Homework sucked. Maybe it was the fact that she was in a different country and had different teachers, but it seemed to Felicity that she was getting a ton more at Hogwarts. Surely the Ilvermorny students were getting taught by Moxley and the others whilst they were over here, yeah? So could she go and join in on their lessons, please? Would be very much appreciated.

Lucy considered herself so lucky right now. The only Charms homework she had was to read a chapter. Just one! And no practicing, or essays, or anything! Reading was easy.

She took her textbook with her to the comfy part of the library, and settled in to get her homework done.

But..it was easy to get distracted here.

It rained a lot, here, Felicity reflected as her daydreaming took her to the summer back home. And not just at Hogwarts, either: Britain in general, from what she'd experienced of it, was wet too much of the time. She was already planning on asking her parents if she could go home over the summer, rather than stay in London, but she could already sense that they would say no.

The Thunderbird (for that was what she'd always be, Slytherin or not) was pulled from her thoughts as another girl sat near her. Guiltily (for as if the other girl really cared what Felicity was doing), she pulled her homework towards her and picked up a quill, offering the brunette a smile.

So this was down time. How glorious it was. Seriously it was. She had truly thought that her sixth year would be much calmer and less stressful than her OWL year, but really, it was proving to be quite a wild ride thus far. Although, now she was sitting there with her feet pulled up underneath herself, a book on her lap, but to be honest, she was not paying it much mind at the moment. Not that it wasn't interesting, because it was.

She just found herself looking out the window over the grounds at the moment. Letting her mind wander a bit she propped her chin in her hand and smiled softly as she thought of her summer away with Casper. That had been a lovely time indeed.

And distracted she was. Not just by the view out the window, or the rain dripping down the pane, but the blonde that was sitting there. The truly gorgeous blonde.

Lucy'd seen her around lately. She must be new because there was no other way Lucy wouldn't have noticed her until just this term. There was no way she'd miss that. Floored, she was.

Especially when she looked at her and smiled...!!! Ajdfkalkfjdlsk!!!

Lucy smiled back...and...wondered if she should go talk to her? Or just...yeah. Yeah. "Hi," she said, quietly but audibly, from her seat.

Even though he didn't have OWLs this year, Henry didn't think this year was any less busy than the last. He had pretty much substituted the extra studying for his prefect duties, plus now classes seemed to be a little harder at NEWT level, which he supposed was the way it should be. And even though he normally avoided the library unless he really had to be there, Henry found need for a specialized book for some extra class research, so here he was.

He was just on his way to the bookshelves further back in the library when he spotted Dora sitting over by the windows and he veered his path to head over by her. He was curious about how she was dealing with being selected as one of the Hogwarts champions, plus he hadn't talked to her in a little while.

"Dora!" He greeted her with some enthusiasm, though it was muted to keep his voice soft being in the library. "Hey, how's it going? Preparing for your challenges?" It was just a guess, but maybe that was what the book on her lap was about. If he had been selected, he was pretty sure it would be on his mind all the time.

Dora hadn't heard him approaching, but as soon as Henry's voice cut through the air she started a bit. This, of course, sent her book crashing to the floor. Why did everything sound so amplified inside the library, though?! A smile crept across her features, though.

Looking up at him she looked a bit embarrassed by her reaction, but quickly took out her wand and summoned her book back. "Hey Henry!" And how was it going? She actually paused and thought about it for a few moments before answering...

"Stressed out. A little worried. Not scared, though. " Was that descriptive enough? Cause she felt all that right now, dude. Motioning toward the other chair she smiled and nodded. "Trying to. It's kind of difficult not knowing what we're facing, though. And hey I was rooting for you, man"

Not to say that Carl wasn't cool and all, but Henry was her friend. But part of her was glad he wasn't, because she was sure she'd lose if Henry was competing. He was hella brilliant. "I've not been around much. How's everything with you? " She'd welcome not talking about her being chosen for a bit.

Because, she didn't know the girl, but the area was very quiet - devoid of people other than them, so maybe Flick should have assumed sooner that the greeting was directed at her. It made her feel a bit stupid, and she forced herself to keep her eyes on the girl, and not resort back to the 'looking over her shoulder because you can't possibly be talking to me' movement that was happening way too often at this school. People were friendlier than she imagined.

Oh, whoops. Henry hadn't meant to startle Dora. And even though he tried to be quiet considering they were in the library, her mind must have been elsewhere for her to start like that when he spoke.

