Seating Area Outside of Professor Myers' Office The area outside of Professor Myers' office is quite warm, comfy, and welcoming. Knock on his door, have a seat, and wait for him to let you inside. You might indulge in the different Herbology magazines he keeps scattered around the place, or admire his eccentric taste in furniture as you wait. OOC: Please post your character in here FIRST. Have your character knock on the door and wait for Professor Myers to tell you to come in. <3 |
Kat was too young to believe in fate and things than were meant to be, but one things for sure. Someone knew that Kat needed to be in the house where the Herbology professor what the head of house. But this, this was something that was lined up in the stars since the eleven year old was born. She had to go talk to the man behind the plants. See if she could help out with things around the greenhouses or common room. Honestly she just wanted to help out and get as good with Herbology as her mother was. Professor Meyers was in for it because Kat was going to be around a lot. SORRYNOTSORRY The blonde bounced around the greenhouses until she found the professors office door. She give it a tap tap tap, and stood back patiently. Like a good patient Hufflepuff was suppose to. |

The start of term excitement was bubbling in his stomach, and the smile on Paul's face as he opened the door to see one of his newest little badgers....ugggggh. Paul was just so happy and joyful! "Hello there! Miss....gosh, I am going to have to work hard to learn all you first years' names! Please do come in! And don't mind Charles--" his dog was curled up in the corner, lifting his head curiously to see about this commotion, but he couldn't get up for anyone unless they smelled really...strong or something. He gestured the girl inside. OOC: You can now post in his office! |
*excited* HIII His very first visit was to Myers' office because he was cool and fun to talk to. Hugo was happy that the professor didn't left 'cause mostly EVERYONE was gone from last year. He made his way to the grounds, the weather was nice and he was getting used to this new hair color The fifth year entered the seating area and there were the weird but awesome furniture that the first time he saw them he wasn't very sure to sit on them. He knocked on the door and waited. In the meantime he grabbed a magazine. Let's see what was new in plants. |
Paul was headed inside from taking Charles on a walk. The enormous dog bounded inside, seeing the boy before Paul did. Charles immediately began to sniff the boy, pawing at him and being generally excited. He barked happily and ran for the door. "Wooooa...okay boy, calm down, Charles---" he grinned and let go of the leash, letting the dog scratch at his door. "Hello, Hugo! It's love to see you, m'boy!" he nodded. "Sorry, Charles is...very hyper today. It's why I took him for a walk." Dog was a LOT of work...but poor Milton had the other three at home! So! "Come in, come in--" he slipped into his office. With the free time before classes began in earnest, Olivia had decided to explore the castle and grounds and see where everything was. It was for that reason that she was down at the greenhouses. Admittedly the subject wasn’t her highest interest but she did like the outdoors, and the professor certainly seemed like a cool one. Musical too if the instrument she had vaguely noticed in the hubbub at the feast had in fact been his. That would be something they had in common...something to randomly talk about if nothing else. So when she came to the man’s supposed office, the first year figured it wouldn’t hurt to meet Professor Myers. The worst he could do was shoo her away…or maybe not even be there. But it was worth the chance. Olivia walked up to the door and gave it a polite knock before taking a seat in one of the chairs situated in the seating area to await a response or a decision to leave if nothing came. |

The nap. The accidental nap. But as soon as he heard the knock, he gave his wand a wave to open the door. "C-c-come IIIIIIN--" he yawned, standing up to stretch a bit. OOC: You can post in the office now! |
There was bound to be a line outside the Herbology Professor's office, since he was SO nice and SO understanding... and now the Hufflepuff Head of House, as Dot understood it. Bound to be a huge line, so she was pleasantly surprised only to find a few students waiting there. The girl clutched a handkerchief in her hands, pressing it against the folds of her skirt, and decided that she most definitely could wait for the professor to have time for her. |

"Dot! M'dear, come right in and have a seat...I hope you don't mind dogs." Because Charles Fluffington was lounging next to Paul's desk, chewing on a bone while Paul did his thing. OOC: Post in zee office! |
Kaycee circled the weird chair in the waiting area. She was about to go knock on the door, but, for obvious reasons, because distracted. What was this chair? Where did he get it? And most importantly, if she sat down, would it eat her? Because it looked mildly possessed. Or charmed. Whatever the politically correct term for people eating furniture was. She set the box she was carrying on the ground. She then caaaarefully approached the chair. She gave it a quick nudge with her knee to the part that could only be described of the petal of the people eating chair. She then leaped backwards. She would not get eaten today! ... Especially if the chair didn't actually fight back. |

