Ice Cream Toppings Party

Hecate Lafay had brought her cauldron to the great hall. She charmed the door-frame so that every cauldron brought into the room by her students would be decorated in party colors and glitter. The ones containing Chocolate Base would have the words "Decadent Fudge" on them, the ones with Caramel, would have "Creamy Caramel" on them, the ones with a caramel base had "Smooth Butterscotch" on them, and the marshmallow bases, like her own, would sport the words "Gooey Marshmallow".

Not only was there syrup, but all sorts of toppings, fruit, and nuts, and sprinkles, and miniature candies, and cookies, and crumbled candybars and crumbed cake... even pickles! Anything your heart desired on an ice cream.

Hecate enhanced her voice so it was heard throughout the school by students and professors alike. "Enjoy a bowl of Hogwarts Ice Cream with our flavor enhancing syrups here in the great hall." She said and charmed the ladles to ladle out the syrups on their own.


ooc: Everyone eating the syrups: This is the antidote to the GleeIceCream. Even if you weren't under the effects of the ice cream, this syrup will not hurt you and is safe to eat. However it has a smaaaaall side effect... a feeling of loss and sadness, like something's missing from life now that you aren't elated all the time.

Okay, so the homework was to get other people to try her syrup, right..? Well.. did she have to try other peoples? Because Derry basically hated ice cream.

She carefully levitated her cauldron up to the great hall, pleasantly surprised when it started glittering. Ooooh. She loved glitter. Like her glittery pants, they were her favourite. Anyway, back to the matter at hand. She moved her cauldron of marshmallow syrup to a table and set it down.

Right. Now to get people to try it... hmmmm...

ICE-CREAM FEEEEAAAASSSSST!!!

All her earlier suspicions about the ice-cream were long forgotten when she walked into the Great Hall and saw ALL THE ICE-CREAM and ALL THE TOPPINGS!! This was gonna be the best ice-cream feast EVVVVVEEEEER.

She carried her cauldron along and plopped it on the closest table. It looked so neat with the new decorations on it. Chocolate, she LIKED chocolate on her ice-cream. First person she noticed was Derry, her mutant bug hunting buddy, close by! Lex hopped two steps over to her with her bowl of ice-cream ready.

"You have marshmallows?? Oh boy! Can I try yours????? You can try mine too because we're meant to be tasting each others!!" She may have been talking a bit too loud but there was just so much ice-cream and toppings and HAPPINESS!!

It was like she couldn't think of anything but the ice-cream she was meant to be eating. All the worry was gone and replaced with an eagerness to get this thing started. She wanted to try ALL the syrups!!

Derry was eyeing the syrups suspiciously. She did not need to feel all sad and stuff, and she had just read what glumbumble fluid did... She was already moody today for REASONS. Anyway... homework... ugh. Hm. She didn't know. She supposed she had to.....

"Huh..?" she looked up. "Oh, yeah sure." Derry was considerably quieter than Lex at this point, but part of her was still expecting the syrup to turn into something nasty and attack - like seriously, Hogwarts, what are you DOING? She looked at the other girls cauldron. "Oh um... I don't eat chocolate. I could have an allergic reaction..." Which was actually one hundred percent true. It wasn't just an excuse. Although part of her was saying it was... she'd ended up nearly dying countless times from hidden traces of nuts in things, and she wasn't really prepared to be in the vicinity of as many nuts as there were in the topping choices in here, but she was dealing with it.

"I'm sure it's nice though." she said with a little smile, resolving to try the next non-chocolate syrup she came across. Wait, what was even in butterscotch. WHAT COULD SHE EVEN EAT HERE? Pffffffft. She really really hated ice cream.

"I'm not eating this. You aren't, right? Do you know what these ingredients do?" Alice whispered to Cat, levitating her cauldron to the ice cream feast. Normally, she'd be extremely excited for something that involved eating ice cream- !!!!!!!!- but not today. She didn't know what it was, but there was something up with those ingredients. Lethe river water for forgetfulness? Glumbumble fluid for melancholy feelings?

She wished Mo was there, seeing as he already knew about those effects and could probably assist her in convincing Cat not to eat it. Too bad Alice had lost him once she left the classroom, but he'd find them there when he arrived with his own cauldron, probably. "So are you?"

