Muggle Studies Lesson #3: Real Life Superheroes ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/y...tudies/ms3.jpg ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ When you first enter the Muggle Studies classroom, you can once again hear a variety of Muggle Superhero theme songs playing in the background and filling the classroom with excitement. On the front stage, a huge map of the world is hanging from the ceiling with all of the seven continents clearly highlighted. Hanging on the walls are huge blank posters. Huge Balloon arches filled with blue, red, green, and black balloons are hanging from the ceiling and reach the floor. There is a table in the corner with a variety of cookies decorated with the symbols of Muggle Superheroes and Villains. There are also glasses of Muggle Kool-Aid in Green, Blue, or Red. There are no desks in the room, just a variety of different colored bean bags laid out all over the place. The bean bags have been charmed to be extra squishy and comfy. On the board in the front of the room is a note that states: Quote:

The first thing Jory noticed when he entered the classroom were the huge map and the theme songs playing in the background. "Nice,'' he said to himself as he admired the balloon arches. balloons made him feel like a kid again. After reading the message on the board, the boy grabbed two cookies and a glass of green Kool aid before making his way over to a bean bag. |
Louisa's backpack was lighter with each passing day. It wasn't going to be long now that she won't be needing this bag to be carried around the castle, NEWTs were coming close and yet all she could think of was the things she was going to miss in this castle, and the people. Sigh. The Ravenclaw walked into the familiar cozy classroom but saw no teacher around. Huh. Weird, professor Cerulean almost always made sure to welcome her students with a big bright smile. Louisa grabbed a cookie to nibble on and keep herself distracted and plopped down on one of the bean bags. |
Minerva walked into the class as always she heard the music that had played all term. Looking around she noticed she close to being one of the first ones in the room. No professor.. hmmm Min wondered what type of entrance she would do today. Walking over to the table she got something to drink and a few cookies. Now where to sit.. Looking around she smiled and went to the edge of the room where there was a nice comfy bean bag and settled in. Smiling she looked at the other puff in the room.. "Hey Jory" She greeted him and then went to take a bite of her cookie. She opened more students would be coming in soon especially a certain claw to sit with her. |
Ella bounced into Muggle Studies with a smile, noting the familiar music playing. She was particularly excited for this lesson as it had to do with real life superheroes! People who went out of there way to help others were high on Ella's favorite kind of people list and so she was eager to discuss them. Since Ella didn't see Professor Cerulean she headed over to the refreshment table and grabbed several cookies and a drink. She then made her way over to her usual green bean bag and grinned at the other students who were in class already. "Hello!" |
Alright, Muggle Studies! At the start she was a bit sceptical of it because of the way Will spoke about it and used it to diss Jeremy but it was actually fun!! Weird... Did that mean she had to wait to have a cookie...? Oh! Hehe she didn't see the message on the board before now. Quite happily she snatched up four cookies, that wouldn't be a problem right? Then looked for a place to sit. "Hey Minnie, hi Ella." Both girls got a wave before she went and plopped herself down next to Ms. Important Head Girl. "Hiya Louisa!" GRIN. |
plus Louisa <33 The familiar superhero soundtrack met his ears as he walked into the classroom, scooping up a couple of kool-aid glasses as it has become a habit of his from the past few lessons. He angled his head quickly at the front of the class-- Cerulean wasnt there, as was expected, and he was looking forward to her grand entrance as it has become a habit of hers-- but the world map was something a bit unusual in this setting. Last he remembered about maps in this classroom they were talking about food from around the world. He neared the bean bags and found Louisa already settled snugly into one. He settled himself onto the one next to hers and offered her one of the kool-aid glasses. And a smile. Heh. |
Ethan walked into the classroom, eyes falling on the words written on the board. No, Cerulean.. but that seemed to be the norm for her. The boy grabbed a cookie, not paying attention to whatever symbol was on it and made his way to take a seat. There were several people he did not know, but they got polite nods as he walked past.. then a few he did know. "Hi Louisa.. Vickers," he smiled pleasantly at the seventh years as his eyes drifted over them. "Hey, Minnie," he said, giving her a bigger smile as he settled into a bean bag next to hers. Breaking off a piece of the cookie, he took a bite before class was to begin. |
