The Seating Area Outside Professor Flamsteed's Office
|
we wanna say hi^^ Breathing heavily, Daichi finally arrived at the top of the stairs. His face was glistening with sweat and he used his sleeve to wipe it off his forehead. Each year he had difficulty walking the stairs for the first time but he knew that would be over in a few days. But..seriously..couldn't they make an elevator in the school or something? Probably not. The Slytherin walked up to the door of the office and knocked on it rapidly before he turned around and sat down on one of the comfortable chairs. Grabbing a magazine he lazily flipped the pages as he looked at the pictures with his legs crossed. |
Raven noticed that the first announcement on the board in the common room was that the Astronomy class would be happening very soon. It would probably be the first one, and that why Raven decided to pay a visit to the professor who taught this subject. She wanted to say hi and to get to see how he was like. Already another boy was waiting reading a magazine, he probably had the same idea. She walked up to the door and tapped on it. Then she picked up a magazine and pretended to read it. |
*squeeeeeee* first visitors ^^ Mourning the loss of some of his precious powdered elements, Airey had felt like just locking up his office so he could make some tea and curl up on his sofa and watch some science fiction movies to make himself feel better. He even had his Yoda slippers on and everything. That is until he heard a knock at the door. SWEET SOLSTICE what were they coming to take now? Quote:

Hopefully Mr. Katharos wouldn't mind. OOC: you both can post in the office now ^_^ |
Dylan veeeeeeeervy slowly made his way up to Professor Flamsteed's office. He'd contacted the the man about ways to deal in set-in odors, since he seemed like the most cleanly person in the school...and in all honesty, the beds up in the Slytherin dorms were AWFUL. Everyone had taken to a mass Common Room sleep-in. There was so much to clean...and it had been so late...Not all of it could be done in one sitting...at nearly midnight. Needless to say, the Slytherin Captain hadn't slept. Not that he'd EVER admit to it if asked...but he was scared things were lurking in the Common Room. He REFUSED to be surprise!attacked. .....OR maybe that was just the exhaustion and paranoia talking. When Dylan FINALLY arrived, he politely knocked on the office door and took a seat, leaning forward on his elbows to cup his face. NOW...he waited. |

Or was the smell in the Slytherin common room THAT bad? "Mr. Montmorency," he greeted with a small smile!smirk. "Just here for the tonic or do you have other business as well?" |
A snowy white owl rounded the corner and approached the door to Professor Flamsteed's office. It then stopped, scratched upon the door several times, and then waited. In its talon was a piece of parchment. When unfolded, it reads: Text Cut: Parchment |

One minute he was sitting there, face in his palms...Next thing he knew, he was almost slumping over. Blink...and there was Professor Flamsteed... Ha. Hello embarrassment. Feeling his cheeks tinge with warmth, the Slytherin stood rather abruptly, wobbling. "Sir..." There was some awkward throat clearing-thing...."...Yea...Just the tonic, thank you." SLEEPY!stare! |

Airey didn't have the heart to correct the boy on the sir this time around and instead just nodded to the captain. "I'll get that for you right away," he said before disappearing back into his office. Quote:
"GAH!" Oh, there was a note...from the new Care of Magical Creatures professor. Oh! He was asked personally to give a lint roller orientation? He would certainls oblige to that later. Pocketing the note and sending the owl on his way - sorry bird, this man carried no treats - he walked back over to the exhausted looking snake and handed it to him. "Pour some of thing on a handkerchief and wipe it all over the smelly area to dry. Smell should go away within a few minutes if not instantly." He paused to look at the boy. Was he going to make it back to the common room alright? |
Sonea stood before the door from the professor and knocked softly. She was here to ask the professor a few questions because she wanted to learn more about astrology. She had never had thought before that she would like this lessons because of her parents and especially her mother always told her that she needed to focus on other thinks like working at the ministry, work she could do behind a desk. But Sonea had decided now that she would do what SHE wanted to do and that it was her future and the time she was at Hogwarts was her time and she could spend her time as she wished! After Sonea had knocked on the door she saw a few seats and decided to sit down while she would be invited inside the office. She saw also a few magazines and curious where they were about she took one and saw that they were all about astronomy, (what a surprise!) |
Minerva made her way sloooowlllly to the professor's office. She had been asked the evening before to come to his office. She hadn't been to an astronomy professors office since second term and that was just her stopping there, not because she was asked. As she finally made it to the door, Minerva still tried to figure out why she had gotten in trouble. Taking a deep breath she knocked, slightly hoping he might not be there. Maybe she would wait only a few seconds and rush out before he even opened the door. As the thoughts rushed through her head, another sickening one hit her. Maybe he was asking her to the office, because he felt she was to dumb to continue in class. *major frown* She wasn't dumb though, she usually was a top student, just.. not on her exams, and not in this class. |

