Suddenly she saw Candice who seemed lost, Angel looked up and realised they were both at the front gate, how had that happened? "Eh... I think we took the wrong turning somewhere." Angel sighed. "You were amazing today." Angel beamed at Candice. |

"What exactly do you want to study?" Potions? How come he didn't know this? Why hadn't she bothered to tell HIM? "Oh." He smiled to himself. It reminded him of his youth. "Excellent choice, then. I hope you think so as well." |

Candice turned her attention to her roomies "Yeah, I guess so." She definitely need to ask her brother to draw her Hogwarts' map. And Angel said that she's amazing? GRIN. "Thanks. You too." Hehe. "I didn't know you play Gobstone. Was it your first time playing?" |

"I have no regrets coming here, professor." Nothing that was under her control at least. But she'd spent a little too much time speaking with the professor and this wasn't her reason for coming. And since he wasn't going beyond the gates, Dora pushed off them and looked towards the lake. "Well this was a nice chat, professor. But I've got to be going if I want to be in before dark." She glanced back at him. "See you next lesson." No promises though. |
Quote:
"Good to hear." That she had no regrets. Because that would be the worst. "Oh, it was, yeah." He couldn't have nice chats with people these days. All were too sentimental or something. "Have a nice day, Miss." And after remaining there a few more minutes, he turned away to walk back as well. |
This icy, frigid, snow-filled virulent winter is beginning to esclate toward blizzard levels with a polar vortex wind chill suddenly sweeping the grounds on top of the already high snow drifts. Brrr! Best get indoors now before the snow covers you to your frostbitten nose! It looks like Hogwarts may already be in the process of being snowed in.... OOC: All grounds threads will shortly be locked in light of this snowpocalypse. You have about 24 hours to finish your RPs and get in the castle! |
Ministry Rescue RP starts here! The Ministry was coming, the Ministry was coming! Annie didn't know why this thought was so cheering, but as she stood down at the Front Gate, hugging her arms to herself and STILL wearing her winter coat, she was practically bouncing as she tried to spot SOMEONE coming down the pathway. Maybe she was just bouncing to stay warm. Yes, that was it. Bouncing to stay warm. A few more minutes and these chorts would be gone!!!!!!! Hurrah. |
snowsuit...cause why not? While the snowsuit was not exactly a necessity anymore, the astronomer still hadn't left the castle properly to get all of his suits cleaned and pressed by his beloved muggle dry cleaners, so he had to go with what he had that didn't reek of body odor - and no, no cleaning charms allowed on his suits so no one ask about that. His only concern as he made his way to the front gate with a large bag of equipment was what he was going to do once the chorts had been removed and things really started heating up. He really did not want Ministry officials to see him in nothing but a white shirt and Star Trek boxers, you know? Or the Headmistress. He really did not fancy her seeing that either. "Good day, Headmistress," he saluted the woman as he pulled out a few Galileo thermometers and began placing them around the area. His tone was just a tag grumpy. It was this woman's fault he was still here instead of getting his precious babies all cleaned up. Don't make any immediate summer plans...and all that jazz. "Medea will be down in just a few more minutes." |
MoM team ready for duty! Harmony was a bit hot upon their arrival in Hogsmeade. The sunshine was welcoming but not exactly comforting given the snowsuits they were wearing. She thought the mild discomfort was well worth it, though, considering what they'd be up against. And so the creatures department head headed towards the Front Gate of the school, slowly but with determination. She had a job to do and she was ready to get started. Once at the gate, the red head looked over her shoulder to see that the team from level four was on her heels and then gave Bryce a smile. Was he ready for this? The cold air was already creeping in and Harmony was sure it was only the start of things. But look, the headmistress and a lovely member of her staff, no doubt. Time for greetings. "Hello! I'm Harmony Skylark. Pleasure to meet you. Wish it was under better circumstances." |
Merlin knows how long it had been since he had been walking along this path but it seemed like yesterday he was running down towards the Three Broomsticks or nervously wrangling his hands as he went to Madam Puddifoot's or spending houuuuurs gazing at the plants in Dogweed and Deathcap. He had to use every fibre of his being to not run off in there for some more potted plants for his office. There was a mission to be completed. Speaking of the mission, Bryce caught Harmony's smile and gave her one of his own as he walked alongside her towards the Front Gate. It sure was hot in these snowsuits, wasn't it? Double up with the gloves on his hands and he was starting to feel very uncomfortable. MAYBE he should have thought about this beforehand. Told the others to put on their snowsuits once they met-- Oh look! People! "Hello Headmistress! Hello!" Nods for each of them. "Bryce Howell. We've brought along a very competent team with us." He raised a gloved hand to gesture towards the team. They weren't too far behind, right? |
