The Planetarium

Located off to the right of the Observatory and behind a large wooden door lies a room made possible by means of a powerful Undetectable Extension Charm. Professor Flamsteed will hold the occasional lesson, present an educational and entertaining show about astronomy and the night sky, or a training session in celestial navigation here, but it is also available to students to use at their own leisure for research or entertainment purposes.
Professor Flamsteed just has a few guidelines for use of the planetarium:
  • ABSOLUTELY no food or drink
  • be respectful of the equipment
  • NO SNOGGING

Arithmancy class post 3 - team besties on the 8th floor...?

"Alright! Fine, I'll tell you." Hogwarts didn't have an 8th floor, so naturally Haddie figured that the 8th floor meant one of the towers. Together they reasoned it was probably somewhere in the Astronomy tower, as no one wanted to think about divination classes, and the Professor wouldn't send a bunch of kids to disturb the owls in the Owlery, and well the other two towers weren't accessible to everyone. The whole time, all the way up from the fourth floor, and all through searching the Tower Patch and the Lounge and the Observatory, Ol' Freckle Face just wouldn't let Haddie's little slip drop. No doubt Rachel could tell it was something that was bothering Haddie or she probably would have dropped it.

Haddie sighed, and looked down at the floor for a moment. "Dad found out about the Hag cooking that Hufflepuff boy... and," she didn't look up, didn't want to see that look in Rachel eyes. "And, I'm not going to be back next year." She finally did venture a glance up at Rachel. "I mean Mom's trying all she can to talk him into letting me go, but... well, if she didn't really think it was crucial that I learn to control my magic, she'd probably be one the same. And well, she barely talked him into letting me finish out this year. So, it's pretty unlikely."

Haddie shrugged, still focused on the floor. Then she looked up and glanced around the room. "Come on, let's find that clue. It has to be here." Except, looking around there wasn't many places to hide it, and even then, why would it be hidden. "I don't see it, do you? Maybe it's on the 7th floor?"

Arithmancy Lesson 1- Post 3 #TeamBesties

Rachel decided the best way to get Haddie to tell her what was going on was to constantly bother her. So, she adopted an annoying mantra to provoke her. "Tell me, tell me, tell me,'' she kept repeating until she succeeded while they searched the many possible places on the subsequent floors. Haddie had informed her that there was no eighth floor at Hogwarts.

"What?'' Rachel stopped short, clutching her writing apparatus close to her chest. "How did he find out? Are you really leaving? Can't Mrs Denaker try harder? Can't I try?'' She was panicking. She had only just gotten her best friend back to find out she possibly wasn't returning next year? She bit her lower lip. It was all she could do as she felt her heart sinking.

Utterly destroyed by this revealing piece of information, Rachel didn't bother looking around for the clue. She didn't even want to speak right now so she simply nodded and allowing Haddie to lead the way.
