Alright he had to trick someone. That shouldn't be too hard. He use to be good a pranks and trick, but recently he just didn't want the effort, but now it was homework to do it. How cool was that? Not that he was sure of himself with his daydream after the last daydream made him uncomfortable in the classroom. He would so have to focus a bit better this time around and not have the same daydream, especially if someone else was going to be seeing it.

He pulled out the cookies that his mom had made and pulled his wand, making a circle around the cookie, "Sentio Somnium" Thinking about his daydream he saw a purple wisp come from his wand and go to the cookie. Did that mean it worked? He thought maybe it did. Now who to give it to that was the next question.

Braith McCormack 02-09-2014 02:56 AM

Time for a little break from his research and Braith thought about getting something to eat. It wasn't quite dinnertime so he didn't want to go to the Great Hall to sit and wait until it was the proper time nor did he want to make anything himself. And the only thing in his office that was remotely edible were the peppermint toads he kept for the students. He wasn't going to eat any of those.

Instead, his mind wandered to the cookies Josephina had provided for a staff meeting a couple months ago. And, being that her office was so close to his, he took a quick walk down the corridor, in search of cookies. Before he got there, Braith spotted one of his students with... a cookie? Hmm, maybe he had visited the Muggle Studies professor himself. "Afternoon, Mr Maroon," he greeted the Gryffindor with a smile as came upon him.

Bart was still looking at his cookie. Would this really work? Would the person see the creek at his mum's house that had the frogs he played with and possibly his dog shadow and even Luc helping catch the frogs? He was hoping that's what the daydream would be and not another snogging captain Alice, because that would be so embarrassing if someone else got to see that. Like really he wouldn't be able to face that person again.

He looked up hearing his name. It was Professor History Man, Bart gave a nod, "Sup" he scratched at his beard. Could he give a professor the daydream cookie? He could maybe get detention for tricking a staff member, but it could be fun. WHAT IF IT'S THE ALICE SNOGGING DAYDREAM THOUGH! His brain screamed about this, which gave his bald head a headache. Shuffling his frog slippers on the floor he decided to go for it. "What are you doing professor? I don't usually see you out and about." Not that he looked for professors, because clearly he didn't. He avoided them at all cost.

"Hey professor History Man would you like a cookie? I have a few so if you like want one I could share." He lifted the charmed cookie towards the man. Would he take it?

Braith returned the nod to the boy, then tilted his head a bit as he eyed him curiously. Halloween had been a couple months ago, but he supposed kids this age, especially boys, liked to wear disguises and such for fun or pranking or something. "That's quite the beard you're growing there," he said with a chuckle. Surely it was a fake along with the bald cap he was wearing, unless it was a spell or potion gone awry. Perhaps the boy's next words would be telling.

He shrugged at Bart's question. "Just out for a walk. In search for a snack actually." His eyes fell on the cookie in the child's hand. No, he wasn't hinting for it. Just happened to be coincidence that the kid had one and that was what he was looking for. Braith looked hesitantly at the cookie as Bart offered it to him. Oh he had a few? He guessed it wouldn't hurt to relieve the boy of one of them. "If you don't mind, I wouldn't either," he gave the kid a small grin as he took the cookie from his hand. "Did you happen to get these from Professor Hadley?" He glanced at it. Didn't look like one that she had made before but maybe she had tried a new recipe. He took a bite.

Had the man not noticed all the students aging and the weird going on with them? "Oh thanks I guess. I thought it was cool at first, but the balding and the wrinkles and now it seems everyone is going through this." He stopped, because what adult would believe him anyway if he said something was seriously wrong. He didn't even bother going home for Christmas figuring his mum would say he was pulling a prank, but whatever this wasn't about the beard or the ugly no hair, this was about the man eating the cookie.

He was searching for a snack this was Bart's lucky day! [b] "Well then you will enjoy these great cookies."[/b Yep after he had the daydream one he would so be welcome to more. Shaking his head he wouldn't go to queen crazy's office with her weird muggle magic bus. "No my mum made these and she is the best baker around. Her secret is extra chocolate chips, but don't tell her I told you." He always liked the extra chocolate chip.

Seeing the man bite into the cookie Bart grinned, if it worked he should be seeing the daydream right away. So would he go into a blank stare? Start talking to the people in the daydream? Freak out about not being in the corridor anymore? He couldn't wait to see what would happen.

She was also attempting to remind herself of all the injuries she'd already had, coincidentally one of those included breaking her ribs after being hit hard in the chest.

"I should be," Ana replied, trying not to think too much about it. If it turned out she couldn't then she could always just tell Hadley when she discovered it. As she continued walking, attempting to keep up with the other woman she wrapped her arm around herself, face pinching slightly in pain.