"Oh, sorry," he chuckled. "I didn't mean to sneak up on you." He started to reach for her fallen book, but stopped when she summoned it back to her. He could understand her feeling that way about the competition though, and he nodded as he took the seat next to her. "Yeah, I get that. It would be nice if they'd at least give you some idea of what the challenges would entail." But maybe they thought it was more fair this way. Or put the contestants on equal footing, or something like that.

And he shrugged a bit as she continued. "I'll admit I was a little disappointed that I wasn't chosen, but I'm sure Carl will do a great job for Hufflepuff. Maybe it's good I wasn't chosen anyway." After the events of last term, of course. And as for him? "Oh things have been great. I certainly can't complain... Really glad to be done with OWLs, you know? But I can't say this term has really been less busy.." He'd guess she'd say the same too, especially since she had the competition to prepare for.

Oliver had been right: it was almost like it was a prerequisite to be attractive in order to attend Hogwarts. Of course, Felicity had been told her whole life how pretty she was, and she'd never been entirely devoid of belief in the fact, but sometimes she did look at other girls and wonder why she wasn't that pretty.

Like this girl? How was her hair not frizzy? And was she just really good at make up, or was her skin actually that clear? And the way she was smiling at her, it just made Felicity feel even more self conscious, and she raised a hand to smooth her ponytail.

At the question, she nodded in response. "Charms essay."

Her mind was indeed elsewhere. And aggressively so. Lol.

"You didn't sneak. I was just kind of... in my own little world," she admitted with a shrug and a smile. No use lying about it, right? It was likely obvious anyway. Heh. "Yeah, that's the worst part. I have been reading about the Tri Wizard tournament and other tournaments held at Hogwarts, period. It seems like this one is really... not giving us much to build on like others. It's frustrating." But luckily she was a Gryffindor, which meant she was great at thinking on her feet. Sometimes it was as if she didn't think AT ALL before doing stuff... Which wasn't always a good thing.

"Yeah. I was hoping for a quiet year. I knew NEWT level classes would be harder, but MAN. This competition has kind of taken over my life right now." Not that she was complaining. Just giving the facts. Heh. "I hardly get to see Casper unless I have my nose stuck in a book or a stack of parchment." It was wreaking havoc on her love life. LOVE LIFE.

Love. She was in love with Casper Greenwood.

MAN.

Oh. Well, that was a coincidence. Coincidences seemed rife in this Castle. Felicity pushed that thought away from her head as weird, before smiling at the girl. "Oh, cool." Maybe she could help her? Because as of right now, Flick was a little clueless. "What're you working on?" she asked, at precisely the same moment that she was also asked a question.

It made her giggle, a slight pink overtaking her cheeks. "Sorry. It's... the Banishing Charm."

Yeah, he figured. Dora seemed like she was in her own little world and Henry could only imagine what she was thinking about. He was sure he would have been the same way if he had been chosen as a Hogwarts champion, his mind constantly inventing scenarios and wondering what the challenges would entail. It would probably be like preparing for OWLs all over again except not really having any idea what would be on the test.

"I guess maybe that's the way those types of challenges go though, so they can see who really can think on their toes." Not that he necessarily thought the element of surprise made for better competitors. "I don't think they really told the Tri-Wizard competitors much about what their challenges were either, did they?" He wasn't completely sure because he wasn't a big history reader, but he did know a little bit about Cedric Diggory as a historical figure from Hufflepuff.

Henry nodded, knowing he'd feel the same way. "Well, if nothing else, maybe this extra studying or preparing or whatever else you're doing to get ready for the challenges, maybe it will help you feel more prepared for NEWTs when we do take them." Even if it was still over another year away. "Maybe Casper wouldn't mind helping you get prepared, like how we had study groups last year?" Even if it was just the two of them, it might help with them seeing each other more and not feeling as busy. Not that studying was exceptionally romantic or anything.

"Oh things are going great," he grinned, happy to talk about his relationship with Char. Couldn't be happier, really. "It's been a good term so far." Meaning no threats of monsters to kidnap anyone, plus no stressing over OWLs, so he could focus more on what he wanted. "We should go on a double date sometime." Maybe next Hogsmeade weekend.

"I don't think they gave them any information about the challenges, no. But they got clues to work out so they could get to their next place or something like that. But seeing as there has not been one of these particular tournament things... I can't see what they did in the past, ya know?" Maybe he was onto something about the thinking on their toes, bit though. Maybe. It would kind of prove who was more... worthy or some such since they seemed to have thrown that word around a bit. A word that Dora, personally, didn't have much use for.


