It was more than just moving around like a grandma.

What was she even doing? Oh yeah. "Just standing next to me will allow you to have great photos." He wouldn't have to do anything else. She tried to straighten her back and push through, but honestly she was starting to freak out a bit.

Ian was waving wildly when he heard a sharp oww! It was a little surprising but she just kind of went with it. He smiled and waved some more like one of those weird mechanical monkeys. He felt her straighten up and it helped him to straighten up some. He looked back at her and wondered who she was. He wasn't normally one to walk to someone he didn't know, but somehow felt like this might be a good thing. It certainly helped boost his confidence.

"Of course you can have the camera, and I was thinking that we could also do a cow girl theme, "Oichi said as she handed off the camera and then put on a cow girl hat and a bandana. She wanted to put together some awesome MOVING PICTURES!

She then turned to the group as a whole and said, "I like both super heroes and goofiness but that may be too little of themes. Can't we do cowboys too?".

The pictures were being snapped already? Just of them in general, yeah? Awkward Alec was awkward and he was going to do something he was good at: stand there. Awkwardly. Of course.

Wait... did his hair look okay?

... Not the time. GRIN for the camera. Hey!

Rummaging through the items, the boy pulled out a cape of his own, a red one, a draped that around his shoulders. Did he feel cool? YEAH. He was Head Boy ABS Summers, now with a cape. Did the box have a make-shift hammer, too? Like Thor's? Finding a toy one, he pulled that out and held it up. "What do you think?" The question was aimed at anyone.

Goofiness? Cowgirl? "What about..." Think. "What about we do it as one verses the other? Cowgirls or cowboys vs. Superheroes?" The goofiness theme required a bit more thinking. Just a bit. "We could make the pictures goofy on their own. I mean... they don't have to be completely serious pictures. Pull funny faces, make them weird... yeah."

... Unless... they had a different idea of goofiness?

Okay, so Hannah did not want to be in photos where she was hunched over like an old lady so she gritted her teeth and slapped on a fake smile. Why was this child still beside her? Oh well, she would just go with it. Hannah really didn't have the energy to fight with anybody at the moment.

Beaming she threw her hand on her hip and threw her head back. She tried to move her body quickly, but it just wasn't cooperating with her. She was still going to have beautiful pictures if it killed her.

As Ian stood beside this person, he realized he didn't really know who she was. He'd seen her before, but had never actually met her. He looked over and saw her with her fashion model apsmile and he figured it was ok to talk. I'm Ian. Nice to meet you. he looked a little closer and she looked uncomfortable. Are you ok?

She was not going to have another outburst, she was not going to have another outburst. This was not getting her down. The child was still talking to her, and her mind went to Adi, and that actually made her see a bit of reason.

"Hey Ian. I'm Hannah." Look at her not hexing him and stuff. Was she ok??? "No, I am not okay. I am falling apart over here." In case he didn't notice or anything. Hannah was scared to even look in a mirror these days.

Costumes were what Adi was looking forward to. "Should we go with a theme? Or we all just go random? I want to go old fashioned like stuff from the Three Musketeers or something but I don't mind trying something else.'' he asked Kace and turning around to look for his second year friends. Where were those guys? "We'll need props too.''

It would be so much easier to handle. Oh the 3 musketeers theme? Hmm...that would be interesting..." he said pondering about it. "I am so in!" he said.

"Oh yeah we will need props." he said looking around. "What kind of props do we need, i know like swords..."

Alright so they needed to get a camera and props for what they would be shooting. Adi had seemed to be getting up to get them and Ben was ready to leave his Hufflepuff friend to do just that since the woman said only one person from each group was needed. However when the other member of their group followed, it seemed they were to be thinking on their feet and moving to work together.

So Benjamin followed, listening to the idea being shared. "That would work...there are four of us." And contrary to the title there were technically 4 musketeers. As for props, the swords were definitely the main thing. "Maybe capes...hats with feathers?" the Gryffindor mused, running a hand absently through his hair.

And given the fact that the seminar leader wanted them to move onto the backdrop area, they probably should get their stuff ready...whatever they were.

FearlessLeader19 01-20-2014 11:01 PM

Benny and Kace

Alright! "Three Musketeers theme it is then,'' Adi said rather enthusiastically. "Or four rather.'' He looked at the costumes. "I guess we should just look for the capes and feather hats.'' And swords. "Who wants to do swords and who wants to do costumes?''

Adi began digging into the costumes and after some rummaging he found a black cape. "Is this going to be okay?'' Adi asked Kace & Benny. That reminded him- they needed those old fashioned boots. "Footwear. We'll need that too. Old fashioned boots if I'm not mistaken.'' In all honesty, Adi did not know much about these Musketeers. He continued his rummaging and came up with a hat with as red feather.

Even if Astrid never really tried getting an arm injury, it seemed awful because then she wouldn't be able to play Quidditch or do much with an arm on a sling. But then... Quidditch injury? For some reason, that made Astrid feel better about the whole broken arm thing. "Doesn't it show how strong a person is?" Just to lift the mood up. Astrid hated seeing people down because it made her feel sad too, apparently.

Ooooh. Goggles! "Nice," Astrid said and gave a thumbs up to Benjy. That was cool. They'll be needing the goggles for the photoshoot. So far, they had a jersey (which could be duplicated, yeah?), a few helmets, and goggles. Everything could be duplicated anyway. But for the brooms? She'd dug a little bit more but... nothing. "None. Should we ask Miss Courwell in case she has a few?" Better to be sure and ask someone who knew. Maybe they could ask her if they had the backgrounds too? A Quidditch-y background seemed better than just the plain white one to give it more of a sporty feel.

Astrid heard of that lazy model pose. She's seen lots of models do that. Did that specific pose have a name? While that question's answer remained a mystery, she was going to call that the 'lazy model pose', thanks to Mo. "I'm okay with that pose." So that Cat could hide her broken arm? It would be unfair if she wasn't on the photoshoot.

Okay, maybe not the real 'glamour shoot' double page spread photos, but it wasn't like injuries were hidden in the magazines. But then Mo came up with a great suggestion, and Benjy nodded. "Or that's a great idea too." Even if he wasn't sure where he'd fit in round a 'lazy model pose'. Sounded a bit, well, personal with the two girls. Maybe he'd watch that bit?