He didn't mind the visit, though. Not one bit! The door opened, and he poked his head out. "Oh, hello, Kaycee! Come right in, m'dear!" he waved her inside. OOC: You can post in the office now ^_^ |
It had been a busy morning for Hadley Denaker. First day of classes and all. Well, actually there had only been one class so far. So far, since waking up, she'd had breakfast, cleaned the library as punishment for being a part of the food fight last night, gotten in a one-sided food fight with peeves the ghost in the library, cleaned the library again, cleaned the food off herself (some dried smudges of tomato sauce, mashed potatoes and chocolate pudding where still visible in spots she missed), and gone to class. Otherwise, she'd have been here soon. Honest. At the present, she was staring suspiciously at the odd chairs all the while standing at Professor Myers' office door. Without taking her eyes off the chairs -they were up to something- Haddie knocked on his door. Knock Knock Knock Knock Knock. Those chairs were definitely not to be trusted. Knock Knock. |
SPOILER!!: Hadley Paul heard the knock. He wasn't too busy right now. Actually, he wasn't busy at all, so this was a welcome break from doing absolutely nothing, heh. He came to the door and peered out. "Hello, Miss Denaker...please come in!" and he went back to sit behind his desk. He smiled at her because....well, he was glad she see she was adjusting to Hogwarts. OOC: You can post in the office now <3 |
Dante actually had a reason to come down this time and no this time he was not going to ask what was on the curriculum this term. He trusted Professor Paul enough to make it somewhat interesting. Nope he had gossip he wanted to confirm and well you better to ask than the point of the gossip. He did trust Aslan was telling the truth but you never know. He knocked on his door and took a seat in his favorite flower seat. He was growing to like them. Now to find out if he sings to himself when no ones around. Though him bringing a banjo to the feast does help the idea that it is true. |

WAIT? STUDENT! He peeked his head out. "Mr. Barrington...please do come in! So sorry for that--" and he gestured the boy inside. OOC: You can post in his office now <3 |
Shall be good. And post here.*poof* Professor Myers told him to meet him at his office but he rather wait for his turn to be called in. Henric took a seat on one of the blue chairs available there. Blue was his favourite colour so he chose that one. "Fancy chairs...nice..."he mused as he spun around in circles. Hmmm....he wondered what Professor Myers be wanting to see him? He sighed as he leaned back against his chair and stares off blankly into the ceiling. |

Paul heard the knock, but he was currently with another student. As SOON as the meeting was over, though, he led the student out and smiled as he saw Henric. "Hello, Henric! Come right in, m'boy!" he waved him inside. OOC: You can post in his office! <3 |
Carrying two plants one under each arm Leo made his way down to the green houses to find Paul. His sisters had again dumped plants on him that their mother thought they could learn to care for. Unfortunately the Kitridge children were notoriously bad at caring for plants, always had been. It was like a curse. If they tried to the plants always without fail withered and died. Leo had survived his owls and newts in the subject but plants gave him the creeps. They just did. Coming into Paul's waiting area he knocked on his colleagues office door, no idea if he was in Leo plopped himself down into a weird looking purple chair to wait with his plants. |
Nothing was really going on in the Herbology world today, at least not for Paul. The knock was a welcome distraction to grading some recent essays he had set his NEWT students. He really needed to give more essays to the younger ones so that...the NEWT level essays weren't so daunting. Hmph. He peeked out his door, smiling. "Leo! Come on in, my friend!" he gestured the man inside. OOC: You can post in the office, Eva! |
Madge, after the disappointment with the Divination "class", if you could call it that, decided maybe if divination didn't work out this year, maybe Herbology would. She liked plants, she hadn't had much practice growing them herself, but she admired her grandmothers garden. She thought perhaps a visit to the Herbology professor might cheer her up. He seemed nice enough in class anyway. She gave the door a tentative knock as she rocked back and forth in her shiny black buckle shoes. As she waited she glanced around at the hall outside the professor's door and was a bit taken back by the curious chairs... trumpet flowers? Quite possibly? There was also a pile of curious magazines, some she recognized as muggle magazines her mother sometimes bought, but most were... definitely magical in origin. |
It was very hard to zoom about when one was holding something rather large and cumbersome. Jaemin had learned this on his way down to the professor's office; before leaving his dorm, he'd wrapped the large glass tank in a cloak to keep it warm, and now he was holding it from underneath as if it were a very strangely shaped baby. He wasn't sure if the glass was still breakable or if that was something that had also been carefully charmed, but he wasn't about to find out. He waddled carefully into the area outside Professor Myers' door and cast his gaze around for a place to set it down. The chairs were so cooooool. He considered them for a very long moment, walking back and forth in front of them and looking at the colours before deciding on a white one. It was the prettiest. The small boy very carefully arranged his big, cloak-covered tank on one, making sure it was nice and stable, before moving to the door and knocking. Oh profeeeeeeeessooooooooooooor. |