Alexa walked through Hogsmeade towards the front gate feeling... strange. She hadn't been back since she graduated, and it brought back a lot of memories. Painful memories. Alexa shook her head. She was not about to let herself get distracted. There's work to do and she needed to stay focused. Being here was really no different than being anywhere else, really. Sure, going to school wasn't exactly what she was expecting for a first day. But isn't that what makes it interesting, the unexpected? She arrived at the front gate behind Bryce and... Harmony! She heard her and Bryce introducing themselves to the Headmistress and another teacher. Well, at least she was starting to figure out who everyone was. "Hello." She looked around for the others, because she certainly didn't have a lot to say at this point. |
Jose arrived with the team to help Hogwarts and so far the view was amazing "so this is Hogwarts " he thought as this was his first time ever being here. Sticking close to the group he tightened his snowsuit around his neck to keep out the draft, letting the department Head people do the communication work was fine with him. Nodding to the people who he had assumed were staff members he kept looking around , always good to be alert. |
EMBER WAS HERE SHE WAS. Apparating--spotty, but accurate, apparently. She was getting quite used to it because she had to do it every day for work, but that wasn't nearly as far, yeah? Armed with her snowsuit, gloves, and her wand(tucked away carefully for now) She beamed and waved at the group. She was one of the first ones! Harmony, Bryce, and someone from Environmental was here! OH! And the headmistress! She waved at her, as well. "Hi everyone!" she said cheerfully. She nodded her head politely at the headmistress. "Hi, Headmistress Truebridge! I was a seventh when you started--so---" she blushed but continued beaming. "You probably don't remember me WELL--But Ember Brighten! So nice to meet you, I guess I could say meet? Since --well--yeah---" she was babbling with excitement again. Well. She took a few deep breaths. She waved and smiled at the other professor(Airey) and just wondered whereeeee in the heck all the others were? How long did it take to apparate and then WALK here, hmm? It didn't matter, but...Ember was eager to get started with these CHORTS. She glanced sideways at the Environmental girl(Alexa) and grinned. "Hi--Ember--" she said, just in case the girl hadn't heard her introduction already. She knew she wouldn't be able to introduce herself to EVERYONE but hey--she WANTED TO KNOW EVERYONE EVENTUALLY so this was a great start! She had had some chocolate before coming--ENERGY! so whooh! LET'S GET STARTED. |
It was a wise decision not to don the snowsuit while they were still in the office, because Hogsmeade was really warm. From what he can remember, no one can apparate to and from Hogwarts, therefore, the point of entry and exit would be Hogsmeade. Max had decided to change there, as they are still required to do a bit of hiking. Max followed the rest of the group, looking around him for clues…and basically just at awe with the situation his own nephew was in. Merlin. All of them had to endure that temperature??? The architect stopped in his tracks as soon as he saw the front gate, and a small grin was on his face. Hogwarts. It has been years! Forcing himself not to go down memory lane, Max eyed the blond man planting…something on the ground, and the woman whom Howell addressed as the ‘Headmistress’. Oh. Her. Okay. Since the two Department Heads had given their salutations, Max decided to give the woman a polite nod in greeting instead. He’d ask where the students are, but seeing that the school seems to be silent…he’d assumed that they already departed. Good. Now. Where are the others? |
Oh dear, there was a good number of people already gathered at the gate by the time she arrived. Even without a watch, she was certain though that she'd made it in a decent amount of time. Tightening her coat around herself, she gave a smile and nod to those she walked by, though for the most part, her gaze was cast downwards. Especially so as she came to a stop next to Airey and the Headmistress, but for another reason entirely. "Good day," she spoke softly, wiggling toes and moving in place just a little bit. Chilly. Brr. |
As Jazz apparated to Hogsmeade, she noticed how warm it was. She felt the heat from the streets. It felt uncomfortable but apparently it was gonna be a lot colder when they got near the castle. Even when she was moving in her snowsuit she was sweating. She hated sweating. But it would give her protection. As she walked up, she noticed others made it. She even noticed Jose made it there. She went over to him since she was only familiar with him. She stood close to him and asked, "So were you sweating in Hogsmeade or was it just me?" Then she noticed the Headmistress of the school and she bowed her head respectfully. "Hello Headmistress we are here to help.." Then she noticed the chill and it was getting quite cold. She was lucky to be wearing her winter gear now. |