And hang on, had Mo said Benjy should wear the helmet? Benjy gave his Captain a playful nudge with his elbow. "You suggesting my hair isn't gonna cut it?" He shook his head lightly. "I dunno..." Actually, he didn't mind at all. Least he wouldn't risk twanging those goggles on his face. Vintage wasn't exactly Benjy, nuh-uh.

Going back to rummaging in the props box, Benjy pulled out a large flag with the Union Jack on it. "We could go for national team status," he said, holding it up with a grin. It'd work as a sort of banner, no? He draped it over the nearby wooden bench they'd be using. Still no broom to be found though.

Unless...was that a toy broom over there? "Astrid, what's that bit of wood sticking up? Just by your left hand?" If it was a toy broom, they could always enlarge it. Or use perspective to good effect. Or something. There was a reason he was in charge of kit and not styling...

No one seemed to mind having a wounded person in their photoshoot, so Cat supposed she could be a good sport and not make a fuss. "If I'm going to be in the pictures, you're going to be in the pictures too." Cat jabbed Mo's side and gave him a look. He couldn't just take pictures.

Interviews with injured players? "Maybe we can think of a gruesome story to go with it." She added to Benjy, "The more gruesome, the more interesting." Oh? Did they find a broom? Cat watched with curious eyes. Broomsticks were super important to the theme.

"The flag!" Mo nodded vehemently as Benjy pulled a flag out of the box. That would work nicely, and Mo was pretty sure that, if necessary, they could even transfigure the fabric with a team logo. Although going with a National team look was better, in a way. He waited for everyone to finish pulling their items out of the box, quietly pleased with how well the group was getting on and how nice everyone was being to Cat about her arm. Just pleased in general.

"Your hair is fantastic, Benjy. I'll wear the helmet AND the goggles, if you want, 'cause... you know the girls won't be willing to wear it," Mo said quietly to Benjy as the gestured to the wall behind their bench. Flag there, good sir, and then they could begin.

"I have a tripod with me. That's normal, right?" Mo looked to Cat for affirmation before continuing. "We can set up the camera and then all four of us can be in the picture together. Maybe the girls on the bench and Benjy and I can stand behind them and look menacing. What if we... Accio'd our brooms?" All the thoughts at once.

"I'm ready as soon as we're posed."

Oh those.....

A little more slumpy Bart headed over to them. "Maybe for extra credit we could just go to the library for real time pictures." Hopeful Bart could be the most dangerous when it came to ideas. He waited, "Now is this camera self take or do we have to find someone?" He looked around to see what the answer might be and got distracted by his nose falling off.

"Don't anyone step on my nose!!"

Where did it go..

"Oh, good point, I should ask!" Caleb said. He side-stepped the nose that just fell of Gryffieboy's face and walked over to the photo instructor lady and tapped her shoulder.

"Hi, sorry to bother you but...someone has to take the picture right? It's not magical in the sense that it can float and take pictures by itself? Or does it have a timer?" he asked. So many different photo things...

Gwen nodded. Of course they could do cowboys too. It's not like she was in charge in any way. She was probably the youngest person in this whole group. Lucas seemed about her age, but he might have been a year or two older. Oichi and Alec were definitely the near-adults in the group.

She adjusted the camera's settings for the light in the room and stepped around to the side for a different angle. Isn't that what photographers were supposed to do? Angles and lighting and things? Her grandmother had flirted with an at-home photography business once, but it had never taken off because she hadn't been all that good.

Gwen laughed as Alec held up a hammer, recognizing the super-hero he was trying to be, and snapped a picture of him. "Nice," she complimented. One vs. the other sounded perfectly fine to Gwen. She shrugged, then realized she might seem like a camera hog. She held the device out from her body. "Anybody else want a turn with the camera?" Not that she really wanted to be the subject, but she wanted to be fair to her group members.

He was on the ground searching for the nose. Where was his nose people.. Where was it!! Seeing it on the ground Bart hurried crawling around people and pushing off some of them he dove to grab it before a foot stepped on it. No shoes on the nose!

Jumping back to his feet he threw the nose back on "Awesome not broken." Yep that was a winner now that his nose was back on he was fully a clown again. Here that people BART THE CLOWN WAS IN THAT HOUSE! He looked at the library back drop way to perfect and back at Caleb. "Dude this was great!" They were going to have the best picture. He put his hand up "High five"

Watching Caleb go over to the woman he stood near their back drop and waited. Once it was free he started workig on how he was going to stand and which way he would face for the picture. Making the silliest faces he could think and the best poses. Which one was better? He had to figure this out.

Don't Blink Group. PM was sent xD

Sander was just as stumped as the rest when it came to naming any famous statues that Alex hadn't already named. Then he had a brilliant idea...at least he hoped the others would agree as well.

"Hey everybody I was thinking. If we keep this up, we're never going to get a chance to have our pictures taken. So here's what I propose, why don't we dress up as someone famous. It can be someone in muggle, magical or fantasy," Sander paused to let his suggestion sink in.

"I'm going to dress up like Peter Pan for reasons, Tessa and Lux know. Alex, remind me to tell you about that later. Tessa, since you love flying and Quidditch, maybe you could dress up to look like Jokunda Sykes or Gwenog Jones. Lux...hmmm...I guess you could dress as a Cucumber Sandwich or a cucumber," Sander tried to refrain from laughing but the laughter just spilled out of him.

"I'm sorry, Lux. You can pick whatever you want to be. Alex, you love skating, why don't you dress up as one of famous female ice skaters of all time. I'm thinking you'll know who better than I do," he suggested to Alex.

"If everyone has no objections, let's go dig in the box to see what we can find to dress the part," Sander told everyone before walking over to the box.

He dug inside and first pulled out a pair a green tights. He frowned down at it and shook his head. He'd just get Tessa to change the color of his clothes to green. He did manage to find a pair of green boots. He quickly kicked off his own shoes, pointed his wand to at the boots to enlarge them to his feet size. Then he slipped them on his feet. Perfect.

He continued to dig inside the box until he found the cap that Peter Pan was known to wear on his head. He walked back to the group. "Hello I'm Peter Pan. Tessa could you change the color of my clothes like you did at the Tower Patch?" Sander asked Tessa.

