Theo was rude, too, but her comment actually STUNG. She'd rather be DEAD or at a muggle school than be in the same house as him? Come ON, he was annoying but he wasn't THAT bad.

Oh look. It was that girl who tried to feed him chocolate when he was having a dodgy tummy. Silly girl. Anyway... Theo echoed West, "Nuffinnnn....." His eyes travelled somewhere else, all innocent-like.

"Oh." That made sense. "So, we can't actually learn Goblin magic, then?" Like, was it Goblin restricted? "We better start finding the right firsties to buy our stuffs." He looked over at Serenity for a moment. Eh, was she possibly out of the equation?

"You're totally right." Of course he was, they were both right. Always. "I didn't MAKE her drink it, and she totally knew what she was doing soooo.... I can't be held responsible." Sorryyyyyy, was truths. He said that bit extra loud so that Serenity could hear.

What.

"Oww-ah." Theo frowned at his bestie, unsure why HE got a nudge. It didn't hurt but that wasn't the point.

Save yo' infamous abuse for the annoying girls, dude.

He wanted to get his WAND out cos she was shouting so loud. But that would risk point-losing, and that simply would not be okay.

"SHHHHHHHHHHHh yourself!" He wiggled his fingers into her face.

Louise walked over to the slytherin table, she sat down hoping it was ok to sat with them

She rolled her eyes at the two boys who tried to convince her that they had done nothing wrong. Seriously? Would Serenity be yelling and wishing she was going to a muggle school if they hadn't?

"Riiiight." She said, showing that she clearly didn't believe them. She turned to Serenity. "So he slipped you a love potion huh?" She shook her head. "Sounds just like something a boy would do; they're creepers most times."

Then she turned her attention back to Theo. "Seems like you were messing with stuff you shouldn't have then got angry when it back fired." Didn't he know better? Things always back fired on boys because they weren't smart enough to pull stuff off successfully. Duh. Yet they were the older ones.

Then she turned to the other one. "And you! Defending him when he's clearly wrong. It figures you two are friends, you guys are one and the same." Yup. Both boys and both nothing but trouble. Nod.

After seeing how badly this boy wanted the potatoes, Hunter couldn't help but push the bowl over to him. He began wondering when the Hufflepuff had last eaten it because he was acting as though he would die of starvation in a matter of hours.

Taking a bit of the turkey leg on his plate, Hunter raised his eyebrows at the boys and asked, "Are you going to be okay?" He wanted to say he was acting like this because he was jealous of how good looking Hunter was but even he knew that would make no sense at all. Looking around him he saw that the two girls had gotten up and moved to a different table so Hunter scooted to his left a little and offered up the seat. "Might as well sit down while you're here."

Well. "He didn't exactly slip it to me.." Serenity blushed now. @He asked me to try it, I thought I would help out and so I tried a tiny bit but he got all mad when I kiised him even though he was the one that gave it to me." That made sense right?

Cause he didn't slip it to her but he should have known that love potion wasn't hatepotion. Perhaps he was just a terible potioneer?

Olivia saw a Hufflepff come and sit at her table, she did not recognize her from last year. "Are you new?" Olivia said. Maybe she diddn't know that this was the Slytherin table and needed some direction on how to get to the Hufflepuff table.

Cassia considered Alexa's words and nodded weakly. The girl got a point but Cassia wouldn't have phrased it like that. Besides she didn't really understand what the girl said about brain being dead or something. It sounded like it needed thinking and that was Ravenclaw's thing not Snakes! "It does get boring I know," She agreed. Not like Cassia enjoyed lectures or speeches she usually gets distracted by the simplest thing. But she was a curious girl! Which meant that when bizarre things are happening she had to know why! "It's just that circumstances aren't normal so listening would clear things out." She explained. She didn't want to be mistaken for those good perfect students who lectured about rules and stuff!

Didn't she just say it was fun? Cassia obviously is misunderstanding as usual! "Who's Felix?" Cassia asked curiously. And really people got hurt. Like really hurt. "Did anyone …die?" the second year blurted before realizing what she said. "I mean did people get hurt seriously?" She added. Though Cassia would have heard about that. If Alexa meant broken wrist, arms or legs then that was ok actually. "You know worse could have happened, "She said and stopped herself from continuing. She wanted to tell the girl about last term's events just to show her that broken limbs are no problem. But she didn't…still sticking to the let's-not-freak-out -the-firsties plan.

