for Katniss /Benny <3 WHERE WERE THE HOUSE ELVES?! That was the first question on Adi's mind as he stepped into the Kitchen after tickling that pear in the portrait. Aha! There they alllll were, doing their various duties and what not. Such happy, hardworking creatures. They'd definitely be Puffers if they could be Sorted. Hehe. "Come on, Benny!" Adi called cheerfully to his glum friend. Adi was a little foggy on the details but he knew his friend was bummed out about something that had happened among him and Professors Maddox and Bellaire. Maybe the Gryffindor could fill him in on what went down. Adi had dragged his best friend to the Kitchen for two reasons. One: AJ's and Angel's fourteenth birthday was almost upon them so the two boys wanted to bake them a cake and two: Benny definitely needed cheering up. So why not blend the two reasons together? Admittedly, the latter reason had become more important to him. It was time for him to return the favour of all the times earlier in the school year when Benny had worked so much to keep him cheered up. "Soooo. Cake baking. You ever done this before, Dragon?" And no, the Hufflepuff had not done this before either so here's to hoping things went his and Benny's way. He began opening cupboards looking for ingredients. "You can grab bowl, measuring stuff and so on.'' Best keep the other guy busy, yeah? Hopefully he wouldn't be thinking too much about Bellaire. |
Benny slowly made his way down to the kitchens with Adi, the Gryffindor having to force himself to follow his friend. With everything that had happened with Bellaire, he hadn't been in much of a mood to do anything fun lately, like what the Hufflepuff had planned. Just ducking out of the way and trying to stay out of trouble...and revert back to his former, more quiet self. He supposed the fact that they were there to make a cake for the girls' birthday was part of the reason that he had finally given in to Adi's prodding. This way he was doing something in favor for three friends instead of just one. "I'm coming," he murmured quietly at Adi's call, the boy shuffling further into the kitchen after his bestie There was thankfully no other humans around, just plenty of house elves going about their business. Benny supposed they weren't exactly the type of entity that he really had to worry about. "Not personally," he admitted with a one-armed shrug. Benny doubted his parents would really want him doing anything like cooking or baking, especially after news of his horrid potions incident reached them. "Watched mum a couple of times." At his friend's instructions, he wordlessly moved to obey, searching the kitchen area for the tools they would need. |
SPOILER!!: The Chinese Fireball! <3 Now, Adi was used to his bestie being all quiet and stuff but what he was not used to was the guy being down, sad, EXTRA quiet and what not. In fact, Adi hated seeing Benny like that. Poor old Dragon. He needed some cheering up. Hopefully the Hufflepuff could help with that. As he got the necessary ingredients for the cake, he eyed Benny. Maybe talking about it would help? Plus, Adi was SUPER DUPER curious to know exactly what went down. "So. Bellaire. What happened?'' If talking about it did not work, Adi would simply resort to other measures. Like dumping flour all over his friend. "Me too but I think that I can remember what she did.'' Because he had watched her do it multiple times for him. Grabbing one of the bowls Benny had retrieved, Adi began measuring out ingredients. "While I do this, you could get the oven going. Or if you prefer, I could do that and you do this.'' Adi didn't want the Kitchen to burn down now, did he? Benny lighting the oven might be somewhat taking a risk. LOL. But Adi trusted the guy. |
SPOILER!!: #ZANTHEMAN Hmm. HMMM. Toby wasn't sure he believed that Zander was okay, but the second he though it he automatically berated himself because 1. it was RUDE to think someone was lying especially seeing as he liked to trust EVERYONE and 2. even if Zander WAS lying then he clearly just didn't want to talk about it and TOBY UNDERSTOOD THAT like a whole lot. So he was not gonna push it at all nope. Just gonna smile at him. OH OKAY AWESOME. Pizza for both of them. Toby's smile turned into one that was somewhere between relieved/thankful for the help and V HAPPY for Zander!company. Friend? FRIEND?! "Awesome." YEP. BOUNCEBOUNCE. SO. FOOD. They needed STUFF. Toby headed on over to where the FOODSTUFF was kept and kept speaking to Zander, still just as fast as before but trying so hard to S L O W D O W N that the effort was probably visible on his face. "One with loads of cheese on. I love cheese, and I don't eat meat, so I can add even more cheese to make up for it." Merlin, he really did love cheese. His Quidditch trainer for the U17s had tried to tell him that he should probably cut down on all the cheese buT NO WAY DUDE THAT STUFF WAS LIKE MOLTEN GOLD ON A PIZZA. "We can split it straight down the middle, if you like, and both have toppings. Just... no pineapple, if that's okay?" On account of him being DEATHLY ALLERGIC. Okay, SO... getting set up here, looking more or less like he knew what he was doing (ahahahaha), Toby looked at Zander again and grinned. "You ever made pizza from scratch before? I usually have my dad helping me but I think I know what I'm doing. I think there was a Muggle Studies class on it once too but my memory is super foggy at the moment." How hard could it be? ... Shame they couldn't order in. OR COULD THEY? Or... no, Toby was pretty sure they couldn't. |