It was basically as SOON as they made it in to the room with their cauldrons that Alice started talking her out of eating. They'd had to make this potion TWICE, so why not try it, right? Come on! Cat shrugged, "I know some, enough." She didn't know everything and certainly wasn't going to claim to, but there was a general consensus that this was not something they wanted to be eating.

She eyed up the ice cream and shrugged again, "I mean, it's not like Lafay is trying to hurt us, right?" This was most definitely whispered to Alice as Cat looked around for Lafay.

Asher bolted into the great hall. He didn't care what rumors were going around about the syrups they had made. They were getting ice cream. All they could eat with loads of wonderful toppings. TOPPINGS!!!! Asher loved marshmallows in any form. Marshmallows on top of ice cream? Even better.

Grabbing a bowl, he filled it half full of butterbeer ice cream and let the charmed ladles top it to the bowls rim with marshmallow syrup. After grabbing a spoon, he headed to a seat and began chowing down.

Levitating her cauldron- since when was it all colorful and glittery and labeled 'Smooth Butterscotch'? Weird- over to a table and setting it down, she gave Cat an incredulous look. "I dunno. But I don't want to start losing my memory, or turn super sad and depressed all of a sudden, do you?" These days, she felt elated all of the time, and it was super nice. Happy was nice. Ice cream was nice. Lafay's syrup? Didn't look so nice.

Bowl of ice cream ready, she was about to eat it plain before a charmed ladled spooned a truckload of syrup onto the dessert by itself.

.. well. She was still relucatant. Cat?

Annabeth arrived at the Great Hall. Suddenly her cauldron turned to a kind of festive cauldron, totally colourful. "What a nightmare!" It was not that she didn't like colours or feasts, she loved it, but hated ice cream. And it was supposed to her eat ice cream with syrup they had made. She left her cauldron on the table and searched into her bag the peppermint toad professor Hecate had given her and tucked it into a pocket, beside her wand. They might be useful.

The girl looked around. Was Alec there? Perhaps they could talk a little before she surrender herself to that disgusting ice cream feast. Then she approached the table where all sort of ice cream and all sorts of toppings, took a bowl and helped herself with chocolate ice cream and topped it with nuts, cookies and her own syrup. "I do hope this sacrifice will worth 20 points." She glared at the bowl, standing still for a minutes, thoughtful.

As he sat, eating spoon full after spoon full of ice cream, Asher started to feel sort of off. He wasn't sure why, but he felt a sort of sadness come over him. Figuring it was just the end of the school year blues, he continued to eat his marshmallow syrup topped ice cream.

Feeling rather lonely and sad, Asher turned towards the group of students at the ice cream and topping table "Would anyone like to sit with me and eat our homework?"He thought having company might make him feel a bit better. Heck, he thought he should be feeling great since they were getting points just for eating ice cream and trying out their syrup.

Annabeth loojed at the boy of her own house and year that was eating ice cream. Se seemed so sad! She approached him and asked:

"Has your ice cream a bad taste?" And she added: "I didn't eat my ice cream yet, I hate ice cream... But the syrup can be tasty... May I taste your syrup?" She smiled.

Asher noticed the Hufflepuff girl headed his way and gave her a faint smile. He didn't feel much like smiling. "The ice cream tastes fine and the syrup is marshmallow. You are more than welcome to have some. I appear to have a lot of it."

He fiddled with spoon, swirling it around in the bowl before looking at the girl again. "What flavor of syrup did you make?"

"Caramel. Mine is caramel." Annabeth pointed towards her cauldron. "We have lot of syrup, but the party is just beginning... I can bet at the end of it there will not any syrup here... People seems love this stuff." Then she approached his cauldron and let the ladle putting syrup on her ice cream. She took a spoonful of his syrup. It was tasty indeed. "Your syrup is so tasty." She smiled and ate more four spoonful of syrup, then she asked him: "May I sit here?" And before he could reply, she sat beside him, took the peppermint frog from her pocket and bit it and returned the rest of the toad into her pocket. "Ummmm.... refreshing...." She sighed.

"By the way, I'm Annabeth! It's not incredible that we didn't introduce ourselves? Both of us in the same house and same year!" She shook her head and grinned, staring at the door.

So, it was to the Great Hall now. Wade brought along his cauldron and was just stepping through about to set his- well, quite colourful cauldron down. He blinked a few times before looking around.. Gee.. So many pretty colours.. ooh and shiiiiiiny too. Wade then shook his head. It was like a candy shop in here now.