Oh Cassia now was confused. She paused for a second registering that Alexa said. So the firstie didn't enjoy the portkey but she enjoyed the lights going out right? And that exactly what Cassia dreaded! But she wasn't going to look like a wimp! "Yeah the darkness…totally cool," She feigned excitement. Oh let's just drop this, Cassia wasn't good at lying.

[b]"She is!" [/]Cassia chimed in immediately .Uh-oh that wasn't intentional. "I… mean she isn't very nice…" She trailed off not knowing how to explain it. "She just doesn't like…"Ill people or people at all "Erm…she just different." Cassia shrugged. She either was going to say evil or she won't say anything at all. And she preferred the latter because she didn't want to ruin the reputation of Hogwarts. She won’t be responsible for that!

"Hey you." she said pointing to another youngster "it dosent bother you, stop causing trouble and enjoy yourself." Man these first years were really getting on Ariana's nerves did she have to have cardigan come in and tell them how miserable she made HER first year.

It didn't take Scabior long to find the source of the yelling, a young girl. No. Even someone with one ear could find the culprit that made the Slytherin table seem so extremely rude.

"Anyone want to enlighten me as to why someone is yelling while the Headmistress is speaking?" His glare drifted to the students surrounding the girl.

West just sort of STARED at the yellingnuttergirl. And then at the Gryffindor one that was SO wrong about Quidditch. What did it have to do with her anyway?

He would have answered Theo and said nice stuff to make sure Ariana was on their side but then came -gasp- a professor.

Okay. Not really gasp. It wasn't that shocking.


"That girl is being mean and we didn't like it and now she's being crazy because we stood up for ourselves." West explained helpfully. "We were trying to listen to the speech, on account of food not coming until its over, and she's being crazy." Paaause. "And that one is butting in too." He pointed at Serenity and then Alexa.

First years. Honestly.

"But I don't think you should take points, Professor Scabior, on account of they are only little and they don't know any better and its not really that girl's fault that she's in love with Theo. Theo's awesome. But she shouldn't try to kiss him anymore or call ME names. And we don't want to see anyone get in trouble, we just want them to leave us alone."

Not a professor!

How could he back up what West had said without messing up somewhere along the lines? "That's right, she can't really be blamed for being so in love with me. I tried to let her down gently because I don't love her back, but then she started shouting during the speech... which me and West are totally trying to listen to VERY carefully." He nodded vigorously to show his enthusiasm.

"We're sorry for disturbing, professor, even if the girls did all the disturbing really." Maybe a joint puppy dog eyes moment would work for the second year buggers.

Good. It was clear by the girls reaction that she agree. Speeches were mind numbing and they made your head hurt. But then the other thing the girl said also made sense. At the moment she still didn't know what was going on and well even though she was still holding out for some big scary monster thing to burst in at any second that wasn't likely to be the case so she had to listen in order to find out what was going on. What was going on anyway? For the brief second that she was listening to the speech it didn't seem very informative, just showed her a bunch of people that didn't mean anything to her--except the Lainey woman, she would need to have a talk with her later. "Okay, I guess you might be right; I'll listen but I can't guarantee I'll hear or remember everything." She didn't have the best attention span in the world.

"Oh Felix is my Knea cat. I had him with me when I used the portkey and the poor little guy got all flustered and stuff." She paused for a minute, trying to think about the whole injury question. "Well yeah people got hurt, this girl in Hufflepuff tried telling me that people died but then this boy interrupted and said no one did so I'm guessing we all made it to the feast." She shrugged at that. "A few people got broken but I don't think anything was all that serious and there were people helping out at the platform so they should be fine." She just didn't stick around long enough to get help; not that she trusted any of them to raise a wand at her!

And once again this girl proved to understand her completely! She giggled a bit. "Yeah the darkness was awesome...it's too bad it didn't last very long but a lot of cool stuff happened when they got turned back on so I guess it was fine." Though if the train had remained dark she wouldn't have minded very much.

