First Year Boats "First years, this way!" |
FIRST YEAR! THAT WAS HIM! DIMA TOUSSAINT! FIRST YEAR! RAAAH! Bounce. Bouncebouncebounce. Zoooooooooooooooooooooooooooom! The overly hyper eleven year old bolted through and by and between and past and around and under the crowds of people (politely, of course). Magical people! Magical like HIM. Except that he was tinier, obviously, and less advanced but more EXCITED and LOOK WAS THAT THE GROUNDSKEEPER? "Hi sir! Hi! I'm a first year! I'm going to Hogwarts! Me! And I can swim too, so if you fall out of your boat, I'll save you! Plus I have a WAND!" Did the man want to SEE it? Dima could SHOW HIM. |
Orsino had stood at the Station probably a bit longer than he needed too, but he was excited! He had to make sure Agatha got off and headed to the Carraiges before rounding up all the 1st years and walking them down to the Boats that sat still on the shore of the Black Lake. "Four to a Boat you lot! Try and make some friends. You might be Housemates with at least one of'em!" Or there could be the rare chance that all four in the boat got sorted into a different House. That's be interesting to keep track of...and he will! Has he mentioned yet that his niece transferred over?!?! His eyes will be glued on the Sorting Ceremony. Hoping that she'll be sorted into his Former House of Hufflepuff. His Ohana was a strong Ohana...That Hat can't overlook their heritage. SPOILER!!: Tousaint Kirby eyed the boy, and smiled. "You too!?" He joked, taking his wand out and twirling it in his hand. Merlin he could have used this kid if he hadn't learned how to just swim over the Summer. "Appreciate it, kid. I'll be sure to reach for ya if I can't manage to stay afloat." ....Doggy Paddle, kick the legs, and push water away with your hands....he remembered. |
They were HERE! At Hogwarts! Okay. Not really but close to it! Close enough! And the only bad thing that was really running through Kyroh's mind was the fact that he hadn't seen a three legged cow pass by on the train. Shame. But THAT wasn't important! What was important was the gigantic man who was yelling at them. AND BOATS. Kyroh looked around and noticed one boy pushing his way past out of no where. That was enough for him! Pushing the sleeves of his robe up Kyroh made a break for it toward the man and right behind the other boy, catching the last of what he was saying. "HEY I know you!" He grinned. Right? He did! He had met him before! He DIDN'T know the giant man though. But that didn't matter cause he had called for first years and Kyroh was a first year and it was TIME to go to Hogwarts. "And yeah don't worry! If you fall in the water I won't save you but he said he would so-" Kyroh shrugged. IT WAS ALL GOOD. Hesitating, Kyroh took a second before making his way onto one of the boats. If it tipped over did that mean he was no longer allowed to be a wizard!? |
Breathe,Breathe,Breathe Gump repeated to himself over and over but he was finding it rather difficult at the moment. he was literally shaking in his boots and felt as though he would pee himself. he was about to be lead to the boats and with every step that he made away from the train he felt himself about to pass out. His hands were shaking and he felt himself about to cry Still Gump stopped and waited next to another boy though this boy didn't seem nervous or scared at all. Gump looked over at the boy he was loud and the last thing they needed was someone to attract the giant squid to them. He couldnt help himself he had to warn the boy just incase he didn't know about the squid "You have to be quiet or else when we go on the boats the squid will find us and then eat us" |

people! What exactly were the weight limits on these boats, anyway? Maddison eyed the extremely large "The squid's a he and I don't think he's particularly threatening unless you bother him." Like that other dude said. So yeah, don't and you wouldn't get eaten, DUH. Though...what a story that would be. 'Dear Mom, saw a kid get eaten on the boat ride to Hogwarts. Sincerely, Maddison' Hehehe. Oh and she was joining Dima and that boy, okay? Okay. And that scared kid...was he coming too? The small brunette gave head nods in greeting and then climbed into the boat. How soon until she could see INSIDE the castle? That's were she wanted to be. |

The boy thank goodness wasn't as loud anymore. Feeling himself calm down a bit he answered the him. "My brothers says its one of the meanest creatures at Hogwarts and it especially loves first years because we're weak and cant fight back" What the other boy said made sense except the part about the squid being friendly, his brothers told him that any chance the squid got he ate first years. "Maybe the squids a test so the headmistress can find all the troublemakers before they enter the castle" That would give her a reason to keep it around. "You really think not getting in the boat is giving trouble?" if something like that was giving trouble then he would have to be more careful than usual. Gump turned to the only girl now she wasn't making any sense. "Your wrong the squid is a terrifying creature that goes around hunting first years." |

Norah could do nothing to control the huge smile spreading on her face. She was finally at Hogwarts! Every year she had waited, hearing stories of her parents' adventures, had been leading up to this moment. Well, maybe not this exact moment, but this one was pretty great too. She stepped into a boat and waited for someone to join her. She looked excitedly around at the other students making their way over, and in her excitement all she wanted to do was call out to someone so they would join her and she could finally get to know her classmates. Of course, she didn't know any of their names so she had to resort to sitting. And bouncing, of course, but that goes without saying. |
You Lot! :3 She's finally here at Hogwarts. Well, not yet. She just need to get into the boat and then Hogwarts. And looked at that extremely large Groundskeeper. If she didn't know any better she would said that he's part Giant. Was he? Wait. wasn't Agatha, the girl she met at the Platform said that her uncle is the Hogwarts Groundskeeper. This guy is her uncle. Yeah I don't see the resemblance. Candice followed the other first year towards the boat. And one of them mentioned about not being too loud or the squid will eat them. She just rolled her eyes. Boys. "Yeah what she said." Maddie was it? Now can they just ride the boat in silence? Thank you. |

