Alyssa thought for a moment before raising her hand. "Professor this castle has many tunnels and hallways leading to other parts of the castle. Could this room be used as a shortcut to get to other parts of the castle without people having to go through the long way, via the front entrance and the staircases?"

"Like it could be a short cut to get to the staff room or even to the bathrooms." Alyssa suggested.

West stuck his hand up. "To hold classes so that BoG people don't know where we are and can't bother us?"

... wasn't that what they were doing?

What else the room could be used for? Well, everyone else had said what popped into Sky's brain first, so she had to get creative. "To hide things you don't want to be found? Like evidence?" Creative, right? Also, probably a bad idea.

Little did she know how ironic her answer was, though.

Jory raised his hand. "It can be used for practicing spells used in classes,'' he said. "Like in Transfiguration or Charms.''

Dustin looked around from the floor. Well, he certainly knew what this room WASN'T - a kitchen, since there was no food in sight. And the poor kid was hungry.

He raised his hand and waved it around just to make sure he was seen. All the other kids seemed to be standing, but he was much more comfortable on the ground. "Well this room for sure isn't a kitchen, but perhaps it could be used as overflow dining space."

HINT, PROFESSOR....Dustin hadn't come up with a nickname for him yet...SERVE THEM FOOD.

Now the snake really likes when she's extremely on point, that's why she straightened in her seat and tipped her chin up. Did anyone hear she was right. They better, because she rarely was appreciated. Anyway, she wasn't going to rub it and stuff. Not cool to do so.

Now back to the room, or the room's question because practically she hadn't left.

Before answering she listened to her friends' answers. West's answer earned a grin. Lex's answer made her swallow. Talk about cheerful thoughts! And she nodded at the others ones, creative classmates, no? "Probably it can be used for whatever the need calls." A general answer, "For example, holding a special meeting that wouldn't go in the staff room or any common room. Something like that, I suppose." Just an example.

This is NOT a classroom.

So, what would we call this room? Just an ordinary room that usually used for additional lessons such as some (un)useful seminars and apparation? Yeah, maybe..

And what do you think this classroom used for? Well, he had mentioned before right? Okay, beside by using for those seminars so this classroom is used for? To be honest, Gary didn't know about that. "I think we could use this room for a secret meeting." he guessed as he put his hands up.

Ah, so we are all a little bit right. A wild card room! She was a bit disappointed that the dueling club no longer took place as it did seem like a valuable thing for students to be able to practice without getting detention. Maybe she'd speak with Professor Romanos and see what she thought about re-instating it. The advanced charms club seemed to be touching on dueling a bit though, and she was involved with that, so maybe that was going to be the new avenue for spell casting... Anyway.

Another thing the room could be used for? Well... "Professor, could this room also be used for a hideaway for the staff? It's so close to where they sit in the Great Hall...maybe when they're annoyed or tired they could slip away through this door for some R&R?" She was pretty sure she'd get a little tired of sitting with tons and tons of kids every meal time if she was an adult. Especially if she was an adult with tons of papers to grade and lessons to plan and gosh, it just sounded exhausting.

What else could a room like this be used for?

Hmmmmm....there was many things Nessie could think of but none of them exactly seemed reasonable enough to say aloud. Or maybe one did. The red head raised her hand and waited politely for her turn. "Professor maybe it could be used as a place for the Headmistress to practice her speech before she addresses us?" Just an idea, because that was half likely.

Sarah looked around more.... and swiftly raised her hand... "recently the Board Of Governers have been sitting at the staff table at the feasts. Now there are elections and suppose they cannot decide who to add and there is an overflow in BoG the table can overflow into this room and maybe the cadidates that smell worse or look worse then the others can come sit in this room.

Belle looked around and decided what else this room could be used for. Belle had an idea just like the rest of her classmates. "Professor like the others have said, i could only think of a storage room just like for the trophies here." she said pointing to them. Or it could be used for secret meetings...but there is another room better than this one anyways.

Laura looked at the Professor and smiled. "Professor is it where the Professor come when they get fed up with each other, they can shout about people and just have fun."

What could the room be used for? Alice didn't have a decent idea, but her hand shot up anyway. "People could totally keep their pets here. Like, make it kind of like an owlery, except for all of the animals? Loads of people don't have space in their dorms, or their mates just get miffed at them because their pets make a mess." So they could just stick them in this room. Not that anyone would want to leave their pet, mind you, because she wouldn't ever leave Frank.

