Gobstones Consolation Match: Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin

http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/z...atchBanner.jpg
The building used for the Gobstones matches had its doors shut against the late January cold. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Vance and Professor Stewart, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's consolation match.

The blue and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.

Professor Vance walked into the gobstones building with her coat buttoned up all the way to her chin against the freezing January winter morning, with Professor Stewart and they together set up the hall for the consolation match lightening the fireplaces and putting up heated blankets for the students to sit on. On the way down from the castle the snow had laid thick under the trees and on the patch down to the building even though the groundskeeper did his best to keep it clear and walkable.

As the teams assembled Laurel put her wand to her mouth to enhance her whistle to get the players attention, a smile pursing her lips. "Good morning and welcome to the Gobstones club, today's our Consolation match of the season. I hope you're all as excited and geared up as me and Professor Stewart are!" Not waiting for any responses Laurel quickly signalled for the teams to choose their representatives for the first shot of the game.

"Let's begin!"

Jace Reed and Skylar Diggory headed out onto the court for the first roll of the match. The two players swung their shooters and released their stones. The blue stone rolled past the first two obstacles before it began to loose speed and then finally it just stopped short of the next looming obstacle. No cheer from the eagles could make it budge just a little. The green stone surpassed its opponent and 4 more obstacles before it too stopped.

"First point of the match goes to Slytherin!" Laurel announced from the sideline.

Jace Reed and Skylar Diggory both stayed on for another shot. The duo swung their shooters and released their stones again. The green stone barely rolled around the first obstacle before it stopped and oozed out a giant gush of foul smelling gob straight up into the air, and the smell was enough to make anyone gag. The blue stone surpassed its opponent and 6 more obstacles to claim the points.

"2 points to Ravenclaw!" Laurel announced from the sideline.

Ravenclaw switched players as an unnamed 7th year boy went out to take up his position with the eagle shooter next to Slytherin second year Skylar Diggory who had stayed on for the snakes by the starting line. Skylar seemed to have picked up some sort of luck with her next try with the shooter. She was getting her house's stone closer and closer to the Ravenclaws's stone, and the goal in extension. "3 points to Slytherin at the end of the first round. Slytherin leads 4-2 as we head into the second round! Come on Ravenclaw!" Laurel cheered on.

After a short break Skylar Diggory came back out with the snake shooter while Katherine Moss took to the court for the eagles. The two girls swung their shooters and released their stones. The blue stone circled around the first 8 obstacles before it abruptly stopped and oozed out a gush of smelly gob up into the air. The green stone surpassed its opponent and 2 more obstacles before it stopped.

"First point of the second rounds goes to Slytherin!" Laurel declared from the sideline trying her best to not breath through her nose because of the bad smell.

Both Houses were off to an excellent start. For the next round, Kay looked on excitedly to see which House would secure the points. It was Slytherin who did so after the blue marble, shot by Jacen Reed, had unfortunately collided with an obstacle. The Head Girl and Slytherin were triumphant!

"That's two points to Slytherin!''

What are the 3 transits of the Transit Cycles and from what are each derived?

Holmesian Feline 10-18-2016 02:32 AM

Physical - you first name
Spiritual - your last name
Mental - your middle name or last name if you dont have a middle

Stefan 10-18-2016 02:33 AM

The Transit Cycles are:

1. Physical
2. Mental
3. Spiritual

and each are derived from one's First, Middle, and Last Name respectively.

QueenPhoenix 10-18-2016 02:36 AM

The Physical Transit is derived from your first name
the Mental Transit from your middle name
the Spiritual Transit from your last name.

For those who do not have a middle name, the last name provides the Transit information for both the Mental and the Spiritual. For those who have more than one middle name, the middle names should be strung together into one long name. If you received more than one last name, string the last names together into one long last name.

Cassandra and Skylar took up position for Ravenclaw and Slytherin respectively. Both girls swung their shooters, each seemingly with a look of determination and concentration upon their faces. The marbles took off with almost equal speed. They both overcame the first hurdle but the blue one rolled right into an obstacle while the green marble sped on.

"Three points to Slytherin!'' Kay said. "We move onto the third round!''

Advisor's Note: The points were awarded to Slytherin as their answer was more complete.

Marching out again for another shot with the snake shooter was Skylar Diggory after the break. She was joined by a 5th year girl from Ravenclaw. The two girl's swung their shooters and relased their stones. The blue stone kept pace with is green counterpart all the way up to the 10th obststacle where it unfortunatley knocked straight into said obstacle with a loud BANG! Some smell oozed out but luckily the teams and spectators were spared the gob. The green stone left its opponent behind and rolled around 2 mroe obstacles before it stopped.

"First point of the third round goes to Slytherin! Come on Ravenclaw!" Laurel cheered on from the sideline.

Skylar remained to face the next Ravenclaw player. Both of them took careful aim with their shooters. The said marbles took off, both of them in a close battle to take the lead. They rounded the obstacles- one, two, three, four of them. Then SMACK! The blue one collided with the fifth obstacle and thus securing the points for Slytherin.