Feeling useless because she had no real knowledge of famous statues or any of that kind of thing, Lux got really excited when Sander suddenly came up with another idea. Yes. This was so much better, because it did not limit the possibilities as much, and she would have better knowledge of famous people. "You are so clever, Sander!"

She excitedly nodded, bouncing a little. "I want to be Ariel!" Ariel was famous, and Lucas called her that, so she was going to be Ariel!

Giggling as she watched him get out the stuff to be Peter Pan, she started looking through the options to see what there was available to her. "If I wear a dress, I could be Ariel when she has legs..." The idea of wearing a fancy dress did not appeal to her in the slightest, but she somehow doubted that the instructor had anything that would make her into a mermaid. Besides, it would be very hard to do a photo shoot with a fish tail.

Was that a flag? The one Benjy was holding? Astrid squinted at the fabric and... yes, that was a flag. Union Jack. They could use a few spells on that to change it to the logo of some Quidditch Team or something. Good one. Nice. They only needed a broom now, though. It was an important part of their photoshoot, after all. What's a Quidditch Team without brooms? Well, she did see some without brooms but, to her, it seemed like there was something missing. Something that lacks, you know? Did anyone get what she meant? Did anyone feel her?

... Oh? Something near her left arm? Astrid looked to her left and dug for whatever it was, before pulling it and holding it up. AH. A broom for kids! A little bit of charms could do the trick, right? "Some sort of broom made specially for toddler, I think? It's kinda smaller than the normal broomstick." Yep. That was it. "This would do, yeah?" They had nothing else so they'd have to stick with this one. It wasn't a big deal, anyway.

So, were Cat and Benjy ready? "I'm good to go," Astrid said. They found some jerseys that they could slip on. Mo was taking the photos until it was his turn, right? She looked at her fellow models. Time to start?

Lucas GRINNED.

"Your hair.. is there a yellow wig in there?" Because Thor kind of had some shiny, shoulder length locks.

The Gryffindor laughed at the picture idea. "That sounds awesome!" And there were a couple of water guns in the box too! "I think there's a Western hat in there.." And in saying that, he pulled out a dark blue cape, similar to the one Alec was wearing and found some really rather strange metallic gloves.

"So who takes the photos?" he asked everyone, out of curiosity. "Or does it take the picture by itself?"

Tessa was trying to brainstorm some ideas when Sander spoke up again. A smile slowly spread on her lips and she nodded emphatically. "That's a great idea Sander... and how did you know those would be some of my top choices?" she asked with a laugh. All of the ideas sounded wonderful, although she hoped Lux would think of a person rather than a cucumber. Granted, a cucumber would be funny!

She walked with Sander into the tent, but went to a different section. There, she found Quidditch supplies and outfits and she quickly gathered an armful of them, as well as a broom and a beater's bat. A pair of goggles were precariously balanced on her head, and managed to stay there as she walked back to where their group was. "Okay, I'm ready," she said, dumping the outfit onto the table. She began putting the gear on, thinking about changing the color of a few of them when Sander joined them.

She giggled at his boots and nodded at his question. "Sure, ready?" she asked, giving him a moment to prepare. Raising her want, she cast "Colovaria," just like she had at the Tower Patch. Instantly, the color of his clothes changed to the Peter pan green and she grinned. "How's that?" she asked, pulling on some more of her quidditch gear. She slipped the goggles onto her head, but after a moment, figured she should make her hair look a little more wind blown. She fluffed it out, frowning as she noticed a few grey hairs mixed in with all of the colors. That was odd.

Tessa grinned at Lux's excitement, which only widened at her suggestion of how she dress up. "That sounds great Cucumber!" she said with a laugh. As they all were looking through costumes, she heard Lux's comment. "Well, if you'd like, I can just do the color change charm on your pants, like I'm going to do with Sander... but I'm sure that there will be something in here that will help with your mermaid costume..." She began looking with Lux since she had already gathered up everything she needed. "Here's one thing," she said, taking out a sea shell barrette. She slipped it into Lux's hair with a smile. "Perfect!"

Have you been to the healer?

Hannah changed up her position by sticking her other hip out and instead of a smile she just stared at the camera with a serious look on her face. She didn't look angry, just dignified. She turned to Ian because he was still talking to her for some reason. "No, I have not been to the healer." she snapped. Going there would mean that there was a problem and that she needed help, and that just wasn't Hannah's style. This would go away... it just had to.

Well if he was just going to stand there beside her maybe he could make himself useful. "Could you get a fan or something and hold it for me so my hair can blow the way I want it to?" she flashed him her pearly whites. Make yourself useful kid.

Edward Penguin 01-21-2014 02:36 PM

Ian heard her sharp response and held up his hands. Sorry. Just showing a little concern. He looked at her a little closer. She looked very weary. As if it took great effort for her to be standing. He didn't feel like drawing such a harsh response again so he decided she knew what was best for her. Maybe he'd mention it to his head of house later.

She gave him an instruction and he shrugged, said ok and headed off to grab a fan as she smiled at him.

He returned shortly holding a green paper fan with an image of a phoenix on it that erupted in flames, dropped into the ashes and re-emerged from the flames in glory. He hoped it was the kind she was looking for. He held it up and then began to move the fan up and down close to her hair to make it move. It seemed silly to make your hair move, but what did he know about fashion photography?

Not sure how to take him, Hannah just eyed him and kept her mouth shut for the moment. He was apologizing so there was that. Besides, Hannah wasn't really mad at him. She was just mad at the fact the she didn't know what was going on with her body. "It doesn't matter." Lets just move on.

She watched as he ran off to get what she wanted. This was nice. She had to bite her tongue so she wouldn't call him a good boy. Still she recognized someone that could come in handy so she would be a bit nicer to him. He didn't get exactly what she wanted, but it would do. She moved back and forth with her hips alternating her hands over her head to her hips and rubbing them through her hair. "Thanks for that." Feeling a tad bit bad she called him over. "Come here." He could at least get some pics next to her. "Follow my lead." Serious poses. She grabbed his arms and positioned them where they need to be. "Don't smile." Oh yes... she was bossy, but if you were going to be in picture with her you were going to look good.