If she did, someone might eat him, obviously.

What else could this room be used for? Well, she figured a ton of things. They could use it as storage for Quidditch supplies. Or they could make it a twenty-four hours a day snack room, which she would adore. Or they could go the RAVENCLAW route and make it a study room, but that would be silly. Or, oh this was a good one, they could make this room into an athletic's room. They could have a wrestling mat and some punching bags and some ropes to climb. It would be an AWESOME way to relieve aggression at the end of a long day.

But she figured that her Professor would not be so keen on any of her ideas. So she just rose her hand and went with the simplest and most boring idea that she could think of, "WE COULD make this room hold a hidden swimming pool." That would be cool... unoriginal, but cool.

So.... it was just an extra room? what was that dumb question for then? Kaiden crossed his arms and just looked at the professor. This guy was kind of crazy wasn't he? And what could the room be used for? What was with all these stupid questions. Raising his hand, he gave a half hearted answer, "Well if its an empty room, I guess you could use it for anything then. Like, training, or maybe if we put pegs on the walls or ropes it could be used to climb around the room."

What could they use the room for? That was a very good question, and one that Mo was prepared to answer... he was always considering the best possible use of space for rooms in the castle. Mo raised his hand.

"Maybe like... an ice skating rink. Or the end of a giant slide coming from the trophy room, now that it's empty. Or I like Alice's idea of a place for our pets. Maybe a giant ice cream sundae bar."

The first thought that came to Hannah's mind was some place to hide. The little lion Alexa had beat her to it though. "I have to agree with Alexa on this one. It would be good for hiding!" That could always come in handy. You never knew when a hiding place could come in handy.

Of course she too believed that it could be used for all sorts of things like the others have said. Hmm... she wondered if they were going to find out some juicy gossip about what the room would be used for in the future. You never really did know with Hogwarts!

She was right?

Of course she was right. She grinned in the professor's general direction. He was still hot. Very hot. Too bad he was old. Oh, there was a question. Back to the question. Erm... "Is this a trick question?" she asked, raising her hand. "...because, that room could really be used for anything, so in a sense, everything is the answer."

As Sierra lowered her hand, she overheard West's answer and passed a smirk in his direction. Bwah haha. Fist bump to you, West Odessa. Well, imaginary fest bump, because...he was sitting across the room.

Minerva thought for a bit, everyone was already saying answers she could think of, but she put her hand up anyway. "Could the room be used for students to stay in. Like is only one common room would get shut out like last term, instead of using the entire great hall, maybe use that room instead." There were really endless possibilities that an empty room could be used for.

What kind of lessons was this? Trust History of Magic to make the lesson discuss rooms. Last Edita had checked, this class did not involve home decorating, but she was often wrong so this could very well be the case right now. Not that she'd admit it out loud. She huffed loudly as she adjusted her foot on the soft flesh of Ezra Carver's stomach, who was lounging on the floor after whining in a mumble about the lack of desks and chairs.

"This room could be used to turn it into a half bathroom," remarked Edita, squeezing November's shoulder and throwing her a side-long grin--wolfish in nature. "At least that's what Mum would say. She's in love with half bathrooms or something. She says it makes the house more valuable."

How that made sense, Edita wasn't sure. She had no the idea that value was directly attached to just how many rooms you could poop in.

There was a foot on his stomach, a foot that was evidently not his, even if it looked perfectly at home where it as. He stared at it, both mystified and disgruntled, and prodded it with the back of his freckled hand. Shoo.

You're fat, Ezra wanted to tell her. Or your foot is fat, or I'm not y'er bloody couch but settled with "Torture chamber," instead, as response to Professor Scarab's question.

He shifted on his spot, and grumbled under his breath. His bum was beginning to hurt, and he wished for a pillow.

What an absolute toilet, this class was.

What was a classroom without chairs? Or pillows on the floor? November cast a glance over the floor and wrinkled her nose. It wasn't as if she wasn't prone to rolling about outside in the grass and dirt, running around with Edita - but the combination of how dirty the floors probably were and how uncomfortable they were was far from pleasing. Her gaze shifted to Ezra, who managed somehow to sprawl about on the ground.

But then. Ezra could make most anything into a bed, November was certain. Could probably curl up in a window, if he so wanted.

At Eddie's comment, she snorted and tried to mask it with her hand, returning the girl's grin. From what she'd heard of Fiona Happenstance (and when it came to Edita, she'd heard quite a bit about quite a lot of people she had no faces to put to names), she sounded like a doozy. Who would definitely like to add on a half-bath.