Ella and Minnie! As Belle entered the classroom, she realized the professor was not there. Belle looked around and saw the other students in the classroom already. Then she noticed the sign and it said to take a cookie or two. Don't mind if i do. When Belle got her cookies and sat down on the bean bag chair, it felt nice. She felt relaxed but sad that this was their last muggle studies lesson. Belle saw Ella and Minnie and she said "Hello!" with a friendly wave. |
The last Muggle Studies Lesson was coming. It was said, 'cause personally even Kat started to be interested in the subject. But well... Kat is always interested in everything as long as it's appropriate. The blonde heard the click sounds of her shoes that made contact with the floor. Ugh, it didn't make that much sounds but how come they were so noisy now? Whatever, let's just get our heads into the lesson. "G-" Kat started. What the firebolt. Professor Cerulean wasn't even there yet. Hehe, that was weird. Blushing, Kat made her way to the usual seat she'd take. Kat usually took a seat at the middle of the classroom. She didn't want to see all the professors' faces in 3D so maybe the choice of location was good... enough to keep her focus. Before taking a seat, Kat went to get a cookie... Oh gosh, it reminded her of Kurumi. POUT. |
Oh, dear Merlin. Did she have to include the superhero music?! Sierra tried to tune it out. It was annoying to her, although, she'd never really stopped to think about why that might be. She did, however, want a few cookies. Lunchtime seemed like days ago, and dinnertime seemed to be taking forever getting here. She grabbed a few then headed off in the direction of the desks. ...or not. Bean bags, she saw. She shrugged to herself, said a silent hope that she didn't fall asleep in hers, and then plopped down in a random one toward the middle of the room. |
Alex entered the classroom and immediately heard the Spiderman theme song playing. Wow, that really took her back......memories of home. She couldn't help but notice the large world map hanging in front of the room. She guessed that they would be talking about Superheroes from around the world. The thing that really caught her eye though was...COOKIES! Alex knew that the Professor could always be counted on to have some tasty treats. Alex headed to the table and grabbed a few cookies and some red Kool-Aid to wash them down. She then headed for a comfy bean bag and settled in to await the beginning of the lesson. |
Upon entering the classroom, Max was unsurprised to find that Cerulean wasn't there yet, but her classroom was quite elaborately decorated. Was she going to make another grand, dramatic entrance of some sort? Surely, he thought, and helped himself to a couple of cookies and a glass of the blue juice from the far table in the mean time. When he turned back around, he surveyed those currently present in the classroom. He always sat by Ella, but... Vickers and Louisa were already there. This was their last Muggle Studies class all together, so... it only seemed proper to go spend it with them, right? Max plopped down in the beanbag next to Vickers, careful not to spill his juice. He gave his yearmates a half-hearted smile before shoving a cookie in his mouth. You eat those sad feelings away, Max. |
SO they were having a lesson her mother, or people like her supermom. Sarah poured herself a drink and sat down. After taking a sip she greeted everyone. She wondered if all of them were fortunate enough to have a supermom like she had in their lives? |
Ahgh! It was time for what had quickly become one of her favorite classes, her last of such classes ever. Which meant that she was both looking forward to and dreading the class. Ahgh. But Emmanuelle did drag herself down here and entered the classroom |
Just got in and Sarah... It was a very positive day for Befelda. She had finished and submitted her homework in DADA and Potions yesterday. Cramming and rushing are done. Now she's off to the Muggle Studies, a very fascinating subject she always wanted to know and learn about. She then packed and grab her things and went straight to the Muggle Studies classroom. Just few more inches from the door, she can already hear the Muggle Superhero theme songs played inside. And as she entered the door, she saw a huge world map hanging from the ceiling, together with the blank posters. And not far from where she stood were bean bags which she believed were charmed for comfort of the students who will be sitting on them. And of course, Befelda's eyes spread wide open and sparkled as she saw the Muggle Superhero cookies and kool aid glasses. These yummy treats never failed to pass Befelda's eyes. She quickly ran off the goodies, took 2 cookies and a glass of kool-aid and looked for her favorite colored bean bag. Quote:

Last Muggle Studies lesson of her Hogwarts career. Kurumi really wanted to feel sad about it, she really did, because it had been interesting seeing through the lens that witches and wizards did when it came to nonmagical things, but the site of bean bag chairs and food caused the Gryffindor to frown slightly. Nope, she still wasn't going to grab any food or drink for during the lesson. Kurumi made her way towards a purple bean bag chair and sat down, removing her quill and parchment from her bag and trying to find a comfortable sitting position. One where she didn't sink too far down into the chair or anything. She had to wonder what sort of entrance the woman would make this lesson...or what costume she would be in. |