That was enough to disrupt ANYTHING Paul might have been doing--which wasn't much, thankfully, right now--and so the man rushed to his door, threw it open, and eyed the boy with wide eyes. "....Brady..." he said softly. "Why-why do you SAY that?" he asked, shutting his office door behind him as he eyed the rows of flower chairs in his seating area. "Banging on my door like that...yes, you sound a liiiiiiittle nuts right now-" he pat the boy's shoulder. "Seriously, though...what's WRONG?" |
Quote:
Stay calm. DEEP BREATHS. Stay calm. He was about to blow off the handle at any moment. The door opened! Or did he imagine that? Nah, he couldn't have look right there was Professor Paul! |
O____O Paul was now...alarmed. This didn't seem like a child being overdramatic--and yes, Brady was a bit overdramatic sometimes--but Brady seemed genuinely distraught right now. Very very distraught. "She...is driving you....m'boy...." he spoke in a soothing tone. "The hag is gone...she went into the forest and we've not found her..." had the hag come BACK? Paul was hoping NO because that was a whole other can of WORMS that could go awry this term! "How is she driving you insane?" |
Quote:
"YOU PEOPLE HAVEN'T FOUND HER YET?!!!" |
....Ahem. Paul raised an eyebrow. "No, we haven't. But she has not come back into the grounds since she left. So..." he made a slight face at Brady. Was...he okay? Like..seriously, did he need to get checked out? "M'boy...she didn't succeed in COOKING you but..." maybe he needed some therapy...Merlin...that would have messed a young Paul up as well! He looked worried. He wasn't qualified to be a good therapist to the boy...maybe he'd contact his parents? "All right...all right. Well. Let's take a seat in one of my chairs--" he gestured. "They aren't charmed or anything...perfectly safe," as he had been asked many times before. |
Quote:
"YOU HAVEN'T!" He yelled out again, he didn't mean to yell but he was freaking out, the first year was looking all around to make sure the hag wasn't near him. "This crazy lady is taking over my life. I can't eat, I drink, I can't sleep!" Brady took in a long breath and let it out slowly, he was trying to calm himself down and he just couldn't do that. "Just because she hasn't come back doesn't mean that she isn't around. She could be walking around this castle at any moment now and try to kill me!" He didn't want to be killed, he was too young to be killed. |
Okay so..Paul was growing MORE concerned. Merlin. "Listen, Brady..we have enchantments up to protect her from getting back in, okay? She can't...come in here and hurt people or scare people anymore. You are completely safe..." he didn't know how else to explain it to the boy. Um. About the hiring... "Well, we're still trying to figure all that out..." he said softly. A ripple of discomfort broke through him, though, and he just crinkled his nose slightly. "Then DON'T sit but please relax..." he glanced at the door to his office. "I can make us some tea...we can talk it out...it's all...going to be okay. You can pet my dog." It was a major stress reliever. |
Quote:
"I am NOT trusting magic this time! Someone let her be a professor and put ME AND OTHERS IN THE WAY OF DANGER!" He was starting to think that one of the professors wanted the student body dead. |
Quote:
His grandmother...hmm. "Informed when? When the hag stuff is figured out?" he asked, because he wasn't sure what else Brady would need to be informed about... But he smiled. "Well..I am...I'm a professor..so I can have a dog. He is able to stay in my office and whatnot." Because mostly...dogs would be terribly hard to keep in the dorms, right? |