He nodded when she said it didn't matter. Of course it mattered, but he wasn't going to tell her he thought to himself.

He grinned that she showed appreciation for his fan fetching. You're welcome. Of course the young huffie boy didn't really have any concept that he might appear to be an errand boy. He was just happy to be helpful. He did as he was instructed as she began to show him how to pose and place him in 'proper' position. When she said don't smile, he did his very twelve year old boy best to not smile. Of course this was a little fun as he enjoyed the Elton John persona and he felt like he should be a little flamboyant. He could imagine being Elton John and Kiki Dee singing Don't go breaking my heart in the seventies. He wondered if he should ask if she wanted to sing with him. He decided it might ruin the moment and tried to maintain a serious face during the session until she told him differently.

She was already thinking what pieces she might be able to use for her costume. Everyone else seemed pleased with the idea too and they were busy gathering the items that they needed.

After giving it some thought, Alex decided that she wanted to be Michelle Kwan. She was an American skater who had won many, many championships. Alex had seen video of her and thought she was the most beautiful skater she had ever seen. Looking through the costumes and props, Alex found a leotard and flowing skirt that could serve as her skating costume. Wondering what she was going to do about skates, she was surprised to find a pair in one of the boxes. Satisfied with her costume, Alex looked around to see how the others were doing.

She thought it was time for some more of the fan. "Okay now we can look happy." She charmed the fan to continue to blow for them and to hover in just the right position without anybody having to hold it. She could have done that in the first place, but it was fun to have people fetch her things. Hannah Lockwood was royalty and should be treated as such. "Now, I'm going to stand here like so and you move all around me in whatever kind of poses you want." See, she was letting him choose something. "Just be mindful of the fan so your hair doesn't look dumb." Yup, that was all. Now get going.

This was getting to be kind of exciting. Here he was with this pretty older girl and she was giving him instructions about what to do. It sure was easier than having to try and decide for himself. He had never really looked at any of those 'girly' fashion magazines and so his impression was overly skinny girls who posed weirdly with perfume or beverages or some other thing that didn't really make sense to him. Why couldn't they be like his sports magazines or quidditch journals and show people doing things that mattered?

He saw her enchant the fan and then told him to move around her and pose however he liked. He thought she should be the star of the photos and so he walked around and kind of gestured with his hands toward her, maybe throwing in a bow here or there and occasionally stand next to her, even though he was a little shorter than she was.

So Hannah had him do this partly because she felt like she was the main event and partly because she didn't think she could move too well, and she for sure knew that it would take her far too long to accomplish much of anything so this was just better. As the fan was going and Ian was moving two things happened. The first thing was that the fan just so happened to move her hair directly in her line of vision and what she saw brought pure horror to the seventh year. The second thing was that her worse fears were confirmed, there was something seriously wrong with her. She had grey hair!

"IAN!" she grabbed him with both hands on his shirt. "Do you see this? her mad eyes looking directly into his. She was crazy right? This was not happening. This had to be some kind of trick with the light. "Tell me this doesn't look grey to you!!!" Hannah was still clutching the boys shirt. She was in shock.

But Caterina decided to roll with it. The truth was a downer and she didn't want to be a downer. She gave Astrid another and much bigger smile. She liked this girl, she was nice and Cat appreciated nice people. They were going to have to talk more. In the dorm, or something. Not right now, cause they were busy and all, plus, boys. Girl talk with boys around wasn't the way to do things.

Girl Code.

"A gruesome story?" Benjy gave her a little smirk. "I'm sure were can do that." He tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Forced into the stands by a rogue bludger? Attacked by Rabid Badgers? Chased by a real fire-breathing dragon mascot?" Hmm. Getting anywhere close? There was a reason he wasn't on the staff of the student newpaper or yearbook. His suggestions weren't exactly gruesome, were they?

Oh good, they liked the flag. And that WAS a toy broom. Awesome! A tad on the small side, sure, but definitely better than nothing. A Quidditch shoot without brooms was...well, not Quidditchy? Especially in the absence of the balls too. He stood up from the props box, and stretched as he headed back to the others.

Benjy flicked his hair for show, with a chuckle. "Nah, I'll helmet it up. Can't have the Captain over-protected. It'll make you look vulnerable, helmet AND goggles no where near the pitch." And you never made your team leader look vulnerable. Even if this was only a photo shoot for fun. And with that, he ran a hand through his hair to pull it back from his face, and then pulled the helmet on over the top. "There," he said with a grin, and tufts of hair sticking out at random angles out the sides and back.

Jumping over their bench, Benjy grabbed the flag. "I can do menacing," he replied to Mo, as he unfurled the flag and held it up to the girls. "So, straight? At an angle?" Help? It'd be neither if they left him to it...

Today's the first day we've met and I don't know what your hair looked like before. He felt bad for her because she seemed really distressed about it. He added, as he looked closer at her hair, It does seem a different color than the rest of your hair.

He didn't know what her hair looked like before? Was he serious? It really didn't matter if her hair was red, brown, black or blonde it definitely wasn't grey before. She was seventeen for crying out loud. What was this different color that he was going on about? Didn't he understand the importance of her question? No, no, no, NO, NOOOO!" she shrieked. "I NEED you to focus." She had to try really hard not to shake him.

"If you had to say a color... what would you say this color is?" She thrust her hair into his face. He was not going to get out of this question. Hannah had to know. Although, what she would do when she had her worse fears confirmed was still a mystery!

Ian heard her chastise him and it un-nerved him a little. Here they were, having what he thought was a good time and she had started in on this about her hair. She still maintained the grip on his shirt and held him and she was quite insistent that he 'focus'. Like that was a difficult choice right now with her having hold of his shirt and staring right into his eyes. It was kind of like the cobra swaying to get it's prey to be hypnotized. He couldn't really move right now if he had wanted to.

She asked him to describe the color of her hair. He looked at it and began to stammer out an answer. W-w-w-w-ell. I-i-if I had to choose one... he started and then stared at her hair, because really it was like two or three colors. Which one did she want to be. ...mostly blonde. I think I see a couple streaks of silver, but if I had to choose one, it would be blonde.

