew would come...Ethan? Levi? Sam? Eh. But she was glad to have company, even if it was Sachiko. "IF you like jewelry, though, I might not be the girl for you, babe," she winked.
It hadn't been planned, as far as she knew at least, but Sam couldn't help but let a small smile onto her face as she was led to her seat. She'd been nervous about coming, given what had happened the last time she'd been in the Room of Requirement in this orientation, but the want to support her friends amongst the cast had won out. It was fortuitous indeed that she'd ended up with the seat next to Astrea, the person who'd help her see past the guilt she'd felt.
"Hey, Ast. They're pretty," she greeted the Gryffindor with a smile, nodding at the flowers. "Those for Junia?" And an eyebrow was soon raised at the Slytherin, Sam's jaw setting slightly. "She bothering you?"
Sundae knew one thing, she didn’t want to miss Juni’s play. And she wouldn’t miss it for the world. She had gotten pretty close to Julien’s daughter in the past few years since she had ended up in their lives. Some good things so bad things.
In that time she had also gotten very close to Julien too. Clearly. She smiled as they made there way to their seats. ”Here we are.” She caught that nod from Julien to Juni’s friend Slate. Giving Julien a look like see it’s okay. She waved at him. She wasn’t sure but she had a inkling that those flowers were for a certain girl in the play. Call it a mother's intuition.
Eno remembered the last time he was in this room it was last year for the Science Club or whatever they called it. He did learn something from it but mostly it was awkward. At least it was with people he knew. Ok back to this. Why was he at a play? Well....he knew a couple people in it so maybe he wanted to see if they would be good or something.
Good reason right?
Anyway he was going to find a seat away from his brother
That would be a good start
Mercy was for lack of a better word bored. Bored enough to want to see a play and it sounded better than staying in her dorm reading, wandering the castle. Which lately she has been doing less of since this year has been not the greatest for her. Friends are left and she still here. She still wished she could have stayed at the Stemp House and just learned there. The one positive is she had never been in this room before so it was interesting to look around. Can't believe one room can make all this happen or did the Professors help in any way.
Mercy looked around at everyone here and the thought of walking up to people and talking did not sound nice right now or really ever.
Best be by herself and find a seat
Zellanna 11-27-2017 01:30 AM
It had been a long time since Armand had been at Hogwarts, and Slade had never been here at all, so it was up to Armand to help his son find their way around this castle. But, eventually they made their way up to the Seventh Floor and to the makeshift theater. Armand had told the children several stories about Hogwarts, both from his time as a student and as a professor. Probably the reason Kyle had decided to come here, after all. Armand looked around for anyone familiar. He knew some of his student had children about the right age now, and would likely be here.
Slade wasn't sure what to make of the castle, and only followed his father around obediently. He wasn't there to sight-see after all, even though he did have a certain amount of appreciation for the place. No, he was here to see his baby brother perform in a play. It was too bad their other siblings couldn't make the performance, but he would just have to tell them about it afterward. Slade looked at the program, spotting Kyle's name. He smiled softly. It was a rare touch of emotion that he allowed for his family.
Slate sent a wave in the direction of Juni's dad and Juni's not!mom. That was okay right? He shifted the flowers awkwardly in his lap. Sure, he'd been over to her house plenty of times over break, it was a bit different to see them here, at school.
He was also pretty sure that they saw the flowers.