"That's true I guess. So long as I can concentrate on classwork, too." And the mention of Casper sent her all heart eyed again. Seriously, that boy... HER BOY. "Well... I don't know that we would get much work done," she said with a giggle. Because they would like be staring at eachother all love stricken like. Ahem. She was completely besotted with him, after all. "Are you finding your NEWT level classes pretty doable? I mean, they are harder, but not unbearable are they?"

Smiles! Henry got them. She liked that he was so happy and so was Char, ya know. Two people she liked were happy! YAY! And what was this? A double date? The blonde cocked her head to the side as she let it play out in her mind. Not too awkward. "I'll mention it to him, yeah. I am avoiding Hogsmeade for the time, but I could definitely make an exception for you lot," she agreed with a nod. "So what do you think of all of these AMericans around here?"

"I've got reading. The chapter on conjuring." Which she was really looking forward to learning about.

Kalen was walking though the library, just moving here and there making sure no students were asleep, and therefore in need of some freckles or different colored hair..

Everyone seemed to be wide awake though and a few people were talking in hushed voices.. Yes yes, he approved.

Kalen nodded to the Hufflepuff Prefect and the Gryffindor IMPS champion as he strolled by, and then gave a smile to the two girls who were also having a conversation nearby.

Everything seemed to be in order so Kalen kept walking, if anyone needed him though, he was around..

He picked up a few stray books that had been left out and he gave his wand a flick and they started to follow along behind him as he walked around.

It was one of those days that Olly just wanted to spend a quiet afternoon in the library. Those sorts of days did not happen very often. Olly was really never one for sitting quietly. Only sometimes. For some reason he just felt more relaxed than normal today. He decided to take advantage of that and get some homework done. Do some studying. When he got to the library he sat himself down in one of the comfiest chairs in the library and took out a book. He was a content Oliver.

Felicity almost thanked Merlin aloud that the other girl was blushing, too. It made her feel like way less of an idiot, and when the apologies were also practically spoken together, she joined in the brunettes laughter.

"Erm..." Felicity trailed with a shrug, letting her eyes fall to her blank parchment. "My name?" She offered a small smile in place of a laugh, because although amused, she wasn't too impressed with her own work ethic right now. "You're lucky," the Slytherin added, thinking that although conjuring was obviously much harder, reading was basically a walk in the park compared with an essay.

Ava was not such a reading person. It's more like her twin brother's thing.

But why was she here, by the way? Well, thanks to her procrastination habit. She had some homework due this week and none of them were done. Common room wasn't such a good place for doing homework because there was so many distractions. So she preferred to go to library instead. Not to mention that Ava could get the books that would help her for this homework.

Grabbing some ancient runes references, the Gryffindor headed to the chairs nearby the window. "Oliver!" She saw the Slytherin prefect and decided to join him. "Getting stuck with the homework too?"

Olly was deep into his Potions essay when Ava arrived. He actually didn't notice her approaching because he was so focused. Potions was one of his favorite subjects so it wasn't too hard for him to get lost in the work, even when it was just writing and not actual potion making. He jumped when he heard a voice so close to him and looked up to see where it was coming from. When he noticed that it was Ava he smiled at his friend and waved for her to sit by him, which it seemed like she was already doing.

"Yeah, I have a bit to catch up on. You too? Been procrastinating?" He was only teasing a little bit. He definitely couldn't really judge considering he was doing the same. "It's nice and quiet in here today."

"Nope, actually I'm doing this for fun." She said in sarcastic tone. Obviously her purpose was to mess with him. Who on earth doing homework just for fun? The Gryffindor bet 200% that even a Ravenclaw wouldn't do that, with Teddy Burton in exception maybe. "It's ancient rune and yeah... I think I've been ignoring for quiet a long time and it's due this week." Bad habit, she knew.

Ava grabbed a textbook and searched about healing runes. "What are you doing there?" She squinted peeking on what the Slytherin prefect did. Potions? Ah, thankfully she had finished that one yesterday.

Haha, Ava. Olly knew sarcasm when he heard it and that was definitely sarcasm. It wasn't completely out of the realm of possibility for her to maybe just be there for fun. People did like to read for fun. Apparently not Ava. He made a face when she specified what it was for. "Ancient Runes? Yuck. I don't blame you for putting that off. I'm glad I don't take that class." That also meant, don't ask him for any help because he would be hopeless.

"Potions," he answered. "It's not too hard I just needed a place where I could concentrate and finish it. Have you done the extra credit yet? I'm still deciding what exactly I want to do."