He was stammering, did Hannah frighten him? Most likely she did, but that was not important at the moment. Her hair was the only thing on her mind. Surely IF there was major problem it could be fixed with a simple potion right? Yes, yes of course. This would be be an easy fix. She was not going to go over the deep end.

Finally Ian was making sense. Her hair was mostly blonde, she could deal with that. She had streaks of brown so it would make sense that he saw more than one color, but then she heard the word that she hoped would never escape his mouth... silver. "That's just a nice word for grey." Silver was not a color that should be on her head.

She was not going to have a meltdown. "Okay, okay... let's continue." Acting as if what had just happened was not out of the ordinary at all. "Back to posing." She stood there with her fake smile plastered back on her face and her eyes looking mad as ever.

She did say something about nice word for grey, but he didn't really think anything of it. All this meeting people and talking to people was a little over-rated. Couldn't they just get back to ....

She said let's continue and he took her hands by the wrist and asked, Do you want to pose with your hands like this? She was smiling, but it didn't seem to go any further than her mouth.

fake lasso.. that sounded great. "Here ya go" while he threw his hand in the air and started to swing it like he had a lasso in his hand. then he decided to ride a fake horse. "yeeeehhhaaawwww" he said while moving his legs.

Bay stood still for a second, my dad.. you know he's never thought about what his father did for work. "Im not sure.. I know he works for the Ministry but like he works from home and his office is on the top floor of our house with his bed room…..I'm not allowed to go up there… Third floor is off limits for me" maybe he should try to figure out what his father did.. maybe during the summer he can sneak up there and see his work.. "Once I know though i'll let you know" he told her.

Okay….right….they were taking pictures and Bay wanted to keep up his end of the bargain and do the best he could.. More poses were coming Ella's way.

Ella couldn't help but laugh as Bay went through the cowboy motions in front of the camera, snapping away so she could catch all of the action. These pictures were going to be great once they were developed, especially since they'd capture his motions. That's what really sold the cowboy thing, she thought. "Yeehaw indeed!" Grin.

"That's mysterious." How Bay didn't know exactly what his dad did. Ella wasn't sure she'd have enough self control to stop herself from snooping to find out if it were her. She smiled a little and shrugged at what he said next, replying cheerfully, "Only if you want. It's not really my business, yeah?" She didn't mean to pry, was just curious is all.

Snapping a few more times as they chatted, Ella offered, "My dad is a book publisher." Just in case he'd been wondering.

Oh yes, of course she would need to pose. It was as if her brain had disconnected from the rest of her body. She felt like she was going to spaz at any moment. Just keep smiling she told herself. "That's fine." Whatever.

She suddenly wanted this photo shoot to be over so she could run to her common room and inspect every inch of her body. Maybe Ian didn't know his colors. One could always hope right? Now she was the one who needed to focus. All she had to do was get through this photo shoot.

He watched her and she suddenly seemed very nervous. He wasn't quite sure what to do. He just did the first thing that popped into his head. It was impulsive and weird and altogether unlike him and it happened too quickly. He pulled her wrists to the side and released them before stepping closer to her and hugging her. Once he had his arms around Hannah, he stood there, not quite sure what to do next.

Oh, wow these people are crazy awesome, the photos are gonna be so fun
"Oh, my, Alec, you look great, I love Thor, I think I may try Loki if the helmets in there. Loki was a hero at times and we can do villians too. As for who is taking the pictures, Gwen asked first but we could share the camera". Oichi looked and actually found a Loki helmet and put it on. "Wow, is this bag of goodies like the one from Marry Poppins", Oichi said with a chuckle as she started to pose in the awesome Loki helmet.

Lizzie was pleased they'd decided to participate, even those who didn't really want to--yes you Silent Pretty-- were getting into it...if not a bit awkward while they were. Lizzie wouldn't protest to this. No, instead, the woman raised her camera and began taking shots, getting every change of their bodies. For non-professionals they weren't half bad...not in a group anyway.

"Yes! Yes! Work it! Brilliant!" Snap. Snap. Snap.

Lizzie just kept snapping, almost forgetting they were under a time crunch. Glancing down at her watch, she found they had a bit more time but she didn't want it all spent on the shoot. They still had one more activity to get done! The woman took a few more shots just to satisfy herself then lowered the camera with a wide grin.

"Excellent! You all have faces for the camera!" And they would see in a minute.

"Can I have everyone's attention? Yes I know you're having a lot of fun, but we need to move into the tent and get these developed. Finish up your shots then meet me in there." Had to be loud enough to ensure they all heard.

She gave the group a once over then ushered for her own group to follow her inside.

Take the last few shots guys then have you charries head into the tent in the back of the room. We're moving to the final activity.

"Perfect!"

Lux was really happy that Tessa liked her idea of dressing as Ariel, and she beamed when the sea shell barrette was put in her heir. "It's so pretty." She was not one to really be big on fancy hair pieces, but shells were pretty, and she did like having barrettes in her hair.

Hearing the instructor call out that they were running out of time, she sighed and picked up a fancy looking blue dress that she had found in the pile. "Thanks, Tessa... but I don't think we have time for that. This dress will be okay." She could bear with it and be Ariel with legs.

Kace was glad to be working with these guys. He seemed to think this photo shoot would be awesome. "Yeah the four musketeers in action. Oh yeah they had hat with feathers and capes." he said agreeing with Benjamin.

Kace nodded and said, "Yeah the black capes would work." Then Kace went in to fish in the costume bin. "I think i found some shoes.." he said digging them and tugging on them to get it out. "What do you think?" he asked holding black boots. "I think i can make copies of them." he grinned. He knew one charm his mom taught him.

Click! Click! While nobody else had asked for the camera when she offered it, Gwen snapped pictures like crazy. It was getting pretty funny in here. Thor and Loki and water guns and wigs.

Gwen took a ton of pictures. Maybe after they were finished she could put them into a collage. That would be fun, and she could make copies for each member of the group and maybe even one to send home. "Do you want to take pictures?" Gwen asked Lucas. Just because he'd asked how they took them. And maybe she should be in at least one picture if she was going to send them home.