Oh lookie, PICKLES! THEY HAD PICKLES! Now those were the best to go with the ice cream! Just as instructed, Wade went to set his cauldron down. How about that. This would be the greatest time to sing the happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy song.

But he needed to eat some more first before he can invoke more joy. So, with that Wade began helping himself to a bowl of the ice cream, and pickle toppings to go with it. Now came for the fudge syrup as he poured a goooood amount onto it. THis looked soooooo good to him, that he waited for someone he knew to see this beautiful mix before helping himself to it.

YYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!! She could have some!!! Lex bounced as the girl said she was allowed to but in her eagerness she didn't wait for the syrup to be put on for her, nooooo, that might take too long!!!!

She reached for the ladel and put an unhealthy amount on her ice-cream, grinning as she did. Merlin this would probably be the best ice-cream ever. Next she reached over and put her own potion/syrup/same difference it's tasty. Her eyes widened and she felt like she might burst from all this extra happiness.

OH?

"You're allergic to chocolate? That's tragic! Look, more people, you should try some of theirs then. I'm sure it'll be just as good!!!"

Lex walked over to some more toppings and put just about everything -no fruits thanks- on it. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Then she went back to her cauldron next to Derry's with a wide grin on her face. Without waiting she dug in, scooping spoonful after spoonful into her mouth. THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!" Now she was REALLY sorry Derry couldn't have chocolate, but there were others.

"WADE!!! Waaaaade, come try my syruuuup!! I just had some and it's delicious!!!!" Lex said, grinning over at the boy when he entered.

"And I wanna try yours too! No one told me they tasted so good!!!!" She couldn't stop talking loudly or eating her ice-cream, SOOOOO GOOD!!! "Just come over here and I can get you some on your ice-cream--it's chocolate, you're not allergic right??????"

BOY SHE HOPED NOT!!

Asher watched as she tasted his syrup, glad that she liked it. "They do seem to love it" he agreed trying every so hard to muster up a smile. The once euphoric feeling he had was now gone. All he seemed to be feeling was sadness and he didn't like it.

Before he could answer, Annabeth sat down beside him. "It's nice to know your name, Annabeth. I'm Asher. I've seen you around the common room, but I don't believe we have every officially met."

Wondering if the caramel syrup was good, he asked "Is it okay if I have a bit of your caramel syrup?" He assumed caramel would go well with marshmallow and both went well with butterbeer ice cream. "It's neat that this is our homework assignment, isn't it?"

Just after he said that, he heard another student announce that there were pickles for a topping. Pickles?? His stomach turned a bit at the thought of eating pickles on ice cream...even worse if it were covered in syrup.

Ah, why not. It had been a while. He took a good scoop, it was mainly ice cream coated with the small pickle. He took a good bite. Mmmmm..

Oh, did someone just call him? Wade turned juuuust as he had a spoonful from impatient waiting with his delicious ice cream. Oooh, it was Lexy Pexy! "LEX!" What's this? Mooore toppings? "Ohhh yes, this is awesome! Go on and pour some right in!" He held his bowl out for her to pour. Shaking his head at her next question, making his hair ruffle around. Nope, no chocolate allergies for Happpy Wade. Hehe.

"Lend me your bowl and I'll give you some. Oh, and did you want some toppings? You should try pickles with the ice cream. Pickles are delicious and nutricious- the good tasting kind- and sooo goood." Was he talking too fast? Wade didn't know, he wasn't seeing how unusual and rapid the words were falling out of his mouth. "If not that's okay, they have soo maaaany others!" *Beam*

Lex was still shoveling more into her mouth than she could actually eat but her mouth and throat weren't complaining--her tongue wasn't either so she didn't caaaare. This was delicious.

Oh! Oh! Oh!!!!

He wanted some of her syrup!!! "OKAYYYY!!!!" She put down her own bowl (it won't be for long sweet goodness) then took his bowl and poured the syrup over everything, including the pickles--odd choice by the way!! "I hope you like it, like I said, I tried it and it tastes super good, I wanna eat more and more, good thing this is a feast you know, we can have all the ice-cream we want and it won't matter if we get sick because the ice-cream will be completely worth it, you know????"

Oooooooooo, and now she could try HIS now!!! "I don't think my ice-cream can hold any more pickles and 'sides, I don't put those on ice-cream but the syrup will be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!" BEAM.

Then she stuck her bowl out to him. LAY ON THE SYRUP!!

