Boris the Bewildered Near the hidden entrance to the prefect bathroom on the fifth floor stands a statue of a lost-looking wizard with his gloves on the wrong hands. This is Boris the Bewildered, a good meeting spot on this largely empty and musty-smelling floor. |
Where was she? Eden got lost a lot. A lot lot. She always seemed to do it in the strangest places, too. Her eyes swept up and down the corridor. She stopped at the statue of this weird guy--clearly, he didn't know how to wear gloves?--and she siiiighed and leaned against the wall next to him. "Well--can YOU get me unlost?" she looked up at the statue, raising an eyebrow. Her backpack was heavy, too, because she was trying to get to her common room after a day full of classes. She had HOMEWORK to do here, okay? Astronomy and Potions and stuff...probably more. Where was Clara when she really NEEDED her? The girl was good at getting them very UNlost. Unfortunately, though, this corridor looked very deserted, and she didn't know whether she would even see anyone who COULD help her. Ugh. Before she tried to move on, she just stared around...this floor was creepy. It had an off smell, too. Very mildewy. She had to crinkle her nose a bit. WHERE WAS SHE? |

About to make her way towards the Ancient Runes classroom, she suddenly had heard the sound of a voice coming from...behind her? She slowed her walk a little bit until she had come to a complete stop entirely. Where was this voice coming from? Josie slowly turned around before she started walking back to the corner of the corridor. Once reaching the corner, she stopped & slowly peaked her head around the corner to see the statue of Boris the Bewildered & it was at that moment where she began to wonder if the Bewildered Boris was the one who'd just spoken. Honestly at this point, it wouldn't have surprised her if Mr. Boris was in fact speaking, there were certainly many more strange things in this castle than a statue talking. But wait, there was an older girl leaning against the statue. Oh well, then that made more sense than to explain the talking. From what it sounded like, it didn't seem like the girl was talking to Josie, mostly because she probably didn't even realize she wasn't alone anymore. She couldn't really put her finger on it, but it seemed like the girl was upset..at least she thought so.. |
SPOILER!!: Sweeet little Josie Whereeeee was she? She had no clue. And still no one in sight. She glanced down at her watch..what had she been doing anyways? She forgot. Great. Now she was lost AND she had forgotten why she was here. She heard footsteps--and she raised an eyebrow at the coming person--oh. Just a younger student. She sighed. The girl probably didn't know where she was either--though, this was Eden's first year, the girl might have been here for a few years now. She looked around...a third year? Hmm. She cleared her throat and stepped forward, eyeing the girl up and down. "HEY THERE!" she cried out, suddenly, trying not to be creepy, but her voice echoed SO much that she probably scared the girl half to death... -____- |

Josie jumped where she stood & had accidentally dropped all of her books for Ancient Runes. DRATS! She quickly knelt down as she scrambled to gather all of her books as fast as her tiny shaky hands would allow her. Which didn't seem to be going fast enough, at least she felt like it wasn't. She didn't lift her head to look at the girl by the statue at all, fearful that she might have possibly had disturbed the older girl. Perhaps she wanted to be alone? She spoke in her usual shaky tone, "I-I'm-I'm sorry...I-I didn't mean to-to intrude..." Honestly, how many books did she have? |
Quote:
Eden had made the girl drop ALL of her books--she quickly leapt over to her and began to help picking them up...Ancient Runes, eh? Eden would NOT be taking that class--nope. TOo hard for her brain. Too hard. She smiled all friendly at her because honestly the girl looked SCARED. "Hi--I--why are you sorry?" The girl hadn't done anything! "You weren't intruding, promise--" She said as she stood up straight. "I'm just rather lost and stuff. This is my first year here and--" well, it sucked, to be honest, that she STILL got all lost like this. "I know--I am dumb, I'm older, I shouldn't get lost--" and she blushed as she handed the books over to the younger girl. "I'm Eden, by the way--I think we're in the same house--" she said as she squinted at the girl's tie. Blue and Bronze. Yep. Ravenclaw. Eden had started to really enjoy her house, yepppp. Sure, she thought she belonged in GRYFFINDOR still, but Ravenclaw was really cool and had cool people. |
Kace decided to meet with Puck here to do the potions homework. Apparently they needed to drink the potion and write down the effects it has on them. As he got to the fifth floor corridor, he noticed it was quite empty. That was a good thing because it could get a little heated in here. Especially Puck she might go nuts. He waited for his friend to arrive, he was just chilling doing his thing. |