Oh! It was time to develop the pictures! This was the make-them-move part, right? Or maybe they developed them like muggle photos, then charmed them to move? Gwen didn't know. "Are we just about finished, guys?" She asked her group. She had plenty of shots here with superheroes and cowboys and the two groups warring, and just a few candids of the group getting ready. Did they want to take a few more, or were they good?

OH. They had to take pictures NOW or they wouldn't be able to move on. Well in that case, guess it was solo shot time!

Mo finished setting up his tripod as the other three figured out how to hang the flag and set up their positions on the bench (and behind it). The nice thing about being a group of four sixth years was that advanced magic was possible, that they didn't need anyone to be in charge or fall behind... and that they didn't have to figure out how to bolster anyone up to the proper height.

Except Cat, 'cause she was kitten-sized. "Okay, we're all set here. I'm just going to turn the timer, and you three get into position..." Mo slid on the goggles and one of the jerseys as he waited for everyone else to get situated, and then he pushed the button and scurried into place.

The shutter closed several times in a row, and only then did Mo realize his hair had to be a MESS. Why hadn't his stylists fixed him? "Don't smiiiiiiiiiile," Mo said in that 'say cheese' voice he hated, and he tried to affect one of those Quidditch player man-of-steel faces instead.

Did they look awesome? "Any other poses we want to try, 'cause we have a minute before we go into the tent and develop all our photos."

Tessa heard the instructor call out that they needed to wrap up and winced. They really needed to get a move on. Picking up her camera, she started snapping away at the group, getting some candid shots as they put the finishing touches on their costumes or conversed. She even took a few selfie shots, shouldering her broom or looking out as if she were about to go on a long adventure.

"Come here guys, start posing," she said, and started taking pictures of them- whether they were ready or not. "Come on," she said, tossing the camera to one person. She hoped on her broom and began to pose with the others. She started off sitting, but threw in a few more poses- hanging upside down from her broom by her knees, flying a quick loop-de-loop around, among other little tricks. "Get my good side?" she teased to the camera holder. "Not that I have a bad side," she joked mostly.

She glanced around them, wondering what other poses they could do before their time completely ran out. She was sure there were some good shots in there, but it couldn't help to take more- just in case.

Then she handed cameras to the others so that they could get a few shots in before the Professor called time. This was definitely speed photography at its best.

Sander immediately went into pose mode when Alex and Tessa started shooting pictures of them. "Okay time for you ladies to have your pictures taken," Sander took the camera from Tessa and began taking pictures of all the ladies together. "Remember smile....and DON'T BLINK!" he grinned at all of them.

He was having so much taking pictures of his group that he was disappointed when he heard the instructor tell them that they had to stop and join her in the tent.

"Okay everyone one group shot. I'm going to put this on self timer. So get into your favorite position." Sander told everyone as he found a place high enough to place their camera on. Then he looked through the viewfinder, focussed to make sure everyone was in the shot, then set the timer and rushed back to join his group.

"Smile everyone....and don't blink," he muttered to everyone and then the flash went off. Picture Perfect.

"I guess it's time for us to head into the tent now to develop our pictures. I'm sure all you ladies look awesome in them. Alex, you look great in that ice skating outfit, Cucumber I much prefer you as Ariel instead of a Cucumber and Tessa, you're the epitome of a Professional Quidditch player," he grinned at all of his friends.

As for him, he hoped that at least he looked more like Peter Pan than Kermit the Frog.

Not enjoying having her picture taken - especially in a dress - Lux put on a brave face as she posed for various pictures with her friends and even snapped a few of them. Throwing in a few selfies at the end, she felt that they had all done a good job with the photo shoot and that she shell in her hair was really pretty and she wished she could keep it.

She smiled at Sander. "You make a really good Peter Pan, and I think everyone else looks amazing in their outfits as well!" They were an amazing group, and they had managed to pull everything off in no time. Go them!

Since they were finished everything, she made her way towards the tent.

Gwen/HBABS, etc

He didn't even realise he was getting papped until he saw Gwen move past him with the camera. "Hey!" he laughed, "I'm not pooooosing!" And then pulled a ridiculous pose.

But yes. They were finished. THEY WERE AWESOME.

He beamed and followed everyone back to the tent. "So, so, do you think we'll make them move?" Wasn't that the whole point? THE EXCITEMENT! "How cooooool."

Bay swiped his hand in the air. "dont worry about it.. And ill will tell yeah because im curious too." Ella seemed like she was going to be a good friend to Bay so he smiled even more. "oh thats awesome i love to read, what kind------ bay couldnt finish his sentance, the gryffindor prefect was asking tem all to finish up and move into the tent. " you think were all done so we can have these awesome pictures devloped. " moving away from the camera he took off his hat, oh great hat hair.

It seemed that was something they shared, their curiosity. Ella smiled and nodded, snapping again to capture the hand swipe. It was something her Gran did, that gesture, and she wanted it caught on camera.

Then Bay was asking something else but they were instructed by the instructor and Ella turned her attention to her, head tilted to the side. Oh, time to develop the pictures? Cool. "Yeah, I think we did pretty well." Grin!

The blonde removed her hat too and smoothed her hair, knowing it was probably a mess. She wasn't pleased about this but they had things to do. She'd make her way directly to the Prefects' bathroom after this to sort it out.

Grabbing the camera, the blonde motioned the Gryffindor to join her as she walked into the tent. "It'll be nice to see how these turned out. I bet they're funny." Not their faces, of course, more their mannerisms in the pictures.

Gruesome story? Astrid blinked. She didn't really get the point of why they needed to have a gruesome back-story so that Cat's broken arm was there for a reason. I mean, it was just a photoshoot right? Perhaps it would understandable that it was a Quidditch injury or something. Maybe they might just overlook it, but nah. That didn't seem likely. But anyway, they were supposed to like start the photoshoot now, yeah? They had the brooms, helmets, and jerseys.

Right. Astrid took a jersey and put it on. Yep, she had the Quidditch feel now, didn't she? And the flags too, they added to the atmosphere. "I feel like a Quidditch star." How random, but yes. She really felt like one, especially since they had to have a photoshoot and all that while wearing these gear. She tried to imagine like this was a photoshoot for the cover of a famous international Quidditch magazine so that she could have the feel of being a model.