That made sense. Didn't it? Though if the Squid was a she it would still make sense so Kyroh just nodded at the girl who entered their boat. HI! NICE TO MEET YOU! THANKS FOR THE SQUID INFO. The new scared guy entered their boat and started to argue. But...the groundskeeper just said- ....Though the Groundskeeper also said he ate people. So..."I think there are a lot of cannibals in the magical world." Kyroh pipped up looking toward the boy he met in Diagon Alley. That was TWO already by his count. Woaah. The boat tipped a bit as another girl came on. That was FIVE. Five was too much! But....it couldn't be that bad right? He didn't think it was till the wand-holding-best-swimmer-ever-boy started to rock the boat. Twice "Caaaan we just go now?" Any slow first years kind of deserved to be left behind. So ONWARD TO THE CASTLE. Come on boat. Move, before a sixth person came on. |
Boats. Boats! This was so cool! Boats! Riding boats on a super cool lake to a super cool castle! Hogwarts must be good, not evil. Unless this was some ploy to try and make them feel a false sense of security and then BAM. Evil. Yeah, she was onto them if they tried anything funny. But for now, she would enjoy the boat ride. But who did she go with? It was confusing. And she couldn't tell who was going in a boat with who. So she just stood staring, trying to work out what was happening. |
People in ze boat, hiii :3 The Groundskeeper was saying he ATE bad children? This earned raised eyebrows from the first year. "That'd explain why he's so big!" But not why he was so bald. Did eating little kids cause that too? Maddison wanted to ask but you don't bring up people's baldness, you just don't. As for the others in the boat, Maddie watched them with interest and smiled a bit because okay, as much as she hated it, their excitement was contagious. She wasn't bouncing, though. Maddison Cooper didn't bounce. And she didn't bounce IN A BOAT, for Merlin's sake. She held tight to the side of it as it began to rock and shot a look at the girl who'd joined them. Lucky for her, she'd just agreed with Maddie so the small brunette's expression softened quickly. Oh hey, girl from the food trolley. P.S. That tai chi stuff Dima was talking about? Maddie was interested. Did that mean he could teach her to kick butt if need be? He got a curious look for that. They'd talk later. |

Boat people <33 He ate children? WHAT?! Was that the reason he was so BIG and bold? Agatha didn't mention that her uncle liked to eat bad children. Surely the Headmistress wouldn't allowed him to eat the Hogwarts students, right? Right? Right? One of the boys in their boat said that he knew Tai Chi and decided its a good idea to do a pose while they're riding the boat. "OI!" She's planning to go to the feast with dry clothes. So no rocking the boat. And Maddie decided to bounce in the boat. She thought the girl had some sense in her clearly she's mistaken. She shouldn't took this boat. The boys in her boat clearly have GIANT SQUID'S SNACK written all over their faces. |
Angel couldn't believe it they were going in boats to Hogwarts, she had heard it was tradition but she thought the person was just pulling her leg, what happened if the boat sank or something, seriously it would have been a lot safer to walk to the place. Angel was now nervous, very nervous but excited at the same time, she just wished her sisters were around then at least she could share a boat with one of them since only two people were allowed in the boat together, that was strange as well, was the boat not designed to carry kids and if so why were they using them. |
For the groundskeeper! <3 Bummed that she had to leave her new friend Ian behind, Aubrey walked over to the boats that were clearly only for first years and waited with her sister. When would she be able to spot Hogwarts. She was far too excited about what all what waiting for her and starting fidgeting with her clothes. Was it her turn yet? She noticed a rather big man standing there and figured that he was in charge of the boats. "Hi there, I'm a first year." You know in case he was wondering or anything. "How long is the boat ride?" She was hungry and had things to see. "Do people fall out of the boat often?" Like, did she need to be concerned about it? "Can I fall out of the boat if I want to?" Come to think of it that MAY be the thing to do. "Are there magical things in the water? Like maybe a dolphin with wings that I can ride on?" Was he getting all of this? |

Kyroh and Maddie and Candice and Kirby heyyyy. "Do you think that'd make us grow bigger too? Eating other kids?" he asked Maddie, seriously examining a puny arm of his. Dima wanted to be as big and strong as his dad! Yeah! But he didn't wanna eat KIDS. That was mean. And they probably didn't taste very good. Unless you covered them with bananas and chocolate, then maybe. It seemed like someone had met the freckled boy's request, since their boat was moving now. They were going to SCHOOL! He had to keep from bouncing as to not rock the vessel again, because the other girl in there was complaining, and Dima didn't want to upset her. He tried to keep up his conversation with the Groundskeeper instead, which was really hard 'cause they were floating in different directions. How did you steer this thing?! "You won't eat US though, right?" Toussaints were not breakfast OR brunch! Suspicious looks for you, Mr. Muscle Man. |