Instead he had taken up rereading some of his favorite science fiction novels, sometimes out loud to Pebbles. In fact, he was doing just this when he heard a knock at the door. Setting his copy of Ender's Game and went to the door. "Miss Duvessa, hello. What can I do for you?" Quote:
He could tell that Miss Wheatborn's confidence had been shattered somehow and Merlin help him if he was the cause of that. His shoulder's instantly tensed up when he heard a knock at the door as he knew full well who was on the other side. "Come in," he called from inside as he made his way towards his desk and pulled out some of his class notes to browse through. OOC: you can post in the office now ^_^ |
Knock, knock. We have EXTREMELY important business to discuss with you, Professor Flamsteed. EXTREMELY important, and with a matter of urgency. At least the question that would serve Lex. There was no urgency in the one she had. But still. After knocking on the door, she took a seat. No time for reading, she might get sidetracked if she does. |
Astro HW; Post 4 Nigel was going to ask Flamsteed where the best places to vacuum are. But he got sidetracked a little by seeing some dust outside his office. And there was enough to constitute a vacuuming. Plus he could see a lot more lint than dust. Nigel would not want Flamsteed to sit down and be covered in lint. That would probably cause him to have to have a mental breakdown. Now back to vacuuming. Nigel looked at the chairs, pointed his wand at his hoover, and cast "Vacavus" Nigel was going to a clean freak for this one vacuuming. He moved underneath the chairs picking up all the lint he could. It was getting pretty loud. But this was Nigel's homework after all. Once He got through with the chairs. Next up was the coffee table. He placed the magazines alphabetically in the corner of the table and cleaned the table completely. Nigel made sure that the carpet was vacuumed and made sure again. Once the hoover died. He knew he was done. Once he was satisfied. He gave himself a pat on the back for a job well done. |
and we see you Nigel! Quote:
Oh, there was a Ravenclaw cleaning up around his seating area. Lovely! Although he was under the impression that the boy did not really like him much and yet here he was protecting him from some of the horrors of the world. Much appreciated young man. VERY much appreciated. "Miss Wisteria, how can I help you?" And he just may be wearing his Yoda slippers. |
I didn't know you had posted. >_< *pokes SS* Text Cut: Hey there, Yoda!" A small smile. Not a beaming one. That was all he got at the moment. And the smile was just because of the tea he was holding. She could use some tea, you know? What on earth were those? Her eyes went to the slippers...and her smile grew a bit bigger. Also, what's the deal with the kid cleaning up stuff? He could be far more useful somewhere else. "Good day, Professor Flamsteed, I have a couple things to discuss with you if you have the time." Okay, now she was giving him a sweet smile. He did seem to be far too busy enjoying tea time or whatever, but he'd have time for her, surely. |
SS is a poopy head sometimes >_< Quote:
And he even summoned a cup from the cabinet and levitated it to the desk as well. OOC: welcome welcome! ^_^ |
After leaving the Tower Patch she decided to head straight to Professor Airey's office before heading down to the kitchen. It only made sense to. The kitchens were below the castle. At the moment, she was at a tower. There was NO WAY she'd walk down to get ice-cream knowing she'd have to walk back up. Hopefully he wouldn't mind that she had Felix with her but she'd taken him with her to get some of the Tower Patch cleaned up and she didn't think she wanted to go drop him off in her Common Room first because then she'd have to go get him again. He was having ice-cream too, whether he wanted to or not. They had already agreed to this, despite the fact that she didn't speak kneazle and couldn't have made said agreement. Details, details. She knocked at the door then took a seat, Felix in her lap, to wait on the Professor. That is...if he was even inside. |