OH, and the timer was starting. Yes, yes. That was the cue. Astrid looked at the camera and no smiling. Yep. Gotta do that "lazy model" pose that they had planned on earlier. And.... SNAP! Yes! First photo done. Guess they had a few more minutes to take a couple more shots because she totally heard Miss Courwell calling them or something. Gotta hurry up.

Other poses? Hmm. "What about you and Benjy do the back-to-back pose and cross your arms? Like real bros?" Astrid said. Because, why not? Anyway, they were going to be future Quidditch superstars and their names will be on the front cover of Quidditch Weekly one day. Can you see it? Because Astrid could.

Was Alec glad that they understood exactly who he was trying to be? VERY. Making references was a good way to determine what kind of people he was around. And Lucas was right, he needed a wig or a way to change his hair. Where was Minerva Wheatborn when you needed her?

He missed Wheaty.

Shaking his head, the boy rummaged around in the box until he pulled out a blonde wig. AWESOME. Three of his favourite people in the world were blondes. He plopped the wig on -- making a certain Aparecium article from last year true for the time being -- and adjusted it until it was on properly. There. He GRINNED at the others. Looking good?

... Good enough to have his picture taken. He posed. Awkwardly. Holding up his hammer and trying to look like the Norse God that he was trying to impersonate. Could they keep the items on? Because look how GREAT everyone looked! Lucas with the blue cape and Oichi with the Loki gear. He probably couldn't call her brother or sister, could he? Shame. Awesome choice in the Loki gear.

Were they finished? Pictures had been taken? Yeah? "Looks like it! Great job on taking the pictures, by the way, Gwen." And look at how excited Lucas seemed. The boy got a hair ruffle from the Hair Ruffler before he looked over at Gwen. "Yeah, I think so! But before we do that... let's all try and take one big group picture, yeah?" Because Gwen hadn't been part of the pictures and it was only fair to have one with all of them.

They were outside the tent and needed to wait for Ms Courwell to give them the signal so... perfect setting? "Okay, everyone, gather round and... we'll take a normal picture and then a ridiculous one, yeah?" He took the camera from Gwen and fiddled with the adjustments and options so that it would go off after... five seconds? That was enough, right? Setting it down on the nearest table so that the lens was facing the others, he rushed back towards the group and wrapped his arm around the nearest person.

... And... "Say cheese!" GRIN.

... He was cheesy, wasn't he?

Yes, Gwenhwyfar Jensen had just gotten praise for her picture-taking. And from the best student in the school. She giggled at Lucas's antics, and was glad that Oichi seemed to have the same collage idea as Gwen did. Because she didn't want to be the weird kid who made a collage for people she had just met and was in a group with for an hour.

Alec took the camera and Gwen shook out her wrists. She wasn't used to holding something up for that long. Oh! They were taking a group shot! She took a step back to be in line with her other group members and leaned close, shifting her hair behind her face so she could be seen. Smile and FLASH!

"Now a ridiculous one?" she verified trying to choose the best crazy-face she could do. She stuck her tongue out and opened her eyes really wide, tossing her arms above her head like she was cheering for something. That was ridiculous enough.

"I hope we get to keep the pictures we made. If not, I'm sure the instructoor will allow us to make duplicates. I definitely want one to add to my album." Sander added. Yes he wanted one to help remind him of the wonderful time he was having here in Hogwarts and of the friends he had made while he was here....not that he needed reminding. His heart and thoughts of them would always be with him for as long as he lived.

Sander smiled fondly at each and everyone of his group as he headed into the tent with them.

She hoped one day that someone taking this class would want to dress up like her- and that thought sent a shiver down her spine. Some day...

But, for now, she had to focus on the present.

"We did look amazing," she said, bouncing up and down next to Lux. "I can't wait to see what the pictures looked like." She hoped that they would be able to keep one or two of them- she wanted to have something to remember her time here. She never knew when her father was going to say they were going to move again... but once again, thoughts for another time. She walked with everyone up to the tent, wondering what was next.

Lux laughed at both Sander and Tessa. She was happy, because even though she had not wanted to dress up and do this shoot, her friends had managed to make it a lot more fun. Honestly, she did not want to be in any dresses, and it was generally very difficult to get her in one but she had managed to do it today.

"Don't forget about me, Sander! I want to be a Quidditch player too!" It was so cool that she had the same dream as Tessa and Christmas, it made her even happier since they were so amazing people who she really liked.

Oh, yes. She was having a lot more fun now because of her friends. "I really liked working with all you guys, and I don't really want to see what my pictures look like, because they will be gross... but I want to know how all yours will look!" She tried her best to be patient as she waited to hear what the next instructions would be.

"Well then that's good to hear you already know what you have planned for the future. Tessa promised that if we ever happened to be playing in the same city, or if either of us were playing near each other's homes, we would visit each other. Maybe you can do that too, Lux." Sander grinned down at the younger Hufflepuff he now considered his little sister.

Acting like he was jumping around or well really jumping around, pushing on his nose, sticking out his tongue, anything he could really think of.

Once it seemed he was done he moved over towards Caleb and reached out his hand. "Your turn. Give me the camera." He wondered how he was going to make this work without the clown to make faces at. "Maybe we should ask someone to take it for us, we dont' have to use just the lady right?" Just a thought at least.

"We could, or I could just do some serious model poses," Caleb said with a grin after taking a few good pics of him doing his clown business. "Here, let's take a few and then I'll call out for someone!"

He walked into the set and grabbed his journal. He opened it and held it in front of him, then scratched his chin like he was making some intense discovery. Then he looked at the camera very seriously, like he was on a soap opera. Then he sat down in a nearby chair, crossed his legs seriously, and did the chin scratchy thing again.

He looked so hot. He was sure of it.

"ANYONE WANNA TAKE A PICTURE OF US? PLEASE?" he asked after he'd done a few shots. Anyone? Anyone?

Lizzie watched the last of them trying to get in a few pictures even after she'd said to head to the tent. It wasn't a BIG issue but they really needed to be moving along if they wanted to be on time with this thing. Lizzie gave another clap of her hands, getting the attention of those who still remained outside the tent. "Alright Darlings, we really must be going. Snap the last shot, last, absolute last and head into the tent." She urged before, herself, disappearing into the tent.

