The Portraits
|
Lauren/Brian <3 Once in a while, mostly when Donny was busy and Abbi needed a good talk, the fifth year would make her way towards the first floor to have a deep-meaningful-conversation with one of the moving pictures. They were spectacular listeners and she found their stories just as fascinating as anything. With a gaze, it took the brunette only a short moment to find her favorite potrait subject, his name was Giffard Abbott and the fact that he had a dog was about all she knew of him, or well the person he was painted as. Portraits didn't know much about their subjects, instead they tended to be different to them completely although there were exceptions. "Giff! How you doing, G?" A beam was given his way as she very casually took a seat beside the ground and waited for him to portrait-travel closer. |
Brian's very repetitive, sorry. Quote:
He was definitely on the wrong floor now. "Who's Giff?" he asked, a little confused as to why this person was talking to the wall. Then, he might have heard a cough from a portrait behind him and he might have jumped a little. "Holycraptheportraitjustcoughed." No, Brian wasn't freaking out. There was no limit to the weird things that went on here, was there? |

CUTE LITTLE THING. Hello newbie. She beamed at the little kid, gosh was she that small? Was he a cootie believer??? "The portrait with the dog, see." she pointed to the painting and watched him wave and greet the kid. Gigggllee snort, cause the kid was just freaking out. Clearly he had never seen something like this before, but hey he ought to get used to all of it soon because well hello Hogwarts. "They move and talk, and they're completely magical. Have you not seen any of the others?" she asked him. "You're cute, what's your name?" Abbi being Abbi meant no holding back any thoughts, mostly anyways. |
Cordelia once again let herself just wander around the school. And for some reason she wandered to the portraits. Come to think of it, the first time she was around the portraits, she was little afraid and just ran away, but then again she was only a first year then. Now she was a third year and a little more mature and grown up now so she definitely wasn't going to be afraid of moving portraits. As she wandered around, one portrait moved and she spotted it from the corner of her eye and quickly turned her body to look but whoever was in the portrait was no longer there and she pouted. She plopped down on the ground crossing her legs and she huffed. I can't believe I am doing this... she thought to herself before she exhaled out and finally spoke out. "Sooo...how's everyone doing here...? How's portrait life?" She scoffs at herself thinking she sounded completely and utterly idiotic trying to make conversations with blood portraits. "Ok, so conversing with random people, let alone portraits, aren't exactly my strong suit here. I guess you can say I get a little nervous for some reason. I don't know why. I just do. Maybe I am just too afraid to socialize with people...? Bloody hell I sound ridiculous..." She runs her fingers through her hair and chuckles to herself. |
Iris Pius had been watching the students go by quietly. She just liked watching them, but now she felt the energy to talk so looking around she found the closest one. "Hello, good day" Did anyone have time to chat with an old portrait? She always did like when the students stopped and chatted. |
For Josette <3! (Mention of Talking Portrait too!) Kace decided it was time to take a stroll and look at the portraits. I mean he knew they could talk but he hadn't seen it yet. As he looked around he heard something. He turned around and noticed a portrait talking. He grinned and knew his day had come! He could actually talk to a portrait! He stepped forward and began to speak... "HII!" he yelled to let her notice him. "I am Kace Lecium a fellow hufflepuff. Nice to meet you.." he said because he didn't know what else to say. |

She looked around at the other students before turning her attention back to him, "What year are you in Mr. Lecium?" |
Divinations Post #3 LAST KITTY CAT! WOOO HOOO! |
Divination Homework #3 Kate was really in a hurry now! The homework assignment was due to the professor soon, and she still had to find a third cat and do a third reading. The reading part was easy. Her textbook always led her right to the answer, and all she had to do was summarize what the cat was trying to predict for her. Finding the cat was the hard part. Were they all hiding away or something? Maybe they were all starting to get caught and taken back to where they came from. Kate hoped there was at least one still roaming around. She turned down the corridor and toward a hallway of portraits. Some were still inside the frame, so she waved toward the people as she walked around. Kate wanted to stay on the good side of the portraits. Who knew when knowing them might come in handy some day. She finally found a cat lounging beneath a portrait. In a hurry, she whipped out her parchment and quill and began to write. Homework Reading #3 Well, cat number three didn't bring me quite as much luck as the first two cats did. The news isn't terrible, but I should let you know that a snowstorm is coming. This cat was lying fully on its side, sleeping, with a paw over its face. It looked like it was having some good sleep, but also, according to the textbook, this means that a snowstorm is coming. |

..... Josie jumped a bit as she'd turned the corner & heard the sudden loud voice of a boy who was...apparently speaking to the portraits as well. From what she could make of it, he was a Hufflepuff & oh wait, she recognized that boy! Hadn't she met him on the train for a brief moment before? ..Right? |

He nodded towards her respectfully and he grinned sheepishly. "I mean I think I do. I mean like.." he said stuttering but then he covered himself up. "I am actually yes." he gave her a positive smile. Ah she wanted to know his year? He smiled and responded, "I am a sixth year." Did he look like it? He hoped so. Quote:

As she waited for him to answer she noticed the other portraits all around chatting to each other or looking at the students. Very interesting how awake it seemed they all were lately. "Well I hope you are representing us well. You have many famous Witches and Wizards that were exceptional Hufflepuffs." She was very proud to be in the house of the badger. "A sixth year, how did you do on your owls?" She knew the fifth and seventh years were very stressful. Seeing another person come up she smiled, "Hello" |

SPOILER!!: Josette! As Kace was looking at the girl and noticed she did look familiar and he nodded and smiled. She did seem nervous and assured her she had nothing to be embarrassed about. "I am sure we did but my memory being bad as it is, I need a refresher. I am Kace.." he held his hand out for her to shake. "What house are you in?" he asked. |