So then Lex was right! "So she is evil then?!?!?" She knew it. Now there was no way that she was going to head up there and tried getting fixed up. Nope. She would find someone else to do the job...but not a student...unless it was this one specific one...hmm...

"Ohhh..." She looked from Serenity to Theo and couldn't help but agree. If he gave it to her to try then he must have at least had some knowledge of what it did. "Yeah, then it's not your fault if you were only trying to help." See this was why she never volunteered to help anyone. It always back fired. "Well don't worry about them, I'm sure there are plenty of nice people here." She didn't need to go home, she could just find better people.

Lex looked up at the girl then shrugged indifferently. Meh, she had nothing to say to her so she would just ignore her for now, then later when something came to mind she would speak to her.

Uh-oh...now there was a Professor...it figured this would happen with all the yelling that was going on but before she could say anything West took it upon himself to explain. She thought for sure he would have placed all the blame on them then have them punished--which he did....partially but at least he asked that no points be taken.

...That was actually nice of him...how weird.

And there went the nice when he started blaming Serenity. Expected.

It wasn't even a shock when Theo joined the act then the two tried convincing the Professor that they had been trying to listen. She would have commented but they sort of seemed to be handling the situation so she kept quiet; just in case she made things worst.

"WELL, Sir," Serenity started with a look at West, someone who certai ly did not deserve such a title, and continued "The last time I saw our good friend Theodore here, e asked me to try a love potion. I thought 'why not?' I could just help him out an all? Wrong. I took a small sip and then," and now she blushed, she didn't really want to tell her professors such things but, "Kissed him, under the influence of this potion, and he got all mad, though I thought e ought to expects such repercussions, considering he was the one offering the potion." she finised as calmly as she could manage still glaring at the boys.

She really liked Alexa. She was nice. And a good friend. She was on her side. And everyone knew girls were more mature and all, so he'd know they were right.

It was a good thing this girl knew how to explain well, left up to Lex they would have probably been in more trouble. Serenity was a smart one and now she could speak up.

"Yeah, that's what really happened and now they're both being mean to her."

They must have been for her to decide she hated this place and that she wanted to leave.

She shot a smile at Alexa. Alexa ROCKED. "What's more Sir, I thought I should warn the rest of the female population, just in case they were to take a drink offered to them by Theodore, as I wouldn't want a single one of them to have to endure kissing such a man as Theodore" she was going to add his last name but she didn't know it...

And of COURSE a professor noticed them and Ariana was not about to let every one of these kids lose house points spertley and well since she was use to losing points "It was my Fault professor." she could smell the detention now. "the younger students began to argue before the speech and i kept talking to them, having them continue the conversation and the yelling." GULP "Im terribly sorry adn i'll accept any punishment." and ALL these underclassmen OWE ME she thought to herself as she awaited her punishment of point deduction or a punishment. she then shot a look too the two girls who kept talking telling them to shut up already! Ariana had this.

Dash listened but that didn't mean he believed. That would mean that he didn't know the gift of all Slytherins for twisting their words and the facts. And if anyone knew about twisting facts, it was Scabior. "No Mister Odessa? I shouldn't take points? Well because you think that I think I'll take that into consideration." Annnnd consideration taken, and thrown out the window.

"Listen VERY carefully? Wow. Very respectable second years you two are are. Please, tell me Mister Kinsley the last thing your new Headmistress said?" Since they were listening VERY carefully. Or trying. If they were trying SO hard, something should have broken through, yes?

A Gryffindor was at the table. One Scabior didn't recognize but she remained quiet.

"He asked you to what?" Scabior blinked a few times at the loud girl. He assumed she was a first year, but still. Any reason as to why he had first come to the table was gone. The yelling was out of his thoughts. "He asked you to drink a love potion? This was exactly why students should have to take some kind of IQ test before being allowed in the school. Who DRANK a love potion willingly? Was she in any way related to Williamson? "Why in the world would you drink a love potion? What if it had been a different potion altogether?" Just.....ugh.

First years. Second years. Slytherins.........CHILDREN.

Scabior held his hand out, right in front of Theo's face. "Give me the potion." He demanded.




He looked over at the Gryffindor, NOT in the mood at all. "You had nothing to say when I asked. So I suggest you keep that up."

"What's MORE is I suspect you not take a love potion knowing fully well that it was a love potion."