Once inside she paused a moment to let her eyes adjust to the light before looking to those gathered at the large table in the remaarkably large tent.

"Now that we've gotten one exciting aspect out of the way, we move to the next; developing! As some of you mentioned earlier, there's a special potion used to get the photos moving, the Devomotion Potion." And smiles to the students who'd brought it up, yes, she remembered who they were among all the faces.

"Infront of you all are containers with the solution, this is what you'll be soaking your photos in. If there are any questions you're free to ask, otherwise, get to work and be careful not to get finger prints on them!" GRIN.

Alex headed to the tent with her group. She was confident that the were able to get some really good pictures during their photo shoot. Alex hated having her picture taken and usually tried to be the one taking the pictures instead. She was really glad that she had been in a group with people that she liked. That made everything a lot easier.

Addressing everyone in the group, Alex said "Thanks you guys". "That was lot fun." She couldn't wait to see what they had to do to develop the pictures. This Seminar had turned out to be more enjoyable than Alex had imagined.

Sander listened as the instructor gave everyone their instructions. Yes it was time for them to develop their pictures. He picked up a container and brought it over to where the others were waiting.

"Now's the moment of truth. Time to see what we've taken. Who wants to do the honors of developing our prints. I have a pair of tweezers here so that you won't get your fingerprints on the film," Sander held up a pair that he always kept in his backpack.

Okay....volunteers here.

"You know, I thought about it- but since I'm not quite famous yet, I didn't think it would go with the theme," she replied with a grin. However, give her a few months... and she would be famous.

"Agreed," she said, smiling at Sander and gently bumping him back. She smiled as Lux joined their conversation. "That's true Lux! Next time, we'll just come as ourselves!" She laughed, her thoughts drifting to the future for a moment. It would be so fantastic- her and Lux and Cucumber traveling the world for Quidditch. She could see them all getting together to discuss the year's competitions. Or meeting with Sander in some random country... the future looked bright!

But, time to focus on class...

Developing time! She couldn't wait! She was almost bouncing in her spot as the instructor explained the next part of the process. Even before Sander spoke, she had gone off to get the materials that they would need. "Here we go," she said, placing the container down of the Devomotion Potion. "Yes, no finger prints, we want to see all of your smiling faces," she said, looking at the print developing. She looked around- if no one else volunteered, she would.

Oh, Beverly remembered him. Yes, she did. And she had to keep a mellow face in order to not grin at the memory. What? It had been amusing and girls need to stick together...whether they knew each other or not.

There was Bart too. And they were acting all weird. She was going to regret this later. Beverly stepped in their line of range and raised her hand slowly.

"Erm, I can do it." You know, house mate and all. And Bart. He was cool in her books since he melted toys in ovens.

And she was taking chances. That's about all that her brother repeated in his letters. Don't hide. Have fun. Okay. Yeah. Whatever.

Bart took the pictures as Caleb did his journalist thing. Snap.. Snap.. snap. So when he got up he watched as his fellow second year called out to the crowd about taking their picture. Yes someone should really come and do that because it was going to be totally epic. He patted Caleb on the shoulder, "Awesome idea mate"

He looked around and not for long when he saw Beverly and gave her a smile. "Hi Beverly, you don't mind taking our picture." This was going to be great now they could be in the picture together and have some fun. That was awesome. He handed over the camera to the Slytherin girl and walked over to the backdrop.

"Caleb where do you want me to stand?" He'd let him decide because Bart could be nuts anywhere just point to the place.

Listening to the instructor explain what they were going to do next, Lux got rather excited. Oh boy. This was what she had been waiting for; it was the process of making the pictures move that interested her. That was why she had come to the seminar.

As Tessa went to get the supplies, she raised her hand in reply to Sander asking for volunteers. "I will try it. But I've never developed photos before, so I might not be very good at it." If they preferred, she did not have to do it.

Flag hung, Benjy pulled the jersey on awkwardly over the helmet already on his head. Yeah, yeah, he should have taken the helmet off first, but time was of the essence and he wasn't thinking straight. As it was Mo had already mention the timer.

He put his hands casually on his hips just in time for the first click of a shot being taken, and by the second one he'd actually managed to think about his facial expression. There was a steely look in his eyes, and a grittiness in his jawline. Or, that's what he was aiming for, anyway. He was far from being an actor, and had never modelled in his life, so who knew what it actually looked like. It felt cool though, that was for sure.

Oh, and other poses? Benjy nodded at Astrid. "That sounds cool, and then we could do an equivalent with you girls..." Just maybe a little cuter. He didn't added that bit aloud, but he definitely thought it. They were girls after all. He turned side on to the camera, folding his arms across his chest. "Like this?" He narrowed his brow a little, imagining that he was trying to psyche out one of the other teams.

How awesome would it be to pose for Quidditch Weekly for real?

"Anything else quickly?" Cos they could sneak in one or two more last last shots, right?

Once he had his arms around Hannah, he stood there, not quite sure what to do next.

Still not completely there, it took Hannah a moment to realize what was happening to her. Once it registered in her brain that this child was hugging her, her eyes about popped out of head. "What are you doing??? she hollered. Hannah tried to get her arms to work to push him off of her, but of course her arms were going at a snails pace and boy were they sore. "Get off of me!!!" Did she look like the kind of girl that would take kindly to hugs???

Was this even real life? She felt as if everything that was happening to her this term was like a page out of a horror story. She was very close to going over the edge. She was going to have a mental breakdown at the tender age of seventeen. She faintly heard something about moving into a tent or something, but she couldn't move at all.

DaniDiNardo 01-25-2014 11:29 PM

Were they done? Were they almost done? They had to be because time was up and she had to get moving again, other engagements and all. Lizzie clapped her hands together to get their attention. "Alright everyone, finish this up, this concludes the seminar, thanks for coming. If you'll look to the centre of the table there's a container of Devomotion Potion that you lovelies can keep!" This shouldn't have been the end of their photography careers.

"You've all been brilliant today and can expect me to owl your photos to be collected by your Headmistress." She could have developed them here but she was busily watching them to make sure they hadn't ruined their own work.

Overall, she'd classify this a success!

Thanks for coming guys!! ^_^