Well at least the girl was able to walk. That definitely made her feel better about the girl's injuries. Either that or she just had too much Slytherin pride and stubbornness to admit that she couldn't.

Nodding politely at the fifth year she walked alongside her, ready to catch her if need be. "Take your time. No rush." She didn't have anyplace to be and Ana would be excused from her next lesson given her physical well-being.
"Hold onto the side-rail." She said, as they reached the first moving stairwell.

She may not need to rush but she was of the opinion that if she didn't move fast enough she'd end up crying in public. Something that would be extremely embarrassing, and that she wanted to avoid at all costs. "Okay," Ana replied but she still walked as fast as her body would allow, which was admittedly slower than normal. While she didn't want to end up crying in public Ana also didn't want to end up hurting herself worse.

When they reached the stairs Ana hesitated slightly, staring at them slightly dubiously. Could she really climb these, and would they stay in one place long enough for them to get where they needed to go? Slytherin pride demanded that Ana at least attempt to walk up the stairs without being helped and so she'd try. Taking a deep breath Ana tried convincing herself that the stairs were not her enemy. It didn't work. The only thing that happened was that her chest hurt even worse and her face contorted with pain for a few seconds before she masked it.

Note to self, remember not to take too deep a breath.

Placing her hand on the bannister like Hadley suggested Ana began her slow ascent up the stairs.

Braith squinted at the young Gryffindor as he eyed him curiously. Not a purposeful disguise or prank then? Almost sounded like an aging potion, a rapid one at that, but maybe one that Bart was made unaware fro the sound of it. "Uh huh," McCormack murmured as he assessed the boys appearance. "Everyone's appearance is aging like that?" he asked as he thought a moment. He hadn't really noticed any physical signs like that, though he had been awfully busy lately and hadn't interacted with any students for the most part other than in class. Maybe the kid was putting him on. That would be a prank indeed. "Didya try going to the Healer? Just in case you were slipped an aging potion," he chuckled. Who knew what kids got up to these days.

Not from Josephina, but homemade from the kid's mother, certain to be just as good. "Well, tell your mum I said thanks. I'm sure they're delicious," he smiled at the boy as he chewed up a bite of the cookie. Yes, Bart's mother certainly seemed to be a good baker but what on Earth was going on?

Braith squinted a bit as the corridor slowly changed from mortar and stone to grass, trees, and sky. He stood there stunned for a moment, trying to process things, and then took a few steps as he looked around. Was that a creek up ahead? The History professor took a glance down at the cookie in his hand and took another bite, quickly figuring out what was going on. "Infused my cookie with a Daydream Charm, did you?" he chuckled aloud, though Bart was nowhere in sight. Sure, prank the new guy, but he had to admit it was a rather clever trick. He'd see how this daydream would play out.

The scene rather reminded him of a camp he would visit during summers when he was a kid. Growing up in the city of Brooklyn, Braith didn't get a whole lot of opportunity for creeks and he didn't see much green grass outside Central Park. He really enjoyed those summer camps as a boy. He headed straight for the creek when he heard the sound of a dog barking and he turned his head just in time to see a dog bounding towards him. "Hey there, pup," he said, grinning as he reached out a hand to pat the daydream-dog's head.

"The Healer? Honestly man do you believe me? Like adults believe what comes out of my mouth, but look around the evidence is clear." Had he been living under a rock? No matter, Bart shuffled his slippered feet a bit wanting to move along and watched anxiously as the man chewed the cookie. The longer he chewed the more disappointed he was getting that it didn't work.

He shuffled more uncomfortably hearing the man's words. Of course he would know right away it was charmed. Now he was sure to get detention or something. "WE HAD TO, I MEAN FOR CHARMS HOMEWORK." Not sure if you could hear in the daydream charm or not, Bart yelled about the professor telling them they couldn't tell someone what was going on. He knew he was going to get into trouble for giving the cookie to a professor unknowingly. This would never go well for him.

A smile crossed his face as he saw Professor History Man take a few steps and a smile cross his face. It worked. Pulling out his parchment he started to write a few things down he saw. Then he spoke, "Pup.. That's Shadow my dog." He was at the creek, he had to be at the creek. ""At least it's no captain snogging this time." He mumbled more to himself than to the professor, that would have been way to embarrassing if it was Alice snogging him again.

Braith patted the daydream-dog a little more, chuckling as the rambunctious dog jumped at him a bit. He continued down towards the creek, hearing what was like the echo of a voice off in the distance. Charms homework..? Braith wasn't really paying attention anymore. Nope, he had more pressing, well leisurely, things to do, and he continued walking down the corridor to the creek with the dog bounding along after him.