He stayed silent on the way to Professor Myers's office. Except when he tripped over a tree root at the Grounds. Other than that, he was silent, which was something because he was usually annoyingly talkative. The Hufflepuff quickly found the seating area with the weirdly cool furniture. After a glance at the girl, he knocked on the door and waited. Maybe they should have brought some evidence from the Common Room. But ... what? |
Quote:

If Esme was so sure that Professor Myers wouldn't blame them for what had happened in the common room, why was she feeling stressed? Glancing around the waiting area, she tried to shake sense into herself. It was all the Hag's fault for making her paranoid. There was no way it could be anyone else though she supposed that Peeves was a pretty strong contender... And there he was. Clearly rather stressed and high-strung. Nothing she could fault him with because it seemed that every one's stress levels were running high lately. "Well... the desks and chairs of the Hufflepuff study area are attached to the ceiling and we aren't sure who did it." Despite her feelings, Esme knew that there wasn't enough evidence to claim without a doubt that it had been the Hag. As it was she was trying to stay cool and collected. |
SPOILER!!: Professor Myers and Esme! Fortunately, they did not have to wait long. Carl forced a smile onto his face as Professor Myers opened the door. He seemed stressed out, which came as a surprise to the First Year. He had always thought of his Head of House as a carefree sort of person. Though to be honest, recent events were enough to make even the most optimistic guy worried. He stayed silent as Esme explained the situation, noticing that she did not mention their theory about the Hag. "And nobody is hurt, Professor." He added. If the older girl thought they should not make any accusations, she was probably right. |
Esme and Carl! O_____O WHAT? Paul's eyes grew to the size of DINNER PLATES practically, and he simply stared at the two...okay. Merlin. SO many weird things going on! He didn't like it, not one BIT. "Okay...and...they're just...stuck there?" he didn't see WHY a student would do that...or HOW? Seemed a bit intense for just a small prank...hmm. "Uh...well..." he shuffled into his office to grab his wand. "Let us...go see then...I'm glad no one is hurt but Merlin! Is it just me or..." he squinted down at his two Hufflepuffs. "But are...funny things happening this term?" To the common room! |
*declones* Professor Myer's expression mirrored exactly how Esme felt on the inside. He also knew that none of the Hufflepuffs had taken part in the prank. Beyond the fact that they were not the biggest jokesters by nature, there was the fact that this magic was beyond the skill level of most students. Must be difficult to manage levitating furniture to a ceiling and making it stick. Or at least it seemed that way to her. It was a little hard for Esme to know since she was only a Third Year and such things were beyond her skill level. Nodding at what the Professor said, she was glad that she wasn't the only one that had noticed all of the weird pranks that kept happening. And then there was the doll who had vanished as suddenly as it had appeared... Where had it gone? Was it connected to the Hag and taken off with her when she headed off into the forest? Of course she had a feeling that the old bat hadn't stayed in the woods and had headed back to Hogwarts in secret. She wouldn't have put it past her and it WAS interesting to note that all this stuff happened after she had arrived at Hogwarts. Seemed to be too much of a coincidence to her. With a shake of her head, Esme followed after him and towards the common room. |
SPOILER!!: Professor Myers and Esme! Carl might have grinned at Professor Myers' expression, if the situation was not this serious. He nodded, yes the tables were just stuck there. Some more waiting happened as the Professor went into his office to get his wand. This was becoming even more scary ... was he going to perform complex magic and solve the problem? "It's not just you, sir." He was glad that the staff was also aware of the strange things happening. Gripping the wand in his pocket, he followed the two back to the scene. He was going to keep an eye out for anything strange on the ceiling on the way. |
Summer vacation was just around the corner and yes Hugo was EXCITED to go back home and go out without thinking about OWLs, homework or school in general. But right now he was paying another visit to one of his favorite professors, to not say his favorite professor. Ahem. The Slytherin knocked on the door and sat down, he was already used to the extravagant furniture. He expected Myers' dog to be outside but apparently not, so he grabbed a magazine and waited. He need a deep conversation with Myers or at least a few words of encouragement. |