”you have your potion?” she asked as she fished through her own pockets and pulled out the little vial of her own collection of potion from her pocket. ”toy ready?” she asked as she uncapped her vial and got ready to drink her potion. "on three maybe?" she asked. |

"One....two....thre....." he counted and then uncorked his vial and sipped it till there was no more. |

"I was thinking other things and talking..." she admitted with a sheepish grin. "okay, one - two - DOWN THE HATCH!" she called out as she tipped the potion into her mouth and drank it down....oh god it was awful. |

”oh please Kace, its not because of me. I’m not the problem…maybe it’s the fact that you are here?” she snapped back at his hate filled comments. ”please looking at your gorilla-arms and giant neck probably made him go I DON’T KNOW WHICH GLOVE IS WHICH…WHERE’S THE OTHER ONE?” she hiss yelled at the guy. God, she wanted to throw something at him. And she was going to. She stomped her way over to the portrait and tried to take it off the wall. She was going to smash the bewildered face over Kace’s head. It had to had done. But then she had another idea. Angrily she conjured a bunch of penguin plushies and watched as they fell to the ground in front of her. "Penguins. Are. Stupid. Flightless. Birds...JUST like a quidditch player who can't FLY because of laws" she growled. Pointing her wand at the plushies she did it...the evil horrendous thing. "Incendio" there it was. A flaming pile of penguins. |
SPOILER!!: Kind Eden <3 Hearing the sound of footsteps, she could feel her heart racing faster & faster as the girl was nearing her. Oh DRATS, she was definitely going to be scolded or something, she really needed to watch out better when she was walking or lurking around corners. Or better yet, maybe she'd be better off not lurking around corners, so that she wouldn't drop her books like this. She froze instantly once she took notice of how close the girl sounded & when she slowly lifted her head, she saw the girl was not smiling at her, but was actually informing the third year that she hadn't intruded. Phew, that was honestly a relief. Finally picking up her last book, she noticed the older girl was now standing up straight & was not explaining to what she was actually doing, which was apparently her being lost actually. Seeing as to how this was the older girl's first year attending Hogwarts, it clearly meant that she was a transfer & clearly hadn't gotten used to all of the castle's halls & corridors. That was where Josie could definitely relate, seeing as to how she definitely knew there were a lot of places the young Ravenclaw hadn't even discovered yet & getting lost still did happen every now & then. "I-I don't...I-I don't think you're...dumb...I-It's a big c-castle.." She slowly took her book from the girl's hand as she had introduced herself & she found out that not only was her name Eden, but they were apparently in the same house. The third year gave a quick nod & offered a tiny smile before she spoke in her soft tone, "M-My name's Josie-uh-I mean..J-Josette.." |

"Well you know vintage record are sooo stupid! I mean who listen to this anymore!?" he conjured one up in his hand. He even had her favorite band on it to make it even better. "I mean really who are you trying to impress your grandma?" he spit out. "THESE THINGS ARE SOO OUT DATED!" he yelled and got his wand out and smirked devilishly. "Incendio!" he conjured laughed at the record burning. There you go, flaming vintage records of her favorite bands in front of her eyes. Take that godzilla. |
Potions 3 Quote:
Vintage records! She heard what he had said and felt like throwing the fiery penguins at his stupid face. ”Oh you bloated COW” Puck hissed at him. She glared at him as harshly as she could. ”Oh sorry but at least vintage records aren’t going extinct unlike" she was NOT trying to impress her grandma. HER grandma was a dead batty old jerk of a woman. ”YOU ARE SO DEAD” she hiss-yelled at him. And with a few stomping steps she turned to leave the room, the hate, it was fading but the hurt no. That would take sometime. She wasn't going to cry or anything...she was going to cry over Queen burning but nothing more than that. She whimpered and began to walk off. |
Potions HW #1 Post 4 Quote:
"They will go extinct if I destroy record players.." he grinned devilishly. "BRING IT ON PUCK THE DUCK! YEAH THAT'S RIGHT YOU HAVE A DUCK FACE!" he called out. Then he felt the potion subside and now he felt terrible. He saw her whimpering and his eyes went wide. "Oh my god...what did we just do..?" he asked looking around. He noticed the burnt records and the penguins. He went over to Puck and gave her a hug and said, "I am soo sorry.." he told her. He truly meant it obviously. |
SPOILER!!: Josie Eden smiled kindly at her. She seemed a bit scared. Eden did NOT bite--like ever, really. "I may be older but honestly--I'm like a puppy, okay?" she said and she tried her best to look her MOOOOST innocent ever. And for the most part...well, she was pretty nice and innocent... Hmph. "It is. Ugh. I'm a transfer from Durmstrang--and--I just--it was so much smaller, you know?" she said, trying to make the girl feel comfortable with her casual tone and all. She glanced at the statue..."And who's this bloke?" she nodded at Boris. She had no idea who he was...his name or anything. And why there was this RANDOM statue of him at this school and stuff. Awww. SHE WAS TOO CUTE. Eden wanted to just SQUISH her to DEAAAATH--okay, not death, but she DID want to squish her. She smiled again. "Josette? That's pretty. Do you prefer Josie, though?" she asked, considering she had introduced herself as that first. "Both are cute." Heh. "Whatcha' doin' around here, then?" Surely she hadn't stumbled upon Eden just to help her? |