Once he reached the edge of the creek, Braith stopped for a moment to look out at the scene, a faint. reminiscent smile on his face. This really brought back a lot of good memories. He bent down and picked up a small, flat rock, chucking it down and across the water. Watching as it skipped a few times in the creek, he couldn't help but to laugh as the dog went in after it. "Go get it Shadow." That's what his name was, yeah? He thought he might have heard that.

Now.. were there salamanders in this creek too? Searching for the amphibians had been a favorite pastime of him and his camp friends when he was a kid. Braith crouched down near the edge and picked up on of the larger rocks, peering at what was under it.

If Bart wasn't rolling on the floor yet he was now. The man was still walking down the corridor and it was funny watching him pet the wall like it was Shadow. What was he looking at? The second year squinted down the corridor, but saw nothing. Seeing him bend down Bart shuffled his slippered feet over to the professor to see what he was doing, but the man threw something.

Bart laughed again seeing a quill go down the corridor. Did the professor know he was throwing some random quill? Watching some more he chuckled as his own bag was now being picked up and underneath was being inspected. He hurried and wrote some more notes, but felt he had enough fun on the professors expense and pulled out his wand.

"Looks like you are having a great time, but Finite." He watched to make sure the professor came back to the corridor. "Where were you? You saw my dog?" He was grinning and still laughing about all the things he saw the professor doing. "Sorry again I used you for my homework." Now it was time to face the music and get in trouble for tricking a professor.

Anna Banana 03-09-2014 09:23 PM

Getting closer and closer to the professor's office, Sophie stopped again and decided to complete the next step of her amulet. She really should start getting her homework done further in advance. With this aging disease she had, she just didn't have it in her anymore to rush around the castle like this.

Okay, so...what was the spell again? Merlin, her memory! :whaa:

Oh, right--Duro. Sophie gently placed the square amulet in front of her then flicked out her wand. "Duro!" she said, moving her wand upward and then into a semi-loop to the right. She was good at this spell. The square hardened, leaving her with only one step remaining.

potions extra stuff post #1

So the first years got to do some extra stuff. That was fun. She liked doing stuff. She liked this too. Going to find potions ingredients. It would be good because she could learn more about potions and ingredients and where to find them. She'd spent some time in the common room, figuring out which potion she was going to do. She was trying to find one that she could easily find the ingredients off. She was being clever, because she didn't want to work too hard. Her bones were aching and it wasn't too much fun. So she decided to find ingredients for the basic sleeping draught. She liked sleep too. So that made sense to her.

The first ingredient was water. Well that was easy. Because she had learnt the spell how to do that. She hummed as she sat in the first floor corridor. She had her little pot that she was going to put her water in. Smiling, she pulled her wand out and pointed it at the pot. "Aguamenti" She murmured and watched the water go into her pot. "Perfect." One ingredient down

Astronomy Homework #3 - Post 2

Skipping along, Lux made her way up to the first floor corridor and decided that she would stick her other poster somewhere on the walls. Hopefully she would not get into trouble for it, but she wanted to have it somewhere that people would see and she was too lazy to wander along to other places. Oops.

Unfolding her poster, she held it up to the wall and used the permanent sticking charm to get it stuck in place.

Tada, she was done.

Astronomy Homework #2

Who. Cared. About. Pluto.

Honestly. Sophie couldn't see why they were making such a big fuss about a planet they'd never visit or live on. That was the stance she had taken on the matter, and now as part of her Astronomy homework, she was roaming the school hanging up posters saying just that.

With two rolled up pieces of parchment, both posters, in her hand, Sophie made her way down the first floor corridor. She passed some Hufflepuff girl's poster, but she ignored it. Not because she didn't care, but because she was busy.

She paused next to a random part of the wall and placed a poster there. Raising her wand toward the poster, she said, "Prehenso!" She backed away and tested the charm to see if it worked. Cool, it did. She turned on her heels and walked away with the last remaining poster in her hand.

... Look to the left...

... look to the right...

... No one? Awesome.

Alec headed off down the first floor corridor, a single piece of parchment clutched in his hand. He really didn't want to travel far to do this so... he was here instead. And everyone would pass here eventually, yeah? There were three subject classrooms along this corridor. Three! It was bound to happen so the spreading word part of the homework was down.

There... were posters here too. One about supporting Pluto and another... not so much. BLINK.

... No. He was on a mission. Shaking his head, the seventh year continued walking along the corridor until he reached a fairly empty spot. He held up the piece of parchment and lined it up at a decent height. Taking out his wand, he cast the sticking charm on it before letting go. Would it stay? Would somebody come along and tear it down?

... Shrug.