SPOILER!!: Baker Adi Distracted in his own thoughts and the task at hand of retrieving what they needed, Benny didn't notice the focused attention on him. It wasn't until Adi mentioned Bellaire that he winced and debated even turning around. He was a tad ashamed after all that he had managed to get on the woman's bad side which was hardly advisable. "Professor Quigley and I...tried to leave her a surprise in her office," the Gryffindor finally managed to get out before slowly turning to place the bowls and stuff on the work area between them. As for starting the oven... "Is there a way to do it non-magically?" Benny questioned sheepishly, looking between Adi and various house elves scattered around. "I...um...currently don't have a wand." Cue a hand reaching up to rub the back of his neck absently. He had been somewhat grateful that most of the lessons they had been having lately were stuff that hadn't required his magic as he wasn't exactly in a positions to be great with wandless spells. But he probably should work on that next year. And maybe he should be measuring out stuff instead. |
For Grayson and Simon! Confusion, fatigue, stress, MASSIVE HEADACHE. And when one Ethan Mordaunt gets a pounding nuisance in his head, it’s either he’ll go to his dorm and sleep, or go up to the kitchen and eat. Since sleep is not an option, because HELLO CRAMMING, he went up to the House Elves’s domain, and see if he can eat something that will appease his current situation. With no intention to waste time, Ethan packed his school things in a bag, and brought everything to the kitchen. Can they make pizza for him? Or…bangers and mash? Sighing, he got a table to himself and dumped all of his books and revision materials on it. Maybe he can do some light reading first, then get food as a reward? Yep, sounds like a plan. Ethan got his Herbology textbook and notes, and started to read. He only lasted at least 30 seconds of reading when he suddenly face planted on his book. He may…or may not be snoring loudly. |
SPOILER!!: MR. TOBERSON, SIR Okay. Strange. And no, he wasn't actually referring to the bouncing this time. But that was a bit strange too, not gonna lie. But the real strange thing was that Zander KNEW how terrible of a lier he was. Though he would deny it to anyone who tried to tell him. He knew it and everyone knew it. Zander Adair was not capable of lying. Probably not even if his life depended on it. Even Kevin had tried to teach him and it didn't work AND Kevin was like the BEST liar he knew. So there was no hope. Except for, Toberson didn't even press for details or question it. He accepted it??? WHAT? Most people would've pressed, Zander was sure. Especially around here. Everyone seemed to want to be all up in each other's personal business and that's the one thing Zander Adair hated the most. So it was strange that Toberoni didn't even question it. But it was INCREDIBLY appreciated. So even though Zander wasn't okay, he did let a small, tinssssyyy smile make it's way onto his face. Thanks, Toby. For not pressing. He watched as the older boy went back to the food things, and took a few steps closer just so that-- well, if he was going to help then he might as well be there. Ahem. "I love cheese too-- Wait." He cocked his head to the side, "You're a vegetarian?... I don't think Soph's ever mentioned that." And Sophie talked about Toberson A LOT, well, as she should y'know?"But no meant and no pineapple, that sounds fine to me." Splitting it up in the middle was brilliant though. That way they'd each get to do whatever they liked and there'd be no awkward 'uh no thanks' kind of thing. Plus, in Zander's expert opinion, what a man puts on his pizza really /defines/ him. Yeah. They should talk about this stuff in divination. Pizzination?? Pizza-omancy? Eh. They'd work out logistics later. But for now... Pizza things. Yeah. Pizza things. Zander considered the question for a bit, before giving Toberson a 'weeeeeeeelll...." kind of look. "I've only ever tried that one time in Muggle Studies, yeah. But uh... I ended up with pizza dough on my head... But I-uh-that shouldn't be a problem if I stay away from the tossing bit." Wait. Maybe he shouldn't have mentioned that bit. Would Toby take the invitation back? Hopefully no. "But uh... How hard can it be?" 'Sepcially with the two of them and everything. Toby had the brains. And Zander had the... the... stomach??? What could possibly go wrong? |
SPOILER!!: Likely to set the Kitchen afire Benny! <3 A surprise? Well, it certainly could NOT be a bad one because Benny would not have had a part in that... whatever the surprise was. "What was this surprise?" Adi asked, very curious now. What he was all surprised about was the fact that Quigley was Benny's partner in crime. Didn't the two Professors have some sort of a feud? Maybe Quigley was just trying to be nice. Adi mentally shrugged. Who knew what Professor Feline was up to though. Adi paused from whipping the ingredients together to look up in surprise at his best friend. O__O "What? What happened to it? Are you getting back it soon?" There was no way Benny would be able to survive classes without his wand. In the meanwhile... "I'll do the lighting just to be on the safe side.'' There might be a chance that the oven might explode and there would be one burnt dragon as well. Adi stepped away from the bowl to head over to the oven. It was better to be safe than sorry. |