She’d give him a squashed mosquito face if he ever said that to her again. That was a fact. And then he was walking up to her….she turned and started a little faster down the corridor but then she heard what he was saying he wasn’t being mean anymore he was…apologizing? Did he get away with that…well, yeah? It was potion induced right? “I’m sorry about the penguins” she whispered and wrapped her arms around her friend because she was sorry, and so was he. They both were sorry. They didn’t hate each other…he was one of her first friends from Hogwarts. Really, she hoped she’d never hate him that much, or at all. ”its…its okay we didn’t mean any of it at all” she sighed, ”but Duck is one of the only words that rhymes with my name” she admitted…and it had been her father’s nickname for her when he was nice, before things had changed his little Ducking…but she wasn’t the Duckling anymore. ”just…don’t call me it okay…Duck, it…its not good” she admitted halfheartedly, she’d tell Kace one day. But not when they were just getting past the awkwardness of a homework assignment. ”Professor Culloden is evil.” |

sorry XD After owling his parents a few days ago for some fishing line, they , of course were wondering why he wanted to have that. And of course, the Gryffindor had lied and had written that they had to go fishing for muggle studies but he forgot to buy the line. Lucky for him, they fell for it and had sent it over with the owl post. He held the line in his hand and in his pocket, hidden from view for anyone as he walked through the castle. He had to have a good spot to play out his prank of course. Finding a statue, Kevin grinned to himself as he walked around it. Not the best hiding place but whatever. He checked the corridor and saw that no one was there. Good. He didn't want anyone seeing him setting up his trap. He used a few books to trap the fishing line in between them and shoved them under the small bench. He then walked to the statue and walked around it before securing it tight with a wave of his wand. The fishing line was now stretched out in the air on ankle height not to mention that it was nearly invisible to see unless the sun shined on it. He let out a laugh and instead of hiding behind the statue like he intended to do, he leaned against it while holding a book and casually pretended to read. This gonna be goooood |
SPOILER!!: Kevin The History of Magic professor decided she needed to step out of her office and get a feel from the students or maybe just go about as normal, but she had this odd urge that she needed to be higher up in the castle than the firs floor. She had her tap shoes on, but, unusually, the urge to tap dance through the corridors did not strike her today. Still, the shoes made a soft, satisfying click-clack against the stone floor for her ears as she walked. And she carried a history book under her arm to gather a few more ideas for class. She hadn't read this one in a while and perhaps something in there would strike her as interesting or creative for a lesson. Finding herself on the fifth floor, she noticed two things a bit further down the corridor as she walked. A bench and a student. Well, the bench would be perfect for sitting and reading, and perhaps she could have a bit of conversation with the student as well. It took her a few more steps towards him before Nessa recognized who the student was. "Well, hello, Kevin!" she said brightly, giving him a friendly smile. "Good book?" she tilted her head a bit to try to catch a glimpse of the title, then took a seat on the bench, her ankle just inches from the unseen fishing line. "I was planning on doing a bit of reading myself.." |
Quote:
And then she stepped closer to the fishing line. His eyes twinkled brightly, he was biting his lower lip to not grin and then....she sat down on the bench. ..............YA! this was no fun. He closed his book and looked at her. He needed to get her to walk further through the corridor. But how? woah wait a second! He narrowed his eyes suspiciously at her and raised an eyebrow. "You're friendly ...to me.." he stated. WEIRD. |
SPOILER!!: Kevin Nessa flipped a couple pages, her brown eyes glancing at a passage here and there. She wondered what sorts of things Kevin might be interested to learn about regarding Magical History or what he liked about class so far that she might expand on. Yes, perhaps it was a good idea to venture out of her office to socialize a bit with the students and maybe get their opinions on things. She had just looked up to say something to the Gryffindor when he said something curious to her first. Smiling brightly, she said as if it were silly to think otherwise, "Well, of course I'm friendly to you, Kevin. Why wouldn't I be?" Was he worried she would still be cross over his impropriety last term? |