Sweet, sweet, chocolate. All over the ice cream and pickles. "Thanks!" Now, the usual Wade at this point would smirk at her excitedness. But today.. It was happy time! He was nodding his head in a bouncing rhythm at every word. "Oh, I'm sure I will. It already looks so delicious, and I don't mind that you hid the pickles, because that makes it more mysterious. You know, like those Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans! I love those too. You are right though, Ice cream is worth everything!" He beamed, once again.. and not even out of breath. He scooped in a nice helping into his mouth.. MMMMMM!! "You are right, this is delicious!"

Now taking her bowl, Wade poured some of the goood old syrup of his. Lex was so nice to decorate his bowl, that he wanted to do the same. So he tried pouring it in the fashion of a smiley face.

Yes! Now there's an idea. Wade would give others a happy shaped poured on syrup, that way they can be happy before and after tasting it! It sounded brilliant to Wade.

A sudden prescence nearby made Wade perk his brows. His hair ruffling senses were tingling..

Looking around wildly, his energy spiked as he looked towards the couple of people entering in. Hey, is that. "ALEC!" Wade waved his hands like a windmill towards him. "My Hair ruffling buddy, come over here! Let's taste each others syrup!"

Oooooooooooooo!!! She liked the sound of that! Adding mystery to ice-cream!! That was an epic idea! She wished she had thought about it--well she did but he had to point it out for her to realize how brilliant an idea it was. She BEAMed at him and waited eagerly to get her ice-cream back.

"A smiley face! Cooooooooool!!! Shame I'm gonna eat it but it'll understand because it's still ice-cream and that needs to be eaten, you know!!" GRIN GRIN GRIN.

"It was super nice of the Professor to give us this party too!! I really needed it after all the homework and classes I've been trying to catch up with!!" And you'd never have thought the Professor would do something like this. Earlier she was worried about this syrup but now it was the best thing she could have ever put on her ice-cream and it made it all so worth it. Gosh, imagine if she'd gone and messed up Aidan's! He'd never let her forget it, she'd probably have to give him hers or or or shaaaare.

Then she noticed who Wade was talking to and her grin seemed to spread even wider.

"HAIR BOY! YES!!! Come try out syrups!!!" She knew he would appreciate it looooads.

AND THERE WAS JAKE!!! HE NEEDED TO TRY SOME TOO!!

Lex started hopping and waving in his general direction to catch his attention. "JAKE!!! Jaaaake!! Syrup! Try mine!!! I can try yours too!!"

That was how it was meant to work and so far she was doing an excellent job of collecting syrup for her ice-cream. They were all so good, she wanted to keep eating them and she could!! This was a feast afterall!!

Asher noticed the Headmistress enter the Great Hall and wondered if she was going to join in on the party. "Hello ma'am!" Asher shouted over the noise in the room. "The marshmallow syrup is wonderful. Would you like for me to get you a bowl of ice cream with some of it on top?"

He really hoped she would hear him, but wasn't sure due to the noise level in the room.

He turned back to his bowl and continued chowing down. Although, he wasn't sure why he wanted to eat so much of it. Just seemed like the thing to do.

SKIPPING HERE WITH THE CAULDRON WAS FUN!

Cassia entered the great hall with a smiiiiiiile on her face. Because like they were in class and then Lafay says to go eat ice-cream. How cool was that! HUH? VERY COOL! Speaking of cool, let's have some ice-cream shall we! The snake sat her cauldron with the other ones making sure not to spill the syrup she brewed. Nope not a chance. You don't spill enhancing syrups. Cassia was pretty sure it was illegal somewhere in the world. She probably should move there, to that place which she had no idea about yet. There should be rules about ice-cream and usage also fines to those who waste it or insult. Mhhmm. Serious and delicate matter.

The blond stood and searched for people she knew. SO MANY! First, Lex! "Lex! C'mere!" She said RUNNING towards the lioness. Kinda stupid to tell someone to come then go yourself, right? She still did it there. Once she got to Lex she BEAMED. "Pretty cool that another assignment is just to eat ice-cream right?!" She squeeeealed. The excitement she felt.

ALSO ALSO! "Hi Derry and Alice..and Cat!" Cassia called and waved frantically at the girls.

Now she had to go and have ice-cream because she couldn't stay away from the table. She'll also get points! How cool was that! HUH!?

OH OH OH! Headmistress was here too. Was she here for the yummy syrups!