SPOILER!!: Safety Conscious Adi Benny had his friend's attention now. The Gryffindor worked the words over his brain on how to describe just what had been talked about on the wooden bridge and what had transpired in the woman's office. "A nice garden of multicolored butterflies in her office," he finally supplied in answer. It had seemed perfectly fine when it had originally come up. Just not for Bellaire it seemed. He might have even been happy about learning a new spell...had it turned out better. And then the Hufflpuff froze in what he was doing. Yep...Adi was surprised at his mention of not having his wand. Could he go run and hide now? Benny bit his lip as the questions flowed, shaking his head at the last one before speaking up on the rest. "Bellaire has it. She took mine and Professor Quigley's...though...um...she broke Quigley's," he remarked, sighing at the end. The Gryffindor couldn't even imagine what that must have felt like for the man and couldn't help be concerned that his own wand would meet that same fate. "I don't know when I'm getting it back," he finished as Adi moved to light the fire of the oven. The boy switching places with his friend and collapsing onto one of the stools. |
SPOILER!!: Adi's wandless bestie! <3 A garden of multicoloured butterflies? "What's wrong with that?" Adi pondered out loud and trying to find the problem. If it were him getting a gardenful of butterflies (but maybe a field of Hippogriffs would be better) he wouldn't have found anything wrong with that. But this was Bellaire they were talking about. Maybe she didn't appreciate her office being turned into a garden. And she took the Dragon's wand too? :x3: Quite honestly, Adi didn't really register the fact that Quigley's wand got snapped. BUT SHE TOOK BENNY'S WAND?! Frowning now, Adi shifted his gaze from his bestie since the boy looked uncomfortable. Gosh. Benny was just making a nice gesture towards the woman. Hmph. "She has to give it back sometime.'' After lighting the oven, the Hufflepuff turned back to Benny. Poor dude. He looked so defeated. "Cheer up. She can't keep it forever,'' he reasoned (and forever being the optimistic Hufflepuff), now moving to get baking pans to grease. "Anytime you need to have spell work done, let me know. I promise not to blow up anything.'' Hehe. This was just Adi's attempt to help the Dragon crack a smile at least. |
SEE!? Adi didn't think of there being anything wrong with what he had gone to do with Professor Quigley either. To beautify a professor's office...while learning a new spell...and again the fact that he had been trying to be nice, to one professor if not both of them involved. Benny had meant it when he had told Bellaire that day that he hadn't meant any trouble or harm by his actions. She has to give it back sometime Benny certainly hoped that would prove to be true. And that it would be sooner rather than later. While he didn't necessarily depend solely on his wand for things, he was hitting enough times that it would have been extremely useful, that it was bothersome and upsetting. Maybe being temporarily transfigured into a butterfly, like Flamsteed had mentioned afterwards, would have been better after all. His best friend tried to cheer him up and all he could do was weakly nod. Ben would try to think positively...and distract himself. Another reason this cake baking adventure was supposed to be used for good. He nodded again as Adi offered spell help for him, though he inwardly hoped it wasn't necessary. "What's...what next? |
For Dylan! After coming back from outside he hoped there would some ice to soothe his bump on his head. He lead Dylan here and possibly they could eat something because he was hungry. As he began to look around he wondered if there was a house elf that could help him and give him some ice but shouldn't there be a fridge? He began to look around and he asked Dylan "Hey mate do you see a fridge or freezer around here?" Surely he wasn't crazy. He couldn't find it yet. Unless Hogwarts doesn't believe in this type of thing. Yeah that could be it. |

Oooh foooood! That would help Kace feel better too, and Dylan just wanted some. It was a win win. The fifth year glanced around thoughtfully, noticing the freezer they had just taken ice out of. He made his way over and peered into it, noticing quite a bit of ice cream inside. "I dunno, I kinda want ice cream right now..." He suggested as he looked at all the flavors. |

"You want to help me prepare some hamburgers?" the big puffer asked. |
*posts for the heck of it* SPOILER!!: BRAH So ZANDER was another cheese lover? WELL IF THAT WASN'T A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN. Cheese heaven. Cheeeeeeese. "Uh-huh," Toby nodded at the question of his vegetarianism. "Since... first year, I think? The only exception is potions; brewing them and taking them. Don't wanna make Culloden's life difficult and, y'know, can't always afford to be picky when you take them." He scrunched up his nose, then grinned. He didn't mind hinting about that potion stuff with Zander; the guy was... soothing? Calming? Well, he had an accepting nature about him. But, ehehe, speaking of Soph. "Has she told you my feelings on ice cream?" Toby wouldn't be surprised. Soph loved the stuff, Toby basically had a PHOBIA of it. It was one of the few things where they were HUGELY different. Toby had still been talking VERY fast, but now he already had something on which to focus his attention and energy, he started to appear a TIIIIIIIINY bit calmer. Hopefully his HUNGER would help his focus stick. He laughed at Zander's story about the dough on the head, but it was a GOOD-NATURED laugh. A 'YOU ARE WITH FRIENDS' laugh. "I can try that part, don't worry, Zan. OR... we'll ask a house elf." Because Toby was probably likely to take someone's eye out with it. DETAILS. So, he had a BOWL. That was important. And... ingredients. YEP. OKAY. "Here goes nothing, then," the sixth year said, bouncing on his toes and going for the flower, snorting to himself in laughter as he remembered dumping a whole bag of the stuff onto Piers' head. HAHAHA. Ah. Don't worry though, Zander, you're safe from that. |