Quote:
"Studies" he said in a mocking voice and tsked afterwards. "I really don't care about that, i'm only interested in potions studies" No matter how much he lied, when he spoke the truth it was blunt. He looked around for anything he could think of but nothing came in mind. Maybe he just had to patiently wait and hoping she would eventually walk further. He was not going away though, the waiting would be worth it when it happened, he told himself. Trying to keep his face as neutral as possible, which was a bit difficult seeing as he kept having to bite his lip in order not to grin or laugh. So she was reading for work? how....boring was that? "Can't you just close your eyes, flip the pages and the topic that the page stops on will be the topic to discuss" or rather reenact. "That's what i would do" he said as he shrugged his shoulders. She was smiling, brightly. He hated when people smiled brightly at someone like him. Like, he was the least person to be smiling at so either she was faking or she was just like that. But still, it gave him the shivers. Why she wouldn't be friendly to him. Kevin's mouth actually dropped but then closed it after a few seconds and brushed his black hair out of his eyes. "So you're cool with that i attacked you last term?" bwahaha she had no idea that she was a target again did she? Or maybe she did and thats why she sat down on the bench? AAARGH! this was confusing! "I really didn't mean it though, i just got a bit carried away with the entrance thing" he lied. But whatever happened, he WANTED to trip someone in this school at least once. And the fact that it could possible be a Professor made everything even more cooler to him. And thats when he got an idea. It was lame but maybe she would get up and walk with him. He really was a Gryffindor huh? staying at the crime scene the whole time. hehe. "I have a request, can you tell that to the Headmistress? cause i'm sure she still dislikes me or no! we can go together, i know a short cut which is this way" he pointed with his thumb to the left of the corridor, the side of the line he was already standing in. Hmm maybe his motto should be never trust me ? |
SPOILER!!: Kevin Oh, he had something of an interesting idea on how to choose a topic for class. Of course, she would want to do something that would interest people but it almost seemed a game the way he described it. Nessa looked down at her book a moment thinking it over. "Hmm, maybe.. I might just give that a try and see what comes of it," she said with a grin, looking back up at him. But it would depend on what it ended up on as well. What he said next was slightly concerning, but perhaps it had been on the boy's mind since last term. Was he worried that she was still cross with him? "I wouldn't say I was cool with it, no.." she began thoughtfully. "I don't think anyone appreciates a sneak attacked unarmed.. but you faced the consequences for your actions and I don't see a point in punishing you repeatedly. I believe in giving second chances." Everyone made mistakes and where would they all be if they just held on to grudges instead of forgiving transgressions once they were dealt with. She nodded a bit, listening, as he explained himself. "You know, I never did get the chance to tell you how much I did enjoy the fireworks," she added with a smile. Nessa did love a good flashy show, it was the attack behind her back that she had issue with. "Did you make them yourself?" Of course, it was likely that he purchased them, but now that she knew he had an interest in potions, maybe they were his own. She looked up at him curiously as he made a request of her. "Tell the Headmistress? Oh, that you got carried away?" Nessa shook her head lightly and smiled. "I'm sure she holds the same philosophy that I do in facing consequences for one's mistakes and giving second chances to do what's right. You don't need to worry about her not liking you. She's a fair and unbiased woman.. that's why she is Headmistress." How dear he was to be worried about something like that, but she supposed that it was a fear of many young people. Misbehave and think that someone doesn't like you anymore.. but as professionals and adults, she knew it wasn't so cut and dried like that. |