Cookies? Alex was definitely excited for this lesson. And BEAN BAG CHAIRS? Could it get any better? He smiled and popped a cookie in his mouth and then he headed to his usual section of the room. He sat down and pulled out his notes. Real life superheroes? Hmmm.... |
Vivi entered the room and cast a long glance in the direction of Max, Vick, and Louisa before moving further into the room. This was a class that she always took seated beside Vick, mostly so he could help her with the superhero stuff, but under the circumstances... she didn't feel right about it. She made an apologetic face at Max before curling up on the beanbag beside Kurumi. "No capes today?" She nudged the girl and offered a half smile. How could they even take this class without capes or masks or costumes? |
Welcome everyone!!! Gemma clicked into the room in a tailored black suit jacket and pencil skirt with silver sparkly heels on. She smiled at each of the students as she clicked through the classroom. This lesson was going to be a little bit different than the others. It would be less theatrical in a sense. When she finally reached the front of the room, she glanced across the class and then walked to the board and erased the welcome message and then she turned back around. "Welcome everyone once again to Muggle Studies. This will be our final lesson of the term...my how time has flown by this term!" she said with a little nod up and down. "We have focused on superheroes and villains from the Muggle community over the past few lessons and today we take those lessons to a new level." Slowly she motions to each of the posters that are blank and hanging around the room, "You'll notice that the posters this class are blank...that's because ya'll are going to help me identify whom you each believe are the real superheroes in the history of both Muggle and Wizarding Society." "So, let's get this started with a little review to get your brains going...Please remember to raise your hand with your answer....Everyone please share one trait that you feel like a Superhero should possess.." she said a she walked to the board and picked up a marker to start writing down all of the answers. OOC: Okey dokey...class has started so please don't post your charrie coming in late...please remember to raise your hand before you answer. I'll leave this question up until the morning allow more answers...Remember Gemma is watching so keep the conversations to a minimum... |

Lex shot a look at Vickers when he took a seat next to Louisa. Not even a hello? She was offended. The boy was walking on a rather thin line, treating her like she was invisible or something when she was right next to his girlfriend. Hmph! Well she could ignore him too. IGNORE. Her attention went to the Professor when she entered and started the lesson. It was only after the Professor mentioned it that the realized the posters were blank; quite the oblivious one she was. Meh. It couldn't have been that important...right? She listened to the question then her hand flew up almost like an involuntary response. Lex soooo knew the answer to this because she'd been saying it all year. "A hero has to be brave!" Yup. They had to be. They had to be willing to attack danger head on and take risks. They also had to be sneaky too because Vivi said true heroism was not getting caught. It made sense when you thought about it because well, everything that Vivi said made sense, duh. |
Well that was a simple question. What should a hero be like? For a moment Kat pondered. She was thinking for the right words to say. To have an icon, she thought of the different Muggle heroes. You know, the ones like Spiderman and Batman and that weird superhero that had his underwear above his pants. What could best describe them... or what should they possess? Whatever, that was the point. Kat raised her hand to answer. "A hero must be alert especially in times of danger," she said. Well, if someone was actually about to die and the superhero was stupid enough to fall asleep then he is no hero. GLARES FOR THEM. |
Awar nibbled on her cookie as she thought of characteristics that a superhero should have. Well, each has a different and unique thing to give, but at least....She raised her hand, "They should be understanding!" |
Max was trying not to choke on a mouthful of cookie when Vivi entered and walked passed him. She... wasn't going to join the group? She didn't want to sit with her yearmates? When she acknowledged him, he gave the girl a deep frown and eyes that said, Vivi? Why don't you love us? As Cerulean entered the room, Max downed the last of his bizarre Muggle Kool-Aid and set the cup aside. Real superheroes? That could be interesting. With a hand raised lazily, he offered, "Determination." A superhero wouldn't be too super if he or she gave up when things got tough, right? |