"I do not like liars." Especially liars who's story really didn't match up. "And while I respect the fact that you are obviously trying to help your house in some way, let me inform you that Professor Lafay would not see it as heroic in anyway." Yes. You Head of house would probably have your head for getting in the way.

Ariana was officially cool, even if stuff she said didn't work. West would have given her a fistbump but he thought it best to wait until Scabior was gone.

Oh why didn't Scabior ask him to say what the speech was? "I could say the whole thing so far, if you wanted, Professor." Just so he knew. Verbatim even.

West looked at Theo about the potion part though. They didn't have a potion here, right?

"Of course I got mad. I don't like people kissing my face." People COULD kiss his feet at a push - but he wasn't gonna start forcing people to.

He EYED the other firstie, the one that he met on the train. Weren't they FRIENDS on the train? Sure, Theo was threatening to puke all over her, but he didn't so... Whatever. The boy just sighed to show off his annoyance. "We're not being mean." He said in a soft voice.

As Serenity continued to go on and on and on and on....... Theo tightly squeezed his eyes shut and gritted his teeth. She was being so MEAN.......

Umm - "She... she, umm, said something about something happy and made us all clap about it." Yes, he definitely heard the clapping.

He'd gotten the wrong end of the broomstick, mahn.

"Nooo, she drank the love potion in Diagon Alley. In the joke shop. And the shopkeeper made us both pay for it." He added a frown because he wasn't happy about having to purchase a wasted love potion. Oh well. Professor Scabior's hand in his face was very intimidating, you know. He blinked at it, and felt kinda bad that he had nothing to hand over.

"I-I-I-I don't have it anymore..." Did he need to rummage in his pocket for a substitute object? Would a sugar quill satisfy Professor Scabior?

The whole situation was getting out of hand. Theo felt his eyes getting all hot and bothered. You know? The feeling you got right before bawling into tears. He wouldn't, though. Theo was a brave boy.

Ariana was plenty of things but she was NO Liar, no matter what her house traits said "i wasnt lying, i did keep them talking, I might of even talked with them, but i encouraged it, I didnt expect that one." she pointed to Serenity "to begin yelling or I would of not kept us talking." though the younger students were talking about love potions or whatever Ariana was asking questions and butting in and keeping the conversation going especially since she had the two younger girls sit by her, she was just a bad role model and here she was first day of school, getting in trouble, it never failed

Lex looked over at the girl in shock. The last thing she expected was for the older girl to start picking up for them but she was glad that she was because the last thing Lex wanted was to start losing points. Really she was only trying to help her friend that she met in Diagon Alley...how did it get this far.

Her eyes went wide at the Professor. He clearly was not in a very good mood. Probably was getting tired of the speech too. She was already tired of it and just wanted to eat something. Perfectly understandable so she wouldn't dwell on his being mean and grouchy for very long. Instead she nodded patiently. "Yes, I know this, but that was before when I couldn't think of the right way to phrase it...I thought you wanted to know..." She trailed off a little timidly, deciding it not a good idea to annoy him any more.

And oh, they didn't have the potion. Well that was a relief. Maybe this could all end!

Serenity ignored the boys, and she knew it was kind of stupid to take a love potion, but still, did he think she wouldn't undo it if she could? And now her first kiss would forever be with Theodore ick. She was happy a Proffessor had come to sort it out, she wouldn't mind if he took points off of Theo or West. Just not Alexa or nice girl. "Trust me sir, I don't think I'll ever drink anything that boy gives me EVER again, in fact, I'll probably never drink anything anyone give me ever again." She finished, an then remanied silent.

Faye was a little distracted. Arianna had sat down next to her, but Faye really had lost track of what was happening. She wasn't exactly sure what was going on, but she was determined to keep a low profile. She didn't want to get in trouble on her first day already. Loosing points was at the bottom of her list of things to do on her first day, or ever really.

"Arianna are you getting into trouble on your first day back?" Faye teased a bit, she liked that she could connect with this girl. Even though she was probably the one responsbile for Arianna having to see the Healer Nurse when she first arrived at the school. Faye litterally jumped into her lap when the lights went out on the train.

"Of Course, but it wouldnt be a good year if Ariana logan wasnt in trouble the first hour were on campus." she joked back