Oh! Like knocks at the door! Those were nice. Meant people were coming to visit and having visitors was a lovely thing. Hopping up from his desk, Airey walked over to the door and opened it. "HELLo...Miss Cambridge," he said while taking a significant step back when he saw the monster she had brought with her. Was it attached to her or something? Inwardly cringing, he looked away from the beast and back to the Gryffindor. "What can I do for you?" |
Quote:
"HAI Professor!!!!" BEAM. He'd started out kinda shouting so she figured that was how she was meant to proceed. It didn't last though because he'd gone down in volume and she could do that too! Mhm! She noticed the step that he took backwards but there was no time to really say much about it because there was URGENT stuff that she needed to ask him about. Stuff that would make a real difference with the Tower Patch and in general was annoying her at the moment. She didn't like to think that there was something she couldn't do but at the moment that seemed to be the case. Not for long. "I came to have a quick word with you about the Tower Patch, if that's okay and you're not too busy." But he wasn't busy, right???? RIIIIGHT??? "I mean, if you are me and Felix could go on sitting here but then we'd probably just go get some ice-cream and check back later...that's more effort though. So you're not busy, hmm?" Cue a really wiiiiide smile after that. |
SS won't let me quote yoooooooooooou Woah there. Someone was energetic today. Not that Miss Cambridge was ever not energetic really - save for when she had killed her star, but that was a rare occurrence he was sure. "Oh, yes, of course you may." Did she notice that he said you and not you and your furry companion? He probably should specify that. No fur in the office considering he had just lint rolled the floor. "I actually have ice cream inside...but if you would be so kind as to leave you..." PAUSE. ".....feline out here, please." OOC: Alexa is welcome in the office now :3 |
Continuing from seventh floor--bronze knocker! Good thing Professor Airey's office was close, or else, one of his vacuum cleaners would have been broken. Naturally, Forrest had run all corridor to reach his door, with the vacuum cleaner flying after him. He'd held onto it strongly, of course, but one might never know. He almost barged into the room--remembering to knock on the door in the last minute. Knocking quickly, he tried to catch his breath as he placed the vacuum cleaner neatly--now that he was in front of his door, it wouldn't be nice to throw it on the floor. |
Astro Homework 4 Seriously, West was getting pretty good at charms lately, he felt. Like certain things were just falling into place and all that. All that practice with Dylan and Sierra and other older students the past few years was starting to really help him out. Not that this spell was a hard one. THAT wasn't actually the hard part at ALL. The hard part was lugging the thing around and not tripping over and DYING or something. He headed to the waiting room in the Hospital wing next for two reasons: 1, he knew it wasn't going to be TOO dirty given him and Dylan had spent a whole while scrubbing it at the end of term, and 2, because he knew that Tillstorm was only working part time and probably needed that extra help. He figured he'd do it and not tell her. She could just show up to a clean and dust free waiting room , and probably assume it was a house elf. He appeared with the power cable wrapped around one leg and thrown over his shoulder, which was necessary to keep it out of the way. West started by the door, where people tracked in dust and stuff right? He tapped his vac tube. "Vacavus!" The old shoddy hoover wheezed alive again, lurching comically as West started moving it around, focusing on corners and trouble spots and letting his mind mentally picture an actual black hole sucking up stars (dust) and other space junk (more dust) if they got too it. "Vacavus!" Seriously. Again. Having to keep doing it was annoying. If only it lasted as long as a black hole did.... or not really, but relative and stuff. He tapped the tube and busied himself, working methodically around the waiting room, under the seating, in the corners, near the doors... essentially everywhere the vacuum nozzle could reach. He didn't stop until it was empty space. No more dust stars in here. Resorting to dragging the vacuum again, and thankful it was on wheels, West lugged it out of the waiting room. The REAL question was, WHY had he lugged the vacuum all the way to the towers? Well, lugged maybe wasn't the right word, since halfway there he'd gotten annoyed and levitated it instead, but still! All the way from the dungeons to the towers! For science! West chose to vacuum outside Professor Flammy's office for a reason: that reason being he figured people would overlook it and even if the Professor kept the area clean, chances were he'd been too distracted to do it too recently anyways, and Flammy needed dust-free love too. Carefully, he lowered the vacuum to the ground, and held the nozzle at the ready. West tapped it feeling like a pro. "Vacavus!" The tube vibrated a bit like it was tired, and West felt a weird sympathy for it. It was like a metaphor for his LIFE. *dramatic* Still he went hard along all the ridges and edges where dust and dirt tended to appear, mentally repeating over and over in his head EVENTHORIZONEVENTHORIZONEEVENTHORIZON. It sort of made it go faster, he thought. Like thinking about the actual VACUUM part, and relating it to the class material... well it made it less dull anyways. The suction stopped again and West sighed. He was about to cast again when he remembered something Flamsteed had said in class. After a moment pause to collect himself, West tapped the vacuum again and said firmly, "Vacavus Maxima!" This time when the suction began, was it West's imagination or did it seem.... stronger. THIS black hole meant business. Cackling to himself a bit, he continued sucking up the bits of dust and cobwebs here and there, even getting a stray scrap of parchment, a feather, and a droobles gum wrapper. Thinking about the class and stuff, West paused and looked around... ... and then dropped a jelly slug on the ground. He stood on the end of it, thinking of Mo's addition to his spaghettification comment, and started suctioning the end of it, seeing how much it would stretch. Well, the answer as it turned out was 'not much', but still. It was kind of good giving it a go. He moved his foot and sucked up the slug completely then as the Maxima vacuming spell eventuallyl stopped, he looked around to survey his handiwork. Alright, good enough and stuff. |
le pretending this is after West and his cleaning :3 Quote:
The house elf was literally a walking disaster on his own. "Good afternoon, Mr. Charlton," he greeted the boy. "What can I help you with?" He then gestured towards his open door to invite the boy inside. OOC: you can post in the office now^_^ |
Moving the Summer Detention RP along so it doesn't die out. Oakey sulked up to the Astronomy Tower feeling anything but good. His nose was runny, his eyes were baggy, and his face was pale . In his pocket was the work that Theo had re-done for him since the Feast months ago. It was to hard to track down the Slytherin 4th year, especially since they hated each other. Oakey gave the door a light and lazy knock before dropping down onto the benc, and wiping his nose on his robe's sleeve...Did he mention how much his stomach was bothering him too? Getting this Paper to Flamsteed took Priority over Tillstorm...Hell anything took Priority before seeing her. |