"Rather silly question, innit?" asked November innocently. "I mean. A room can have lots of purposes, really. Purposes upon purposes. You just said it yourself! It can be used for hiding from Prefects. It can be used for a picnic. It can be used for a tutoring session. You could prob'ly lock up someone here, I reckon, if you felt like doing so. Could do like Carver and make a nap of it."

Honestly. What was Professor Scabior looking for.

Scabior shrugged and then nodded. "Yes, in fact thats a really practical use for it."

"We do hold club meetings here." They had just said that. Hadn't he been listening? He got a nod either way.

"Technically any room could be used for hiding but I like they way you are thinking."

Scabior just smirked. "You'll see."

Uh...."Yes." Didn't matter if it wasn't the answer he was looking for, yes all the same.

"Evidence too...?." Was she looking to hide something?

"It can be yes."

"Hasn't been used like that before, but good answer." Since it was in the great hall and all that.


"Well....if you meant a secret meeting. Other than that...I wouldn't see the purpose in trying to get in here for a meeting." Took up too much time.


"We could yes." Good answer. Even though he had heard it before. It was just good coming from a Slytherin.

"I assure you that if staff members do not have the capability of withholding emotional outburst they would quickly be dropped from the staff." Since they weren't 14 year olds.

"I don't think the Headmistress practices her speech that much." Pssh. More like not at all. Still better than Tate though. A monkey was better than Tate.

"I doubt that, since the point of having Board of Governors here is to have them be seen." Nice try though, he guessed.

"We generally try to put or trophies in the trophy room." To have them displayed and all.

"No." Professors didn't do that.

"They couldn't but they wouldn't. It would be a downright mess." Not to mention some animals might kill each other.

Scabior simply stared."Do you actually want to turn this room into a swimming pool?" Like, actually? Because he could do it.

He nodded. "Yeah, good idea.."

First the swimming pool now a skating rink. "I hope you are aware Mr.Branxton that Hogwarts isn't an amusement park." In case some people had forgotten.

"Good luck being found." They would probably get locked in and starve if they attempted to hide in this room. Pretty ironic considering how close it was to food.

"Trust me Sierra I don't have time for trick questions." Scabior murmured. Nope. No time to waste on them at all. "But yes you are right." As unimaginative as that answer was.

"This room would not be able to hold every single student. And placing an expansion charm would be pointless if we already have a room as big as the great hall." It COULD be used for that. But it would be a waste of time.

Scabior shrugged. Happenstance. "Well, it would make sense considering how food and drink have the ability to want to use the bathroom. though Hogwarts is so old I doubt anymore bathrooms would increase how valuable it is."

Scabior actually....liked that idea."Remind me to pitch that idea to the Headmistress. It would be perfect then for detention." First years.

"Perhaps its a perfectly normal question and your answer is just silly." Hm? Had she thought about that? "But you are right. It can have man purposes." So her answer wasn't that silly, whatever. She was lucky she was a first year, he went easy on them.

"So, many reasons, many guesses, many uses, and realistically this room can be used for everything. From swimming pool-" His eyes turned to the Head Girl. "-to torture chamber" Personally that one was his favourite.

"Before I get into a secret, not so secret element of this room-can anyone tell me what took place at Hogwarts on May 2nd 1998?"

And if they didn't know they might as well get out now, and go pick up a book, Scabior wasn't having it.

Cassia was fascinated by her peers' ideas. Her eyes kept widening, squinting and blinking as she heard more. Some were actually cool and creative. Others were just..eh..why bother. But the point was that this room could be used for any reason. She made a mental note to remember this if needed. No one knows when the need comes for such a space.

She learnt a lot so far. Interesting.

The third-year leaned forwards and listened to Professor Scabior as he said something about a secret or something like that. It was getting more interesting. Guh a question, the snake raised her hand right away, "The battle in which Voldemort was defeated." Everyone knew that! Now the secret please.

Though it wouldn't be a secret if everyone found out.

Anya looked at the ground and bit her lip. May 2nd... 1998... That date was important. And she remembered why. She raised her hand. "The Battle of Hogwarts took place that day." she said. And she could only imagine how scary that was. And she, coming from a muggle family, was one of the people that was extremely grateful for the turnout of that. ... and that she had been born a lot later than that time period.

... also. ... where they getting a swimming pool? Because that's what she'd gathered from that conversation.
