Greenhouses Payment Center Before you can open the door to the greenhouses, a big line of multicolored turnstiles magically materializes out of thin air to effectively block your path. You cannot go around the turnstiles and using magic on them will not have the slightest effect. If you want to enter any of the greenhouses, you need to pay a flat fee of 6 sickles to get in every time you wish to come in. You insert the money in the little hole on top off one of the turnstiles. The turnstile will then unlock and will allow you to pass through and get into the greenhouses. |
Ugh. More turnstiles. But Tora really wanted to get into the Greenhouses, which was weird since she was awful at Herbology.... Still, this was a special case as it was for Astronomy homework. She coughed up the coins and stomped grumpily into the Greenhouse. |
Adrienne wrinkled her nose. More turnstiles? She'd thought they were done with those after last year.... ugh. And these were more expensive, no? She had to put in sickles instead of just knuts? It was a good thing she had money in her pocket, because there was no way she was going to walk back up to the castle and up seven flights of stairs to the common just for some money. In that case, she would rather have dealt with the chewing-out she'd have gotten from Tora for not joining her as promised. Adrienne dug a hand into her pocket and pulled out a galleon. She shrugged and dropped it into the slot- either it would give her access for the next couple of visits, or she'd lose eleven sickles, not a big deal either way. |
Turnstiles...seriously?? Not again. Asher fished around in his pockets, then the bottom of his bag, desperately looking for some coins. Finally landing upon the sixth and final coin, he placed them in the slot, took a deep breath to calm his nerves, and entered the greenhouse. |
Pff, WHY did she needed to pay again? that was stupid! Really stupid! She would tell it her mom! The school had no financial problems now, right? But because she needed to enter the lesson she grabbed some money and payed, with a VERY irritated look in her eyes! |
Annbeth was arriving the greenshouses smiling when, suddenly, line of multicolored turnstiles magically materialized in front of her. She rushed her hands into her pockets. She knew she had some money there. After taking out from her pockets a piece of string, four chewing gums, four galleons, three keys, forty five knuts she found six sickes. She stuffed her pockets with her things and payed the turnstile. |
Sarah needed to get to the lesson, and she was running late already. Oh merlin.. the tolls again. Sarah still had her complaints, yet now was not the time so she put the required sickles in. The turnstile opened to let her through. Goodness.. she had to run. She sprinted forward towards the greenhouses. |
Totally forgot to post here before >_< Turnstiles. Adi had heard about these earlier on but there seemed to be less around now. From what he had heard they had been practically everywhere last year. But here was one now and he had to pay the price of six sickles to pass. Not a problem. He placed the money into the slot and happily skipped off to class. |
You had to be BLOODY joking. Turnstiles at the library, she didn't really care about because she didn't go there, she didn't even read but they were blocking her from getting to class??? Since when did she have to pay to LEARN?? Wasn't that covered in the tuition or something??? Consider her severely unamused right now. With a heavy sigh Alexa, fished into her pocket, took out 6 sickles of her candy money and fed it to the annoying bugger of a money hungry turnstile. Lex would need to have a word with the Headmistress about this. When she gave her a standing ovation for her speech at the start of term for suggestion a new approach to education and all that, she didn't think THIS was what she'd meant. |
Merlin's beard. A turnstile in the Greenhouses and not just in the library? This was unacceptable. And to think it was in front of the greenhouse where they usually had their Herbology lessons made everything ten times, or even more, worse. Kat grumbled under her breath and eyed the turnstiles. Now she'd have to pay 6 sickles every Herbology class. Kat searched her pocket for change (Hogsmeade Weekend, HURRY UP PLEASE?) and found a galleon. Well, at least she'd be able to enter the greenhouses twice with this. Slipping the gold coin in, Kat then entered the greenhouse. Finally. She was sooooo done with Hogwarts. |
Tobias was kind of used to the turnstiles now. They'd been here since he'd started at the school. It was a pain though. The Hufflepuff pulled a handful of sickles out of his pocket and just shoved a whole bunch in the coin slot, not really counting how many. As soon as he ran out of greenhouse credit the turnstiles would tell him. After he had fed in the coins, Tobias pushed through the turnstiles and into the greenhouse. |
What? They had to PAY to go to a CLASS? As she approached it, Sophie gave the turnstile a skeptical look as another student passed through. Huh. How much was it, though? Six sickles, it said? That was nothing, the Ravenclaw thought, but... kind of silly to make students pay for something like that, yeah? Why couldn't the school charge their parents an additional fee to cover things like this? Whatever. Sophie fished deep into her robe pockets, pulling out a light pouch of change, dug out six silver coins, then dropped them into the appropriate slot and passed into the greenhouses. |
Turnstiles. Frown. Although the blonde was pleased that some areas of the castles were turnstile free, it still sort of stunk that they didn't have access to somewhere like the greenhouses without paying. Especially considering they had classes and assignments they'd need to do there. It was just sort of frustrating. She got why, though. She really did. Depositing her money, the seventeen year old adjusted her bag on her shoulder and headed into the greenhouse. |
What? Paying to get into the greenhouses. HAHAHAHAHA. She wouldn't get in if she got paid. Deadly stuff in there that gulped people and chopped off their heads. Not to mention poisoning and the other of horrid stuff. Except that there was a lesson and she had to pay. SIGH! Maybe she'd fail Herbology and won't have to deal of the constant danger. She eyed the turnstiles then inserted the fee. Wasting money left and right in this school. |
... Turnstiles. Was this a joke? He thought that the school had rectified this problem at the end of last term, but it seemed that they were still being cheap about certain things. Honestly, how long had this school been open, how many alumni had passed through the doors? And not ONE of them could help good ol' Hogwarts out? Ridiculous. He had things he wanted to accomplish, which did not consist of forking up his hard earned money from this summer to some stupid machine. For a moment he contemplated jumping it...but a Professor was nearby. He could sense it. His equally annoyed and attractive face gave up six sickles and pushed through the turnstile to enter. |
Wait...... Greenhouse Turnstiles. Nigel had to pay to take a class he did not even really enjoy. Was the school serious. Nigel had heard that they were turnstiles at the library. But that kind of made sense. But this. Nigel was not that interested in plants to pay to see them. And since he was already here ready to go to class Nigel payed the toll and walked on through. This class better be worth it. Since he was paying for it and everything. |
Adelaide headed towards the greenhouse. This was definitely going to be a different experience than stuff she'd done before. She had no idea if she'd even like the subject or be able to do the OWL for it, but she had her 'it didn't hurt to try' mentality going for her. ...wait. What was that? She got closer to the turnstiles. So they had to pay to attend Herbology? That didn't seem right. Addi fumbled around in her bag for six sickles. There was no way she was going to be missing a lesson because she had to pay. Thankfully she found some, paid the fee, and passed the turnstiles. |
Anya headed toward the greenhouses. ... only to be stopped. Stupid turnstiles. She thought they were gone. Apparently not. It was a good thing that she hadn't broken the habit of carrying some coins on her. She dug into her bag and dropped the required sickles into the small hole. Could she go to class now? Thank you. |
...REALLY?! Sophie stared at the turnstiles in disbelief. Was the school really so poor last term that the students had to resort to paying to get into lessons? Sophie thought that free access to lessons should just come with the territory, but...she guessed not. Whatever. She stood in the back of the line and waited impatiently for her turn. When she finally arrived to the front of the line, she recounted her money, just to make sure it was all there. Six sickles. She had it. She inserted the money into the turnstile then went through. They didn't have to pay to get out, did they?! If so, she was stuck here for a while. |
SRSLY. Forrest was here to LEARN, yet he was obstructed by turnstiles. He considered going back to his common room but really, that would teach him nothing. He had to learn this class. Headmistress Putting in the 6 sickles required, he passed through and walked to his class. |
As Minerva walked down to the Greenhouse she stopped. Are you flipping kidding me? She couldn't believe it. They had to pay to go to class. It wasn't bad enough they had to pay to go to the library, but now class and a class she had never been that happy about. Sigh.. BIG SIGH.. If it wasn't for healing and needing this for her NEWTs and that little voice in her head saying she needed to know as much as she could for a certain plant obsessed herbologist that she loved so much she would just walk back to the castle. No.. no she had to go to class. So Min quickly paid the stupid payment and went into the greenhouse.. She loved Bentley but this was not helping her day in this class. |
Now how did Wade miss this.. It was stuff like this that a little memo would've helped the Head Boy out. There was no other way around this though, since he had to pay up to continue his learning for the NEWTs and everything. So with that, Wade checked his pockets before adding his payment in and pushing through the turnstiles. Time for class.. |
The greenhouses! This was going to be cool! Full of plants and flowers and the EXACT place Abbi expected fairies to want to live in, especially the little ones. Maybe if she were lucky she would get to see, but if not NO worries. Nope, nope. She would bring the fairies TO the greenhouses and she'd do exactly that by wearing a pair of wings of her own. So there the little firstie went, along with her wings, and made her way towards her first Herbology lesson. She was rather happy and wore a huge beam on her face. Her beam was stopped though and a confused look replaced it when she was met with a barrier. The turnstiles. She knew what they were from home, she'd seen and used them ALL the time with mommy. Problem was, did she have enough of those coin thingies? With her small fingers, Abbi reached inside her pocket and felt for any coins. There were a few and she placed them in her handies. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. OHH! She had enough. She took six out of the seven, placed them at the top of the turnstile and entered the greenhouses. She was surprised they weren't actually green from the outside, you know? |
Wait a minute....students needed to go through more turnstiles? Ughh...well if everyone else was doing, Kace better have to as well. Kace fished in his pockets for 6 sickles to pay the turnstile. He thought this was really unfair but if this was the only way to get into the lesson, he might as well. He paid the fee and then went through and continued to go to the lesson. |
Hang on...what? Benjy stared. And STARED. And then checked his watch. He had CLASS, and there were turnstiles blocking his way. Since when did they have to pay for lessons? The library was bad enough, but at least he had his own most for most things. But the GREENHOUSES, for LESSONS? Sigh. With a grumble, Benjamin rummaged in his pockets and pulled out a handful of sickles (amongst other things). He slotted them into the turnstile, and pushed his way through. Somehow, he figured doing Herbology for his OWLs was going to prove costly... |