Shaking his head he moved a little closer to her as she was talking to the head mistress. She was very pretty and he didn't mind sticking close to this one.. |

"Hello all." Elizibeth said as she walked up to the front gate. Looking around she noticed who all was here. The headmaster, a few of the professors, and some co-workers and other workers of level 4 at the ministry. With her hand by her wand, Elizibeth gazed up at the gate. Then it came to her that her youngest brother was still here. Her job just got a whole lot more important right then and there. She was prepared for the worst to happen to them. Elizibeth had to do this for her brother. |
Ronnie followed the group to the front gate of the castle, bundled in head to toe for the bitter weather. When she reached the gate, she blinked, looking past the familiar bars towards Hogwarts. She couldn't believe she was back here. It felt like so much had happened since she had left. Sighing, she continued to stare at the castle for a minute, missing the good times she had had inside it. Turning to face her fellow workers, she got closer to the group to hear further instruction. |
My, it was warm... With her snowsuit draped over her arm, the woman looked around at the vaguely familiar surroundings. It had been quite a few years since she had been here, hadn't it? Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she joined the group, hanging near the back. She prayed none would try to talk to her out of the blue... |
moving to the forest =) Quote:
"Hello...." she greeted him anyway, with a small nod. "Good to know." They NEEDED Medea. Quote:

"Hellllllllo, Miss Skylark, I wish the same. Mr. Howell... good to see you again." The Ministry was actually going to come through for once. "I'm so grateful for yours and your teams' aid. We are just waiting on our defense professor who knows a little bit about these chorts...." Quote:

Annie gestured for everyone to come inside the gates and head to the ominous, frozen Forbidden Forest. Good thing they were doing this in daylight, right? Much less scary this way. __________________________________________________ ______ Ahhhhh, it was so good to be back here. So good. William bounced a little bit as he made his way up the path to the grounds, not even minding the sweat trickling down his back as he walked. He was here to help!!!!!! "Medea!" he greeted his old colleague as they apparently started for the forst. "Psst! Hi!" HOW WAS SHE? |
*declones* Ah yes, it would not be a complete day at Hogwarts without THAT look from the Headmistress. Jealousy, he could definitely sense it. She wanted herself a pink snowsuit. At least that was what he was going to tell himself so he didn't allow the daggers coming from her eyes to do any damage. Checking the measurements on all the Galileo thermometers he had placed around, he gave each Ministry worker a salute as they arrived but didn't utter any words to them. He was muttering to himself, however, about numbers and atmospheric pressure and the Coriolis effect and prevailing winds...things that probably went over the heads of the majority of the people present. He did pause just long enough to flash Medea a quick smile as he then went about collecting the thermometers he had set out. Inconsistent measurements. Very maddening stuff. The only thing that remained consistent was the way that the clouds were rotating around Hogwarts indicating that the eye of this magical storm was in the Forbidden Forest. Yep...already knew that. Stellar. Oh, they were moving to the forest already. Aaaaaaaaaalrighty then. Slugging his bag over his shoulder, the astronomer followed closely behind with his wand at the ready. |
*decloning too* This was it, they were headed to the forest. Harmony brought the hood of her snowsuit up and over her red hair, knowing it was likely to get quite cold as they got closer to the Chorts. She glanced behind her at the team and gave a nod of her head towards them, accompanied by her usual serene smile. This was going to go smoothly as long as they stuck together and stuck to the plan. "Alright, let's do this. Wands at the ready, everyone." After tightening her grip on her own wand, she headed after the headmistress. |
SPOILER!!: Jose :3 Jasmine giggled and found this guy quite attractive. "They are really warm.." she nodded and gave her neck some air. She needed to go into the cold air and fast. She hated sweating! As she was getting closer to the headmistress she noticed Jose was looking at her. She winked and was kind of glad she was getting attention. Her flirting was working. Quote:
